“We came on a Sunday around 11:30 and it was extremely quiet. With how great the pizza, I am surprised it wasn’t packed. The service was incredible and had a very family-owned feel. We ordered a large half Coit Tower, half Verdi (+ Italian sausage) for four people. Both pizzas had high quality toppings with well crisped meat, gooey cheese, and crunchy onions.”

“Anchored in the bay, all the way from Puget sound and a dinghy ride in for food. Walked around and quickly realized this was the busiest spot in town. Cold beverages outside made the wait alright. The "award winning" fish and chips were great! Calamari too. Great food, generous portions & good view of our boats. Staff was fun too. Cheers!”

“One of the best places to get food. Where to start, tacos are A Plus. Ceviche de camaron never misses. Chile Relleno is a must have. Agua frescas are great. The variety of salsa and fresh chips makes it top tier. Anyone craving mexican food is highly recommended coming here.”

“What a fantastic hole-in-the-wall gem we stumbled upon! We were unfamiliar with the area, and found this place was open when most other sushi places were closed, so off we went. Did not know this was a tiny 12-seat strip mall sushi restaurant, but man... it did NOT disappoint!

Everything we had from the pork gyoza, tempura, teriyaki chicken, to the sushi (chirashi don) was perfect. A+ on the fish; large cuts of very fresh sushi, and perfect sushi rice. All at amazing prices.

If we ever return to Half Moon Bay, we will definitely be going back. I highly recommend this place.”

“This took me far too long to write, but I wanted to find the right words to say. My husband and I had been waiting two long years to get married. We postponed twice because of the pandemic and in the course of that time changed our venue to San Benito House. Let me tell you, that was the BEST decision we ever made. Not only is the venue itself incredibly beautiful and the food so delicious, but Kai and his staff bent over backwards for us and all of our guests. Kai is the ultimate hype guy and he took what normally would have been a stressful event to plan, and made it so easy and fun. I would (and will) recommend that anyone who is wanting a Half Moon Bay wedding, that this is the ultimate place to go. Our guests are still talking about the day and if we could, we’d do it 1000 times over just to experience the magic again. Thank you, thank you, thank you! To Kai and the incredible staff, you are truly THE BEST.”

The atmosphere was romantic and elegant, making it the perfect setting for a special night. Our dining consultant, Veronica, truly made the experience exceptional. When we noticed that each table had been given a rose but ours was missing, she kindly explained that the hostess should have provided one and personally went downstairs to get one for us. Her attentiveness, warmth, and professionalism made us feel genuinely cared for. Veronica is easily one of the best servers we've had in a long time. We can't wait to return!”

“Went to Farmette Bakery for the Cinnamon Rolls, the owner was sweet enough to wait for us even though we were arriving past her closing hours. The brown butter pumpkin chocolate chip cookie was delicious and soft. The brown butter crispy rice bar was delicious, the marshmallow was chewy & the rice was still crispy. Our favorite was the cinnamon rolls, the icing was exceptional! There was actual vanilla bean on the frosting and the cinnamon roll was perfectly spiced! Highly recommend Farmette Bakery!”

“Hidden gem in Half Moon Bay! This is small restaurant owned by a family, one of the owners is the cook. The food looks and tastes very good and service is just the best. We had patata, lobster bisque and shrimps and all three were amazing. Totally must go place while visiting!”

I had finished my chore down here helping out the Muff Divers Society install the new Self Guided Flickerstick in the East Pleasuretroleum Chamber, and boy was I licked! Nothing beats a great Italian style chicken dinner, especially when you get it from Joe's! Half Moon Bay Joe's is well worth the trip, and every bit a 5 star joint! ☆☆☆☆☆”

“I have been Jonesin for for a lobster roll. I ordered the lobster and cheese sandwich, thinking it would be a grilled cheese with a dash of lobster. Boy, was I wrong! It has a generous helping of lobster, the right amount of cheese and perfect on sourdough! This went well with a black and tan, along with some delicious cheesy tots! This is a really nice, friendly pub and I will be back!!”

We had the Brussels sprouts, cheese bread, crab bread, crab cakes, boneless rips, clipper plates, Manila clams and tacos. Basically everything from the menu. “I was traveling through California and was pleasantly surprised at the baked goods I purchased here. I got a cheese Focaccia, a jumbo chocolate chip cookie, and a ginger pumpkin cream cheese cookie. Everything was fantastic and the lady running the store was a sweetheart. I also tried my friend's cannoli and it was one of the best cannolis I have ever had, and I adored the unique lighter filling ❤️”

The food was delicious, we ordered the tiradito and guacamole, both were fantastic. We had a 3:30 pm reservation and arrived a bit early, but they graciously seated us right away. The sunset view was absolutely spectacular and breathtaking — perfect weather paired with a talented bagpiper who entertained us as we enjoyed the moment. My husband ordered Maverick's Sundae, and it was honestly the best ice cream I've ever had! Highly recommend!”
