“I’m going to give some serious love to the potato bacon soup at East Side Mario’s because this one deserves it. It is extremely good. Rich, creamy, hearty and packed with that smoky bacon flavour, it’s exactly the kind of soup you want when you’re looking for something comforting and satisfying.

I’m a big fan of their soups in general, but the potato bacon is one I could very easily make a meal out of. Add the salad and bread, and you’ve got a pretty fantastic lunch without spending a ridiculous amount of money.

East Side Mario’s may be a chain, but they really do know how to make a good soup.”

“My friends and I were seated on the patio as requested. It was a comfortable enough spot and a beautiful evening...aside from other restaurant patrons who repeatedly went out on the sidewalk, quite near our table, to smoke. They did this multiple times during their visit to the restaurant and it was rather unpleasant. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful so we will probably choose to sit inside next time to avoid any smokers. Otherwise, all was good. We enjoyed the food (bacon tomato soup, honey glazed Cajun chicken, fish tacos and Bangkok noodle bowl) and it was half-priced bottle of wine night so we had a nice bottle of pinot grigio. The birthday girl was able to choose her own complimentary dessert (Main Street mocha pie) which was delicious and big enough to share. Our server (Darrin) was wonderful and she took great care of us.”

“Been a while since we had Subway and decided to take a gamble. First time at this location and family was shocked by the quality of the sandwich. They were handcrafted like the subs on the ads. Looked and tasted amazing. There’s a reason why it’s taken us so long to go back to a Subway. The quality has been going downhill in general and that’s the case for most locations. This one is definitely a Unicorn location. We were so impressed that our daughter wanted Subway the following day. Unfortunately we went to a different location due to our schedule and the subs were not very good. That’s a seperate review.”

“We have been going to this Tim Hortons for years. Recently the staff has changed and their service is not the same. Through it all Emma has been their saving grace. “This McDonald's has a slightly different layout inside than the ones near us in Stouffville, not bad, just different. Still has the order kiosks, tables, booths and counter seating, but this particular location (just off Brock Road), has table service where they will bring your order directly to your table if you hit the toggle on your order. It's wide open inside, and very bright. We hit during the lunch rush on a very hot & humid day. I did hear a male customer complain about his table and chairs being dirty, and needing to be wiped down. Our seats were fine, and our table was clean, and in no way sticky. I think they were just grumpy because of the excessive humidity outside. This location is just across the parking lot from Activate Pickering. There are floor to ceiling windows here that look out on the parking lot and industrial park the McDonald's is nestled in. Food is what we've all come to expect. Our order was correct, and we received the sauces we requested. Bathrooms were clean too.”

“It's a very good local burger & steak house in Pickering. In summer they have patio to enjoy the food outside. Steak comes as burger, they don't add enough salt but overall taste & experience is really good.”

“We made it back to extreme burrito after a busy 3 months. We wanted something that was healthy and great tasting and they didn’t disappoint. The people are so friendly and the place is very clean. The food is so fresh and tastes great. And the lunch specials are a really good price. They have the specials on 7 days a week and for 4 hours each day. It is definitely a wonderful place for a meal whether it be lunch or dinner. I would give this place a 5 out of 5”

“I visited Helmand Kabab yesterday around 3:00 PM, and I had a great experience. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the naan—it was fresh, soft, and one of the best I’ve had.

I also want to recognize the young lady who was working at that time. She provided outstanding customer service, was very friendly, welcoming, and made us feel comfortable throughout our visit.

The party room was semi-private allowing for easy conversation, mingling and great lighting for photos. The food was excellent with lots of great party platter options (and halal items!). Our servers Lucy and Eden took great care of us - they didn’t feel make us feel rushed or like we were a bother. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!”
