“Anchored in the bay, all the way from Puget sound and a dinghy ride in for food. Walked around and quickly realized this was the busiest spot in town. Cold beverages outside made the wait alright. “Run dont walk to this amazing tea room in Half Moon Bay. It took us less than an hour to drive from Dublin. It far exceeded our expectations. I had met Angela, the owner during a recent trip to HMB as she was setting up. We drove over last Saturday to celebrate a birthday. From the minute we walked in, we were taken in by the lovely, homey, cozy, eclectic decor. There were six of us and we were personally welcomed by Angela. We were so overwhelmed by the attention to detail, a special platter for the birthday girl, the fact you can order the sandwiches you like, the tea you like, the fact that they bake during the day to ensure freshness, there is a salad included, fresh fruit, you get a full sandwich, not a little square. You can order extra sandwiches at a minimal fee. Everything is home made. We were delighted with our selections. Their egg salad is the best I have ever tasted and the following day I was craving it!! Angela visited our table quite a few times and told us her story. We all had questions about how she purchased decor items. Since we had the 2:00 seating, we were able to visit a little longer. Not like other places where they literally ask you to leave. We all absolutely RAVED about everything. Very reasonably priced as well. After we left, we all headed down to the beach to watch the sunset!! The perfect end to the perfect day. You WILL not be disappointed!!! It's quite a gem!!”

“This is a Coffee House owned and operated by a local resident family. Yes, I’m a past employee from when the Granola’s opened. If you want to buy local or just traveling through HMB this is a great ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ (5 Star) place for a quick snack, meal, read a book or work remotely awhile. I highly recommend the breakfast cookie or a bagel breakfast sandwich! Yes, the pour over coffee is my fav. If you’ve not been here before…. What are you waiting for?”

“Such a gem of a place! Everything here is scrumptious from the ricotta pancakes to the chilaquiles to the French toast to the eggs Benedict! Wish my stomach was bigger so I could eat seconds. Everyone there was so friendly and welcoming. They even welcomed my dog. Love this place!”

This is for the Half Moon Bay location. My family and I are locals and have been going here since they opened. I also frequent the Pacifica location. On 09/07/20 at about 1:30 I went in to order for my family. There was a new girl I had not seen before. I speak enough Spanish to get by. Suffice to say that she was deliberately messing with me. One of the cooks came up front, supposedly to help her, and from their banter it was clear they had no interest in helping me and thought it was funny to mess with me. They even discussed charging me for extra meat when I asked for cilantro on a burrito, and laughed about it. I simply walked out. I could speculate as to why they behaved this way, but I am only sharing the facts and what I know. I do know that while I MAY go back, if I see this particular crew, I will walk right out. I have never had this problem before, but this crew thought it would be more fun to mess with me instead of doing their jobs.”

“This took me far too long to write, but I wanted to find the right words to say. My husband and I had been waiting two long years to get married. We postponed twice because of the pandemic and in the course of that time changed our venue to San Benito House. Let me tell you, that was the BEST decision we ever made. Not only is the venue itself incredibly beautiful and the food so delicious, but Kai and his staff bent over backwards for us and all of our guests. Kai is the ultimate hype guy and he took what normally would have been a stressful event to plan, and made it so easy and fun. I would (and will) recommend that anyone who is wanting a Half Moon Bay wedding, that this is the ultimate place to go. Our guests are still talking about the day and if we could, we’d do it 1000 times over just to experience the magic again. Thank you, thank you, thank you! To Kai and the incredible staff, you are truly THE BEST.”

“Went to Farmette Bakery for the Cinnamon Rolls, the owner was sweet enough to wait for us even though we were arriving past her closing hours. The brown butter pumpkin chocolate chip cookie was delicious and soft. The brown butter crispy rice bar was delicious, the marshmallow was chewy & the rice was still crispy. Our favorite was the cinnamon rolls, the icing was exceptional! There was actual vanilla bean on the frosting and the cinnamon roll was perfectly spiced! Highly recommend Farmette Bakery!”

“I have been Jonesin for for a lobster roll. I ordered the lobster and cheese sandwich, thinking it would be a grilled cheese with a dash of lobster. Boy, was I wrong! It has a generous helping of lobster, the right amount of cheese and perfect on sourdough! This went well with a black and tan, along with some delicious cheesy tots! This is a really nice, friendly pub and I will be back!!”

“We visited Flying Fish during the Pumpkin Festival weekend. Even with the crowds and hectic parking situation, our party of 10 was seated right away. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better.

We ordered a variety of dishes — calamari, fish and chips, clam chowder (both in a bread bowl and in a regular bowl), and the seafood cioppino. Everything was delicious! My favorites were the fish and chips and the calamari. Portions were great, the food came out fresh, and the flavors were spot on.

Overall, a fantastic spot for seafood in Half Moon Bay. We’ll definitely be back!”

“Amazing and wonderful experience. It's 10/10! From the friendly valet to our server who went above and beyond to get us the best table with an incredible view, everything was exceptional. The food was delicious, we ordered the tiradito and guacamole, both were fantastic. We had a 3:30 pm reservation and arrived a bit early, but they graciously seated us right away. The sunset view was absolutely spectacular and breathtaking — perfect weather paired with a talented bagpiper who entertained us as we enjoyed the moment. My husband ordered Maverick's Sundae, and it was honestly the best ice cream I've ever had! Highly recommend!”
