“We enjoyed having breakfast at this wonderful place while in Newport, RI. The people who own it and those who work there are AMAZING, friendly, and take the time to talk to customers while keeping service at the top of their list. They (from the kitchen to the front door) look like they love working there and have created a loving family environment. Of course, the line was out the door and down the street, but that was okay because everyone enjoyed visiting each other. There is just one warning, the portions are enormous. You know when my husband can't finish it, it's a lot. 🤣”

“What a gem! We were surprised by the ambience, it is like a small bistro you'd find in Italy. Food was excellent and the wine list is extensive. Be sure to ask what the specials are, we didn't know to ask. But, the table next to us did and they sounded wonderful. Looking forward to returning!”

We had Negronis, the vermouth cocktail and the green gin cocktail with pistachio and they were delicious. We opted for the poached mussels, IYKYK pizza, and the whipped goat cheese with naan. This was our favorite meal this weekend! This is a new staple when we come to Newport. 10/10!!”

Amazing local farm-to-table options that keep us and those who visit us asking to go back to that one place in Newport, I really loved! The service to guests with one or more allergies was superb! The chef personally came to our table on each visit to discuss what meals were safe to order. I have multiple allergies, so sometimes they would have made me my own off-the-menu special dish. I’ve never gotten sick once, and everyone who goes there with us when they visit always asks to go back on their next trip! ♥️”

Giant chunks of lobster were buried amongst the creamy noodles. We shared the lobster dish and it was plenty. \nThe fresh cod/ Fish-n-chips was also excellent, flaky light white fish. We waited 45 mins for our table, while sipping hot spiced cider - the food was well worth the wait.”

“Today we made a pilgrimage to Basil Yu’s restaurant, Yagi Noodles. My son happened to see that Basil had become a successful restaurateur while he was watching one of Guy Fieri’s shows. We had become acquainted with Basil when we were all involved with a Boy Scout Troop in Manchester NH. We were disappointed to discover that Basil wasn’t at the restaurant, however we got over it when we found out it was due to a commitment to a fundraiser for the James Beard Foundation. Basil, You weren’t there, but your food is delicious. You get the Merit Badge! You weren’t there, but your staff is spectacular! You get the Merit Badge! We wish you continued success! “I can’t believe it took us so long to dine here. This is hands down the best food I’ve had in a very long time. Ambiance 10/10, service 10/10 and food 100/10. The street corn ravioli was out of this world. I also tried the peach & prosciutto bruschetta which was savory & sweet and just sooo good. I kept seeing this Bloody Mary type of cocktail going out so I had to order one. This drink was AMAZING. It was called “Caprese my name” which consisted of vodka, basil, tomato and get this…pasta water! Serve in a martini glass with a little mozzarella ball garnish. The most delicious drink I’ve ever had. This place is amazing and I highly recommend it if you’re in town!!!”

“We had an outstanding experience here on Easter Sunday. From start to finish, everything was excellent—both the food and the service were truly top tier. Our waitress was engaging, personable, and even took the time to share some Rhode Island folklore with us, which made the evening feel extra special. We’re visiting from Long Island and touring URI, and this was easily one of the highlights of our trip. The cod and sole were beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. We also loved the espresso martini crème brûlée and cappuccino—such a perfect way to end the meal. Would absolutely return and highly recommend.”

“Very professional experience, we have been to Bouchard/ Chanterelle before and never disappointed. From entering the restaurant and being seated to leaving at the end of the evening. Chanterelle continues to add that little touch you don't see much of anymore. We were impressed with the food, the incredible service, and the ambiance. Max, our waiter, was great and very accommodating. I highly recommend trying Chanterelle.”

“We were vacationing in Newport from Wisconsin and stopped in at Cappy’s. Sue the bartender was friendly and a wonderful bartender. The owner Joe, what can I say….what a guy! Joe saw us walking to our Airbnb and yelled at us on the street asking when we were headed back home. Joe is a gem of a bartender. He has a gift of gab and can hand out the bs too. Nice local establishment with friendly customers and bartenders. We had Dan as a bartender too and he was a friendly, great guy! It’s a small hole in the wall place but with plenty of seating and Ben’s delivered some great hot dogs. I had 3 different dogs and they were all fantastic so if you like hot dogs I promise you’ll love Ben’s chili dogs and I suggest getting the chili dog with cheese as it’s fantastic!!!”

The large wraparound deck is so cute & cozy, like a farmhouse porch. & the coffee 🤩 I had a tiramisu latte last time, a cherry Garcia latte this time- I was not disappointed either time, the flavors were accurate without being overwhelming or weakening the espresso, & oh so delicious. The food is even better; the attention to detail & balance of flavor in the dishes is off the charts. I recommend the avocado toast or whipped feta plate, and if you’re not into coffee, their teas and lemonades are just as amazing.”

We have been here twice, the first time, the ladies were super nice and fast.

The second time I ordered through the app and had my husband pick up. I ordered a veggie six inch and put extra of all the veggies. Sometimes when I ask this and get the sandwich and get home it still isn’t a lot. This time, opening up my sandwich I was so amazed! Whoever made it did a great job and it was very clean as well. I just noticed on my receipt, whoever made it wrote “tried my best, lol” on my part of the order. I hope whoever wrote that and made my sandwich reads this so they can know that you did a great job! Thank you!”

“I was visiting Newport and decided to stop by your shop with a friend to get ice cream around 4pm on August 31st when we pointed out to the young guy making the order that he gave me the wrong cone. After pointing out that we asked for waffle cone he became very rude and started throwing things around and even swore. Needless to say we will not be returning there again.”

“Food was excellent. Prime and Wagyu steaks on the menu. We chose a prime Tomahawk for two. Perfectly cooked. Bread should not be charged. It is a basic feature at a restaurant in this price point. The room was large enough to have good energy, small enough to keep noise at a good level. View is excellent. The waiter was attentive, not obtrusive. The lounge area has club chairs and a double side fireplace, comfortable for before or after a meal. I would anticipate returning next time we are in Newport.”

“Absolutely great food and service. Dined last Saturday evening with two of our teen and preteen grandchildren. All of us enjoyed our meals and the service was on point. This next point deserves mentioning as it speaks to the culture of the establishment: When my granddaughter became ill (NOT food related), the manager came over immediately to help comfort her… she brought hot tea and took her to more private quarters to relax until her discomfort passed. We were impressed and remain grateful for the compassion and level of care exhibited. We will continue to visit again and again in the future. Many thanks!!!”

“Love love love it here! We came to Beaucoup for the first time a few weeks ago and fell in love with it immediately!!! The moment you walk into the door, you enter a cute coffee shop that has a “gourmet” vibe to it. There’s about ten tables which leaves plenty of room to dine in and enjoy all of their treats! In the last three weeks we’ve came three times and plan to make this a weekly stop!

Their menu is priced like any other coffee shop so it’s pretty on par with everything else in Newport. 7-10$ for custom coffee and 12+ for food. We typically get a Hangover Helper Sandwich with Kielbasa and it never disappoints !!! The coffee menu is seasonal and they always offer something new! We had some sort of Strawberry Shortcake iced coffee and a Blueberry Pancake hot coffee! Honestly, they both were great but the pancake was 10/10, stunning.

The staff is also great. Their GM welcomed us back and is always really sweet. In fact, all of their staff is really sweet and works super hard to keep everything running. I cannot recommend this place enough and we will continue to come back!”
