“Typically, I like to go to Chinatown when I’m getting Chinese food, but when it comes to birds of a feather, it is top-tier incredible Chinese food that you definitely need to try
I haven’t had a bad dish there yet, they are all phenomenal!“

“Sal Tang’s serves favorite Chinese comfort food and snacks and is a popular destination in the Cobble Hill neighborhood in Brooklyn.
It was busy when we came here for Sunday dinner and was unable to accommodate us inside even when it was raining (we had booked for outdoor dining).
Our group shared some appetizers such as scallion pancakes and cucumber salad with a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. The cucumber salad was light and very refreshing.
We then ordered four dishes and shared them family-style. We had beef and broccoli, crispy branzino with black bean sauce, their signature sesame chicken cutlets, cumin lamb over rice, sautéed pea shoots, and shrimp fried rice.
Overall, the dishes are decent and with good portions. The dishes are served in a timely fashion, and we enjoyed every single dish that was presented to us. We had a lovely time here. With good food and awesome customer service, you won’t be embarrassed to recommend this place to family and friends.“

“Believe in the hype- the mapo tofu really is delicious. It’s also a gigantic portion as well & the price is great. Do note that it is quite spicy- yes mapo tofu is typically spicy but I did find this to be particularly spicy haha. Mark, one of the servers, was attentive without being overbearing and just was good vibes all around. I’d definitely come back to try other things on the menu.“

“The tomato base noodles might be some of my favorite yet. I couldn’t even wait for it to cool a little before eating. I will say the plum juice wasn’t the best but the passionfruit sparkling drink paired very well with our meal. The atmosphere is pretty good for catching up with friends and grabbing a quick bite.“

“Food is amazing. They go there w the mala and I love it. 10/10 recommend if you are about that life. Service is fantastic also.
I ordered chili woodears (amazing), the mouth numbing chili chicken, snow peas, golden eggplant and topped it off w the VEGAN black sesame. EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING. (well the black sesame ice cream could have been MORE black sesame but few people nail this so it's okay still good)“

“We sometimes come to Yozi after our daughter's school. That's a really terrific place: tasty food, a calm and comfortable atmosphere, and good prices. You should definitely try all three types of dumplings and choose your favorite one! And hey - please bring back the colorful kids' dumplings 😄“

“Great food and good prices for lunch. Stopped here one day when I was nearby.
The sesame balls here are so good!!! For catering we got veggie low mein, braised pork, bunch of different potstickers, sesame balls, and everything comes with cutlery if needed. They clearly label everything and the packaging is great because they seal all the containers so they don’t spill and the food came warm to eat. 👏🫶🤤
FYI there’s great catering here too! They offer delivery and have a great setup for any event. Will post pics of the catering if I can find them.“

“Typical takeout spot but the service is on point. They treat you well and with respect and not only that, the food is amazing as well. Made fresh and with a speed to match it. The flavor of the food is consistent as well. I always order from them without worrying about a thing!“
“Absolutely loved this place! The Tai Chi Fried Rice was amazing — a must-order if you love squid and egg fried rice. The beef tartare, scallops, and crispy eggplant were all great starters and very appetizing.
The duck with the restaurant’s signature sauce was unique and delicious. The shrimp was perfectly crispy, and the steak with potatoes was satisfying and well-balanced. Beautiful ambiance, easy parking nearby, and highly recommend for a date night!“

“Been getting the diaodiao noodles for takeout for 4+ years now and it’s always so good!
My husband does think the beef noodle soup has changed in the recent year and isn’t as good anymore lol but he still enjoys it, just less than before“

“Paid 11.95 for the lunch combo c-- 8 fat dumplings and a foil bag of spicy chicken. It came with a coke, which I don't drink and wish they'd asked me if I wanted to swap. The dumplings came with a vinegary garlic sauce that I drenched them in. The skin was thin and the pork and chive filling was a little on the dense side, which is not a bad thing, just a matter of taste.
The spicy chicken definitely lacked depth and spice. The spicy mayo was also not spicy...“

“Crossing the bridge noodles and the braised chicken noodle bowl — one light broth, one dark with a molasses kind of flavor. This place can do both, let me tell you. And our server was so fun. I’ll be back to split the c. Bridge noodles because damn that was a big bowl of broth“

“It was only one other party there when I arrived so I was able to order relatively quickly. I ordered the Za Jiang Noodle and the Spicy Wonton in Red Chili. I loved the wontons. Those were my favorite. I asked the guy behind the register what was his favorite between the marinated fried chicken and the wontons. He mentioned the wontons. They were really flavorful and had a nice spice to it. The texture was good and everything I had tasted fresh. The noodles were separate from the toppings since I was having it to go. I did end up with leftovers and day two of the noodles kind of reminded me of a spaghetti with minced meat texture. the food was delicious.“

“First time trying this spot last week with my son. We bought a few things from the menu to try. Firstly the lady at the counter was friendly and surprisingly the place wasn’t tooo crowded. Street parking is available. The broccoli was very fresh and tasty, the brown rice was a lil weird textured not sure if it was mixed with some quinoa or what but it wasn’t the brown rice I’m usually use to, lemon pepper shrimp was crispy but the flavor lacked, but babyyyy I think the best thing we had was the buffalo shrimp (not to hot, not to blend) just amount of heat ✅✅✅ I asked for fried hard chicken wings which I didn’t get, and my son shrimp lo mein wasn’t too bad the portions are both great and well worth the money. The hype is overly dragged tho I mean it’s not your average Chinese spot (crab legs, soft shell crabs and other seafood options) but nothing tooo go super crazy about lol.“

“I love Xi’an Famous Foods and every time I visit NYC I make a point of eating at one of their locations. Extra Spicy is perfect to my West Indies heat tolerance. This one is located pretty well and hard to miss. The dine in area fills up quick, so you might have to go outside and find a bench or something to eat. There’s a restroom for customers.“

“i know God is real b/c They let me live around the corner from this place. this place is such a staple in my life, being vegan and on a budget. it says vegetarian (they’re Buddhist) but there’s no dairy or eggs, so it’s fully vegan. prices are super affordable and they have a wide array of options (i only wish they had a bit more cause i go there so often!) don’t sleep on the curry rolls.
BUT!!! what makes this place SO GREAT is Yannee/Yen, the cashier - she is SUCH a star ⭐️ a sweet and spicy diva. she makes everyone smile and laugh, it’s impossible to be in a bad mood around her. she lifts our day even from a 30 second phone call! long live Yen 💛 Jai Zen 🪷“

“Wing Cheon has become a staple in my routine since moving to the neighborhood. The ultimate comfort food, consistent quality and huge portions every time. I call ahead and it’s ready when I get there. It’s not rare that you’ll hear customers talk about how they’ve moved out of the neighborhood but go out of their way for this takeout. Just speaks to how solid of an operation this place is. Love Wing Cheon“

“Food was delicious, we had ordered takeout and stepped outside to wait. They actually brought the food out to us when it was ready early. I think it was 5 minutes flat for 2 entrees and an appetizer. A+ service A+ delicious food. Will have to visit again“

“I've ordered three times from this restaurant since arriving to Borough Park. Every time I order with them my food is quickly prepared and well made. This last visit, I went in while still recovering from being sick with a cold/flu. My order was Chicken Lo Mein with a side of Fried Rice. To my surprise, they were so wonderful and awesome to secretly include a bowl of chicken noodle soup. Just amazing!! It was exactly what my body needed and wanted. And again, everything in my order was well made and very tasty.“

“Always a delight coming to Wei’s! This location is smaller than their Williamsburg one, but it’s vibey and intimate and the food is just as delicious. My go-to is the spicy tofu entree and the phenomenal spicy peanut wontons for an appetizer. But I’ve tasted plenty of other dishes and have never been disappointed. This place rocks and I highly recommend it!“

“The sweet pork Mo was really good and definitely so was the pork belly bun. Really liked it. Tried some other stuff too but no pictures. It was more food than expected too so I was pretty happy. Also had the Thai bubble it it was good, not sweet but not bitter“

“Reliably good well priced food. The 11$ish chicken with noodles and vegetables is a great portion with lots of meat. The lamb is more expensive but very good.
Slightly more U.S. style Chinese food since it’s quite oily but still very tasty.
There’s a separate seating area in the back.
The only thing is that the tables can be messy since the atmosphere is that of a street food eatery.“

“Wow, immediate 5 star review & this is for takeout. Everything arrived perfectly packaged in a cute bag (I’m a sucker for branding). But once I opened everything, I realized the portions were pretty big - definitely enough for me to save 1/2 of everything for lunch tomorrow. Now getting into the flavors. Wow. The Mapo Tofu was sooo yummy, as were the string beans. For my main I got the Chicken with Chili Paste spicy level & it did not disappoint. I highly recommend this place. Excited to try it in person next time.“

“As Greenpoint changes by what feels like the minute, one thing remains the same: Xi’an Famous Foods never fails to turn out excellent plates of hand-pulled noodles, soups, and dumplings. Opt for this place over any of the neighborhood’s new arrivals. You’ll be glad you did.“

“This is my family’s favorite Chinese restaurant. They only buy from here and I understand why. The food is good and worth the price.(Not a place to sit and eat though) I’m vegetarian and they have General Tso’s tofu, which is very rare at Chinese restaurants, actually I’ve only seen it here. I usually get it with vegetable lo mein instead of rice but for 10 that is amazing and it comes with a lot of food. You can’t just trust any Chinese restaurant but here you can trust them.“

“Came by on a Friday night and it was pretty busy but luckily I joined the waitlist so I didn't have to physically wait there. First off the atmosphere was pretty nice, music playing in the background and big screen playing the MTV in the back of the store. The menu was had a few interesting cold dishes and also skewers on top of the fish menu. I was disappointed with the fish as it wasn't very flavorful, there was garlic that was minced but not enough. There was also a bunch of garlics that was in a single garlics from the cover but barely added any flavor. The service was great because the staff came by to ask us how was the food and we briefly mentioned it's lacking in flavor so he brought the fish back in and had the more garlics added. The flavor was so not as flavorful as I was hoping which is a personal preference, it felt like something was missing. I usually go to Xun Yu Si Kao which is a bit more rundown but makes their spicy fish very garlicky. It was a good experience but the food was not good enough for me to want to come back.“

“This is elite takeout Chinese… the kind of spot where a 3.5 rating is actually a compliment, because it means real people are ordering, not writing Yelp essays.
Old-school NY vibe, no frills, no rebrand. You call, you order, you eat well. And they’re consistent, which is the hardest thing to find in takeout. Everything tastes intentional, like someone in the kitchen actually cares and isn’t just throwing sauce at noodles.
This is the kind of place that shows up hot, correct, and exactly how you wanted it… EVERY TIME. No surprises, no shortcuts, no regret the next morning.
I almost don’t want to rate it this high because spots like this should stay low-key. But credit where it’s due: they keep it 100%, and that’s rare.
If you know, you know. If you don’t… your loss.“

“What a treasure! Everything we ate here was amazing, the lightest scallion pancake ever, the spiciest soft shell crab, tea smoked duck that was like the best Carolina barbecue ever. The bean curd with pepper oil. All of it. Cocktails were banging too. And the servers were all fantastic too. Even the ink was top shelf!“
