We both had the Bento Teriyaki steak box and it was out of this world, super fresh vegetables the teriyaki was light and not over sweet but the item the blew our minds was the tender and savory filet mignon. “The Huevos Rancheros and Chile Relleno were some of the best we’ve ever eaten! We enjoy traveling New Mexico for the unique style of flavors of Mexican food only found in this state! The red and green sauces were the authentic deep flavors and the salsa is zappy but flavorful. Our waitress, Leslie encouraged us to try the Calabacitas and tasty whole Borracho Beans? Both were beyond any we’ve eaten previously. Leslie gave us excellent service and was very friendly. The ambience is dated authentic adobe with bright colors and mural paintings. We highly recommend La Nuevo Casita Cafe!”

Although, I didn’t like the green one as I’m not a big fan of tomatillos but the “avocado” salsa (not sure if it’s made with avocado or not) was wonderful. I ordered 2 asada, 1 barbacoa and 1 tripitas tacos. I like that you can order a variety of tacos in the order. My husband loved his tripitas tacos too and he said the limonada was excellent. Service was excellent and our server was very polite. We really hope this local restaurant keeps going because it can potentially become one of our favorites. I want to go back to try the lengua tacos since they were all out today. Highly recommend it!!!! 👍🏽”

I’ve never heard of a restaurant charging you $1 for a side of flour tortillas The dining area lights were a little harsh. Also, if you pay with a credit card you get charged a little bit more. I know I’m splitting hairs here. I would give it an 8.5.”

The Hatch green chile added the perfect New Mexico kick and blended beautifully with the sauce. The homemade meatballs were just as impressive—tender, flavorful, and clearly made from scratch. You can taste the care and quality in every bite. On top of the incredible food, the service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. True homemade Italian food with a local twist. This place is a must-try, and I’ll definitely be back.”

“Picacho Coffee Roasters is one of those spots that immediately feels thoughtful and well put together without trying too hard.

The space is huge—couches, communal tables, and plenty of room to settle in whether you’re working, meeting up, or just hanging out. It genuinely functions as a co-working space, which is rare to see executed this well in a coffee shop. There’s a lot happening here in the best way: they sell records, infused coffee beans, merch, and even fresh sourdough loaves, giving the place a curated, community-driven vibe.

The music sealed the deal—hip-hop with strong Common / A Tribe Called Quest energy—setting a relaxed, soulful tone that makes you want to stay awhile.

Coffee-wise, I ordered the matcha with oat milk and it was smooth, balanced, and not overly sweet. Quality clearly matters here. Service was another standout: warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly without feeling forced.

They also have a bakery case with assorted items (note for fellow vegans: bakery items are not vegan), though the drink options themselves are still accommodating.

Overall, Picacho Coffee Roasters is a great spot for quality coffee, good music, and a space that actually invites you to linger. I’ll definitely be back.”

She knew that menu completely; she could tell us every little detail. My husband had the branzino. He did not want it blackened and Shannon made sure it wasn’t. The risotto was the perfect texture. The only real bagels in the region - they make them in house the right way / boiling and all. No one in the area (El Paso included) actually follows a real bagel recipe. Their pastries are great too. “Empty at around noon. Around 5 customers at most when I went. Clean diner area. Friendly staff. I got the buffalo chicken burger with the Arby's sauce still tastes the same as it did 10 years ago which is amazing. I love their signature sauce that I couldn't find anywhere else. The price was okay I spent around $12 for the large meal with the curly fries. Ranch dressing is free. I got my order in about 5 minutes.”

“Best to look at the menu before you arrive at the restaurant. When you enter, you order at the counter and then find a seat. Complimentary chips and salsa were delicious. I ordered the beef fajita plate and my husband ordered the brisket burrito smothered in red. It took our order 35 minutes to come out. We were in a larger party and people who arrived after us recieved their food so much quicker than us and when my husband went up to ask about it, they said the fajitas take longer. We finally got our food and I was disappointed. Not that much meat and barely any onions and no bell peppers, they use strips of green chile to mimic bell peppers. Beans were good. No rice. Lettuce and guacamole piled on one side of the plate. No tortilla. My husband said his brisket burrito was interesting because the meat was marinated in the BBQ sauce, but then put into a burrito with red chile smothered. Ground beef taco was good. Maybe we will go back and try different things on the menu. Prices were very affordable.”

They felt bad and made it up to him by giving him the full waffle at no extra charge! It is not easy working on Thanksgiving and we appreciate the kind thought by giving him the extra half.”

I had a drink that was just refilled and I figured that I would ask for a to go cup vs leaving it to be thrown out. When I asked for the to go cup, she said the only to go cups that they had were for those take out meals and that if I wanted a to go cup for my drink, it was going to be $4.00. Needless to say, I didn’t take it and left a full drink on the table when we left. I have never, been to a restaurant where they charge me for a to go cup. Not happy with that portion of the service!”

“When we first moved to Cruces (a decade ago), we stopped in at another Si Senor location and let's just say, we haven't eaten at Si Senor since. However, when our favorite Mexican delivery restaurant was closed today, we decided that after a decade, we would give it a go...and we're happy we did!
We ordered a couple Chile Relleno burritos and they're HUGE! We opted to share one and save the other to share for breakfast (with green sauce, an egg and frijoles of course!). We couldn't finish them. They were so good! We could have done with a thinner layer of batter, but nonetheless, DELISH!
We weren't aware that chips and salsa came with our food and ordered more, again, happy that we did because each bag came with 4 different salsas to enjoy.
BTW..delivery was exceptionally fast with DoorDash. Food was still hot upon arrival!
This was a delicious Saturday afternoon delight! Would definitely order again!”

Despite being a major focus on the menu, they were served only with generic pancake syrup rather than real maple syrup, which would have made a big difference.
