“Absolutely loved this place. We ate at the bar and the bartender was amazing. He was friendly, helpful and made sure we ordered exactly the right amount of food. His cocktails were perfect, like a wizard dishing out magic (I had a second cocktail which I rarely do ☺️). The food was equally good. The home made tofu melted in your mouth. The tuna, uni appetizer was delicate with a dash of wasabi. The heirloom tomato salad was fresh, succulent, and delicious. ? The jidori chicken was so flavorful. Overall it was a perfect meal. Thank you”

“The signature dish is the crab in sauce, which comes in medium and large sizes. medium is two crabs with two bowls of rice, and large is three crabs. Compared with other Korean restaurants, the sauce crab taste is mild, and it will not be salty enough to explode in the middle of the meal and cannot continue to eat. The crab is fresh, not fishy, and the meat is firm, not squishy. The crab meat is also very full, the crab legs are full, there is no empty shell crab. The sea urchin rice is a little smaller but the sea urchin is enough. regular sea urchins are not particularly sweet, but they are fresh and worth the price. The sea urchin Rice bowl combo will be served with steamed eggs, runny eggs and two prawns in sauce. Raw marinated salmon rice is amazing to me. The salmon is marinated just enough to be flavorful, but not overly salty. The portions are generous. You can eat two bites of each piece of salmon.”

“Teleferic is a favorite and has never disappointed. Most recently, our crispy paella had octopus, huge shrimp, and the most generous portion of lobster. The dish was absolutely wonderful, as was our appetizer of artichokes with pistachio foam. There was plenty of staff - we saw staff constantly circulating so I have no idea what happened. Also, eating there is an experience because you never know who’s gonna be eating there or just the random walking in the eating area, yelling “whaaaaaaaa!” And then just walking out as easily as that. Love this place.”

The service was careful and attentive and the food is flavorful. For the price point I hesitate to recommend the chicken, and our pizza was a litttttle burnt but again the flavors are great. “Angelini Osteria totally lived up to the hype! We had a great dinner there that night and I can't wait to go back again soon. Let's start with the star of this show: uni pasta. Oh my gosh, it was divine! The uni was so fresh and creamy and the pasta itself was cooked just right. Every bite was an explosion of flavor. We also tried the baked lasagna and it was delightful. The layers were perfectly balanced and each bite was full of rich, savory flavors. Let's not forget dessert! We shared a few different things and they were all great. The tiramisu was fluffy and decadent and the chocolate mousse was rich and smooth. Overall, Angelini Osteria is definitely a must-try for Italian food lovers in Los Angeles. The food is incredible, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. We can't wait to come back and try more dishes on the menu!”

Denae’s Diner The Delphi Downtown LA, 550 Flower St, Los Angeles Diner • $$

“This place is awesome. Walk into the Delphi hotel lobby and through to your left, you’ll find this somewhat hidden gem.

I walked in and it took me less than 30 seconds to get seated by a friendly server. He let me have the pick of the place, as it was less busy as it was a Monday evening.

When you sit, you feel as though you’re in an elevated diner. There are large glass windows looking out to the courtyard if you’re up for a private, yet outdoorsy setting.

I chose to be a hermit inside though haha. I ordered the Delphi Double Smash burger and was so happy I did. In n Out ain’t got nothin on this place! It’s a similar smash burger idea, just executed better. The caramelized onions are a perfect touch as well. I ordered mine with tater tots which were cooked to a perfectly delicious brown crisp. I was also served a pickle spear. When I tasted it, I know it wasn’t just your run of the mill pickle. My server confirmed my suspicion and I was right! They make their own pickles in house!

The bartender let me taste a drink they were straw testing and I couldn’t believe how good it was! Who knew two ingredients could complement each other so well! I’m not giving away his secret, but if you’d like what I’m talking about, just ask him for his “Summer Crack” drink! Haha. I loved it!

It’s always strange traveling alone and eating in a restaurant by yourself. These guys made me feel right at home and I really appreciated it.

Bottom line, if you’re looking for elevated diner fare, look no further. If you’re looking for super friendly and attentive service, go nowhere else. If you’re looking for a pretty cool playlist that is at the perfect volume to still hear it but not drown out conversation, you found it!

When traveling, I try not to repeat the restaurants I visit, but it may not be possible for me this time around. I kind of want to come back here for breakfast tomorrow, but we’ll see!

10/10 recommend.”

“Totally worth the 70 minute drive. Delicious food and great Taiwanese hospitality. Friendly, attentive staff and wonderful atmosphere. Minced Pork (Lu-Rou) Rice, fully loaded delicious stewed pork with egg. Meats are juicy and tender, kinda on the sweet side. Clamshell bun (Gua Bao) comes with tender thick cut pork, a bit on the salty side, but very well cooked. Fatty but not greasy. Thousand layer pancake with egg and basil was crispy and flaky. The basil flavor is a wonderful addition. Scallion bread sandwich was what we expected. Same tender thick cut pork, very happy to eat this. Next time I will probably get the beef, too much pork belly today Wonton soup is very classic, if you like shrimp wontons, you have to try this. We ended the meal with Hakka mochi and Oolong tea, the mochi tasted just like the ones in Taiwan. The tea was fragrant and is just the perfect compliment to the mochi. Overall an amazing meal with warm and friendly people, highly recommend!”

This is about my 3rd time coming, and today makes the first time I came back since (renovations last year) and I was excited to see they added Mac and cheese to the menu. I ordered 2 ribs tip dinners which the wait time was under 10 minutes. YES MY FOOD WAS HOT AF! And the rib tips were just as I remembered them to be tender, flavorful and juicy. The sides portion size alone is bigger than there competitors. They definitely are worth the visit. The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the Mac and cheese. I was not a fan of the Mac ? and I wanted to like it so bad . The bake beans are fire. The Mac and cheese did not ruin it for me. I will definitely be back again.”

“Great Korean BBQ & Attentive ServiceThis is a fantastic spot for authentic Korean BBQ in K-Town. I would rate this place a 4.5, but I'm giving it 5 stars to be generous. While it's not all-you-can-eat (which I actually prefer for a more focused dining experience), the quality of the food is top-notch. Their set menus come with a variety of delicious sides, including cheese corn and spicy noodles to finish. No more lunch box on the menu, but some of the best kimchi fried rice in K-Town—a must-try side dish. The restaurant is almost always buzzing, but the service is excellent. The staff is attentive and will even cook your food at the table for you if you'd like. The atmosphere is lively with good music and a fun crowd. It's conveniently located in Chapman Plaza, which offers a few other bars and restaurants, and is close to many other options on 6th Street.I noticed some reviews mentioning changes since COVID. While there have been some adjustments, the overall experience is still fantastic.Overall: this place is a must-try for anyone looking for delicious Korean BBQ with a fun vibe and great service.

Parking: The small lots in Chapman Plaza fill up quickly. There's a much more convenient option: the parking garage across S. Kenmore next to Woo Hyang Woo Korean BBQ (545 S Kenmore Ave, K 3 Parking). It's a flat $20 and stays open until 1 AM.”

“This is a gem! I’m a big fan of Omakase sushi and this place did not disappoint. I highly recommend sitting at the bar. Service was impeccable, friendly, and always ready. Attention to detail was superb! I didn’t take any photos because they asked me to silence my phones (you can still take photos), but I wanted to be respectful and also focus on my taste buds and not my phone. Admittedly this place doesn’t look much from the outside (Weller Court could use some updates), but don’t be afraid to step inside. One suggestion for them is to have a sake pairing option as I am a sake lover. I did get their cold sake that ended up tasting wonderful, so I’m not complaining. As for price, I think it’s reasonable for an Omakase place like this. You’re really paying for the experience. Without drinks, I think it’s around $200 for a full course meal and tax/tip. Otomisan Restaurant 2506 1/2, 1st St, Los Angeles Japanese • $$

“First the atmosphere: it's a cute, well put together little Japanese restaurant. Walls line with art and photos. You can read the history of the place as you eat. Dining tables and a bar to sit and enjoy a meal.Second, the food: impeccable food displayed on nice plates. Large chunks of fish in the sushi rolls. Spicy tuna and salmon roll had a smooth texture and world-class taste. I did not use soy sauce or because the fish was amazing by itself. This alone will bring me back. I ordered a combo with beef teriyaki and pork cutlet. The pork cutlet was succulent. Pick it up with chopsticks and marvel at the juiced flow. The crust had standalone flavor that I might use as a topping by itself if that were an option. The beef was cooked to perfection. The yeriyaki sauce had a unique taste to it. Came with soup and salad. Miso is a simple dish that this establishment has perfected. The salad was a standard side salad with ginger dressing. Great way to cleanse the palatte. Tempura was also served, and it was again a world-class dish. Fresh tasting veggies and two healthy shrimp.Lastly, the service:the older woman who was there was a gem, and this review is not about her. This review is about the young, inexperienced waitress. I don't think she has enough experience to be serving folks, so this may not be the best place for her to learn. This establishment is the longest running japanese restaurant in Los Angeles. That comes with a heavy burden. The young waitress was not warm or inviting. These two traits are set in stone within japanese culture. As the older woman tried coaching the younger, she younger woman gave dirty looks and rolled her eyes. She seemed uninterested and worse than that, unwilling to learn from her elder. I will be back at some point and hope to see how her journey is going.Overall, you will be satisfied here. Please come one and all to a modern marvel of japanese cuisine in the greater Los Angeles area.”

“OMG!! we came here before the Angus and Julia Stone concert (around the corner from the Orpheum Theatre) the last Saturday in June and what a cozy little joint this place is! We sat at the bar

Service was spot on, my wine was delicious (a Chenin Blanc) and the Bolognese Pappardelle was mouthwateringly good! The wine list consist of natural wines. Such a chill vibe in here but we were early in our reservations so keeping that in mind I'd say it might get busier the later the hour. Also be aware they do NOT take cash for payment of your meal. They do, of course for tips just not for the meal.

Not a lot of room in here so don't come with the thought of a romantic dinner for two where you can whisper sweet-nothings to one another without someone else overhearing hahaha.

Parking lot was well lit behind the building, it is shared with the Theater.

Respectfully Reviewed.”

“So it seems this place is seasonal in terms of food so I am unsure what’s something that stays on the menu. I got the turkey meatloaf, fries and deviled eggs. My friend got the loaded baked potato gnocchi (not pictured) and the broccolini. I will say I heard this place was really good so maybe this just wasn’t the best season to go, but the food was good but not overall memorable. Meatloaf was tender and moist and I enjoyed the tangy sauce but it wasn’t a wow factor to it. I would say the star was surprisingly the broccolini. It was amazingly flavorful. I really enjoyed it. The deviled eggs were really good too. Nice little kick to them. The gnocchi, though cooked well, didn’t really evoke a loaded baked potato. I would have been good to have some sort or acid or something with it, as it’s really rich as well. Overall it was good! Not great but solid. I am unsure if I would return unless I saw maybe something different on the menu I’d want to try. I’ll def keep track of their menu to see. A nice date night spot because the restaurant was very cute.”

“The store opens at 11 AM on Saturdays, and by that time, there were already plenty of people waiting outside. The value for money is outstanding, and the food tastes just like home-cooked meals. We ordered four dishes and three servings of rice for under $30. The entire process is fast, convenient, and eco-friendly. If you're not in the mood to cook but still want delicious Chinese food, this is the perfect place to go. Highly recommended!”

Leopardo 460 S La Brea Ave, Los Angeles Pizza • $$$

“Great new restaurant with a really unique menu of dishes! The restaurant has a cool value that is relatively casual, but the food was truly top-notch quality. In particular, we absolutely loved:
- Caprese salad
- Deer tartare
- Hello Satan pizza
- Boar meatballs
- frozen soft cream (dessert)

The servers were also extremely kind and helpful. Overall an excellent experience - excited to go back!!”

Torisoba Tonsho 349 N La Cienega Blvd, Los Angeles Ramen • $

“That’s fantastic place. It’s very modern types of ramen which is a bit different with other any ramen shops in LA.
It’s greater depth of chicken flavor with truffle oil.
If you want to eat the authentic ramen like what we can eat in Japan, you must try.”

N17 The Lane 12821 Washington Blvd #103, Los Angeles Gastropubs • $$

“Found this place from some searching on google maps and it exceeded expectations! Great drinks (we got a marg and a beer and tried the cider—which was great), best food that you’ll have at a sports bar (sports bar/gastro pub combo that’s family owned and operated) and amazing ambience. The TVs all around made for easy viewing at any seat and blended nicely into the beautiful interior. Hospitality also hit the spot with the genuine, friendly owners! Plus, make no mistake, this place isn’t just for dedicated soccer fans, they show NFL, baseball, some fights, etc. ?”

“Bungraze, nestled in Japanese Village within Little Tokyo, Los Angeles, offers a memorable experience for burger enthusiasts. I had the OMG Burger, a towering creation with two char-grilled 100% grass-fed beef patties, layered with BunGrazer Spread, PepperJack Cheese, fresh lettuce, tomato, pickles, and jalapeño slices. The addition of caramelized and diced onions, roasted garlic, mushrooms, and garlic aioli, all topped with crispy onion rings, made this burger an explosion of flavors. Each bite delivered a burst of freshness, with the high-quality beef standing out as a true star. The flatbread, made from scratch, provided a unique and delicious twist to the traditional bun.

Complementing the burger, the fries were crispy and well-seasoned, a perfect side to this hearty meal.

Bungraze offers a laid-back ambiance with both outdoor and indoor seating options. The barstool area with a counter adds to the casual dining vibe. Ordering is done through a kiosk, allowing for easy customization of your burger. Though the menu is concise, it’s packed with diverse and satisfying options. This spot is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy a high-quality, flavorful burger in a relaxed setting.”

“The renowned camel matcha latte only comes in about a tiny 8oz cup It’s delicious but I don’t think I’ll pay $6.25 again for that.

The coffee shop is cute. Definitely more of a “to-go” vibe or “hangout” vibe as there aren’t too many available comfortable seating for working on a laptop.”

BBQ all you can eat 3063 W 8th St, Los Angeles Korean Barbecue • $$

“First come first serve! I love this place bc they have a set price of $21.95+ tax. The MOST AFFORDABLE KBBQ and as a college student, i love this! Only thing u have to pay for is steamed egg which is $1.99 or drinks. Water is free. I had the iced tea and thai tea to go and both were really good. Meat is good quality- I don’t like the intestines or premium brisket bc they were very chewy. I highly recommend the pork belly and beef belly, they were soooo good and easy to eat. Also a bit fatty LOL. Anyways COME HERE!!!

I loveeee the servers, the hispanic servers are especially cheerful and funny! Even tho we have a language barrier, they are always so fun.”

“Beautiful restaurant and design. It’s spotless and very pleasing to the eye!

Now for the food… The ramen is just your average ramen, you can get it anywhere. The chicken rice bowl lack luster. Dry chicken with an off-putting mild sweet taste. Had to just dump my rice bowl into the left over ramen soup. The chicken bun was exactly the same, dry but soggy?

Wouldn’t eat here again but appreciate the beautiful art and atmosphere.”

“I’ve become a regular… I love the atmosphere, the quality of the food, and the welcoming service… I love dipping the bread in the clam jus, steak frites is comforting and the rice dish is on point. Good wine to accompany it all under the stars or indoors, with great music in the background. You easily forget where you were before you entered the nicely curated space.”
