“It's really awesome to have an authentic Mexican restaurant like this in Pickering! You can tell they really care about their customers. Food was delicious and I appreciated that there was a kids menu as we were with my 5 and 9 year old. They absolutely loved the starter chips and salsa (so did I!) and their meals of the quesadilla and burrito, which come with their choice of side. Rice, salad and beans were complemented our meals perfectly.

My only qualm was that we came on one of the first hot days of the season and I noticed that there wasn't any A/C. Don't know if it was just that day or if it is regularly like that. Felt a bit hot and sticky while eating but I joked that we were able to feel like we were really in Mexico 😅”

East Side location in North York.
What impressed me is our server, Derek, not only remembered is as great customers, but even our order and preferences, which, honestly, kinds of blew me away. He EVEN made changes to my lady's order which pleased both of us immensely.

If that wasn't enough, our regular server, Geet, was so delighted to see us she came over and chatted with us like we were old friends. She was so bothered that she's didn't have enough time with us that she sent us home with extra bread!

“Decided to give this place a try because I've been driving past it to work. Ordered the 1/4 leg and rib combo and it is fantastic. Ribs were perfect with a sauce that has the right amount of heat. Ribs and chicken are finished on the grill so the sauce caramelized properly. Generous portion of sides and the staff were friendly. I've been told that the brisket is good and based on what I had I'll be checking it out shortly.”

“My boyfriend and I visited for the first time last night after a movie, and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and welcoming.

The only downside was the number of fruit flies around our table. They kept flying around our faces and drinks, and I even had to cover my glass with a napkin. It was quite unpleasant and took away from an otherwise great dining experience.

I hope the restaurant can find a solution to this issue because I would really like to come back this summer with my family. The food and service were wonderful, but the fly problem definitely made me hesitate about returning.”

“Been a while since we had Subway and decided to take a gamble. First time at this location and family was shocked by the quality of the sandwich. They were handcrafted like the subs on the ads. Looked and tasted amazing. There’s a reason why it’s taken us so long to go back to a Subway. The quality has been going downhill in general and that’s the case for most locations. This one is definitely a Unicorn location. We were so impressed that our daughter wanted Subway the following day. Unfortunately we went to a different location due to our schedule and the subs were not very good. That’s a seperate review.”

“My kids love going to this McDonald's. I do drive-thru to get their kids meal then we head in side to dine. The best part about this place, is the playhouse. Its best for kids, age 4-7 years. You can also reserve it for party bookings. Would recommend for parents of young children.”

“We made it back to extreme burrito after a busy 3 months. We wanted something that was healthy and great tasting and they didn’t disappoint. The people are so friendly and the place is very clean. The food is so fresh and tastes great. And the lunch specials are a really good price. They have the specials on 7 days a week and for 4 hours each day. It is definitely a wonderful place for a meal whether it be lunch or dinner. I would give this place a 5 out of 5”

“I visited Helmand Kabab yesterday around 3:00 PM, and I had a great experience. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the naan—it was fresh, soft, and one of the best I’ve had.

I also want to recognize the young lady who was working at that time. She provided outstanding customer service, was very friendly, welcoming, and made us feel comfortable throughout our visit.

They serve the platter with two extra complimentary sauces, which was a really nice touch and made the meal even better. Definitely a spot worth trying if you enjoy flavorful peri-peri chicken.”
