“This place was really good and receives a solid 5 Star review. With that being said you must realize you are in a dinner at a small airport. The menu has more on it than I expected. The place was fairly busy and very steady with customers. The facility was neat, clean and well maintained. The full kitchen is within full view and was clean. The food was pretty good. The restroom was clean. The staff was attentive and pleasant. The food was pretty good and the prices were not inflated like in Half Moon Bay.
A pleasant experience and I would gladly return again and again.”

“Anchored in the bay, all the way from Puget sound and a dinghy ride in for food. Walked around and quickly realized this was the busiest spot in town. Cold beverages outside made the wait alright. The "award winning" fish and chips were great! Calamari too. Great food, generous portions & good view of our boats. Staff was fun too. Cheers!”

“We had an incredible Valentine's Day dinner at La Costanera in Half Moon Bay. The fixed menu was thoughtfully curated, and every dish was delicious — the oxtail entrée was absolutely amazing and a standout of the evening. The atmosphere was romantic and elegant, making it the perfect setting for a special night. Our dining consultant, Veronica, truly made the experience exceptional. When we noticed that each table had been given a rose but ours was missing, she kindly explained that the hostess should have provided one and personally went downstairs to get one for us. Her attentiveness, warmth, and professionalism made us feel genuinely cared for. Veronica is easily one of the best servers we've had in a long time. We can't wait to return!”

“This took me far too long to write, but I wanted to find the right words to say. My husband and I had been waiting two long years to get married. We postponed twice because of the pandemic and in the course of that time changed our venue to San Benito House. Let me tell you, that was the BEST decision we ever made. Not only is the venue itself incredibly beautiful and the food so delicious, but Kai and his staff bent over backwards for us and all of our guests. Kai is the ultimate hype guy and he took what normally would have been a stressful event to plan, and made it so easy and fun. I would (and will) recommend that anyone who is wanting a Half Moon Bay wedding, that this is the ultimate place to go. Our guests are still talking about the day and if we could, we’d do it 1000 times over just to experience the magic again. Thank you, thank you, thank you! To Kai and the incredible staff, you are truly THE BEST.”

If you want to buy local or just traveling through HMB this is a great ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ (5 Star) place for a quick snack, meal, read a book or work remotely awhile. I highly recommend the breakfast cookie or a bagel breakfast sandwich! Yes, the pour over coffee is my fav. If you’ve not been here before…. What are you waiting for?”

“We tried this restaurant for the 1st time last night. They definitely need another server, but our waitress hustled and was friendly and handle things with amazing speed. Big shout out to her. We tried about 6 different dishes and they came out hot! What an array of flavor and texture and reasonably priced. The singapore noodles were fantastic, the tofu was GREAT and I am not one for tofu. Honey walnut shrimp, green onion pancake and i cant remember the others. Too much to choose from. The atmosphere was so welcoming and friendly a great dinner spot if you are looking. Highly recommend!”

“I have been Jonesin for for a lobster roll. I ordered the lobster and cheese sandwich, thinking it would be a grilled cheese with a dash of lobster. Boy, was I wrong! It has a generous helping of lobster, the right amount of cheese and perfect on sourdough! This went well with a black and tan, along with some delicious cheesy tots! This is a really nice, friendly pub and I will be back!!”

“I was traveling through California and was pleasantly surprised at the baked goods I purchased here. I got a cheese Focaccia, a jumbo chocolate chip cookie, and a ginger pumpkin cream cheese cookie. Everything was fantastic and the lady running the store was a sweetheart. I also tried my friend's cannoli and it was one of the best cannolis I have ever had, and I adored the unique lighter filling ❤️”

“The prawns are incredibly large and light, almost like popcorn — very fun to eat. Fries are crispy on the outside but soft and flavorful on the inside. Best prawns and chips I’ve ever had. When ordering ahead by phone, the staff are always so pleasant, helpful, and patient.”

“I was visiting Halfmoon bay for work… just stumbled into this place… what a great location! I went on a weekday breakfast time so not much wait but got a great table with fascinating views. More than that the service given by my table waitress Maria was top notch. She made my day with her outstanding level of service! Quality of food is amazing and combined with the pristine ocean 🌊 view makes the time fly in seconds! I was there for almost 3 hours enjoying my morning breakfast. If you are visiting Halfmoon bay you should not miss this spot. The only negative I would say here is the cost of parking - they make Valet mandatory and it’s $35! It hurts.”

“Incredible experience; reservation for two, valet parking, attentive staff, and the grounds are beautiful. We had the Seafood Tower, which was good, but the New England Clam Chowder changed our lives. Pro tip: ask for an extra bread roll, the bread is amazing. We also had their zero-proof Manzana Muels, two each, they were so good. Every aspect of the meal felt thoughtful and carefully curated; cheers to the chef. And the bathrooms were first class.”
