Malgré une commande placée 30 minutes avant la fermeture, le système l'a planifié pour le lendemain matin. Nous avons appelé et le gérant de plancher nous a fait notre commande sur place 3 minutes avant la fermeture. Service exceptionnel, la nourriture était chaude et abondante.”

“First time visitor on March 23, to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The restaurant was happily booked up when I tried to make a reservation, so I was only able to secure a table at 5:15pm. I left a little note asking them to keep us in mind if there was a cancellation for a later spot, and they contacted me by email, text, and phone when a later table became available for 6:15pm. Very responsive and friendly staff. Our time at Soif was marvellous. The staff were friendly and extremely professional. Service was relaxed yet very polished. Our server was knowledgeable about the wine and took great care to ensure we were enjoying ourselves. We had a flight of wine to start, followed by a beautiful bottle of white, and a flight of bubbles to end our evening. We shared a half cheese/half charcuterie platter that came with a mountain of crispy and delicious crostini, the latter being refilled without having to ask. Such a small but lovely touch. We also shared roasted Brussels sprouts, frites and aioli, a bison tartare, and grilled radicchio, that were all delicious. They surprised my friend with a little dessert wine and candle to acknowledge her birthday, which was so kind and thoughtful. I have not a single critique. The team here works like a well-oiled machine. No one seemed frantic or rushed. It was a lovely evening. I (we) will definitely be back. Santé!”

“Where to start. Lovely romantic place. Food is awesome and staff fun yo interact with. Ambiance is top notch. We sat at the bar with a great view of the place and it was very comfortable. I was there for Lunch on a Friday. Had there salmon tartar with their hg and cut fries and a nice mix green salad vinaigrette was so nice. Next day to a friend out to celebrate a birthday. Had starters, foie gras, Blue cheese escargots. Damn that was nice. Rib eye for two and a small cheesecake and lots of wine both days. Really recommend this place.”

“You can find the basics here like snacks, coffee, chips, muffins, etc... but what you probably don't know is this unassuming little convenience store attached to a gas station also has one of the best pizzas in Gatineau.I live in the Greater Toronto Area and good pizza is fairly easy to find. When I visit my daughter in Gatineau, it's not so easy. I find pizza here to be bland and mostly low quality ingredients at premium prices.This little place however, is different. The pizza is reasonably priced and quite better than any I've found so far in the area. Ingredients are fresh and they don't try to pretend you're getting a great deal by giving you a dozen 2 inch wide slices.Next time you want a pizza, give this place a try, you won't regret it. They're on Uber Eats as Pizza Iolo.

Vegetarian options: They have a vegetarian pizza with a great combination of ingredients. mushroom, green, orange and red peppers, onions, and green olives

Parking: Lots of parking for customers”

“Located in a green area and with parking at the front, you have to rely on the illuminated sign so as not to miss it. At the time of my stay, it was relaxing. I noticed that there were a lot of regulars, because the hostess seemed to know the tastes of several customers. The service lived up to expectations, and parking was sufficient. Of course the place is accessible to people with reduced mobility.

She was so lovely, nice and listen to me carefully and she ask for forgiveness behalf her team mate so I give 5 stars because of her.. they need more staff like her to be honest and she also offer me something for the bad moment and she brought quick the Hash to me. She was a sweetheart.

All 3 dishes were minimal, watery soup consistency; staples such as rice and naan were extra $, bland and over-priced, and everything needed to be reheated after driving 3 blocks to get home. I am furious at being so let down. Indian-style food is my favourite. I've tried 10+ ottawa-area Indian places in the past and this was certainly the worst.”

The octopus, the stuffed zucchini blossoms and my choice, the thon tartare offered amazing flavours ( strawberry, ginger and oxalis) and were presented beautifully. Each dish was unique and delicious! We all had the same entrée, crevettes norvégiennes with fresh pasta, topped with trout caviar in a delicate but flavorful sauce - an original combination of textures, colours and flavors. Wow! For dessert, we shared an amazing concoction of cake, pistachios, almonds??? - Totally creative and totally delicious - a perfect ending to an excellent dinner. Thanks to the chef and his culinary team for making this evening so special for all of us - clearly a 5 - star experience! Merci beaucoup! “I discovered La Joie Shawarma about two years ago, and ever since, it’s been part of my weekly routine. The food quality is consistently top everything tastes fresh, and you can tell a lot of care goes into each dish.

The garlic sauce and hummus are incredibly flavorful and perfectly made. As for the beef and the chicken shawarma sandwich, all dressed with spicy sauce and sesame, it’s hands down the best shawarma I’ve had in the Ottawa–Gatineau area. Nothing else comes close. I honestly can’t enjoy shawarma from anywhere else now.

The owner and his team are super friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. Just a tip: try to get there early at lunchtime because it gets busy really fast!

Le changement dans le personnel apporte une irrégularité dans le rendu: parfois plus ou moins de contenu, et dans la préparation. maintenant la viande est parfois sec, les patates sont froides (goute plus le réchauffé que le frais cuit)... dommage. avant c'était top. il faut insister pour avoir plus de humus ou de sauce a l'ail (un peu radin ?). Le menu n'a pas vraiment changé, le choix des condiments est demeuré sensiblement identique. La quantité toujours intéressante quand même (ratio quantité/cout). “Excellent pub, great atmosphere. Has all the positive elements that a neighborhood restaurant should have. Service is impeccable, menu is diverse with some unique offerings. Daily specials are unbeatable. And the washrooms are spotless! ; ). IMO, that says a lot about management. This is a newly established business in an older area of Gatineau. Nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis par notre serveur, Minuentak, qui a été brillant dans ses descriptions détaillées des plats, ses suggestions concernant le choix des vins, y compris l'excellent vin non alcoolisé - Antelope, et son véritable souci de notre bien-être. Le poulpe, les fleurs de courgette farcies et mon choix, le tartare de thon, offraient des saveurs incroyables (fraise, gingembre et oxalis) et étaient présentés magnifiquement. Chaque plat était unique et délicieux ! Nous avons tous pris la même entrée, des crevettes norvégiennes avec des pâtes fraîches, surmontées de caviar de truite dans une sauce délicate mais savoureuse - une combinaison originale de textures, couleurs et saveurs. Wow ! Pour le dessert, nous avons partagé une création incroyable de gâteau, pistaches, amandes ??? - totalement créatif et totalement délicieux - une fin parfaite pour un excellent dîner. Merci au chef et à son équipe culinaire d'avoir rendu cette soirée si spéciale.”

“Today (2 July 2026) I went to get at meal at the breakfast.. and there’s was this girl that brought my food to the third window and she just like threw the food to me and I ask her nicely to wait only 2 seconds till I do verify if everything was inside (btw hash was missing) and she just left… but then another girl came and I ask her name she told me it was Dana. She was so lovely, nice and listen to me carefully and she ask for forgiveness behalf her team mate so I give 5 stars because of her.. they need more staff like her to be honest and she also offer me something for the bad moment and she brought quick the Hash to me. “I had heard a lot of good things about Pataterie Hulloise, but I honestly wasn’t sure if it would live up to the hype. I decided to stop by and order a small poutine just to test it out for myself.

People were not exaggerating. The poutine was absolutely excellent — fresh fries, great gravy, and cheese curds that were on point. Easily the best poutine I’ve had in Gatineau so far.

Safe to say I’ll definitely be back. Next time I’m trying the hotdogs.”

“I have not been there in over 30 years. My Dad started taking me there when I was a teenager, and I spent many great nights there well into my late 20s. Always a great time, playing darts, shooting pool, sittin with friends having a few cold ones and heading there on the weekends to listen to what ever band was playing and dancing the night away.
I will have to go back there and do some reminiscing over a cold beer the next time I am back up that way. GOOD TIMES!!”
