“Disappointed. The food was mediocre and a little pricey. Husband and son had the steak burger which was small and not very well seasoned. Wait staff was very nice. Ambiance is pleasant.”
“My Fiancé and I had our first experience at Hen of the Wood in Burlington, what an incredible time we had! We just got engaged and had to celebrate. I decided to get the pork loin, and it was delicious! My fiancé loved his steak. It was perfection. Our waitress was amazing and so thoughtful. She made sure we had everything we needed and was very helpful. the atmosphere was casual yet somewhat formal and we had a blast! Can't forget about how scrumptious those rolls were too! Definitely recommend !!”
“One of the best pies I’ve ever had with unmatchable service. As soon and you walk in you’re greeted by Emily who will take the best care of you. 10/10. Don’t be a fool. Tell Emily we said hi!”
“Our first time here to celebrate our anniversary and we’ll be back to celebrate a fine meal with great service and a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere anytime and soon! We appreciated Amy’s friendly service and Chef taking the time to chat. The food is unreasonably delicious and beautifully presented. This restaurant ranks as good as some Michelin restaurants we’ve been to throughout Europe and better than some! The prix fixe 3-course at $78 is well worth it. We loved everything! Super stand outs were the steak frites, lobster foie gras creme brûlée, lemon pie in a jar and the peach tart. Looking forward to our next visit!”

“Good pizza. Good service. Good atmosphere.
All the waiters were serving, both figuratively, and literally. Serving Brandy Melville realness in the best way possible.”
“We were the 1st couple to arrive last night with no reservations and were quickly seated. Both my husband and my dinners were excellent. I ordered the pork ribs and clams and my husband had the pork schnitzel. We really enjoyed it all as well as our cocktails. It was too dark in there for me, but I got through it!”
“Fantastic restaurant on Church Street in "downtown" Burlington. Great place to go with a group of friends for Mediterranean Mezze (small plates.. like tapas). Everything was high quality and perfect to share with around 3-4 people and while trying a larger variety of 5-6 different dishes... Or until you get full, but don't forget to leave room for dessert which were all delightful as well! The grilled halloumi cheese, Lamb Pide (Mediterranean flatbread with lamb sausage), brussel sprouts, shrimp tabil, lamb bun and Spanakopita were all great options to share.”

“Absolutely a must. If you are looking for a sweet little spot for fantastic comfort food, this is it. The people are so amazing and kind, they help me despite my health/dietary restrictions, this is a breakfast I get excited for. The food is so good, fresh, and the french toast is out-of-this-world fluffy. Looking for a meal made with love, look no further.”
“This is the place if you want the very best Pho Vermont has to offer. I've been coming here for almost 15 years and I've never had a bad meal. The food is always fresh and amazing. The staff is excellent and they offer wonderful customer service. Most of the employees have been working there for years (clearly a good sign) and they know how to take care of their customers. Love Pho Hong!!”
“Amazing food and atmosphere right on the water! Lobster roll was out of this world fresh! Truffle fries were amazing and the malt vinegar aioli wow!!!”
“The appetizer duck confit was die for! Definitely big enough for two. The entrée ossco bucco was the best I ever had. This was the special so make sure you ask! If I could give it more than 5 stars I would!!!”

“The Salmon bowl tasted great, though they missed the dressing on it which I had to ask for, and then I was quite surprised that the salmon was an added $15! That doubled the price of the bowl from $15 to $30 pre-tax—I could have sworn the menu said it was an extra $10. Had to run before I could ask about it. Enjoyed the food, but was disappointed by the cost. I trust that their beer is great!”
“Had an amazing afternoon at the tasting room! Both bartenders were incredibly knowledgeable and personable, guiding me through the tasting and helping me choose a few drinks. I ended up leaving with a great selection of Mad River products. If you're a bourbon or rum enthusiast visiting the Burlington area, this spot is a must-visit!”
“I absolutely love momos, delicious Nepali dumplings generously stuffed and seasoned with spices. I was very happy with the quality and taste of the food while visiting Laliguras in Burlinton.
The restaurant is a cute little spot off of Church St. A great place for a delicious and hearty lunch.”
“We were looking for a quick bite before a show at the Flynn center and stopped into Red Panda on a whim. I'm so glad we did- We sat at the bar and had a glass of wine and a beer, we split two appetizers and biryani, everything was delicious, and quick. Family owned, the nice young man who served us said his aunt and uncle were the owners. Highly recommend.”
“This restaurant has been our favorite for 20 years! We go several times a year and have never, ever had a bad experience. The staff is so knowledgeable and top notch. The food is superb (especially the sesame chicken dumplings and dry fried green beans…..and the cauliflower….and the lemon shrimp…..and if there’s any fish specials….)”

“We had a wonderful meal with our UVM student granddaughter. Terrific service, delicious food. Our granddaughter said she’d come with her friends for drinks too. I guess it’s hip also!”

Takeout Restaurants
“I went there with my gf as a camping trip and a birthday trip. Kerry's awesome, her staff is awesome and the place was filled with games. Food was good too and staff was available for questions and was really kind. I couldn't recommend enough this place if you ever visit Burlington, VT.”
“The food is best described as "OK" (though I guess that makes it authentic British food, eh?) - one of the sandwiches of all time!
Where these guys shine is the service. They're always friendly, accommodating, and fast. Extensive menu options, as well. Good if you need a quick sandwich and don't want anything fancy, or to spend an arm and a leg on a sub that's tiny and overpriced, this is a great option!”
“We had a delightful meal tonight at Bourbon Street restaurant in Burlington, Vermont. Chef Richard is the host, chef and owner. He was a pleasure to meet, the food was delicious and the desserts were fantastic. This is a cozy little Mecca in Burlington. We felt like we were welcomed into Richard’s home. We are happy that we were able to get reservations. The food has various little twists that provided gastronomical delights.”
“The food in this restaurant is amazing. It is also amazing to sit a the chef’s bar and watch them cook up close while you eat. Awesome restaurant, will definitely be coming back”
“Great spot, great beers and friendly service. A nice place to enjoy a drink by the lake front in Burlington. We’ll be back next time for sure!”

“I visited this place recently and overall had a good experience. The location is nice, with a beautiful outdoor view that really adds to the atmosphere. Parking is limited though, with only a small space available, including a small bike parking/locking area.
The burger was juicy and very good in taste, but it seemed like it was prepared a bit in a rush. The ingredients were falling out between the buns, giving it a slightly unfinished look. With a little more attention to presentation, it could have been excellent.
The best part, however, is the ice cream – it’s high quality and makes for a perfect treat after the meal.
Overall, the place has potential, and with the good food, ice cream, and great view, it’s definitely worth a visit.”
“Two of us stopped in for a late lunch. The place was packed. Hungry customers ranged in age from babies to senior citizens. They offered indoor and outdoor seating. We chose to sit inside, as the day was blazing hot. I ordered the fish tacos, which were delicious. They only had two alcoholic drink options: Corona and their cocktail of the day. This is a very fun and pleasant place to eat. Highly recommended.”
“We have been to many of the regular Burlington breakfast spots up Pine, down Church and back on Shelburne. I just had the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had outside of my kitchen. It may seem simple, but getting it just right with a freshly fried
super tasty egg (yes, a good fresh egg has a taste), crispy bacon, real cheese, and for my choice, a fresh bagel all just right is joy. The friendliness and industrious staff too it off. This is a special place.”

“Wow! We've been loyal Tiny Thai customers for years, but decided to try Suvi's because it's so much closer. The rice is fluffy, the vegetables are cooked perfectly. Very fresh tasting. Love the yellow curry dish, the stir fried chicken with cashews and pad thai are sooo good. And the spring rolls and crab ragoon are just lightly fried. Deelish. Husband wife team are super nice. New favorite place for take out.”
“I ordered two shrimp tacos for $12 amazing a mushroom soup that was outstanding and I bought two more to go. It was amazing the soup was. The mixed drinks were reasonable price a person named Thomas was amazing bartender he was fabulous. I would recommend to go here to eat. It’s very good feeling good atmosphere food.”
“Visited Sat 23rd August. For me, this is the best brewery in Burlington. I really enjoyed it. It's residential - so you get to meet locals and regulars rather than people holidaying from New Jersey etc if you go out in the Church street/Lakefront area.
I liked their Hefe, and they have a quirky beer that smells of bacon! There's a pizza place adjoining where you can get good pizza too. RECOMMEND.”
“The Pinery was the perfect addition to our wedding. The trailer was ideal for our venue due to limited space inside for a bar. The staff was flexible and friendly leading up to our wedding and the day of.The Pinery worked with us to create a bar menu that was a hit with our guests. We were able to create a menu with his and her cocktails and other cocktails to appease all guests. The team was also very helpful at recommending beers, wines, and nonalcoholic beverages. The prebatched cocktails (margarita, bees knees, whiskey sour) were all such a hit with our guests that we still receive compliments months after the wedding. The team even went as far as setting aside some of the his and her cocktails to ensure we had some before they were all gone and holding onto an egg white to make me a proper whiskey sour before the end of the night. We look forward to working with The Pinery again in the future and cannot recommend them enough for a wedding bar service.Carsen & Taylor”
“Just found this place while walking up and down Church St. So happy I did. Walk in and order at the counter. The employee was super nice and friendly. They have lots of sandwich options or you can build your own. The sandwich was massive! $13 with a bag of chips and it was well worth the price. I had turkey with fixings and the meat was half the sandwich. They do not skimp! It was exactly what I was looking for. I only had half because it was so big, so easily shareable if you like that. The leftovers were just as good!”
“Best creeemee I've had in Vermont, only close second for me is palmer maple and that's a hike! Prices are good, fun flavors, open in the winter which is a public service in Burlington, bless you little Gordo!!!! No indoor seating though so prepare to have chilly hands”
“The restaurant has a classy atmosphere, very clean, and the service is great! All the food tasted very fresh, the steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly. We really enjoy our meal here and will definitely be coming back!”
“Was so excited when I heard Fancy’s was getting a restaurant space and it goes above and beyond with vegan food. Each dish was so unique and perfectly flavored and cooked, wonderfully fresh flavors and local produce!”

“Bartenders Will and Jayden did a fantastic job. Service was quick and prompt. The food was even better. I don't know what this place is paying them but this place should pay them more. Excellent service. Hip atmosphere job well done 👏 Shane”
“A-mazing. Some of the best flavors I've had in a long time. deelish”

“Some great cider options including several non-alcoholic options and everything between very dry and sweet. Over a dozen cider styles. Our favorites were the Juicy Hazy and the Unified. The fried cheese curds were exceptional and made from local Vermont cheese.”

“We have been coming here since 1986 when it was a tiny spot that let us teenagers sit and drink coffee all day. They are one of Burlington’s oldest and most loved restaurants, known for their early bird Bistro dinner that serves French classics like Beef Bourgignon, Steak Frites and even gluten free Cavatappi Carbonara. Tonight it was snowing hard and the restaurant was still full and the service was terrific. It’s our go-to place for the last 35 years and I’m grateful they are still around.”

“We had a 5:30 PM reservation on a Saturday night for four. We were actually seated about 5-10 minutes early at an outside table (our preference) with everyone enjoying their selected entrees. The waitress was excellent...personable with detailed information about the daily and seasonal specials while providing timely service and ensuring patron satisfaction. All-in-all a very enjoyable evening with tasty food.”
“Every bite was amazing taste experience! We are do happy to have this restaurant in our neighborhood!”
