“Run dont walk to this amazing tea room in Half Moon Bay. It took us less than an hour to drive from Dublin. It far exceeded our expectations. I had met Angela, the owner during a recent trip to HMB as she was setting up. We drove over last Saturday to celebrate a birthday. From the minute we walked in, we were taken in by the lovely, homey, cozy, eclectic decor. There were six of us and we were personally welcomed by Angela. We were so overwhelmed by the attention to detail, a special platter for the birthday girl, the fact you can order the sandwiches you like, the tea you like, the fact that they bake during the day to ensure freshness, there is a salad included, fresh fruit, you get a full sandwich, not a little square. You can order extra sandwiches at a minimal fee. Everything is home made. We were delighted with our selections. Their egg salad is the best I have ever tasted and the following day I was craving it!! Angela visited our table quite a few times and told us her story. We all had questions about how she purchased decor items. Since we had the 2:00 seating, we were able to visit a little longer. Not like other places where they literally ask you to leave. We all absolutely RAVED about everything. Very reasonably priced as well. After we left, we all headed down to the beach to watch the sunset!! The perfect end to the perfect day. You WILL not be disappointed!!! It's quite a gem!!”

This is for the Half Moon Bay location. My family and I are locals and have been going here since they opened. I also frequent the Pacifica location. On 09/07/20 at about 1:30 I went in to order for my family. There was a new girl I had not seen before. I speak enough Spanish to get by. Suffice to say that she was deliberately messing with me. One of the cooks came up front, supposedly to help her, and from their banter it was clear they had no interest in helping me and thought it was funny to mess with me. They even discussed charging me for extra meat when I asked for cilantro on a burrito, and laughed about it. I simply walked out. I could speculate as to why they behaved this way, but I am only sharing the facts and what I know. I do know that while I MAY go back, if I see this particular crew, I will walk right out. I have never had this problem before, but this crew thought it would be more fun to mess with me instead of doing their jobs.”

“Watermelon and arugula salad. It was a large portion, and excellent. The dinner was served with bread and butter for the table. The menu looks a little pricey at first, but the portions match. Service was top notch. Extremely scenic surroundings right on the beach, and live piano music.”

“This shop offers exceptionally high quality gelato and waffle cones, both made from scratch onsite. The owner exudes divine pride in his product and service. They don't offer samples because the line would otherwise wrap around the block during peak hours. Instead, they'll immediately swap your entire cup if you aren't totally delighted.”

We postponed twice because of the pandemic and in the course of that time changed our venue to San Benito House. Let me tell you, that was the BEST decision we ever made. Not only is the venue itself incredibly beautiful and the food so delicious, but Kai and his staff bent over backwards for us and all of our guests. Kai is the ultimate hype guy and he took what normally would have been a stressful event to plan, and made it so easy and fun. I would (and will) recommend that anyone who is wanting a Half Moon Bay wedding, that this is the ultimate place to go. Our guests are still talking about the day and if we could, we’d do it 1000 times over just to experience the magic again. Thank you, thank you, thank you! “This is a Coffee House owned and operated by a local resident family. Yes, I’m a past employee from when the Granola’s opened. If you want to buy local or just traveling through HMB this is a great ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ (5 Star) place for a quick snack, meal, read a book or work remotely awhile. I highly recommend the breakfast cookie or a bagel breakfast sandwich! Yes, the pour over coffee is my fav. If you’ve not been here before…. What are you waiting for?”

If you are vegetarian you are fine but if you are vegan is way more complicated as the dishes don't have a clear list of ingredients and the salsas are a mistery, they just bring to the table with no explanation. The allegedly vegan soup have some ghee butter flavor.

“I have been Jonesin for for a lobster roll. I ordered the lobster and cheese sandwich, thinking it would be a grilled cheese with a dash of lobster. Boy, was I wrong! It has a generous helping of lobster, the right amount of cheese and perfect on sourdough! This went well with a black and tan, along with some delicious cheesy tots! This is a really nice, friendly pub and I will be back!!”

We picked up a pumpkin bread that was perfectly spiced and moist — we savored it for the next two days! The kids chose two pastries and couldn’t stop talking about how good they were. A cozy, nostalgic bakery that’s absolutely worth a stop when you’re in downtown Half Moon Bay. Highly recommended!”

“We visited Flying Fish during the Pumpkin Festival weekend. Even with the crowds and hectic parking situation, our party of 10 was seated right away. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better.

We ordered a variety of dishes — calamari, fish and chips, clam chowder (both in a bread bowl and in a regular bowl), and the seafood cioppino. Everything was delicious! My favorites were the fish and chips and the calamari. Portions were great, the food came out fresh, and the flavors were spot on.

Overall, a fantastic spot for seafood in Half Moon Bay. We’ll definitely be back!”
