Everything is handrolled at the moment, and the tastes are really good and genuine.
I appreciated a lot the rice/fish ratio, as rice is not too prominent allowing you to test several options without feeling overwhelmed.
The tartare and uni (sea urchin) in particular are a must, very fresh and yummy.“

“I discovered this place online about a year ago and have been a repeat customer ever since. I've done a lot of exploring on their menu and have never been disappointed. Everything is fresh, flavorful & delicious. I'm no foodie, but I know these guys keep me coming back. AND their delivery packing is so freaking adorable!! The fish is so fresh, melts in your mouth, and seasoned with great combination of flavors. I normally go into great lengths describing the taste of food, but in this case, I do not want to describe more because you have to experience each piece for yourself and enjoy the element of surprise. Service and ambience are amazing! This place never disappoints!“

“We only cale here for my 15 year old sister. This review is based from her thoughts. SHE LOVED IT! She found out about this place and their push-up sushi from TikTok. She loved everything about it. The whole concept is interesting. The space is small, but well laid out. They also have sushi by the weight where you go and pick your sushi, as much as you want and pay by weight.“

A Chicago based colleague recommended The Evie. What a pleasure. The food - signature sushi role was one of the best I’ve had and I’m an east coast fly fishing fanatic- was excellent. The atmosphere is my favorite blend of locals and visitors. If you’re lucky you’ll have Daniel as your bartender who will custom make you a cocktail based on your liquor and taste preferences and next course choice.

The Ice cream desert was mind blowing. You don't have to take my word for it, but I guarantee you, you won't find another Sushi restaurant in the city of Chicago as good this one. My fiancé tried the pad thai with shrimp on one visit and the basil shrimp fried rice on another, and both dishes were full of flavor and so satisfying. Neko Sushi has quickly become one of our favorites. Everything we’ve tried has been consistently fresh and tasty. Oh and they are BYOB!“
