The Espresso Gelato surprised me.
Good memorable experience.”
“Love the staff, delicious quality pizza, great place to hang when COVID is over.”
“The passion fruit tea was a 10/10 it’s a good amount of sweetness and I downed it very fast. I also ordered the spicy malatang and it’s been my 5th time ordering, it’s so addicting and delicious. Reminds me of my favorite spot in my hometown. Honestly a hidden gem in davis especially for UC davis students. Come check this place out, definitely a good bang for your buck.”

“I had a great experience at Royal Kabob and Falafel. I’ve been here several times and the food is always fresh, delicious, and full of flavor. The kebabs are perfectly cooked and the falafel is crispy and amazing.
The atmosphere is calm and very welcoming, which makes it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. The staff are friendly and provide excellent service.
If you’re looking for authentic and high-quality food, I highly recommend Royal Kabob and Falafel. Definitely one of my favorite places to eat and I will keep coming back!”
“The food is amazing! The owner Jordan was very friendly and informative. Our waitress Diana was a pleasure. The tea leaf salad was delicious. Will be going back to try more food in the menu .”
“Can't go wrong with a restaurant that's been a part of Davis since 1977! Family owned and operated through generations. Delicious dinner!”
Outdoor Dining
“Went for dinner on a spring Friday night and enjoyed the outdoor patio. It was order at the bar, no table service on my visit. Good selection of beers on tap as well as a full bar. Enjoyed some wings as an appetizer and then a tri- tip as well as blue cheese slider. Good food, drinks, and vibe.”
“Let's start with the one downer, I did not see any prices listed, mow I may have missed them, I was hungry.
I ordered a Carnitas burrito supreme and my wife ordered a pollo tostada.
It is self serve chips with a salsa bar. Our food was at the table before I brought the salsa to the table. My burrito was large, hot and good flavor. The Carnitas was juicy and good. For both our meals it was around $24.00
I want to go back and try some different foods.”
“Stopped on our way through from Lake Tahoe to San Francisco. What a delicious lunch our family had !! Something for everyone even 2year old grandson ! We’re from Australia and this Mediterranean cuisine ranks up there with the best. Thanks so much for the complimentary baklava too !!”

“This place offers fantastic smash burgers at incredibly reasonable prices. It’s a family-friendly space with a lot seating options both inside and out on the patio.
The smash burgers are among the best in town, and they also have a variety of hot dogs. If you’re a burger enthusiast, the double onion smash burger is a must-try.”
“I kept wondering if Mrs Craig Vanessa was really an expert trader like they say, that she is not a scammer like the others, then I contacted her and I was shocked and amazed that with just $1,500 I invested, Mrs. Craig Vanessa helped me managed my account and after 7 Days of trading, I made my first withdrawal of $16,700. I'm here to testify the good work of her after she made a good profit for me in my investment. She's reachable via WhatsApp with the number on her Facebook: Mrs Craig Vanessa”
“Great spot, even if a little on the pricier side. Food was delicious. The waiters could have done a better job of explaining how to control the temp of the hot pot and not assume it was known. We had a few utensil mishaps (i.e. chopsticks fell) not frequent enough check-ins from waiter to help provide replacements in time. Atmosphere was great, and the lunch time session we enjoyed on Saturday was not crowded or noisy. This was our second visit so can confirm the food quality has been consistent and portions filling and adequate. We had leftovers enough to take back and enjoy for one more meal.”

“This restaurant service is absolutely amazing. I have been here when its been they stay very professional the whole time. Give examples of what to try. All of the food here is mouth watering good. But my wife and personal favorite is the Chicken katsu with the pork rice. We have came back twice in week before for it.”
“Solid Italian food! Probably one of the best in Davis. Osteria Fasulo is up there, but Paesano is more affordable.
So for the price, Paesano's is what you'd typically expect. The service is solid, and the dishes are generous. Just know that sometimes the wait can be a bit long for weekends.
It's been a while since I visited, but it's rarely empty and the vibe is excellent and memorable. The spaghetti, ravioli, and salads are great- and keep an eye out on some of the nice seasonal dishes. Enjoy!”
“Wow, a nice canto/HK style restaurant in Davis! They moved to this new location (previously village bakery) and I got to try it this week.
Surprisingly delicious! I went to Tim's before they moved a few years ago and I didn't like it. But I feel like they are way better now. The steak and rice was super flavorful, and the price is quite good <$15. They also have a lot of to-go orders and they had a good number of people in during lunch.
A personal favorite is the bittermelon and beef. It was perfectly well done, and that's not an easy dish to perfect!
The interior is large and spacious and has nice decor. It's quiet and has nice modern feel to it. Parking can be a bit of a pain, but overall not too bad.
Can't wait to try their other dishes- but the steak (with black sauce) and rice is a must try, and also try the bittermelon beef! Enjoy!!”
“Coffee, ambiance and nut butter banana toast are worth a visit! I visited Cloud Forrest Cafe from Colusa on 2/7/2019 for ‘Coffee with Cops,’ which had a great turn out from law enforcement and first responders. I wish the Davis community had attended to support law enforcement.”
“I have been going here since a kid and my parents went here as a kid as well. The food has consistently been amazing. I always get the walnut shrimp and when it’s cold the wonton soup. I am hoping this restaurant can still stay open because it’s truely a part of Davis and the best Chinese food in Davis”
“This Indian restaurant in Davis surprised me in the best way possible. The samosas were so perfectly crisp they nearly made me emotional, and the tikka masala had the kind of flavor that convinces you to order extra naan you didn’t plan for. The staff were cheerful, and the whole experience felt fun and welcoming. A delightful stop that brightened my day.”
“Amazing variety of traditional Chinese dishes that you don’t easily find elsewhere. We shared a couple of dishes and some were really flavorful and exceptional. Ambiance and service are good, but not great. The dishes we tried were:
- I12 Dan dan noodles: 5/5 super tasty and flavorful, but quite spicy
- G2 Sautéed green beans: 5/5 simple but soooooo good!
- D1 Griddle cooked fragnant cabbages and pork: 5/5 again pretty simple, but very tasty and well cooked!
- E7 Hunan style sauteed beef: 5/5 excellent, so tender and juicy and well seasoned.
- I3 Farmhouse stir fried pork with rice noodles: 4/5 very tasty, but the texture of the rice noodles were a bit too slippery for my taste.
- E16 Ma Po the sauce was amazing, but the tofu texture was a bit too soft and strange for me.
- G4 Shaoshan stir fried shredded potatoes: 3/5 I didn’t have a problem with this, but didn’t particularly enjoy them either. Not something to go for again. The potatoes are kind of half way cooked.
- C1 Laotan boiled fish with pickled cabbage: 1/5 the fish itself was tasty, but the soup itself was super salty like drinking ocean water! I didn’t like the taste of pickles in the soup either.”
“Good restaurant, but they didn't do great with gluten free or with vegan options. NOTE: THE RICE IS NOT GLUTEN FREE! (you have to put gluten in your rice?) and they have very few vegan options. I asked for a side of tofu with my salad as a Protien and they gave me raw, slightly marinated tofu. They could have grilled it or even warmed it? So weird. The others in my party had burgers and fries and they looked ok, but pricey for what they got. The staff was attentive and friendly. The space was nicely decorated.”

“Nick The Greek, a good place to eat here in davis, most places close after 5 so if youre someone who like late dinners nick is open! Not long line at noght so nice to eat inside too. Service is good never had a problem, I come here often. Food is flavorful but their desserts are GREAT! Totally recommend !”
“Omg the sliders were so good !!! 100% will go back! Plus they have my favorite wine too !”
“My daughter and I love this place! Food is always fresh. Service is friendly and fast. We always get the best all you can eat package. I think its Diamond. We come at least once a week especially now during the winter season. Our server last night on 12/21 seems to be our normal servers and does a fantastic job every time.”

“Omg!!! I have lived in Davis less than a quarter mile from Mr Pickles and I have never darkened their doorstep!!! I hate myself! Thinking back to all the times I was craving a French dip or reuben and it was at a stone's throw makes my brain want to implode!!!
Well, today was the day! I ordered both of those in sammie size just to try and also save for lunch tomorrow. I am so impressed and glad I've taken the chance. So fresh. High quality ingredients. Clean operation. Perfect portion. Plus each Sammie came with a cookie. What?!?!
The staff was courteous and friendly. Will be back to try everything! So nice to find a restaurant in davis that doesn't suck! Please keep up the work and great training.”

“I got the honey lavender + cookies and cream in the regular size. it came with a complimentary waffle cookie! the person that scooped my gelato made sure to ask for any dietary restrictions while taking my order.
the honey lavender was just the right amount of sweet, and reminded me of tea. I really liked it. the cookies and cream was about what you'd expect, so pretty good.
the cafe was pretty small, all the seating was outside at tables and benches. it had a window that opened directly into the varsity theater next door, which was pretty neat. the place smelled like popcorn :)”

“This is one of my favorite lunch spots in Davis and I come here often. It's easy to access from the highway, with a decent parking lot, and ample outdoor seating. You line up right inside to counter order and they'll hand you a number stand, then they bring your food out to you when it's ready. There's a self-service tortilla chips and salsa bar in the back, and you can choose from any of the self-serve drink dispenser options (including the horchata) if you get a fountain drink (a la carte or as part of the daily special). I love how fast the food comes out and it's my go-to restaurant when I'm in a rush. I've had their tacos, burritos, quesadillas, enchilada specials, etc and they've tasted great every time. I highly recommend it!!”
“On a recent visit to Subway, I had the pleasure of being served by an employee named Mandy. Her professionalism and genuine friendliness significantly enhanced my dining experience. Mandy was attentive to my order, ensuring all my preferences were met with a smile. Her efficiency and positive attitude created a welcoming atmosphere that is truly commendable. It is rare to encounter such a high level of dedicated customer service, and Mandy's efforts are a true asset to the Subway team. I highly recommend Subway, and specifically recommend Mandy for her outstanding contribution to customer satisfaction.”
“Saw it on the map and thought "wiki, cool." I saw it was in a best western and thought, "how cool could it be?" Well, very cool is the answer. Nice place to kill some time and get a mojito. I wanted to keep with the tropical theme.”

“I seen a TikTok about this place and decided to try the Strawberry Matcha Latte. It was very high quality matcha, you can tell by the strong taste of the green tea leaves. It was very good and super nice drink size and amount.
I highly recommend stopping by here or ordering online from this place. I definitely wanna try the Vietnamese coffee next.”
“Tkumi is such a nice spot for ramen I genuinely love coming here not just for the food but for the entire atmosphere and experience. I rember one time I came here and ate ramen while watching the entire rush hour 1 film on their tv. I love their food options and styles of boba with their teas, its such a unique experience I try telling everyone I know to come and check out this place”
“Juzco has been around since I was in college decades ago. It has outlived Fuji and Davis Sushi Buffet. It's simple, and it known for their lunch buffet.
The last time I visited, I was surprised by the fish quality. I mean, the service is not lightning speed, and the ambience is not superb- but it's really good sushi! I am not surprised to hear the international Japanese students frequent Juzco- maybe it feels a bit like home.
Anyways, I gotta give Juzco another try as it's been a while, but for the quality- I think Juzco is up there. Huku is another quality option if you want a more comfortable atmosphere, and Zen Toro is also an average option as well.
Enjoy!”
“Love this place! It needs more recognition because locals don’t even know about it. Great food, great atmosphere!”
“Small quite korean bbq nice for a lowkey evening dinner. I had the bi bim bap. The seasoning and meat were so good. I also liked that i came with sides so i was pretty full. Delicious would go again.”
“I got the breakfast burrito and horchata, and my partner got the california burrito and piña agua fresca. we got the churros to share and the chips + salsa were self serve and free of charge. the breakfast burrito was so good but got a bit messy from the chorizo oil. I really liked it with the jalapeño ranch. the churro came out first so it would still be hot to eat and tasted great. the horchata was nice and refreshing.
the music is a bit loud but you should be able to talk fine. the person working the counter was really friendly and accommodating, they offered us menus since we were having a hard time reading the one on the wall.
I'd love to come here again and try something new :)”

“It's unusual to find a restaurant serving high quality Dim Sum outside of San Francisco, so it's always a treat to take my family to Well Season. Although I'm now comfortable with the variety of dishes available at a Dim Sum restaurant, I grew up in New Hampshire which, to the best of my knowledge, still doesn't have a single Dim Sum restaurant in the entire state. Nonetheless, the staff at Well Season are patient and helpful with newcomers . They have times when they serve from the traditional Dim Sum carts, but they also always have have plastic covered Dim Sum picture menus available that you can mark up with a dry erase marker to select the dishes you want. My favorites are Siu Mai (minced pork and shrimp dumplings) and Shrimp Har Gow (translucent or "crystal" shrimp dumplings. The only aspect of the restaurant that strikes me as odd is the venue. Well Season restaurant is in a former Applebees building, with lots of exterior windows, so the ambiance has a distinctive American feel to go with the traditional Dim Sum menu.”

“I regularly go to two McDonald's in the region and order the exact same things.
It's restaurants like this one that really demonstrates how different franchisees can run their restaurants.
This McDonald's consistently gets my order right, serves fresh food, fast, and all with a friendly smile!
Not all McDonald's are created equal folks. 👏”
“the food was great, people were nice and very cute place! it was a little $$$ but you get big portions and endless refills! The sauce? Amazing! I ate the whole container! The food was buttery delicouse and crunchy. I must say it wasnt the best food EVER... but the vibe makes up for it (it was delcious tho!)”

“Way back in Davis is super well managed and the manager, Rachel, is fantastic. She explained all the menu options at the Wayback Burger in Davis. Her enthusiasm and professionalism were exemplary. The burgers are indeed super delicious. My wife and I will be lifelong customers and recommend Wayback to all our friends.”
“Estelle's makes great baked goods. However, it is not a welcoming place. The times when I do make eye contact with an employee, they quickly look away. They have never smiled, and the whole experience feels...cold. I don't need saccharine American rictus grins, but an even halfway welcoming expression or mood would be nice. This is also found in the décor - super sparse, minimalist, which may invite nice turnover but feels really unwelcoming. Too much white on white on white. It's really good food, but if I don't want to stay or I feel like I'm inconveniencing someone for doing their job, it makes me want to go there less.”
“This was my first time going to the Round Table Pizza in Davis, and I was honestly really impressed. The pizza came out hot and fresh, with plenty of toppings and a crust that was perfectly crispy without being dry. Everything tasted high quality, especially the sauce and cheese. The staff was super friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better for a first visit. Even though it was busy, they were efficient and made sure orders were handled smoothly.”
