“Great white is an amazing place. I’ve been there for dinner and lunch. The breakfast burrito is my favorite in all of LA but the dinner experience, the atmosphere is very fun it’s the perfect spot for casual family friendly dinner where the food is amazing The burger was delicious and so are the fish tacos. finally, the banana bread for dessert was so tasty.”
“Force of Nature is one of the cutest little places I’ve ever stopped for a drink. From the moment we walked in, it felt warm, inviting, and effortlessly charming.
The rooftop terrace is the perfect mix of laid-back and cozy, making it an ideal spot to unwind after a long, hot day. I especially loved the community table—it added so much character and made the space feel welcoming and connected.
The drinks were fantastic: strong enough to know they were crafted well, but perfectly balanced and incredibly delicious. The wines leaned on the fruitier side, which made them easy to enjoy without being overly sweet.
What really made the experience stand out, though, was the bartender, who also seemed to be the hostess and waitress. She was genuinely kind, welcoming, and made everyone feel at home. She had the kind of personality that makes you wish she’d sit down and have a drink with you.
The entire vibe of Force of Nature is relaxed, friendly, and unpretentious. It’s the kind of place where you intend to stop for one drink and end up staying for hours because you simply don’t want to leave. I can’t wait to come back.”
“I’ve been to Felix multiple times over the years, and in general, I think it’s a fantastic restaurant with consistently high-quality food. That’s why this review is disappointing to write.
The last two pasta dishes I’ve ordered have been underwhelming. My previous visit, the carbonara fell short, and this time the cacio e pepe was even more disappointing.
The cacio e pepe was overwhelmingly peppery, lacked the rich, creamy Pecorino Romano flavor that defines the dish, and tasted like it had little to no cheese. It was nothing like a proper cacio e pepe should be. I had just returned from Italy a few weeks ago, where I ate authentic cacio e pepe at small local trattorias, so I know exactly how beautifully simple and balanced this dish can be. Unfortunately, Felix’s version completely missed the mark. Considering the restaurant’s reputation and premium prices, I expected much more.
To make matters worse, the service at the bar was disappointing. Not once during the meal did anyone ask how the food was or whether everything was okay. A simple check-in could have given us the opportunity to share our concerns while we were there.
I genuinely hope the team takes this feedback constructively because Felix is still a great restaurant overall, and I’ve had many excellent meals here. That’s exactly why these last two visits have been so surprising. I hope they address these issues and bring the pasta back to the standard that made Felix such a standout in the first place.”
“Amazing 🤩 so fantastic. I came for the pupusa was recommended the tuna carpaccio by the table next to us. OMG super delicious. Best meal I have had in a while! Staff was delightful. Highly recommend.”

“I took my husband for Father’s Day brunch/lunch at our favorite Italian restaurant here in the Palisades and as always it did not disappoint. It never does. He loved his steak and eggs, steak was Devine and I loved my chick pea soup. Always have the panne cotta and the cherry gelato and an espresso in their delightful patio and you’ve been to Italy!”

“Brought some friends there to watch playoff football and a ufc fight. Ended up having the best filet mignon of my life. So tender you could slice through it with the side of your fork. Had fresh oysters from Virginia, which I was told are only $2 on Tuesday or Wednesday (have to fact check here). And probably the best thing on the menu is the bacon wrapped plantains, not a lot of food, but every bite is heaven. Wife loved her fancy drinks, but I prefer scotch.”
“We had such a great experience at Coucou! The atmosphere was warm and inviting and the staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We loved everything we ordered, and the Zucchini Beignets were particularly amazing!! You can tell a lot of care goes into both the food and the overall dining experience. I’ll definitely be returning!!”
“Best restaurant I've been to ever that understands and caters to Celiac, but is so good you can actually bring people who are not gluten-free and they would never know they were eating gluten-free. I was in LA for a week and ate there 3 nights. I would have gone more but they're closed on Monday and Tuesdays. The fried zucchini squash blossoms should definitely be ordered and enjoyed❣️ DPK from Plymouth, MA”
“Excellent service great ambience ‘ they also have the amazing tequila card with a variety of tequilas . P”

“It has the rare ability making you feel both out at a restaurant and being invited into someone’s stylish living room for dinner. Records line the shelves, music spins through the space, and every table seems to be having the exact night out they hoped for.
The crispy rice salad starts things off. Each ingredient earns its place with a honey miso dressing that threads it all together. The pizzas are outstanding. They absolutely deserve the spotlight. Thin crust perfection. Crisp edges, restrained cheese, balanced tomato sauce, exactly enough char underneath. Both the classic and pepperoni pies feel disciplined, making it dangerously easy to finish more slices than intended. For the pasta, the rigatoni bolognese brings al dente cooked pasta coated in a layered, rich meat sauce. The ratio of meat to pasta is spot on, making every bite feel substantial without becoming overly dense. Hearty but never excessive. Dessert arrives as a strawberry ricotta cheesecake that somehow feels light. Creamy ricotta filling, fresh strawberries, strawberry sauce. Not too sweet, not too rich.
Companion gets the details right. The room, the music, the pacing, the service, the food. It’s all welcoming and deeply enjoyable.”
“First time here @10am was packed to the brim. Very exciting soccer game. Seated myself into overflow and was happily hosted and waited by Kacey. Easy and delicious drinks and food. I enjoyed The energy and atmosphere. Will be back!”
“We frequented this sandwich shop when we were traveling in Florence and Rome. Pleasantly surprised to see they have a store in Venice and decided to give it a shot. Sandwiches here are not as good as the ones in Italy, but pretty great for what I’d expect here.
Got the l’italiana and the la schiacciata del boss. Both were good in their own way but I’d say the truffle cream in the del boss sandwich is an excellent umami boost.
Sandwich portions here are pretty big and half a sandwich is enough to fill me up!”
“We had a great meal here on the roof top near the bar. The duck rice and duck meatballs were both great as was the Wagyu beef. The crispy chicken thigh was amazing and we also really like the dumplings. Every dish we shared was great and the kitchen did a very good job coursing out the dishes we ordered. We shared everything and there was plenty of food for our party of five. Even the deserts were outstanding. We shared the coffee gelato with cream and the mango fruit to end. The restaurant is very crowded and lively which makes for a fun evening. Very hard to get a reservation but worth the effort.”
“I found this spot on instagram and everything was beyond delicious and the service was amazing! We ordered the wagyu and chicken skewers, potatoes, and tzatziki with bread. Everything was 10/10 including the dessert”

“We were just passing through Los Angeles and decided to celebrate my husband’s birthday at Wallflower on a whim. We had no reservation, but were warmly welcomed and given a lovely table beneath the disco ball, which made the evening feel even more special.
Every dish was delicious. It’s a bit on the pricey side, but the quality, atmosphere, and overall experience made it well worth it.
Thank you for turning a spontaneous stop into one of our favorite memories from LA. We’ll definitely be back.”
“We found this place by of chance needing to use the bathroom whilst walking around Venice and what a great find. Staff are lovely and welcoming and attended to us well. The place was very clean and the food was just right and so tasty. I will be returning when I visit again.”
“We ordered two sandwiches with a side of fries, and everything was honestly so good. The sandwiches tasted super fresh and were made with quality ingredients. I got the tuna sandwich, and it was loaded with crisp veggies and sprouts, which gave it the perfect crunch and made it feel really balanced instead of heavy. The fries deserve their own shoutout they came out hot, crispy on the outside, fluffy inside, and were impossible to stop eating. Portions were generous, service was friendly, and our order came out pretty quickly even though it was busy. 10/10”
“Absolutely brilliant place. Fantastic staff (Katy) who is lovely. Brilliant atmosphere and well worth visiting for a drink when in Venice”
Takeout Restaurants
“I had a great experience at Venice Beach Wines. The shop has a relaxed, welcoming feel that makes it easy to spend time browsing and learning about different wines. The selection is thoughtfully curated, with a mix of well-known bottles and smaller producers that you might not find in larger stores.
The charcuterie plate, the dates and burger are so yummy! 😊
The staff are knowledgeable and friendly without being pushy. They take the time to listen to what you like and recommend something that actually fits your taste and budget. Whether you’re looking for a special bottle or just something good for dinner, it’s a place where you can trust the guidance and discover great wine.”
“This place is a hidden gem in Venice!! Great service and fantastic food. Had to get seconds cus it just was that good!! Best one is the spaghetti with pesto and buratta and also the ravioli spinach in bolognese sauce - pasta is made fresh and sauce is simply amazing. Definitely coming here every time I go to Venice beach!”
“Had a great meal! Forwent ordering potstickers in order to try the enticingly named Gang of 4 ×4 - a delicious decision! The Mao's Hometown was just-right spicy, and I'm sure they put more than $2 extra shrimp on my order. Service friendly and prompt, loved the art. I felt as though I had wandered back into college in the early '70s.”
“10/10 every visit. I’m addicted to the gringo tacos with the habanero sauce. It’s a spiritual experience to see how much I can handle. The people are great. It’s a low key and clean environment. And you may expect some more riff raff coming directly off Lincoln, but you wouldn’t know just hanging out in the back. Plus they have a great little parking lot.”
“Dinner ,breakfast coffee, staff were so friendly and welcoming”

“Beef, chicken, and shrimp. ALL AMAZING. Made on the spot. Right by the beach. Master gave me 3 options of hot sauce - I was able to endure the pain of the spiciest one which wasn’t too bad. I’m drooling all over my couch thinking of these tacos. Highly recommended and I’m definitely coming back next time I’m in LA. Gracias.!!!”
“Absolutely outstanding - the best burrito I’ve ever had!
The burritos are incredible value at just $10 USD, and the portion size is enormous. One burrito is easily enough to feed two people.
What truly made this place special, though, was the service. The owner and staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. Their hospitality was unmatched.
A huge thank you - I can’t recommend this place highly enough! Come to Australia next 🇦🇺”
“the empanadas are exquisite. you have to try them to understand. this some homemade Argentina style 😋 deliciousness. Rico is a show to say the least. I will definitely stop by just to grab some more empanadas. my highlight of the boardwalk. like Rico says they're 🔥 fire.”
“I recently ordered catering from Lokal Venice and it was such a great experience. The place itself is super cute, the interior is really well put together and just beautiful to look at.
This was my first time ordering catering from them, and it was a total success. Everything was delivered right on time, and the presentation was amazing. I ordered burritos and asked them to cut them in half, which made everything look extra neat and organized, perfect for a group setting.
I had quite a few dietary restrictions to accommodate since this was for a Teacher Appreciation Day at a school (vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, egg allergies, dairy-free) and they handled everything so well. The communication was easy, they responded quickly to emails, and made the whole process stress-free.
On top of all that, they even let me take their insulated bags to make it easier to transport everything, they just asked me to return them later. I thought that was such a thoughtful and helpful touch.
I 1000% recommend them, and I’ll definitely be ordering from them again for my next catering!”
“Saw this lonchería as I was driving by and I’m glad I decided to stop. The food is very reasonably priced. I spent less than $12 for a full meal. The taste of the food is very authentic Mexican food, with the beans being “de la olla.” I really like that they provide you with condiments, like salsa, lemon, chiles, and cucumber. If you are nearby, give this place a shot, I don’t think you’ll regret it.”
“My wife and I come regularly, we love their assortment of juices and meals! Their staff always goes above and beyond to make sure every customer has a great experience. Whitney in particular has helped us multiple times making sure we get what we need and answers all of our questions! She’s always a joy to work with and an asset to this location!”

“🥙☕️💜I am an avid taco lover. We had never been to this adorable Taco Restaurant in Venice Beach before.
The first thing I noticed was how clean it was.
I was now anxious to have my fave food in life - beef tacos! THEY WERE out of this world.
Our entire family enjoyed the food & a quaint ambience. The Coffee is excellent as well.
I give this “Young Kid Shop”’ 5 stars! Because, if it is not on the Menu, I would bet my life Miss NADIA would not only make it, it would be absolutely delicious!
It is the cutest little beach taco shop on the boardwalk in Venice Beach. Check it out.
💟🥙🏖️”
“The staff was friendly today, July 6th. They put lots of powdered sugar on my fried Oreo. Priced at $8.75 for three fried Oreos. They charge $0.79 for each credit card transaction. Wide selection of additional offerings make this place a great family friendly stop for a quick bite. My order was ready within three minutes!”

“Had an outstanding night watching Chuck Prophet and the Mission Express at the Venice West. Venice West is an intimate venue with a perfect layout for live performances. Dinner was enjoyable and the staff was helpful and friendly. Now for the main event... Chuck Prophet and the Mission Express put on a heck of show. The band was tight and rocked the house. Every song was a hit and our group was blown away. Thanks for making great music! Looking forward to returning again for another memorable evening of great music and food.”

“I love this place. I just visiting La and I’ve been here twice, and both visits were great.
The lavender latte and strawberry matcha are unforgettable. And my big recommendation is a mushroom and salmon pancakes! They are fantastic. Mushroom ones my favorite❤
There’s also a cozy creative space near where you can walk around and look at a garden design workshop — really adds to the vibe. 100 from 10!❤”
“By LA taco standards, I didn't find this place special at all.
So weird that there are no cheese options for the tacos. Would be a game-changer if you could have melted cheese like Tacos Los Cholos.
Quesadilla con Chorizo looks better than it tastes.
Taco sampler platter, the chicken ones are the best.
The Jamaica agua fresca is incredible and my favorite thing here.
Playing really good reggaeton music (e.g., Peso Pluma).”
“My boyfriend and I were visiting Venice beach for the first time and we were looking for something filling and fresh. We first walked by this little shop and it was a little hard to find due to the store being inside the Gingerbread court but it was well worth it!! We were going to get 2 spicy bowls but the owner recommended we do the lomo bowl and the spicy tuna bowl. GREAT recommendation!! We will be going back when we visit again. Great food, great service and a beautiful spot to eat peacefully. Definitely recommend! (No pictures of the food we ate it super fast)”
“I took the risk yesterday and went to pop-up BBQ joint APL. They were working out of a restaurant in Marina Del Rey, so I thought reluctantly to give them a shot. I knew they were expensive and likely not the “traditional” BBQ quality that I grew up with in L.A. I’d seen on social media that APL Barbecue almost always sold out, so I arrived 2 hours early. No one was in sight. I thought I’d gone to the wrong location. I looked around and saw 5 large pallets of fire wood stacked up in the rear of the building. Had to be for the smokers I thought. This must be the right place. I was just super early. About 30 minutes later I noticed 4 pillars of smoke coming up from behind the hedges in the patio area. I failed to look there before and walked over to find 4 large BBQ smokers at work. They were being attended by an African American gentleman. He seemed to know what he was doing. I started feeling a bit better on the potential quality of APL’s BBQ upon seeing this brutha handling the cooking. This was my opportunity to maybe find out the truth about APL’s suitability to my discerning taste buds. I walked over to him and said, “Bruh, lemme holla at you a minute. I’m new to APL and want to get your read on the BBQ. You know that there’s a difference between what some people call good BBQ, and what you or me might consider good Q.” He gave me a wry smile and a knowing nod. I knew he understood what I was cryptically saying. He asked about my regional knowledge of BBQ, from which I explained my preferences for North Carolina, and Texas styles of Q. He said it was more like Texan BBQ, which happens to be my favorite. He said that APL was the “real deal”. I was feeling good and hungry now. They opened the doors at 12:30 pm. A kid started passing out cornbread samples. I happily took one. I’m as critical of the sides as I am with my Q. Cornbread is rarely great and mostly just ok of from most BBQ joints. I took a bite. It was moist and very good with a honey taste but not too sweet. Kind of a cornbread-cake combo. Another very good sign! When I got to the front of the order line, the Bruh offered me a sample of the pork ribs. I took a bite. It was spot on. Had a nice light tug but was very tender and easy to pull off the bone. I couldn’t ID the flavor profile, but liked it a lot. I ended up buying 1 beef rib bone, 1 rack of pork ribs, and some cornbread for a total cost of $150. More than enough for 2 people for a couple of days or so. The beef rib was the best I’d ever had. Tasted more like a very good brisket. The pickle relish was outstanding. I wish I could buy it in a store or better yet get the recipe. Needless to say as a BBQ skeptic and traditionalist, that APL is real and highly recommended even with their high prices. I’m told they will be back in MDR at the same spot next weekend. It’s located Washington Bl. & Abbot Kinney. Go on Sunday when they will also sell smoked cowboy ribeye steaks. I’m told the rack of lamb is also outstanding. Before I walked away with my heavy bag of Q, I saw the the brutha I’d spoken to earlier chopping up some meat. It was loud and crowded in the restaurant. I spoke loudly in a manner I knew would get his attention and said, “Bruh! You were right. Thanks!” He smiled and responded back with the “brutha nod”.”
“I am an LA native, and the coffee scene in the city has ebbed and flowed (no pun intended). Suffice it to say Flō is an exceptional spot. The quality of the espresso shot is never burnt, and the care and attention that is given to each drink is ritualistic. It’s a small team, close quarters, and it creates a convivial atmosphere within the community. For this and many other reasons I highly recommend patronizing Flō - you will not be disappointed.”
“the BEST bakery in our venice beach neighborhood. the rolls are simply fantastic. everytime we visit we are treated like family by the staff.
you must try the dark chocolate peanut butter cookie!!
they’re extremely busy all the time, so highly recommend visiting earlier in the day to snag a walnut berry roll! don’t let the line discourage you, it moves quick
very proud of Levain being a big supporter of Venice Run Club 🏃💨”
“Visiting from Australia and had this upon a recommendation from our Air BnB host. Main Chick blew us away - awesome food couldn’t fault it at all. Fried chicken will never taste the same again back home as Main Chick has raised the standard. We couldn’t even checkout at the terminal as we didn’t have a US mobile number and the lovely lady behind the counter entered her own number for us and brought the food over as soon as it was done.”
“Absolutely delicious food. Chulita Bowl was fantastic, hibiscus mimosa and latte were so good. Friendly staff too! Thanks for the wonderful brunch. 🙏🧜🏽♀️”
