The Mixed Kebab platter, Kofta Burger with fries, Falafel Sandwich with extra tahini sauce, and El Toum Appetizer were refreshingly homemade, tasted delicious, and proved outstanding bangs for the buck. “This food truck serves some of the heartiest momo on the streets of Jackson Heights. We got 8 thick and meaty beef momo for $8 at Amdo Kitchen. The go-to sauces here are the red sauce and white sauce. The halal momo are complimented with a thicker, chewier dough than other momos - it takes me three bites to finish each one. Amdo Momo is a favorite for those looking for an authentic taste of Tibetan cuisine. Don't forget to ask for the side of radish!”

Everything tasted fresh, homemade, and full of authentic flavor. The dal, rice, vegetables, pickles, and meat dishes were all prepared perfectly. The flavors were balanced, comforting, and reminded me of meals back home in Nepal. You can tell that the food is made with care and attention to quality.

What I liked most was that the food did not feel like typical restaurant food. It felt like a home-cooked meal made by family. Every dish was fresh, well-seasoned, and served in generous portions. The homemade pickles and traditional Nepali flavors really stood out and made the meal memorable.

I have tried Nepali food at many places across the U.S., but this experience was special. It brought back memories of home and gave me a sense of comfort that is hard to find when you are far away from your country.
