“My first time there, first let's start with the ambience..it's pretty great, would advice to book table first as it gets busy and waits are long. I was accommodated at the bar as was by myself for a quick bite. The drinks menu had ample choice of cocktails but again it was a quick bite so just had wine. No appetizers went straight for the entrée which was the pork tenderloin..the pork was tender and juicy and wouldn't exactly call it like melts in your mouth but the flavour was awesome. For dessert I had the flan brulé which was AWESOME!!”

I was however a bit disappointed that I couldn't be there for Mr Shabu's altercation with I can only assume an overly entitled Yelper. Perhaps next time.”
“Our new go-to wing place in Sugarhouse. The spice levels just increase the amount of cayenne pepper. To really kick it up add ghost pepper or reaper to any of the wet sauces! Don't skimp out on the habanero ranch for dipping those cajun waffle fries in. Yum!”

“Visited Capital Grille for a siblings dinner. The food and service were excellent. For an appetizer we had the crab macaroni which was lusciously cheesy and packed with crab. For our main we ordered the bone in New York, a few potatoes, the asparagus and the sprouts. For dessert, our party split the crème brûlée and coconut pie. All were cooked/baked perfectly and tasted great!
My chief complaints is they have a very small wine list and some other pricing is higher vs similar quality restaurants downtown.”
“I think that Ruth’s Chris steakhouse is my most favorite and most popular restaurant for me to go there and eat really good food from there and my favorite food from there was there chicken breast and mashed potatoes and lobster bisque soup and hot buttery rolls and chocolate cake for dessert and it was really good and delicious and I would totally eat it all again and touring the restaurant with the owner and meeting the staff was also a fun experience to also and if I were to rate the restaurant on a scale of one to ten I would definitely give it a solid ten out of ten rating from my time visiting the restaurant and I would totally recommend the restaurant to anyone who would like to go to the restaurant to eat there and enjoy the experience there !!”

“I've been looking for a really good pizza and I finally found it. I drove down from Sandy because of all the reviews and man we were not disappointed. We got the Vincent but added Canadian bacon to it and I'm going to tell you it was one the best pizzas I've ever had. We definitely will be back. This is destination pizza for sure!”
“My family comes here everytime after we go dirt biking and we love it! The food is delicious, and always very quickly served. The new pumpking spice shake was also a wonderful blend, and wasnt overpowering. The workers kind, very personable and efficient. Clean facility.

“I really like this place for chicken Sandwich. They have varying degrees of spice, I chose medium. It was absolutely delicious I've been back twice since my first initial visit. I must say I like the Midvale / Murray location better than sugarhouse. Sugarhouse is such a pain to get to right now.

“The park cafe is my go to every Sunday without fail. Everything on the menu is amazing. I moved away for a few years and the only thing I missed in Salt Lake City was The park cafe and the Cathedral of Madeleine. It’s not just the best breakfast in SLC it’s the best breakfast period. The staff is amazing they make you feel like family.

“Went to this restaurant for our 9th wedding anniversary. It's price range varies from $45-$85 per entree but definitely lives up to the hype. I had the citrus butter cast iron Alaskan halibut and a side of grilled cauliflower with garlic herb sauce, and a Beehive jack rabbit Gin Commander cocktail. My husband got the Wagyu hanger 8 0z steak, mashed potatoes, and The Espolon Tequila Hefe cocktail. For dessert we got the churros drizzled with raspberry sauce and a scoop of vanilla ice cream to share. Our waiter Kaden was excellent and on top of things, Jose was our busser and was very prompt, professional, and kind, and the chef was excellent and got our food out in a reasonable amount of time. Best Halibut I have ever had and best steak he has ever had. “This Starbucks is probably one of the busiest locations in the valley because it is located in the U of U Hospital and healthcare providers are always tired & overworked. The amount of volume and fast service this location still does is so impressive, I give props to these baristas! Literally they are keeping this hospital going and running.The drinks have always been made properly and have always been just as delicious even with how busy the baristas are. I enjoy Frappuccino's the most, especially the Mocha Cookie Crumble one, so that is my usual order. I think because of the amount of orders that come through in a day, they do not allow online orders to mess with the queue (is what I believe), which may be kind inconvenient for some, but this location is almost purely for healthcare providers, so those who NEED a coffee will come and wait in the long-looking, but actually short line.Most people that come by the Starbucks do no sit in the area, they normally take their drink and go. This is a high-volume, to-go based Starbucks, so the turn over in the area is quite a lot and so there will normally be seats available if you're looking to sit. It may look crowded, but it's just providers waiting for their drink to take back to their unit.”
“Going here is genuinely a life changing experience. For 4 something (I don't remember but I know it's less than 5 bucks after tax) you can order tacos al pastor. Al pastor I think means marinated pork. They will hand you a number and within like three minutes they call your number and then you open your to go box and what awaits you is a medium sized tortilla overflowing with meat, pico, cilantro and onions. They also give you a salsa with two choices of spice level on the side. The best part is they include a second tortilla on the bottom. So you can try and double wrap the behemoth or just have two tacos. And oh my gosh, these tacos are amazing. It's so much meat and it tastes fantastic. The service is amazing and it's so quick. I love this place”

“Historical building downtown with a lovely fireplace inside inviting you to have a beer or two. Found some free street parking along a road around the corner. Pretty busy for the evening of Halloween. Food menu was typical pub fare but plenty of options and the bison burger specifically was delicious. Had an oatmeal stout and a Munich dunkel, both of which were tasty. Really cool spot overall, would return if I lived locally.”

“I live in Colorado and never heard of Alpha Coffee. I visited Salt Lake City, and friend recommended we meet at the downtown location. I ordered an "Aztec" and it was great. Something different, new and tasty for me. I liked the drink, the vibe and the servers ... the whole experience was great! I look forward to my next visit to SLC. I'll stop at Alpha again - to try the Poly! :)”

For lunch I had the S1 Pho and my husband and the Curry fried rice again amazing! We finished our meal with the Vegan Flan and omg sooo good!!! We had no idea coming here that is was a Vegan restaurant and I was a lil worried but it did not disappoint at all. I absolutely loved it and will definitely be back!!!”

We liked that there was something on the menu for kids and vegetarians. This made it very convenient for all of us. I tried the zucchini fries for the first time, and I love them!”

I'm already dreaming about the next time we can go back! 😍 We ordered the mole, bistec, kids carne quesadilla, and guac. We couldn't finish it all and get to eat it again which is the best part LOL. I was intrigued by their combination platters and if we hadn't come to try the mole specifically we would have gotten one. We will definitely try them next time (large quantities for family style dining). I loved the bright colorful napkins keeping my tortillas warm 💛”
“Overall, an ok experience for an airport dining. Located by B3, if you are going to be near the first B gates, it's a good choice. My able was.a.bit wobbly, but usable. I went with the fish n chips, and it was good. Fries are good size and crisp. Fish was crispy and delicious. Fast service. Prices are typical for an airport around $20 a.dish.

“The tomahawk steak was good. However, I asked for a medium, and it came out medium rare. I don't like sending my food back, so I stuck with it, ate what I could, and took the rest home to cook to what I originally ordered. I've yet to find a restaurant in Utah that can make a steak.”
“My husband and I decided to give their breakfast a try this morning and we are so glad we did. Started with French press coffee and warm donuts. Amazing! Then a vegetable frittata with breakfast potatoes and fresh fruit. The food was delicious and the price very reasonable. We would definitely recommend and will be back again!”

“First time here and will absolutely be coming back! We went on a Thursday night and it was pretty packed. We ended up waiting around 35-40 minutes. They don’t have traditional handheld menus, they have QR codes at the table you’re seated at. The menu has lots of options to pick from and we loved everything we tried. We sat in front of the kitchen and were able to watch the kitchen staff hand make everything. The food tasted fresh so flavorful!”

“This place is the emoji of chef’s kiss ?. I landed in SLC and had a few hours to burn before I get into my day. Pulled up yelp and saw this place close to downtown (it’s a little outside but part of downtown - by the library) and thought should be fine. I was wrong, it was way better than fine.
The shop shared a kitchen with lady flour so the signage is a little confusing but it had a very old school vibe. Anybody who had been into an old school cafe or donut shop will remember the tables. The music and ambiance created a chill environment. A+
I ordered a breakfast sandwich and coffee and talked to the cashier if I could chill for a few hours. He said of course and gave me the WiFi password - service A+.
I take my first bite of my breakfast sandwich - heck yeah it was good. A+
I’m a fan of this place. If I lived in SLC, this would be my go to spot. Definitely plan on coming back when I leave California and find myself in SLC.”

“I'm scoring this higher than I think I should. I have been to many of these. These guys follow the same format as the ones I've attended in Las Vegas and San Diego. There were things missing as I compared them.
First. All the others do pictures with your significant other free of charge with fun back drop and props.
Second. Others decorate to help with the atmosphere.
Third. I prefer them bringing us drinks instead of having to frequent the bar.
Forth. They could probably use some mics instead of screaming. It was cringey at times.
Fifth. We are in Utah and I thought it was weird that all their prizes revolved around alcohol. Maybe consider your audience and be more inclusive.
Sixth. Because I had attended others my wife and I knew from the moment we walked in who the suspects were. Might want to disperse the cast members in a different way and time.

The absolute best fries and giant soft pretzels I have ever had, and I live in a heavily German city (Cincinnati). Cherry Mother Pucker by Bewilder also a solid 5/5 sour; great/ clean flavor! So good that we came back twice while in the area!!”
“One of the best hotpots I have been to. It's a good price, it comes with some seafood (enough if you don't like too much), unlimited drinks, and meat for $28 that's the stantered choice. (More seafood is $58 ish) The appetizers are so so good, especially the steamed sweet buns. Staff is always very welcoming and nice, asking if you need anything. Food and quality I feel like are really good, it tastes fresh, and the spicy broth is my favorite.”

If you order nothing but the ube pancakes, you could be happy for the rest of the day. These pancakes are fluffy and the passionfruit cream between them is to dieeee for. I’d personally come back just for the pancakes!!!
We also ordered the Vegan Bahn Mi, a side of bok choy and avocado toast with a side of potatoes. Everything was seriously incredible - flavour profiles were well balanced. While there was a slightly spicy sauce on the eggs, it was more tangy than spicy and paired perfectly with the eggs. The Vietnamese coffee was made perfectly - not too sweet and had a hint of bitterness from the coffee so you know it’s the goood stuff.
I don’t drink so while I can’t vouch for the alcoholic drinks, I did see a lot of people order them as well!
The ambiance and decor are also awesome.
Parking: there are lots of 2h parking spots for free around the corner and across the street as well. I went on a Sunday so it didn’t seem like the 2h rule was super enforced but take this advice on your own discretion! I am sure weekdays are more strict.

My party included an 80 year old, and someone in a wheelchair. Accessibility and a limited wait was important. I was thrilled to learn the manager at Cucina was willing to put a reserved sign on one of the outdoor tables for us. When I arrived a few days later the majority of the tables had umbrellas set up but ours did not so I went inside to ask if they would be willing to set one up for us. Within earshot I heard who I assume to be the manager tell the nice young man at the register that our group does not get any “special treatment” (since they don’t typically take reservations per se). So completely rude and so irresponsible to say where I could hear it. The woman taking the orders at the counter was impatient, unhelpful and not necessarily kind or pleasant. Her responses to my aunts’ questions were snarky. The young man working the register was really nice. The food was pretty good. I will never visit this restaurant again and certainly wouldn’t plan a big family birthday lunch here again. Disappointed to say the least.”

“So good! Service was great, atmosphere was good. We went on a Friday and they had a live DJ, he played great music but his little too loud. Menu was great! We had the bone marrow tacos, bread basket, sea bass and the whiskey ribs. Everything was amazing! The ribs were just okay. Fish wash so good! We will definitely go back and try different things off the menu! It was a busy night Siri upfront door kept opening and closing, which made it a little chilly inside.”

Once you’ve been there a couple of times they remember you and pretty much know what your “usual” is. Dennis, the owner, has been there a few times when we were there and he always comes over to say “thank you for coming in.” He even covered our bill one time when he found out we are Veterans. “My partner has acute Celiac's disease but we both looove trying new food and especially seafood. The menu isn't marked but the staff is friendly and careful- they let us know which foods were safe, made sure to note it on the ticket, and he didn't get sick! They don't have perfect understanding of drinks though- beware the Red Port (fortified wine) and whiskey/rum. The grilled calamari was a lovely app. My partner had the whole Branzino and i had the King Salmon. They were both excellent- extremely fresh, clean tasting, and cooked perfectly. The only complaint about the salmon is that the beans underneath were a tad too hard for me. I like them buttery and they had a bit of a bite. I still cleaned the plate though! Highly recommend the flourless torte as well. They have amarena cherries on them which we've found to be gluten free from some and glutened from others. They were gluten free here when we went but just a heads-up. I also want to mention that i get easily overwhelmed by harsh lighting and loud music. I sincerely appreciate that the music was present but not overpowering. The lighting was also calming and perfectly dimmed to set the atmosphere. A very enjoyable experience!”

“This is going to be a long review. When you first walk in you are met with a delicious aroma of fresh bread, and pastries. The staff beats you with such sincerity that you feel like your family. I had called to put in a large catering order Tuesday afternoon right before closing; Wednesday was a holiday and I needed it by Thursday morning. They had everything boxed up ready to go…. Only for me to realize the coolers I bought were not big enough for a box. They offered to repackage everything into smaller boxes. The smaller boxes worked perfectly. While I waited I ordered the Turkey, avocado, bacon sandwich. I can honestly say that was the best turkey avocado, bacon sandwich I have ever eaten. As I write this, I am thinking of how delicious that sandwich was and trying to convince myself that a 50 mile drive for a sandwich is a bit much. The turkey was a thicker cut, juicy, flavorful, and it had that Thanksgiving roasted flavor to it. The bacon Cooked perfectly, not too crisp so you don’t chip a tooth , and not underdone where it is chewy. The avocado was fresh, and it was ripened to the perfect stage. The sandwich also contained some lettuce, and a dressing, which was delicious. All of this delectable goodness placed on fresh bread. The bread had a perfect crunchy outer crust While the inside was soft. The bread itself had an amazing flavor to it with all the seeds and nuts in it made a perfect sandwich. I will write a follow up after the party tonight. It will include photos.”

That, along with their truly delicious food, is just 1 of the many reasons I keep coming back. Each day they serve a different daily special. Their meatball sub and sloppy Joe's are my favorites so far. Their chicken cordon blue is FANTABULOUS as well. But, it's more than just the food that keeps me coming back. “VFW posts are well known for being very supportive of veterans and this post is no exception. They run an open bar, non-veterans are welcome, and you don’t need to be a BFW member to have a drink there. Drinks are very cheap, the bartenders are friendly and fast, you can run a tab with a credit card, and they have pretty good bands most weekends. This is not a fancy bar. I was there with some other vets and it was very friendly. I recommend it.”

“The atmosphere is incredible, and the staff is very friendly and helpful! I got the Refuel salad and it was very mid, unfortunately. Really nothing special about it, and nothing I couldn't whip together at home in 5 minutes and for, at most, half the price. Others got the burger and said it was decent, but not special (go to Cotton Bottom for the best burgers in SLC). I'm interested in trying their brunch, but I do think the food is overpriced for the quality. Atmosphere is top notch, and if you don't mind paying higher prices for unimpressive food, it's a fantastic spot for date night!”
“Fantastic pizza! They have some amazing flavor combinations and very good crusts. The whole pizzas can be pricy, but by the slice seems like a better deal for the size of slice you get. We tried the Jazzberry, Motorhead, Sweet Gino, and Purple Potato and loved them all. Jazzberry was surprisingly good with the berry jam on top. I’ll go back to try the pasta and other options at some point.
The location is great too in the Foothill Village. There are some seats but I can see how it can easily fill up around meal times or on weekends.”
