“I stumbled upon this place about two months ago, and I’m so glad I did!

First off, the chef is incredibly down to earth and friendly. You can tell he’s truly passionate about what he does and it absolutely shows in his food. Hands down, this is the best chicken I’ve ever had. The flavors are amazing, everything is fresh and it’s all made to order.

I wish I had a photo to share, but the food is so good I never even get the chance to take one before digging in! This has quickly become a weekly lunch date for my husband and me and we look forward to it every time.”

The bratwurst is perfect with the kraut and horseradish. The smoked bison is a bit on the dry and spicy side. Reminds me of a Slim Jim. I wish I tasted more bison, but it's still good. The herbed goat cheese and lavash bread is to die for! The herbs are perfectly balanced with the cheese and spreads so easily on the bread!All paired perfectly with Zin-phomaniac red wine!”

“We initially tried to come here on a Friday at 7 PM but there seemed to be a long wait so we decided to check it out on a Wednesday and we only had to wait about 10-15 minutes for a table. This location was originally a Taco Bell, but I love the atmosphere there, friendly, good service and comforting food! It's a cozy place perfect for a cold wintry day to have your own little boiling hot pot of tasty broth and hubby and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals! Hubby ordered the Lau Pork Bone Marrow and I had the Lau Oxtail. I ordered the Oxtail without the tripe, just more oxtail! The hot pot came out boiling with oxtail and beef balls. All I had to do was cook the egg noodles, taro, tofu, cabbage, veggies into the soup as there was plenty of delicious oxtail and meat balls in the delicious broth! Great for a bone chilling night! Next time I'd love to try the shaken beef!”

Each of us chose 2 sandwich flavors and a pot of tea. I got the flowering tea, it has a mild flowery taste and is visually pleasing. Sandwiches were an interesting experience. The coconut jam was surprisingly good. I personally got the meatfloss and the turkey with Brie and fig jam. The turkey was somewhat sweet. The scone was good too, along with the savory canapé. Dessert was good. I’ll have to come back again with my spouse and friends next time.”

Stopped by for Saturday lunch and tried the fried chicken with fried rice. Fried chicken came with a flaky breading. The fried rice was very tasty. The dish came with a little sweet chili dipping sauce for the fried chicken. Complimented the chicken nicely.

The brunch items looked pretty good. Next time, I may try the french toast.

We got out and pushed the car into the nearest parking lot which happened to be neptunes. We had just bought a used car in the neighborhood and was trying to make it home and the battery just died. We spent some time pulling out the battery and ran next door to the auto parts store to buy a new one. Out of the blue an employee walked us out some water and said “I saw you out here and it’s hot. Wanted to give you some water and ask if you needed help. “ blown away by his kindness I thanked him but we had it covered. Once we got the battery replaced I decided to get breakfast from Neptune’s to show my thanks for their hospitality. Wow was I blown away. The breakfast was amazing , the coffee on point and the hospitality was unmatched. I give 5 stars for all in. My youngest son said. That guy is a good man! And I agree if you’re looking for good service and great food. Stop here! You won’t regret it.”

As a woman I always felt safe as they had their eye on everything going on, and I always had a blast anytime I came. Specifically, Peppi and Michelle, really went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. I had to move away and they spent money out of their own pockets to throw my a going away party at the bar. I have never experienced a closeness like this to an establishment where I’m a guest, and it was very appreciated. “We visited Alameda in April to attend a celebration of life for a family member that we lost suddenly. Our family was in town from all over the country, and we found Cafe Jolie Petit near our hotel. They took such great care of us, fed us meals on three or four consecutive days, and we could not have asked for better service or food during an emotional time. Pastries (Koiugn Amann!), Monte Cristo, and the coffee bar were our favorites, but everything we had was delicious. “As the namesake implies, it's just your average blue collar type 'corner' bar, and that's part of the charm. Not trendy, not bougie, great modern jukebox with priority streaming of your favorite songs, for a slight fee of course. Would you have ever imagined that one day your childhood jukebox experiences that forged statements like "ugh, who put this one on? they probably already left and now we have to listen to this cr@p before our song" and to further shape our complaint into creative criticisms to "one day manifest our desired wishes for the day we could override and be played next"... Well friends that day had come! Ok, it's been around a while now but I don't go out very often so it's new news to me and you know what Gary Gnew said? " No gnews, is good gnews, this is Gary Gnew, goodnight". The peeps are mellow, the drafts are cold, they have a decent billiard table with a sign up board (formerly this was a couple quarters shoved under the lip on the table) and it's only $1.00 a game and there isn't some hot shot hogging the table making themselves feel good by running the table against people just trying to have a good time.”

“Was looking for a place to eat on my birthday new years day, my stepbro picked it out, he said he ate there 20 yrs ago, I was reluctant as it looked outdated and empty,but I was surprised when the food came in quickly, the staff was friendly and the plates of food were huge! I kept asking my bro if he accidentally ordered family size, nope. We ordered egg rolls, 1 order must have had 10 pieces! Delicious spare ribs, wonton soup, honey walnut prawns (jumbo!) Mongolian beef, they gave us almond cookies instead of fortune, that was a nice change,there was so much food leftover to take home, I'll be going back, I don't know how they can afford to give so much for so little $, very reasonable.the only thing was the place was so cold, we were both freezing. no heat!”

“We just went for our 3rd visit over the weekend, and they have hit the mark for me every time.

Our first visit back in December had a bit of a wait as there were many big parties, but it honestly wasn't bad/long. Other visits have had no waiting times.

Order at the counter or on your phone from QR codes on your table - there's a big menu on one wall and typical menu sized copies at the counter. The staff is overall great - there's a particular young man who treats us so well and gets us whatever we need every time.

The music can definitely be on the louder end and varies, but it completely adds to the experience! I love that I feel like I can let a wall down, do my little happy dances in my seat, and enjoy their delicious food and drinks.

We absolutely love: the garlic noodles, the chicken wings (with General Tsos sauce) are out of this world, the Monkey King fried rice, and we just tried their calamari which was delish!

I ordered a Matcha ice cream crepe and my friends got Berry Bliss — plus an ice cream float that I didn’t get a pic of. The cashier gave us plates and spoon and said “You’re going to need this for when the ice cream melts!” Which was pretty funny and unexpected. It saved us though, because that ice cream will melt and drip from the bottom of the crepe cone.

10/10 taste! We got here at around 8pm, so it wasn’t too busy. They also have a little photoshoot area with props and accessories.”

“I've gotten food here before and it was good. This time I came in on Sunday for the beignets. There was no filling inside so it was alright. The young black guy and Asian girl was very nice as well as Hispanic man who's the cook. Some good folks here, I'll be back. Definitely recommend.”

“The staffs were nice. We were greeted and offered seats right away.

What we ordered:
Seafood Pancake- It was pretty good, a bit thicker than other places and sauce was okay.

Donkatsu- The pork was good and portion was good for the price.

Pork Belly BBQ- It was a tab dry and a bit bland. Wasn’t my favorite.

Banchan- The plates are cute but made the portion of banchan very small. Banchan were good, we had to ask for extra.

Would come again if I’m in the area and try something different.”
