“This restaurant is a HIDDEN GEM!! We were apprehensive at first when our daughter and her BF found this place which is semi in a residential area, but once we got inside and met our waitress, we could tell it was going to be great. And it was! From the crustunis with roasted bell pepper on top to the unbelievable raviolis and gnocchi to the scrumptious deserts, WE WILL BE BACK. The food and ambiance were just superb and you definitely have to try this place out! It was fantastic !”

“Can't go wrong with a restaurant that's been a part of Davis since 1977! Family owned and operated through generations. Delicious dinner!”
“The service and food were outstanding! The hotpot we ordered was both delicious and generous, perfect for sharing between two people. Our server, with the pretty blue nails, was fantastic, super friendly and engaging. She made the experience even more enjoyable by sharing fun stories and walking us through the menu with great explanations. We truly appreciated the effort she put into making our visit to Tasty Pot memorable, and we’ll definitely be back!”

This is a chef truly passionate about his art. I will forever be a patron of this establishment- encouraging this type of connection and mindfulness for the environment is what Davis is all about. I hope they are here for years to come.”
“Stopped on our way through from Lake Tahoe to San Francisco. What a delicious lunch our family had !! Something for everyone even 2year old grandson ! We’re from Australia and this Mediterranean cuisine ranks up there with the best. Thanks so much for the complimentary baklava too !!”
“You may find other restaurants that serve these dishes, but not all in the same place, and not for as reasonable a price. If you and some friends are hungry but can't decide where to go, go here. Everybody will be happy.
Oh, sorry I didn't take a picture of the food, I just couldn't wait to eat it.”
“First time visiting. They have a lot of variety of drinks, and some drinks that I haven't seen at any other boba places. Quick service. Want to come here again to try out more drink flavors. I got the brown sugar boba mochi milk tea. Was a little too sweet for me but you can pick a less sweet option. The mochi was a bit odd, it was slimy and honestly I really didn't know what to expect. I would probably not get the mochi topping again.”
“I kept wondering if Mrs Craig Vanessa was really an expert trader like they say, that she is not a scammer like the others, then I contacted her and I was shocked and amazed that with just $1,500 I invested, Mrs. Craig Vanessa helped me managed my account and after 7 Days of trading, I made my first withdrawal of $16,700. I'm here to testify the good work of her after she made a good profit for me in my investment. She's reachable via WhatsApp with the number on her Facebook: Mrs Craig Vanessa”
“The food is amazing! The owner Jordan was very friendly and informative. Our waitress Diana was a pleasure. The tea leaf salad was delicious. Will be going back to try more food in the menu .”

“This was my favorite spot when I attended Davis the last four years. It is by far the best burger anywhere in town. The staff are super friendly too. One of them got to know me and the people I went with on a first name basis which I really liked! It felt good to be recognized when I went in. I liked the regular cheeseburger but others really liked some of the fancier offerings. Portions are large.
Make sure you get the fries!”
“So my husband and I literally just left the booth for these guys at a farmers market we happened upon. We bought the Asiago loaf on whim. Let me tell you, after we got to the halfway point of eating that loaf we walked right back and got another. ITS THAT GOOD. That was the most delicious and cheesy bread I’ve ever had. We’ll be lucky if that other loaf we bought makes it home. Go to it.”
“Comes to eat really late today and most of restaurants are closed. I had a griddle cooked chicken and wonton soup, both of dishes are good. It’s nice to have spicy food also with some soup, the service is really awesome and she takes good care of me. Made my night, I will definitely come for late night food in the future. I also wanna to try their BBQ, smells so good.”

“I like the servers and the ambiance is younger and bright, but it can take a while to get food. This type of Chinese food isn't as common in Davis so it's more busy, but if you're not into this, not worth coming back.
More a place for snacks, drinks, or maybe rice plates than a meal or soup.
Spicy soup and braised beef had too much of an earthy flavor, would not get these again.”
“Hands down the best boba shop in Davis. I love getting the coconut smoothie with brown sugar boba. I have tried other coconut smoothies and none taste as delicious as the one you can get here! A lot of other places also don’t offer a coconut smoothie. 100% recommend ?!”
“Coffee, ambiance and nut butter banana toast are worth a visit! I visited Cloud Forrest Cafe from Colusa on 2/7/2019 for ‘Coffee with Cops,’ which had a great turn out from law enforcement and first responders. I wish the Davis community had attended to support law enforcement.”
“Food was fresh, hot and very very tasty!! It also has a Full bar and drinks. The lighting is a bit on the lower side. We only saw the food crowd as it was late afternoon and there was a constant stream. Service was super nice and accommodating...thanks for that! Overall, good tasting Indian and Nepali food with nice service!!”
“Omg the sliders were so good !!! 100% will go back! Plus they have my favorite wine too !”
“We went and did the all you can eat hotpot for my birthday dinner and had a fantastic experience! The staff were so friendly and accommodating, they really made the experience worth it (even though they ran out of some hotpot ingredients). I also enjoyed spinning the birthday prize wheel and the food itself was quality. I'll definitely be coming back!”

“Davis’ newest coffee spot! I’m so exited for a new coffee choice!! First time visiting. Volt did not disappoint. Vanilla latte is always my go to when trying out a new place. They had a choice of medium and dark roast. I chose the dark. It was delicious!! A perfect balance of all flavors. Staff is wonderful. Choice of indoor and outdoor seating. The view of the beautiful and humongous cork oaks is superb. Guads food truck is there. We got breakfast burritos. And of course they were delicious. We will definitely be back and I will be recommending this coffee shop to everyone. They also offer a selection of beer if you so desire!”
“Good food, large portions with enough to take home. The drinks are not as flavorful as other places, particularly the Yakult drinks which did not have much Yakult flavor. It was very warm and muggy inside, so it was a little uncomfortable to eat there on a warmer spring evening. We ended not finishing our meal and took it home to finish because my wife and kids were complaining about how hot and muggy they were. Overall a good place to get food, but their drinks are not as good as other Boba/Tea shops in town. Also for the comfort of customers, they should turn on the A/C (might have been broken, but I didn’t ask). We did like their food which was flavorful and would go back for their other food dishes, but may get our tea drinks elsewhere.”

“Very delicious. There was a language barrier, but the lady who helped us was lovely and sweet. You order from the table QR code. I'm not sure if you can customize too much”

“Best Hot Pot I’ve had in Davis by far!!! SUPER SPICY but extremely rich and flavorful!!! The sliced noodles were amazing!! This is my first time coming and it will not be my last!! Happy to have this in West Davis!! 10/10!! Our waiter was also incredibly sweet and helpful!”

“I’ve visited Shah’s Halal Food several times — the food is delicious, the portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable. The chicken tikka, lamb, and falafel were all fresh, with sauces and sides that matched perfectly. The staff was friendly, and enjoying the meal in the park was a great experience. Highly recommended!”🩵”
“This is a family, friendly dinner spot in Davis with lots of seating for guests. The food was pretty good, and I loved the calamari and the pasta carbonara. Overall, the portions were decent sized too and great for sharing.”
“I want to come back here every week!
Servers and staff are very hospitable and the food is amazing! Not only that but AYCE is worth the price. My sister and I have already came here twice.”

“I tried the beef lamb plate and was not disappointed. The food tasted fresh and the flavor was definitely there. I think it would have really knocked it out of the park if there was some cut tomatoes and red onion, maybe. Otherwise, the sauce was great.
I got spicy on the side because I shared with my kids. I also bought a side of fries and was happy with the portion - more than enough for my two kids to share and me to pick off of.
Next time I’d love to try the dolma and baklava!”
“Despite being in a tiny food truck right next to the Silo bus hub, Shah's Halal Food punches miles above its weight in terms of food, service speed, and convenience for a regular student like me. Yes, theres other places on campus, but none are THIS good and THIS close to where I actually have stuff happening on a regular day. All the Gyros ive tried from this place have been well worth their price; having amazing food within a few minutes of walking is priceless to me.
Try it if you ever swing by the Silo, they'll have amazing food even if the UC Davis-provided seating isnt the best in the world. 9.5/10 would absolutely recommend (though you shouldn't sit on the concrete seats too long, ill admit.)
Dietary restrictions: It's got it in the name; No pork, compliant with what most Muslims are allowed to eat, and pretty tasty too!”
“Jersey is the best 👌 always ready with a great joke
And mel the manager is always so awesome 👌 👏 this store is perfect 👌👌 if i could rate 10 stars i would
Edit for update ✨️ still best ten out of ten on everything ♡ mel always remembers our orders n names its always so nice goin in the store”
“Highly recommend!!Coho has many great food options, but a steamy bowl of delicious pho after classes always hits the spot! Meat here is juicy, vegetables fresh, and the broth variety allows me to experiment with different soup tastes. On certain days, I also like to grab some freshly-made sushi, especially the Rainbow Roll! The staff is friendly and very fast, rolling through a big line during regular noon rush hour in no time!”
“Great wine selection! With our wine, we tried the delicious homemade hummus and pita appetizer, best I've had! We also tried the sampler platter, so tastful and beatiful.”
“This is hands-down my favorite sushi spot in Davis. It's the perfect combination of being incredibly tasty and genuinely affordable, which is hard to find. Highly recommend the summer Roll, Panda roll and veggie crunchy. Truly a gem of Davis!”
“David*** and the other staff here are good peoples for real!!! Not to mention the wholesome food-- now that's flavor! Mushroom burger, mac n cheese, and fries of all sorts are my favorites. Cozy & welcoming spot for us struggling students, grads, profs, and undergrads alike lol.”
“This place was nice, it wasn’t too busy which could be seen as either good or bad The atmosphere was calming, furniture was cozy. As for the food, It was amazing. The churros were gigantic and tasty, the ice cream is creamy and soft. 10 Bucks for the whole cup, not a bad place for a small date. Would go again!”

“It's unusual to find a restaurant serving high quality Dim Sum outside of San Francisco, so it's always a treat to take my family to Well Season. Although I'm now comfortable with the variety of dishes available at a Dim Sum restaurant, I grew up in New Hampshire which, to the best of my knowledge, still doesn't have a single Dim Sum restaurant in the entire state. Nonetheless, the staff at Well Season are patient and helpful with newcomers . They have times when they serve from the traditional Dim Sum carts, but they also always have have plastic covered Dim Sum picture menus available that you can mark up with a dry erase marker to select the dishes you want. My favorites are Siu Mai (minced pork and shrimp dumplings) and Shrimp Har Gow (translucent or "crystal" shrimp dumplings. The only aspect of the restaurant that strikes me as odd is the venue. Well Season restaurant is in a former Applebees building, with lots of exterior windows, so the ambiance has a distinctive American feel to go with the traditional Dim Sum menu.”

“I’m here to review Genesis, our server, who was extremely good. Genesis had our coffee and water on the table so quickly, and her demeanor was so sweet and attentive. I haven’t been to an ihop in a long time, but will likely be coming back since our experience was so nice thanks to Genesis 😃”

“Really good food, although expensive
The staff was super nice and friendly. Ordered a double cheeseburger and it was very filling. Paired with fries and a soda though, ended up paying 20 bucks. I definitely wouldn't be able to come here often due to the price, but when you're craving a good burger this is definitely a great joint.”
