“From our nine year old: Amazing service and great mocktails! We went during the make your own Gimbap and it was absolutely amazing!!”
“Beat pizza in Oregon?? Quite possibly!! As far as pizza this is really world class and as good as it gets. These are the people you want making your food, super passionate and friendly. The ingredients are top notch the food has a freshness and it’s perfectly executed. There are many great pizza options in Portland, this deserves your attention. It might not have the “buzz” as a few others do but make no mistake this is at the pinnacle of pizza. Bravo! What an accomplishment…”
“This is one of the most delicious places I’ve ever been to!!”
“It was delicious!!! Rabbit, foie gras, pigs feet, escargot, halibut, eel, scallops, all the fancy sauces….SOOO good!! Every bite was just perfectly executed. The staff was so friendly and engaging which made it really fun to sit at the chef’s counter!”

“I managed to get a seat at the bar for an early dinner because I hadn't made reservations. Service was friendly and the food was excellent. The short rib arancini could be a meal in and of itself. Their house-made pasta was perfectly al dente and the sauce with prawns was amazing! I was actually spooning up the excess sauce and eating it like a soup because I hadn't gotten bread to sop it up. The Stappi Sunrise cocktail with house-made limoncello was also fantastic! I very much look forward to coming back for future meals.”
“The food is simply amazing! They made vegetarian things for me that my husband the carnivore loved too. Absolutely impeccable sourcing and totally creative flavors while still being ‘Mexican Food' I can't wait to go back”
“The tasting menu once again blew us away! Visually gorgeous, thoughtful, local, seasonal, delicious, creative food, desserts and cocktails, taboot! Always a memorable meal that we'll talk about until our next visit to Lilia.”

“Great little neighborhood bar - friendly staff remembers your face, food is damn good for a bar, and prices are reasonable. Breakfast all day, specialty burgers impressed me, and it’s nice and cool inside with a shaded patio in back. My neighborhood spot is a gem!”
“My son and I ate dinner here on Tuesday evening, 10-01-24. The male waiter was unimpressive, and asked the young lady behind the bar to take us. I was freshly out of surgery and needed to eat something. She quickly moved us to a padded booth when I asked. She was very prompt and very courteous. An absolute sweetheart. She was professional with our orders and accommodating to our particular requests, mine especially, given the circumstances. The food was absolutely amazing. I had the rosemary chicken and a bland salad with cucumbers. The salad tasted fresh. The chicken was perfect. I would give 5 stars, but some of the other patrons seemed judgmental, and I was displeased with the young man who seemed offended by the couple of rural folks in the big city.”
“This is a lively ethnic restaurant in the Goat Blocks. On a Tuesday, normally a quiet evening, every table was filled. Interesting cocktails and shared plates. We especially liked the rabbit in a pot, the breads and dumplings.”
“Excellent food and service! A fun pre-Timbers match vibe and the place was hopping!”

“From our nine year old: Amazing service and great mocktails! We went during the make your own Gimbap and it was absolutely amazing!!”
“My first thought is I’m glad I don’t live in Portland. Great ice cream, wonderful flavors. Stagg is friendly and helpful. I had sea salt with ribbons of caramel. Subtle and flavorful- not too sweet AND flecked mint chocolate chip.”

“I've had a half dozen bartenders here make a (off menu) Penicillin. Reliably good. I'd trust a new-to-me bartender here with anything more than somewhere that has it on the menu.”
“all I can think saying is it’s delicious every spoonful come out and have some …delicious I promise”

“This neighborhood pub has a great selection of beers. My favorites are the First Chair English pub ale and Weasels & Lies double IPA. They have great food, but the menu is a bit limited. Dog friendly and laid back vibe.”
“Absolutely a gem worth trying! The sourdough was incredible, very chewy and perfectly fired. Had the garlic, arugula and prosciutto pizza, and it was delicious. The ambiance of the inside and patio area is very homey and welcoming with very eclectic design and flow. The service was also very good, the hostess was very sweet and the ordering process was easy with being to order at the table through a QR Code or at the cash register.”
“I made a reservation for my birthday prior to their "Top 50 Restaurants in the U.S.," courtesy of the NYT, and I'm glad I did - reservations fill up quick. The food was great, but what really blew me away was their ability to be flexible. My husband was coming home on an international flight and his flight delay put us missing our reservation by 30 minutes and I got into contact with them the second that I knew (sorry for the 6:00 am text ?). Granted, it could have been a coincidence that day (it was a Friday and maybe there weren't too many people clamoring for a spot), but they were able to work with me and allow us to come to our table for a 1.5 hour service instead of a 2. That alone would make me come back, the food really was a plus at that point ? there are also nonalcoholic drink options that I really appreciated as I no longer drink. But yes, come for the food and stay for the service! Excited to try more of their menu next time.”
“Absolutely hands down the best Indian restaurant I've been to. I've tried many different types of curry from different places and this place by far has the best one! Also recommend the chicken tikka massala. Honestly, my favorite dish they have. Everyone should definitely try out this place for authentic Indian cuisine.”
“I recommend this restaurant, I'm coming from Seattle WA with my family and we went to eat there, very good food, good customer service, everything clean. I invite you to visit them, you will love it.”

“This is one of the most delicious places I’ve ever been to!!”
“Came for dinner / happy hour. The Friday night fish fry here is delightful. Very crispy tasty fish, and the sauce paired with it is perfect. The oysters were divine, super fresh. The drinks were good. Fries weren’t very crisp and maybe could have been cooked a bit more. Good flavor though. The staff here were so nice and attentive, quick service, and I like the clean vibe of the restaurant.”
“High energy and volume. Great service. Family style small plates staggered out makes for a more enjoyable and slow paced meal.”
“Really delicious, and so happy to have a Japanese sandwich cart in Portland. I loved the Pork katsu!”
“I make it a point to visit Canard Burnside on all of my trips to Portland! The unique flavors and presentations on their menu keep me coming back for more. Had the roasted beets last night for the first time and the flavor was out of this world.”
“Went here for dinner, I had the curry and chicken appetizer. It was so YUMMY! My husband had the steak plate. It was all so good. Wish the curry wasn't vegetarian! Food tasted very fresh and authentic.”
“I went to this place for me and my partners anniversary. I have never been and neither had he. The experience was top notch! I came in and the waiter said he was going to change my life and he did just that. I also had a gift card that had a generous balance and I was so impressed with the service and food that I was embarrassed to use it so I paid out of my own pocket. Best tapas in Portland hands down! My partner usually is the one who picks places because I’m bad at it and he was also incredibly impressed with me and my choice to try Urdaneta!”
“Excellent spot for flavorful Thai. Everything we tried was delicious and we really appreciated the vegan options. Drinks were also inventive and good and the service was excellent.”

“My experience here was amazing. Our drinks were super yummy, definitely worth the drive over. Emily is beautiful ? Super sweet gal, I'll be going back soon. Thank you for the great chat and awesome coffee!”
“The rooms are always clean. There is a light smell of dog urine in the hallways due to the allowance of pets. If you are traveling with pets this is the best option in my opinion 5 stars. The scenery I’d great being located directly in the river. Some rooms offer views of the river from the balconies. The bar serves good quality drinks; I enjoy their pitchers. The restaurant has quality food if looking to stay at the hotel.”
“Giant portions and friendly people make this one of my favorite breakfast joints. There's also a bar if you like cocktails with your omelette, and there's a outside back porch. Unfortunately, people smoke out there.”
“The atmosphere in my van through the drive thru with my 4 dogs was great. The service was fast and the food was excellent.
Prices these days are high, but maybe the next administration will fix that. Ain't Carl's Jr's fault.”
“I absolutely loved the customer service I received. I ordered online and got my sandwich made on time and efficiently. The manager there is a real gem and truly has a heart for their customers! It was early in the morning too, so to receive a smile and positivity in service was really a day maker!!”
“Yes, I walked through the drive-thru at 2:30 a.m. and they were fabulous. They let me go through the drive-thru walking and they sent me around to the door and they brought my food to me and they were fabulous.”
“Jodie has a heart of Gold. We are from California and my husband is working out here. He had to fly home for an emergency and I'm here alone I was 22 cents short and she helped me so I can have a meal today she helped me and she didn't even hesitate. Thank you so very much ?”
“Really laid back very friendly and clean and accommodating food was great!.......*update years later, still 24hrs reliable in drive-thru:)
Dietary restrictions: My husband is celiac and they made sure they prepared his food on a way he wouldn't get sick:)”
“There was only 1 waitress (I think her name was Julihana), she was amazing!! So good at her job juggling the multiple tables with thoughtful consideration and attentiveness, very aware of what was going on throughout the restaurant and addressing everything within a timely manner and a smile on her face. The 1 cook was great at his job also, layering my sandwich awesomely so the veggies didn't make the bread soggy. My partner was extremely happy with his omelette, emitting little grunts of happiness as he made his way through his meal.
All in all, this has been the best experience I've ever had at a Denny's in all my 39years of life!! Please give these people a raise as they are a beautiful example of the kind of service anyone can appreciate!!”
“We ordered the fried chicken, summer salad, hummus with burnt beef tips and the corn ribs. Everything was unbelievably delicious. The summer salad in particular was refreshing and different. I can not recommend this place enough.”
“High energy and volume. Great service. Family style small plates staggered out makes for a more enjoyable and slow paced meal.”
“Seriously my favorite bowl of ramen in the city. Super spicy and delicious. The broth is tasty, full bodied and very satisfying, perfectly complimenting the soft, doughy noodles. Five stars.”
Takeout Restaurants
“First time eating Ethiopian food, trusted the waiter to choose our food and wine pairing and he hit it spot on! Everything was absolutely delicious. So fresh and spicy and flavorful. We will definitely be back often!”
“We misunderstood their signage and thought they offered breakfast all day: they do not. However, they understood and offered to make us breakfast if the kitchen had the items. Had the Burrito which had a fried soft taco shell and three different sauces. Very yummy! Just the right amount of heat in the sauces. Also had their waffle which was also yummy.
Great view of the mountain! Very clean facilities and very friendly and accommodating staff.”
“Wonderful coffee in a peaceful, simple ambiance. They are confident in the boldness of their roasting profiles and geographies, including beans sourced from various parts of Asia. I was treated with warmth and care - this was a very memorable experience and I will absolutely return each time I visit Portland.”
“Delightful people, beautiful place, excellent food, and affordable. Thank you!”
“while menu is limited, the selections are delicious and satisfying! Sisters is a favorite for flavorful vegetarian choices that don't make us miss meat protein!”
“Super ice creme. Not oversweetened, rather light. Simply delicious”
“the la María burrito is amazing the salsas are good the coffee is strong and flavourful even though my order came through between morning and afternoon meat prep they had it ready really quickly”
“I go here 2-3 days per week for lunch. Food is delicious and well priced. The lamb plate is my go to, no clue how gets the lamb so tender. The owner is super friendly and clearly cares about his customers and you can tell how popular he and his food is by the number of people who walk past and say hello to him. If he moved his cart to another part of town, I'd seriously consider finding a new job in that area.”
“Perfection in the mind's eye in every regard.
Flavor, freshness, execution of literally every single detail (even ones you don't think about until you're made to notice), and the fact it's all accessibly priced kinda made me cry when i tried food from here the other day.
For lack of a quicker comparison, this is like Elden Ring coming out after years of being told the best you can get is sysco-sourced AAA reboots of the same "deliverable" concepts.
I want to experience this place's food for the rest of my life.
I just woke up, but this was very much in my dreams last night after yesterday's dinner, so I was compelled to just get something out. I'll come back some other time to detail the experience.”
“Wolfs Head delivers the ultimate comfort food experience! Their cheese curds are perfectly crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside, and the malted shakes are rich, creamy, and come in classic flavors. The curly fries are seasoned just right and amazing. Great spot!”
“Spectacular food! Definitely will be coming back. I got the Saltfish with Basmati Rice and it was delicious. I can't wait to go back and try more.”
“Wow! Where do I begin. Everything I eat here is always delicious and you can tell the owners care so much, about the food, the dinning space, and their team. I love the wine list and the rotating pizza specials. Definitely a favorite spot of mine and I am so happy they are in the neighborhood.”
“Very nice and toasty heated outdoor seating, colorful and flavorful food, friendly staff.”
“I make it a point to visit Canard Burnside on all of my trips to Portland! The unique flavors and presentations on their menu keep me coming back for more. Had the roasted beets last night for the first time and the flavor was out of this world.”
Drive-Thru Restaurants
“The restaurant was extremely busy, it was 11:am’ish. The staff was very friendly, attentive, smiles on everyone. Atmosphere was bright and comfortable.
Though it was busy food came at a respectable time and was delicious.
There were 4of us, 2 friends were here from Norway they were catching Amtrak at 4:00….it was a lovely place for brunch and spending time with friends.”
“I just moved from Miami to Portland for a new job. Haven’t had my mother’s food in 2 months, I am impressed it tastes as if I never left Miami.
I didn’t have Rice and Beans or Djon Djon that’ll be for the next time I come back
But I had a Pate Boeuf and Legume!
Cheap and Delicious!”
“Haley was an absolute pleasure to order from. Great customer service and made us feel not only welcome but carried on a great conversation during the process. Outstanding drinks we received and service. Nice lil set up and we enjoyed the covered deck while waiting and conversing. Highly recommend Slowbomb Coffee!”
“Randa is the best, her cardamom latte is my favorite. I miss seeing her smiley face, and the best BREW in Portland!!!”
“Turkish coffee was it for me. Friendly staff, good service and great food. I'll go there again and send other's to enjoy.”
“Pizza Rosalie makes a delicious pizza. They have limited hours that they do make pizza, but when they do make pizza -- it's really good. Definitely give them a shot if you are in the Hillsdale neighborhood of Portland. The ingredients were flavorful and fresh and the dough was fantastic.
Vegetarian options: Some pizza options for vegetarians.”
“Excellent customer service!!! Large selection of beverages, breakfast sandwiches and muffins. Very efficient baristas taking excellent care of drive through customers. Need a burger fix? Hit the Spot food cart is in the same parking lot!!!!”
“Best place ever for the morning, I had 2 races in the morning so we went there for drinks, I got a smoothie that was the best smoothie I ever had, it also probably gave me super powers cause I’ve been doing really good on my races, everybody should go here. It’s also SUPER cheap”
“All the dogs were cooked to perfection and delicious! The hand dipped corn dogs are to die for! Get any dog or sausage as a corn dog! The options are plenty and definitely worth the stop. Prices are very reasonable. I'm not a hotdog person and I loved this place.”
“Great service, friendly staff and very delicious, fresh fish at a fair price. Plus they are celiac friendly! We will definitely be back.”
“Always friendly service and great coffee. I especially appreciate that they have a wide variety of sugar free flavors. This is really my new favorite coffee place.”
“The lady that owns the shop is amazing so sweet and so kind and awesome customer service personality. We need more people like her in this world. If you haven’t tried her coffee or chai, you really should.”
“This neighborhood pub has a great selection of beers. My favorites are the First Chair English pub ale and Weasels & Lies double IPA. They have great food, but the menu is a bit limited. Dog friendly and laid back vibe.”
“Great pizza. Heard somewhere it was voted #2 pizza in the world behind some place in Italy. It is probably the best pizza I have ever had. All 12" pies thin crust and crispy.
They open at 5pm, no reservations and you should get there 15 minutes early. They fill every seat with the line most nights.
Their service is very fast and they get the food out quick.”
Fine Dining
“One of best prix fixe meals ever! Friendly, passionate AND professional service. Spot-on wine pairings and delicious cocktails. Wish we lived in Portland so we could go back! Good value for quality and quantity.”
“I am not sure where to start! Made a last minute reservation, last seat available at the Chef's counter. This must be the best place to sit at! Service was outstanding; attentive and caring with great recommendations. Friendly neighbors too!”
“Everything. This is not just going to dinner. This is a dining experience. It’s a small reserved venue. Yes it’s spendy, but worth every penny. You’ll try food you never thought you try. The mostly seafood menu it so well prepared. Plus you can watch the prepared each course. A fun night.”
“I am so grateful for Portland Juice Co and their amazing high quality living foods. The juices, smoothies, and probiotics are alive and full of nutrient rich enzymes. Small businesses like Portland Juice are such a gift to the marketplace and I appreciate that they choose such good ingredients for their delicious juices and smoothies. I can taste the nutrition ?”
“Service is consistently impeccable. A lovely evening enjoyed by everyone in our party. My steak was perfectly cooked, but not quite the same quality cut of beef I've had here in the past. Otherwise, a very fine restaurant experience.”
“Appetizers are good but our steaks were way overcooked and took 30 minutes to resolve issues”
“Everything was delicious, all favors well balanced. My favorite was the scallop and a5 wagyu, I am still dreaming about those dishes. The wine pairing sound fantastic too bad I can't drink much. Top notch service and it was cute they gave us champagne for our 10th anniversary. Highly recommended, this place will be tough to book in the future.”
“We finally got here after attempting to get a reservation for months. It was so worth the effort. First, the service was exceptional, from the 4 servers attending us. Each bite exploded with flavor! So many courses, but you are never overwhelmed by feeling stuffed. Try to try again to get into this amazing dining experience.”
“Atmosphere off the rip, is something that must be noted! Incredible. If you've heard of Janken then you have seen the ambiance and the famous white cherry blossom in the middle. Food was fantastic. Service was phenomenal. I've seen and heard that the portion sizes were small, not my opinion at all. We were more than full leaving this place with leftovers to take home. We ordered an array of items off the menu and we were pleased with every single one. The A 5 wagyu was impressive and the bingsu for dessert would be the highlights for myself. I would certainly recommend this place and would most definitely be back to try other items on the menu.”

“Thai kitchen is such a unique and amazing restaurant!! I've eaten here 4 times now, and each time the food was BOMB!!”
Cheap Eats
“This place is OK With Me!!!when they brought out my food I wasn’t happy because my eggs were on top of my gravy, but they fixed it and so I was OK but my gravy and potatoes were cold I had chicken fried steak. They were really nice. They took it off. My daughter was satisfied with her food. I was satisfied with my eggs in my toast so overall their food is delicious and decent. I just have to order different when I come next time, but I will be Back. my daughter had the churro waffles and they looked good and they smelled good and she said they were delicious so overall the food is good.”
“The collection of books and board games is AMAZING. Not to mention the artwork and attention to detail for the experience. DEFINITELY recommend whether with your kiddos or as a date night experience destination.”
“Such delicious smoothies and sandwiches, plus great customer service! Thrilled to have such a spot in the neighborhood!!”
“On Wednesday, we made a detour to Tito’s Taquitos Swan Island in N Portland.
This was a clean, quick and friendly lunch spot located in the Swan Island industrial area. They have indoor and outdoor seating, with lots of parking.
My husband ordered one rib eye taco on blue corn tortilla, one garlic butter shrimp taco and 4 crispy hand-rolled potato filled taquitos topped with braised beef.
They also offered green, red, or habanero sauces.
Each bite has their flavor, texture, components and the balance to satisfy our taste, we love it.”
“Hopefully the owner of this shop is so proud of the community establishment she has created! I have been temporarily living a block away for work the last few months and this place has saved me. I missed the anniversary party and any other events she may have had, but it’s been a delight having such a gem near by. Even if I move a little further from the city, this unassuming place is worth the trek! The creativity, attention to detail, and care can almost be tasted in the air…. although i recommend actually tasting one of her pastries! Hehe. Quiche also must be “grandmas secret recipe” type deal. 10/10 .. or 5/5 whatever it is, check this spot out!!!
Kid-friendliness: Community. Atmosphere.”
“Real neat place with fun staff. I got the Beast and the Beauty sandwich, and it was huge! Absolutely delicious with a ton of meat and delicious toppings. My friend got a gluten free Rose City smashburger, and it was on a sliced sandwich bread that got toasted but no complaints from them. Definitely recommend.
Dietary restrictions: Seems like the only gluten free bread they have is sliced loaf bread.”
“The best tamales iv ever had and before I went vegan I definitely had my fair share of tamales!! The masa was perfect! The beans had sooo much flavor. She definitely loads up the plate too 100/10?”
“Incredible. I’ve never felt such a profound emotional reaction to something as simply advertised as pizza. It was an out of body experience and I’m assuming it’s this way because it’s somebody’s life work. It’s the only explanation I have. If that’s the case then it’s somehow elaborately deceptive in its facade of simple ingredients because it’s completely engineered to make you feel something so profound it catches you off guard in a world full of distractions.”
“Love this place so much! Always hits the spot. The feijoada reminds me of some good southern red beans and rice. Greens are always seasoned and cooked perfectly.”
“I love this food so much! My family and I have been going to the 14th St carts for a long time now, and we always have a great time. Mama’s Peruvian Bowls is FAVORITE cart. The food is amazing, and I love the people who own the cart. They are so friendly. I HIGHLY recommend MPB!”
“I'm a New York pizza snob and this place rates the 5 stars - big 12 inch pizza nicely sauced with great cheese and pepperoni - it was great ? and good beer on tap”
“Safe, amazing, ice cream that is a true treat even if you don’t need to be safe.”
“A coffee shop that roasts everything in Portland. It's located on the second floor of a building, and the older brother makes coffee at a cute coffee counter.”
“Had some friends eat here and they raved about the food and the service. They highly recommend this venue.”
“This hands down is one of my favorite restaurants in Portland OR. It the same quality of other top spots in the US like Nobu , O-Ya , and Morimoto . The location is perfect located in the Pearl district. The chefs are high quality and the fish is extremely fresh. They have a great but simple flavor approach. The service is warm, helpful, and appreciative. I always ask for Joy as she is a true professional and loves providing an exceptional experience on every visit.”
“First time eating Ethiopian food, trusted the waiter to choose our food and wine pairing and he hit it spot on! Everything was absolutely delicious. So fresh and spicy and flavorful. We will definitely be back often!”
“Extremely cute little German restaurant restaurant. Wonderful absolutely wonderful food.
Vegan latkes????? SO MUCH YES.
VEGAN gnocchi amd spatzle??? And delicous?? Please. I wish I'd known this was here prior.
Having had German food from our family years back- after I got dairy and egg allergies a few decades back, I lost out on the cuisine.
I'll be back here again many a time as possible”
“It’s been a long time since I’ve had such incredible Chinese food! Not only was the taste outstanding, but the satisfying, wholesome feeling afterward was equally memorable. You can tell this meal was made with a kind heart.”
“Great place to eat lebanon cousin. I Awesome taste of everything I’ve tried! Great quality of the products! Attention to details (my beetroot salad was with a sprinkle of orange juice and zest). Highly recommend. Also a lovely promenade near the river as a bonus after your dinner!”
“We sat at the bar and loved the atmosphere… service was superb (thank you Nick) and the food delicious”
“Went here for dinner, I had the curry and chicken appetizer. It was so YUMMY! My husband had the steak plate. It was all so good. Wish the curry wasn't vegetarian! Food tasted very fresh and authentic.”
“We enjoyed the egg rolls, noodles, and general tso chicken. The dumplings were okay. For the price ($13-20 each dish) I'd expect bigger portions. The cocktails were tasty but small (4-6oz) for $16+ each. The service was friendly and attentive.”
“Solid experience with great food. Staff was attentive and friendly. Ambiance was decent but I think we had the corner window with all the flies. That was the only downside and I'm planning to return.”
“Best date night go to. All I can say is you have to go! The pictures speak for themselves.”
“Dinner was so good that we grabbed some celeriac at the farmers market to try cooking it ourselves.
The entire staff did an excellent job and the chef, Aaron Adams, even showed us some of his cook books as we chatted about vegetables used in the menu.”
“Definitely one of the best brunches I have ever had. My friend and I got the Grand Brunch for two. We were so glad we did because picking just one thing from the menu was way too hard. I will definitely recommend this brunch to anyone looking for a great place to go.”
“Fantastic quality and great and friendly service. Highly recommended!”
“Wow! Where do I begin. Everything I eat here is always delicious and you can tell the owners care so much, about the food, the dinning space, and their team. I love the wine list and the rotating pizza specials. Definitely a favorite spot of mine and I am so happy they are in the neighborhood.”
“Absolutely delicious! We've been wanting to try this place for a while but they are always busy. With good reason!
We scored a table outside and had a lovely dinner. Will definitely be back!”
“Tartuca was an excellent and delectable experience, all around. Felt lots of warmth and friendliness, from walking in the door at the hostess stand all the way to the end.
Appreciated the simplicity of the menu. Our server was very patient and happy to answer any questions we had about the menu, which we had a few of.
Got the mushroom pasta and seasonal (squash blossom) pizza, with the caeser salad. All of the food was fresh, tastefully presented, and very delectable. The mushroom pasta was my favorite, with the corn contrasting the lobster + king oyster mushrooms perfect, combined with a crunchiness to contrast the creaminess & softness of the pasta + sauce itself.
Definitely will be returning to try more of the items on the menu. The kale pizza looked very intriguing.”
“You cannot say anything bad about please place, sorry. They are one of the best kept secrets in Portland.”
“Let me start by saying the food is perfect, absolutely delicious. Service is also fantastic.
I'm giving a 4 only because I have to remove a star for wheelchair accessibility. The ramp is fairly steep, they don't have parking so you might have to park around the block, and the hallway for the bathroom is narrow, bathroom is single occupant and that's a bonus for me it did have space but could only fit a slim wheelchair through the door.
Parking: No parking lot, Street parking is paid with the Parking Kitty App.
Wheelchair accessibility: Steep ramp does have bars, thin doorway entrance on the ramp. Bathroom hallway also narrow but did accommodate my Lightweight manual thin wheelchair.”
“An absolute neighborhood gem!! I wish I lived here because I would be back at least once a week for the Chor Muang (Royal Flower dumpling). The flavors were big, and each dish has a special connection to the Thai cuisine, and the owner is so kind and personable sharing his vision behind the dishes.”
“My sister treated me to an outing here. Not a lot of food options but what they do have it pretty tasty! The flavor of the kalbi ribs was delicious but chewy. Rice and Mac were some of the best I have ever had. You have to try the crab Rangoon dip and Hawaiian bread (I could rave about them). It’s a great hidden tiki bar. Loved watching them throw fire all over the place. Definitely known for their exotic drinks. I had the rhuby sunset (told the gal to surprise me) and I didn’t think I liked rhubarb until I had it! Was so yummy! It’s a small place but even full it doesn’t feel crowded. Absolutely will be coming back!! Such a fun experience”
“Dead shot was an amazing experience. The point of the pallet is to set the tone and let the masters decide your fate. You won't be disappointed, humbled and ready for my next visit.”
“Great food in a nice atmosphere.”
“The owner is super nice and friendly. I love the decorations. Very warm and inviting. Feels like you are in HaNoi. Food is authentic. Good place to go to for special occasion or hang out with friends.”
“I enjoyed the grilled vegetable platter. Also, the in-house baked, fresh piping hot out the oven pita bread was amazing with the hummus. Save room for dessert because tue baklava is amazing! Everything was so fresh! I can’t forget about the staff. He was attentive and pleasant. I look forward to visiting again soon.”
“The sushi was fresh and good options. Atmosphere is tight inside with outside seat options but I don’t believe it was covered, inside was too warm for us to sit inside, it is a small strip mall store vibe. Service is slow so may not want to pick this place if in a hurry. Despite the atmosphere and slow service the food was great and prices were very reasonable.”
“Wow. What can I say...this place has the best drinks and burgers in town! My husband tried the lamb burger, and I tried the Elk burger. Both burgers were soon delicious and just filled with flavor!!! I really enjoyed eating there! And the drinks were really good as well. It's a must stop place to get yourself a quick bite.”
“Loved the oysters and the cocktails were great. There was an issue with the order but they made it right, which is a marker (in my eyes) of a good establishment.”
“Craving something a little adventurous tonight, decided to see what the hype was about. Totally efficient ordering and pickup. Sooooo delicious - wish I had ordered MANY orders of the dumplings. Next time! Every bite a new taste sensation. This is why we ❤️ restaurants!”
“This was a fantastic date night choice. Very small, cozy space. Definitely recommend making reservations! While we were very happy with our food, the rosti was a little bland and tasted vaguely of potato and bacon. Not much seasoning or other flavors. I think the two dressings would have been great on it, but they snatched them quick before our main dishes arrived and I didn't even think to ask for them until after we left! The service was great. We forgot our leftovers but the server ran it out to us, which was very sweet.”
“Delicious, interesting food that you won't see anywhere else. Good music. Good admotsphere. Good service. Small servings for the price but that's to be expected!! Highly recommend”
“Sayler's Old Country Kitchen is a beloved restaurant known for its hearty American fare and nostalgic ambiance. Located in Portland, Oregon, it's famous for its massive portions, particularly its steaks and prime rib. The restaurant has a cozy, old-school diner feel, making it a great spot for families or anyone craving classic comfort food. Whether you're in the mood for a filling breakfast, a juicy steak dinner, or their renowned onion rings, Sayler's is a favorite among locals and visitors alike. If you're in Portland and looking for a memorable dining experience, Sayler's Old Country Kitchen is definitely worth a visit!”
“A phenomenal meal.
Delicate flavors with nuanced textures. Immaculate atmosphere, great service. The staff are hugely knowledgeable about the wine list, which is a great sign.
Every dish was a hit.”
“I felt so welcomed and graciously attended from the beginning to the end of my experience at Feral. Myself and my 3 sisters loved everything we got, which was most of the menu. We stayed a long time to talk and digest and felt no pressure to leave the table even though it was Friday night and the place was filled. Feral is the expert mix of relaxed and class. The food is dynamic and delicious always. I especially appreciate the genuine good humans who work so hard to make it happen. Thank you!
Dietary restrictions: All vegan food, gf options.
Parking: Plenty of parking around in the neighborhood.”
“The food was amazing! We ordered many things since it was our first time, and there was nothing I wouldn't order the next time. That's a problem because there were still many things I want to try that I didn't get to. Looks like I will be returning often.”
“Some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had. Every time we have been here we have been blown away by the food quality. Lots of dishes, fully labeled menu for allergens and knowledgeable staff.”
“Delicious and beautiful food!!! I miss being able to eat at your restaurant because the atmosphere was always so relaxing and unique. Thanks for the amazing food and experience!”
“Very quaint Japanese bistro with traditional menu offerings. Plus specials written on the wall.
We were lucky to fit in a "quick" bite. RSVP would be highly recommended for this newer restaurant.
The staff is friendly and attentive. The chef is beautifully focused but when he looks up to hand you your food, the smile on his face says everything. Enjoy!
We enjoyed Tako karaage-so perfectly cooked and tasty. Garlic shishito pepper-not spicy, light pepper with fish flakes, we liked it with the Tako dipping sauce. Albacore yuzu omoi-super light and tender, melts in your mouth. California roll-because it's made with REAL CRAB! And a special clam offered tonight, cooked perfect. Clams in a light buttery broth.... Just delightful.”
“I recently attended an event catered by Kabob and was delighted by the variety and quality of the dishes they provided. The choices I made were all vegetarian, but from the comments I over heard everyone enjoyed their non-vegetarian meals as much as I did my plant based one.”
“Yummy Hawaiian food! A little too salty but still delicious. Food portions were big. Craft beer inside and food truck outside. The surrounding area and street has quite a few RV’s/tents/homeless people riding bikes and walking up and down the street. Didnt feel super unsafe while I was there”
“I am not sure where to start! Made a last minute reservation, last seat available at the Chef's counter. This must be the best place to sit at! Service was outstanding; attentive and caring with great recommendations. Friendly neighbors too!”
“This place had a great staff, that was very welcoming. The choice to dine inside or outside, plus a large tent area outside. The food was on point, choosing from slider size or full size, gives everyone the portion size that suits their stomachs desire. A nice cool evening to be outside.
Dietary restrictions: Vegan Available
Kid-friendliness: Children allowed”
“Attentive service and excellent food. Sausage roll is a must.”
“Had a very special time with our group of five. Adam made the whole experience easy and fun!”
“A tasty and unique departure from the standard breakfast/brunch fare offered elsewhere. Very nice flavors and generous portions. Excellent service. Being GF a big plus. Good coffee. Overall, a very nice experience and will definitely be returning.”
“This is one of the most delicious places I’ve ever been to!!”
“Can’t beat the $8 margherita pizza! The vegan pizza was excellent. Very nice clean and casual atmosphere.”
“Had the sprouts and Rhode Island style calamari. Outstanding.”
“Warm cozy atmosphere, friendly service, fine cocktails.”
“Service is consistently impeccable. A lovely evening enjoyed by everyone in our party. My steak was perfectly cooked, but not quite the same quality cut of beef I've had here in the past. Otherwise, a very fine restaurant experience.”
“Food was ok, decent portions. Seafood curry was the least yummy. Cucumber salad was delicious! Server girl was meh. Hostess was really nice. Place was loud and busy, not a complaint.”
“I can't stop thinking about the celery salad and the warm olives”
“Quaint little place, very clean & attractive inside. Ramen was so delicious, especially the broths. They chargrilled the pork for the enhanced flavor. The bamboo shoots were pickled? very tasty. Eggs were cooked perfectly. The assorted tempura was surprisingly good, especially the fresh & thick shiitake mushroom(only 1). The added fresh grated white radish & ginger was a nice touch. I added the fresh grated ginger to my Shio Ramen, wonderful. Parking limited to 1 hr in a small shopping center. 2 thumbs up.”
“Ok can we talk about portlands cutest freaking bar?!?!?! I mean honestly every week the bar scene is changing but I absolutely loved this place. I loved how unexpectedly cute it was and how unique the menu was! I will say that the food takes a LONG time to come out so don't come here if you're hungry and wanting food ”
“Met the owner who was working by himself. He was extremely nice and his service was awesome. Not only that, the pizza they make here is incredible! Not only that the price is very reasonable. Why would anyone order delivery when this is as cheap or cheaper, but MUCH higher quality!
Met the owners children and grandchildren and all i can say is they are good people! Support local yall!!”
“I came here for wine with a close friend, the owner was very welcoming and offered great insight into the wine. We enjoyed his recommendations. Didn’t have any of the food, but it smelled amazing! Will come again.”
“These are the best dumplings that I have had yet in Portland! I was nervous about parking and found a spot immediately. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Our server made great recommendations for cocktails as well as gluten-free options. The food is beyond flavorful and delicious! I cannot wait to go back. Thank you for making my birthday dinner delicious!
Dietary restrictions: There were about 10 to 15 options on the menu for people that had a gluten sensitivity. My friend with the gluten sensitivity and was very happy they were many options to choose from.”
“We were in Portland overnight and Gilda's was recommended to us by the hotel staff. The food was amazing. It was crazy busy and the staff were hustling, but very professional. Even when a customer at the next table was being unnecessarily difficult (his companion and the waitress and we all knew it was his error, not the waitress's) the waitress handled the situation with grace. We were so impressed with the food and the staff, we went back on our return trip through Portland a week later. Equally impressive food and service, but on a slow night, so the staff had time to happily engage with customers. Shout outs to Taylor and Gabby and Chef Marco. Everything was delicious and the service was friendly and professional. Highly recommend.”

“We use to go to the Hi Hat in Tigard for our Chinese food. But they closed years ago. So we have been going to the place in downtown Tigard. And they are just OK. Nothing special. So tonight we tired Kuang's Kitchen. And WOW. The BBQed pork was very moist, the String Bean Pork was flavorful with the right ratio of beans to pork. 10-ingredient fried rice had everything listed and very good. This will now be our go to place for good Chinese food.”
“The food is amazing, the prices are great and speed is fast! The atmosphere isn't the best but the food makes up for it!”
“We ordered thru UberEats. While UberEats won’t rectify any issues you might have, I called the restaurant, and they explained how they were able to accommodate an allergy. The food was delicious! We will be back. My kids loved the seared salmon donut., and the banana B-ritto. I had the treasure roll and a bowl with mixed fish. We got wasabi mayo sauce, chili sauce and another orange mayo- delicious. We kinda stuffed ourselves, to be honest. (And they use paper goods to wrap their food instead of plastic.) thank you!”
“I usually get very good food here. But just ordered a coney long dog and went right home around the corner. The weiner wasn't even luke warm. Only thing that was somewhat a little over warm was the coney sauce. I guess I will have to try out at the McGloughlin Roakes. This was very depressing and disappointing.”
“I can't remember when I bought my first printer from Portland Printer Place, but Chris has always been top notch.”
“The waiter was snappy and rude and condescending.”
“Dinner with a couple of friends and we decided to try out the menu. Started with Aracini and the MB Salad. Delicious! On to the main dishes of Foie & Chicken Mousse, Grilled Prawns and King Salmon with Grilled Potatoes and Brussel Sprouts. Finished with the Gilled Bananas Foster. All the dishes were excellent. The staff couldn't have been more friendly or efficient.”
“I am by no means a Vegan. In fact if there is an afterlife I am sure I will have many many furry faces waiting for me for my crimes of rampant meat consumption. So setting that as the starting off point I eat the vegan bowl here like two or three times a week. This girl is an absolute wok goddess. I have no idea how she manages to cook every single piece of vegetables in her stir frys without ever making a single piece go limp. I have a deep and abiding childhood hatred of cauliflower. It is marrow deep to the point of irrational dislike on my end. Yet when that vile weed appears at random in her stir fry I am not only okay with it, but thoroughly enjoy the dish. Even her rice is several steps ahead of the competition. The curried Garbonzo beans are simply perfect. The fresh diced cucumber and carrot makes the perfect crunchy contrast with the amazing rice and curried legumes. The fresh lime juice makes her dishes flirt with sweetness while still being savory. If your tired of the same old boring grease soaked fries and cheese slathered mediocre slabs of low grade meat check out this cart. The flavors are both well seasoned yet not over powering. She has a chefs touch to be sure. Plus my heart I am sure prefers the fare far more than another artery clogging mass of American failure cuisine.”
“Finally gave in and tried the baby corn taco truck before my sons football game they where very polite and waited patiently for us to make up our mind after changing it few times haha but got the food and it was really good my family is picky on the meat they eat and they loved everything we got so much we even went back after the game ended late it was raining and they even ran us the food so we didn't hslf to get out. Kids keep asking to go back they said it taste fresh and good just like when we are in mexico so I guess we found our new spot”
“Lalibela server the best Ethiopian Cuisine with excellent service.”
“I have so many allergies, their fish is absolutely the freshest with generous portions of fish unlike many belt sushi places. I order everything since I have a sesame and avocado allergy among others and GF. I have never had a reaction, they are super positive and careful with my order. Have gone there so much they have out the gf soy sauce, and remember my allergies even if I haven't been there for awhile!! By far my favorite sushi place and feel like family when I go there. The all you can eat sushi is the best deal out there for $23 a person!!”

“This restaurant is EXCELENT The atmosphere is beautiful, the staff is top notch and the food is the best. We will definitely visit again when we go back to Portland.”
“not just the view should make you visit. our server, William, was very kind and patient with all our questions. the food was stellar. 5 stars”
“Had a great d be inner. Wonderful tasting food and great views.”

“Everything about Daily Fuel PDX is absolute perfection! Whole food plant based comfort food for the win!! Try it, you won’t regret it!!!”
“Great atmosphere, with good music and artwork. It’s a small business that shows pride in what they offer. The food is amazing! A co worker and I were in the area today for a training that was based on east coast time (trainer was remote).:Much to our dismay, the lunch break was at 10am, but then we discovered this gem! I had the uptown shrimp ‘n grits, and my friend had biscuits and gravy. Amazing flavors and generous portions.”
“Food and service were excellent. Bar needs to carry a cherry vodka so my wife can get her cherry cosmo. High end restaurant and bar should be able to carry a cherry vodka. (Effen black cherry vodka is the best)”
“We two ate from the experience menu, and ordered six different dishes. Each one was exceptionally good--one of the best kitchens we've enjoyed anywhere. Tuna sashimi, tomato salad, pork belly, ishiyaki steak, glazed king salmon and kushiyaki steak--all fabulous taste sensations prepared excellently. Jessica's service was on point: friendly, informative, timely. I would travel to Oregon from NY again just to dine there again.”

“A very memorable birthday dinner! This is a fine dining experience first and foremost. Though I usually do have some dietary limitations (gluten, egg, dairy) I could pretty much ignore my usual vigilance because of their inclusive yet refined, elegant, and unique menu preparation. They also made it easy to share our plates amongst all of us. I’m aware that their menu will change as the available produce changes with the season, but the carrots with the black tahini sauce, and the roasted cabbage were both standouts. I don’t often get to dine like this, but I will return as often as possible.”
“First visit and tried five different menu items, each of which was delicious. Excited to try all the other dishes.
The interior is lovely and they have a great outdoor dining space as well which is equally welcoming.
The staff was friendly and delightful. The value is as good as anything you can find in town.
This places is killing it with a lovely space, friendly and helpful staff, and great value. The food is absolutely fantastic and i hope they stick around for a long, long time. New favorite Thai restaurant in Portland.
Do yourself a favor and give it a try before word gets out.”
“Mole burrito ⭐⭐⭐⭐
- should have asked for some sort of salsa
- could be spicier
- what you'd expect, but in a good w was y
- I kind of love the crunch
Ceviche ⭐⭐⭐⭐
- refreshing
- a little too orange forward to me, wish it had less orange, more lemon, but it's totally a personal preference
- would totally order in hot weather
- wish there was more fish
Chips ⭐⭐
- little bland and sort of stale”
“Easily the best Indian food we've had in Oregon. So many excellent dishes. We've been twice now and every item we have ordered has been very flavorful and well prepared. Will definitely be back!”
“Wow! You gotta try this authentic NY sole food. For those of us who hadn’t had the experience it was a tastebud love fest! Not to be missed!!!”
“The service was on point! Honestly I like the set they have, and the food came out quickly. I'm not vegetarian, but I only ordered vegetarian dishes because they all looked so good! I'll be going back to try some of the meatier dishes soon, but I'm glad they have vegan, veggie, and meaty options on the menu. IMO a huge step up from Sweet Hereafter (sorry fans of the old place).”
“Quickly becoming a favorite stop, especially on farmer's market days. The drinks are quality, solid beans for sale, the baristas are always awesome, and the space is cozy, warm, and welcoming. Plus you can order Ranch pizza if you stand at the register and look left, which... yeah, duh, do it.”
“I had accidentally placed an online order for before they opened. They were sooo kind and made my order anyway!! The food was absolutely delicious, everything tasted fresh and was well seasoned. I am so impressed and will definitely be back. A special thank you for accommodating me this time <3”
“I had the falafel saj and it was some of the tastiest falafel I've had in town! Omar is super nice and I'll definitely be back soon to try the rest of the menu.”
“Delicious and inspired take on a fusion of Hispanic and Indian flavor profiles. The staff is warm and friendly.
Wheelchair accessibility: Fully accessible, no steps at all.”
“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Gyro Bistro, located in SE Portland's new WonderLove, featuring a three-story bar and food cart pod, is a true gem! From the moment you arrive, the welcoming atmosphere and friendly food cart staff set the tone for a fantastic dining experience.
The gyros are absolutely phenomenal, but don't miss out on the baba ghanoush and grape leaves – they are simply to die for! The baba ghanoush is creamy and flavorful, while the grape leaves are perfectly seasoned and tender.
The food is fresh, delicious, and generously portioned. With reasonable prices and top-notch service, Gyro Bistro is a must-visit.
Highly recommended for anyone strolling through SE Portland down the road from OMSI!”
“I went on a weekday at 6pm so there were lots of seats but as it got later, it was packed!
Environment: The area was a lot brighter and I loved the mood of it. It felt welcoming and there were booths around the area. There were tables for 2 and up to maybe 8-10 people as well. I liked the decorations as it wasn't too much but it was still nice and they had Chinese background music playing.
Behind the seats there was a sauce bar where you can get sauce (of course) as well as fruits, small dishes like pig ears and radish, and Chinese "sweet water" dessert.
Staff: They were quick and efficient. They checked on us multiple times to see if we needed more soup. They mostly served us food and helped us with the soup and water. Everything else we grabbed by the sauce bar.
Food: Okay, we ordered a lot so thanks for reading all the way to the bottom (HAHAHAH)
1. Soup bases:
#5 Umami mushroom broth: this was umami indeed. Very flavorful and lots of mushrooms. They were really delicious, all bouncy, a bit chewy, and not overcooked as you let them boil. This soup base did get a bit saltier as time went on so ask a server to pour some water to dilute it just a bit.
#8 Flavorful bone marrow broth: this was lighter but to be honest, this had enough flavor on its own, too. I didn't use the sauce bar because I can't handle spicy foods and this was already savory enough.
2. 1 Meter beef and lamb meat: first of all, extra points for appearance! It was long and grand! I heard that the servers slice the meats themselves so the meats stay fresh. I'm so glad they do this instead of buying frozen pre cut meat. It makes a difference. The meat was so tender and with a little fat in between made it extra delicious.
3. Flat Iron Beef: again, super tender and with some fat it made the meat more flavorful and delicious. It didn't feel greasy or filling and the portion was reasonable!
4. Fish ball with fish roe: you need to be careful when eating this because there's super hot fish roe inside.
5. Ox tongue: the ox tongue was fresh but it was hard to cook it just right because it got super chewy. It felt like I was chewing on a beef flavored gum and I couldn't swallow some pieces.
6. Handmade meatball with cilantro: the texture of the meatball was nice. It wasn't very hard and it kind of falls apart as you eat it, kind of like western meatball. The downside was that it was too salty.
7. Bean curd sticks AND bean curd rolls: they're both soy products and you should get BOTH of them because they soak up all the soup and flavors.
8. Snakehead fish filet: the name is a little weird but the filet was delicious! Soft, tender, and smooth! No fishy smell or taste. I'd highly recommend this one!
9. Pumpkin: I believe it's Japanese pumpkin and after boiling it for awhile, it was good. It was sweet and the thickness of the slices were nice so you have a nice bite but it's not too thin where it turns to mush or too big that you feel like it's a lot of work to bite into.
10. I got mango passionfruit tea without the extra sugar syrup. Very good with the meal as having something cold and a bit sweet/tangy was nice. Generous cup and the combination was good.
11. Mango snow ice: the consistency and texture of the snow ice was really good! It was creamy and fresh pieces of mangoes to go along with it, it was a great way to end the meal! There were also mixtures of condensed milk and mango syrup. Those areas were extra sweet. Perhaps if I requested less syrup, it would be better but overall, I really enjoyed it. I couldn't finish this on my own so the table shared it with me and all liked it!
Did you read all the way to the end? HAHA. Yes, some may say that this place is pricier than oth”
“This chipotle has great customer service and the staff are very nice and helpful. Everyone there seemed to be enjoying the chipotle environment and working to create a positive atmosphere. The food was exquisite. Will be going back!”
“The best!! You won’t be disappointed. Staff are clearly experts and enjoy being there. So much fun energy too! Mind. Blown.”
