“I’m going to give some serious love to the potato bacon soup at East Side Mario’s because this one deserves it. It is extremely good. Rich, creamy, hearty and packed with that smoky bacon flavour, it’s exactly the kind of soup you want when you’re looking for something comforting and satisfying.

I’m a big fan of their soups in general, but the potato bacon is one I could very easily make a meal out of. Add the salad and bread, and you’ve got a pretty fantastic lunch without spending a ridiculous amount of money.

East Side Mario’s may be a chain, but they really do know how to make a good soup.”

From the moment we walked in, it looked and felt like home. There's a warm, welcoming feeling the second you step through the door, and the place has a clean, modern look without being too loud, so we could actually hear each other talk all night. Our waitress was amazing from start to finish.

She took all eight of our orders and got every single one right the first time no mix-ups, no repeats. She was really on her game, checking in at just the right moments without hovering, and you could tell she genuinely cared that we were having a good time. The food was amazing too. Everything came out hot, well-presented, and full of flavour. With a big group like ours the timing could have been tricky, but the kitchen kept everything moving smoothly and nobody was left waiting.

By the end of the night, nobody wanted to leave always a good sign. If you're looking for a spot for a night out with friends in Pickering, State & Main is the place. We'll definitely be back.”

“Been a while since we had Subway and decided to take a gamble. First time at this location and family was shocked by the quality of the sandwich. They were handcrafted like the subs on the ads. Looked and tasted amazing. There’s a reason why it’s taken us so long to go back to a Subway. The quality has been going downhill in general and that’s the case for most locations. This one is definitely a Unicorn location. We were so impressed that our daughter wanted Subway the following day. Unfortunately we went to a different location due to our schedule and the subs were not very good. That’s a seperate review.”

“This McDonald's has a slightly different layout inside than the ones near us in Stouffville, not bad, just different. Still has the order kiosks, tables, booths and counter seating, but this particular location (just off Brock Road), has table service where they will bring your order directly to your table if you hit the toggle on your order. It's wide open inside, and very bright. We hit during the lunch rush on a very hot & humid day. I did hear a male customer complain about his table and chairs being dirty, and needing to be wiped down. Our seats were fine, and our table was clean, and in no way sticky. I think they were just grumpy because of the excessive humidity outside. This location is just across the parking lot from Activate Pickering. There are floor to ceiling windows here that look out on the parking lot and industrial park the McDonald's is nestled in. Food is what we've all come to expect. Our order was correct, and we received the sauces we requested. Bathrooms were clean too.”

We had 60 people, a 5 course delicious meal, table service for drinks and everything was amazing!! Hot food beautifully presented, cold drinks, the friendliest staff who were so attentive that many of our guests commented and thanked them! We were thrilled with Ada who managed all of our requests, and was there to oversee and assist the top notch servers on our special day! Such a positive experience!! Can not say enough good things about it!!”

“We made it back to extreme burrito after a busy 3 months. We wanted something that was healthy and great tasting and they didn’t disappoint. The people are so friendly and the place is very clean. The food is so fresh and tastes great. And the lunch specials are a really good price. They have the specials on 7 days a week and for 4 hours each day. It is definitely a wonderful place for a meal whether it be lunch or dinner. I would give this place a 5 out of 5”

“I have been a customer of Helmand Kabob for more than 10 years, and normally I order the Qabuli Pulao Lamb Shank and the Lamb Chops. However, they had recently renovated the business and launched new specials and many different items and I had tried the Chicken Greek Salad and the Grilled Chicken with the feta and they were both very delicious.

The reason why I always go there is because they are very clean and provide excellent customer service.

I would recommend trying the Chicken Greek Salad on your first visit.”

“Great place to host a group. We reserved for for a birthday with a group of 14. Staff were so accommodating and lovely. The party room was semi-private allowing for easy conversation, mingling and great lighting for photos. The food was excellent with lots of great party platter options (and halal items!). Our servers Lucy and Eden took great care of us - they didn’t feel make us feel rushed or like we were a bother. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!”

“Well the six of us just finished up our breakfast at Kathryns Diner. The server was lovely. Fast, efficient and pleasant. Our son had an omelette. We had peameal sandwich and a western. Coleslaw on the side. Our grand-daughter had a bagel with a fruit cup. All our meals were delicious. We had two fruit cups and there were six different fruits in the large cup. The price was right! Definitely, give it a try. The lunch and dinner menus look inviting too.”

The staff did a good job serving the food and picking up dishes from the tables. Affys was kind enough to donate a $50 gift card for our raffle. We look forward to having more events at Affys.”

I told them this will be the last time I give them business. also, they mess up one of my order. they give me wrong salad.”
