“I try to support our local restaurants as much as possible. When this Thai place popped up I had been happy to try it. It took me a few months to remember todo so. After a busy day I decided to order an pick up. Atmosphere is a modern sleek Asian fusion. Almost spa like. Families and groups of all ages were there enjoying their meals. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Always greeting you with a joyful hello amd smiles, even when they are swamped. Food is pretty good for a lower cost place. You can tell it is fresh ingredients and chefs that know how to create comfort food that looks beautiful and tasty. I have alot of food allergies and this place was open to working with me. I recommend them for a casual to nice dine in and definitely for any take out party!”

“We've not been there since 2017 due to relocation but have nothing but fond memories of Dover Straits. When we bought our house in Grayslake in 1995, our realtor took us there to celebrate. We continued going, mainly for birthdays, anniversaries or impress out of towners, and were never disappointed. We have immediate access to super fresh seafood in Florida but miss the ambiance and supper club vibe Dover Straits provided. Loved that the owners always greeted us like we were worth a million bucks.”

“When I ordered my pizza the man on the phone was super kind, he listened to what I needed and let me know in advance that there would be a delay on delivery. When I called back to upgrade my order he was kind about it and updated what I needed. Our pizza came hot fresh and delicious.”

“Franks for the Memories has officially stolen our hearts.. again! My boyfriend and I came back for our second visit, and it was just as amazing as the first. We ordered the boneless wings and fries with cheese sauce, and everything was absolutely delicious. The wings were packed with flavor, the fries were perfectly crispy, and that cheese sauce… heavenly!

Even though the place was busy, the staff had such a great, lighthearted attitude that made the whole experience even better. They were friendly, upbeat, and on top of it all, our food came out in less than 10 minutes! You can tell they care about both the food and the people they’re serving.

We’re so happy to have this gem near our house. We’ll definitely be coming back again and again! :)”

“Didn’t get food from the Golden Kitchen in a fairly long time. Today I was impressed by the one woman show on display, cooking, packing the food, taking orders, and being as gracious as always. The food is good and the place exemplifies the family business model. I’ll go back more often to ensure that places like this stay in business.”

“We had an outstanding experience at Smokin' Jack's BBQ, a truly a fantastic addition to Mundelein.

Cody, our server, was exceptional from start to finish. He was attentive and engaged the entire time without ever being intrusive. Friendly, efficient, and clearly experienced, he took our drink order right away and had everything back to us within minutes, even on a busy Friday night.

At his recommendation, we started with the Texas Twinkies and Smoked Pork Belly... and wow. 😋 I never imagined how perfectly both would be curated. The Pork Belly was unbelievably tender and my fork went right through it. Honestly, I may be chasing that level of satisfaction for the rest of my life.

We ordered a variety of meat trays, and as a foodie family, it’s rare for us to have zero notes but we truly had no suggestions for improvement. The flavors were so well-balanced and dialed in that we didn’t even touch the sauces.

If you’re looking for fall-off-the-bone, boiled-then-grilled rib slab, this isn’t that and that’s a good thing in my book. These ribs are hearty and properly smoked with incredible flavor, served without sauce for a reason... they simply don’t need it.

We grabbed dessert to go and left with leftovers to enjoy later if it survives the trip passed our kids.

“It's a convenient place to dine when staying at the hotel. The menu is very limited and provides your basic food distributor options. The ladies who were bartenders my first week there were great. On my return trip, there was a gent behind the bar, and he was not remotely close to as friendly or prompt as the ladies (one was in training-1st night) .”

I have no idea what I buy is called because it is not written in English, but it is well worth pointing and saying I'll take two of those. They have pork covered in in mushrooms and cheese. There are rolls that are stuffed with spinach and cheese (I think?) , whole cooked fish, delicious desserts and so much more. You won't be disappointed. I always bring extra back to share with our friends.”
