“Sooooo good! Just had dinner tonight and can honestly say the food and service NEVER disappoints!”
“It was my time here and the service was amazing and the steak was the best Filet I ever had !!”
“Great food, inventive cocktails, and friendly, knowledgeable service. One of the very best restaurants in Detroit for over a decade.”

“We had a wonderful experience at Bar Pigalle. Our server Claire could not have been more gracious and accommodating to our needs and everyone had such a wonderful time. The menu, wine and cocktail list is exceptional, and everyone enjoyed what they ordered including several shared meals.”
“everything was very good, we sat at the bar and McKenzie took really good care of us, a must try spot!”
“Wow. What an absolutely fantastic final dinner of 2023! After we managed to find a late dinner reservation for New Year's Eve, it was a relief to discover that our excitement about the tasting menu was well-placed. I would definitely recommend the drink pairings as well! The amuse-bouche featuring oysters from the West and East coasts was a delightful way to splash into the meal. The wasabi and the mangosteen featured in each of the oysters, respectively, complimented the beautiful brine of the oysters in such a wonderfully playful way. This first tasting urged us to pause the menu progression and order an extra dozen oysters to explore the other possibilities. Tasting from Vancouver to Prince Edward Island, they were beautifully prepared and of excellent quality. The first course of lobster salad felt like a summer in Maine. Not that I've ever been to Maine, but the imaginary scene flashed across my vision as I took that first refreshing bite. The grapefruit emulsion worked almost majestically with the light, refreshing flavor of the lobster salad. The tapioca chip was perfect for the crunch to fully bring the different elements of the dish together. A fascinating intersection of refreshment and comfort. The second course was the potato pavé. I'll be thinking of this potato often for the foreseeable future. It was one of those dishes that makes your eyes pop open a bit when you bite it as you realize how good it is. A beautifully layered and seared rectangle of flaky delicious potato resting with a lovely salsa brava speckled with trout roe, topped with tarragon, cured trout, and black truffle flakes. I don't even know what else to say. It was stunning. Sea urchin buttered ramen, the third course, will always be what I wish my at-home thrown-together ramen could be. It was rich, it was luscious, it was comforting. Growing up in southeast Texas, crawfish boils were always some of the most exciting times of the year. The crawfish tails in the ramen brought me back to those summer days eating crawfish with a cold beer. The duck breast for the fourth course was exceptionally cooked. It was juicy and flavorful and made a perfect bite with a bit of cauliflower, raisins, apricot, agrodolce, and foie-sauce. Each bite was such a symphony of flavor that kept me coming back. Last but absolutely not least was the gâteau ardéchois: the chestnut cream cake. Accompanied by cranberry coulis and crispy meringue bites, this dessert was a sweet but still mellow finish. While the coffee mascarpone ice cream was a robust and complementary flavor, we both agreed the vanilla coconut ice cream was the star between the two. Thank you again to the stellar crew at Mink! Happy New Year!”

“This was the best cooking class my friends and I have ever taken. Erica made making pierogi seem easy and like something we could actually do at home. The class was well structured and easy to follow along with. We were given time to practice and learn while Erica was there to also ensure that everyone went home happy and with at least 2 dozen delicious pierogi! We are excited to hopefully take more classes here soon!”
“Absolutely delicious 🖤 Go now!!”
“Pretty good food and I enjoyed the atmosphere. Our server was a spectacular. Unfortunately the bar service was slow so our server had to apologize 2 or 3 times for not delivering our cocktails earlier. They took quite a while. My margarita was too tart for my liking but my hubby enjoyed his (some spin on an old fashioned)
It seems the menu selections are not really for your average Mexican cuisine diner. A bit pricey for no reason at all. I probably wouldn't come here again by choice but if someone else invited me, I'd return.
My husband got the half chicken and I got the steak, both were pretty good and came with veggies and house made corn tortillas which were great for making little tacos. Use the accompanying salsas on the menu, they boost the flavor of the entrees. Parking around this place is not the easiest.”
“I honestly don't know why it has taken me so long to write a review for Alpino because my husband and I love this place so much! It has become my restaurant of choice to celebrate my birthday for many reasons. I love that they keep the beautiful patio open even during the hottest of days (which is usually what it is for my July birthday), they have the best seasonal menu additions that use local ingredients, and their laid back yet elegant charm is exactly what we always look for. The food is amazing! We love unfussy food that lets the quality ingredients shine and the raclette with a touch of honey just makes me grin from ear to ear (not to mention the tomato soup that is out of this world). The Frulingzauber "spring magic" cocktail is my favorite of all time. I would drink one every day for the rest of my life if I could. Of course, none of this would matter if the people weren't wonderful at Alpino, but they are just as warm and inviting as the food. I loved that they all signed a birthday card for me when we were there last. This is definitely a gem of a place that you don't find everywhere.”

“Having recently dined at Mad Nice, with an exceptional waitress Alaina, at an upscale Italian-inspired establishment nestled in Detroit’s vibrant Midtown at 4120 Second Ave, I find myself compelled to share an erudite reflection on what proved to be a most memorable culinary experience. This restaurant, a venture by Heirloom Hospitality Group, masterfully intertwines the rustic charm of Italian tradition with a modern, coastal California sensibility—an ambitious fusion that, on this occasion, delivered a resounding success. What truly distinguishes Mad Nice, however, is its outstanding customer service—a rarity in an era where such attention can sometimes wane. The staff, from the warm hosts to the attentive servers, exuded a genuine passion for their craft. Our waitress, Alaina, was nothing short of exceptional—her humor and knowledge enriched the evening, as she anticipated our needs with an almost preternatural finesse, ensuring that water glasses remained filled and recommendations flowed freely. My sister Alaina’s evident pride in her work elevated the meal from excellent to extraordinary, making her a standout memory of the night. In sum, Mad Nice is a culinary gem that not only meets but exceeds the lofty expectations set by its stylish veneer. The food is delicious, the choices abundant, the drinks sublime, and the service—thanks in no small part to Alaina—unparalleled. I wholeheartedly recommend it to locals and travelers alike, and I, for one, shall make it a ritual to return whenever my journeys bring me back to this dynamic city. Mad Nice is not merely a restaurant; it is a destination, a delightful paradox of “mad” ambition and “nice” execution that lingers long after the last bite.”

“We visited Sicily’s today and it was delicious! I was impressed by the sour dough. Everyone was so nice and accommodating. A man walked around checking on us so I told him I saw a review of the restaurant and had to bring my husband for his birthday. A little later he called my son over to the register where he gave him some cookies for the birthday boy. He also showed us his started sour dough which was 8 years old. So cool! The pizza, bread, Greek salad, and meatballs were great!”
“I can't possibly say enough good things about Chef Omar, and his restaurant! Not only is the food amazing - incredibly imaginative, then executed flawlessly - the people are warm and inviting. I can't believe it took us this long to find one of the best dining experiences we've had in Detroit. I hope you will find it much sooner. Like . . . go now. You'll thank me!”

“So good! The octopus was the best octopus dish I've ever eaten - it was so tender with a slight crisp and so flavorful. I didn't even get a picture before we dug into it. The pork collar was a great blend of textures and flavors - I got extra bread just to have a delivery vehicle for the peach conserva in this dish. The croquettes were a must too, they packed so much mushroom goodness in them. We got 3 small plates and 4 large plates, which was more than enough for 4 people. Will be coming back again.”

“Get the salmon, its amazing. Atmosphere is beautiful, especially around the holidays. Rose remembered us from our last visit, and took great care of us. Skylar was our waitress and she didnt miss a beat. They made our experience wonderful and thats why we will be back with our friends visiting from NYC in two weeks. We want to show them that Detroit is just as festive.”

“Every time is the best time at Parlay Detroit! This isn't just a sports bar - the food and service is fine-dining, but with a live-DJ and incredible atmosphere. They also have a downstairs speakeasy and soon a cigar lounge. Detroit has needed a place like this for far too long.”
“Great night out. The food was terrific especially the salmon kabob and the white bean and arugula.
Excellent wine selection and the sommelier made the perfect recommendation for us.
For an open space restaurant it was well suited for a “quiet” meal and easy conversations.
The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and well timed attentive.”
“The waitstaff was super helpful, answered all our questions, and explained the dishes. The drinks were beautiful, and the pork and chicken used in the Yakitori turned out sooo succulent. They had a great variety of options: Yakitori, Ramen, rice bowls, and salads. We even had some specialty seafood--sea urchin--that you can't find commonly elsewhere.”
“I just spent a week drinking through some of the best cocktail bars in Tel Aviv and was reminded how none of them come even close to the amazing cocktails that the Kevin, Kyle, and the rest of the Castalia team come up with! Each visit to Castalia, be it your first or one thousandth, is magical and wonderful!”
“This restaurant is beautiful. The service was friendly. The food is high quality french inspired cooking well executed. So, the food is great. Thank you, Le Supreme, for making my Detroit date night dinning experience wonderful.”

“We were craving some greasy street style food so we thought to give this Halal Coney Island a shot. First of all, the food was beyond our expectations. I got a turkey burger and naga dog and my husband got a chicken tikka over rice. 10/10 for EACH DISH. This is now my go to spot now for Detroit. The menu has everything from nachos to breakfast. The staff is very friendly and know their menu well. The restaurant is very clean and you can tell they take pride in their business.
Definitely a hidden gem.”
“Amazing food! So great, no matter what i write here could surmount to the generations old technique applied here. Simple. Nothing over the top. No gimmicks, AT ALL. A surprising lack of gimmicks, is very inviting, along with the prices! Which if you’re one your way home from a night on the town, and seeing those stadium prices. Its like a step back in time. When everything was simpler and made more sense. God bless Telway!”
“After reading several reviews, it left me hesitant about going to Iridescene, however I'm glad that I did not let that deter me. Everything we ordered, from the wine and dine menu was delicious. The chicken breast was tender enough to cut with a fork. And the mashed potatoes were very tasty and well seasoned. I would recommend this place.”
“Support small business! Honestly being the foodie, hospitality enthusiast that I am... I highly recommend this restaurant the owner who’s also the server was amazing her daughter(about 8) was her helper and it was amazing. The food was ideally seasoned and you get the feel of the “D” with this experience. The menu was also well priced and the meal size was great. The plantain rum dip was to die for. Not to mention, proper social distancing efforts, available hand sanitizer and for you smokers... ashtray and ability to do so. I loved it and enjoyed myself. Looking forward to my next Detroit visit where I visit the Alley Deck.”
“My sister and I made reservations for Friday evening. We had an amazing time! Brittany was our server and she was absolutely the best! She had plenty of recommendations for us and helped us choose our drinks with ease. We ordered the shrimp cocktail, salmon deviled eggs, and chicken wraps. We both agreed the deviled eggs were the best thing. We had a perfect spot in the corner on the terrace where we could look down and see the Circle. The only issue with that was the view.. multiple people came over To stand to look or take pictures which was sort of awkward. There was a dj and the atmosphere both outside and in was spectacular . You will spend a pretty penny but I would definitely recommend checking them out.”
“Chill cool vibes. Always quick and easy only once they told me no when they were still open but it was like close to close so that's my fault. Real quick service and tasty especially between classes or when I wanna step out for a bit. They're in a gas station so lots of sblnack and drink ”
“First the chicken pita add bacon is amazing! The woman working the counter tonight was very sweet and lovable lol. But yall need to add a tip option for the ones paying with card or add an atm inside!! I had no cash and had to tip in literal quarters thats not cool.”
“I recently stopped in for a couple of loose burgers. The order was filled quickly. And the food was terrific! The ground beef was seasoned very well, and the chili was perfect. One of the first things I noticed about Detroit after moving here from California is that Coney Island restaurants are everywhere. I get it now, and I will come back to Olympia Coney Island for more loose burgers. Highly recommended!”

“We had a great time! The sushi, Raspberry Michigan dessert, service, and my drop drink were absolutely delicious! The music and service from Iyanna were amazing, and then Chef Sebastian came out to introduce himself to us. Such a fantastic experience overall—you won’t regret going there for a special occasion! ❤️”

“This place is awesome. The service is incredible. But the food was even better! The interior of it takes you back to a simpler time. Family owned and operated. The server was the sister of the cook. The coney dogs didn’t stand a chance. Fries were so crunchy and delicious. While there, the folks sitting to the left of me ordered breakfast. I’m definitely coming back just based off of how good their hash browns looked. 10/10. Definitely coming back!”
“The pizza is AMAZING! I think I can easily say this is the best Detroit style pizza I have ever had. I first discovered them at pop up they had near Campus Martius, but finally got to go to their new home on Holden. The interior is pretty small, so not best for big groups but a date night or for a party of two is just fine. I wish it was closer to me so I could get take out. We got the Packard Pepperoni and the Mclovin pizza. Both were excellent, I loved the origniality of the Mclovin which was a nod to like a big mac. Anytime I can go again, I definitely will be. Check out this gem if you want to really know what Detroit style pizza is like.”
“We tried the Detroit Pepper Company tonight, first time! We went with the Detroit Stuffed Pepper, beef with parmesan cheese. Very good taste, and huge. We also ordered the Vegan Stuffed Pepper, but we will have to try it tomorrow for lunch...too full from the Detroit Stuffed Pepper! We also tried the lentil bean soup, very nice. And my wife enjoyed the Mango Tastic smoothie:-) We're happy to learn about the Detroit Pepper Company, and we'll be back. Highly recommended. A very clean take-out only place, with good food and a very friendly staff.”

“We made a 6:30 pm reservation online for my wife'sbirthday. Someone called to confirm the reservation within minutes and confirmed we were celebrating a birthday. Which was strange because no one ever said Happy Birthday! That aside we had the best dinner. Our server Shelly was amazing. She gave great recommendations and history on the restaurant. We visited the restaurant under the former owners but the new owner updated everything. Shelly even let us know about the windows in the hall where we were able to see the chefs making food, and the dry aging meat was neat to see. We had crab cakes, wedge salad, French onion soup, Aged Ribeye and Halibut. We couldn't eat another bite, so we ordered the chocolate flour less cake and it was an enormous piece that we enjoyed two nights! Great evening. It was dinner and experience! I forgot to mention the jazz band was a lot of fun too!”

“I am not a food critic. But I have the time while flying back home to reflect on dinner last night. The experience was so amazing that I had to leave a glowing review. I seldom take the time to do so.
Marrow is top shelf dining experience. My friends and I went all in with the food paring ($90) and drink paring ($45) options. Pricey but well worth it. 3 small but flavorful starters, a wonderful pear salad, a chorizo and gnocchi dish head of the main event… a 7oz flat iron steak cooked to perfection over a bed of lightly smoked and tender pinto beans finishing with a single scoop of chestnut ice cream. But that was just the food. The drinks were carefully paired with each course. 5 in total. Each one balanced bitterness, sweetness, and acid with each course. My mouth was alive as if it had been raised from the dead. It was so amazing that I forgot to mentally note each drink so I could describe them in the future.
This place is a diamond in the rough. I only wish I had met the chef and the team behind the incredible experience.
I am from Los Angeles and have plenty of great places to dine. My visit to Detroit to watch my friends compete in an indoor track bike race was punctuated be this celebratory dinner.
If you love incredible food with thoughtfully pared drinks, I cannot recommend Marrow enough.”
“Brought my Pregnant wife here after she was craving something fresh and I rolled the dice by coming here!! SHE LOVED IT and so did the Baby 😊 the salad was fresh and the citrus chicken wrap was light and tasty. We finished with a little sweet snack the banana strawberry Nutella toast! Amazing!!
Manager and staff were super friendly and helpful explaining everything to us!! We'll be back for sure!!”
“Tonight I attended a wedding at C & G and could not be more impressed, and also pissed at myself for not patronizing this welcoming restaurant sooner. I’m lactose intolerant and allergic to chicken. The staff was incredibly accommodating and gracious. This is not often a feeling I receive when bringing up food allergies. The food & drinks were so incredibly tasty and the views were unreal. The Train station, spires of St Anne’s and the Ambassador Bridge all in one shot. Turn to the left and you have the beautifully landscaped Roosevelt park to stroll through after enjoying the back porch. I’m so blown away, and so happy my friend finally got me here! Thank you for a dreamy night.”
“Great service. Great food. We had the sausage/cheese platter, and their pretzels. Pretty tolerant of two Kentucky boys who hit the beer pretty hard the two nights we dropped in. The place had a good crowd both nights. Nice little pub. If I'm ever up that way again, it'll be one of my first stops.”
“Run, don’t walk to Mitsos! Not only is the food to die for, the Greek iced coffee will be your new addiction. But here’s the best part…the family. Walk in once and Irene I’ll know your name and remember it. Quality food. Quality people. Thank you for always making Noah and I feel special❤️❤️”
“Celebrated my wife's 33rd birthday dinner here. Atmosphere is amazing food was also amazing. You can't find a dinner spot with better views in Detroit as the sun is setting.”
“Wonderful place to go for a special occasion. The entertainment is always top notch. The food was absolutely delicious and the entire staff at the top of their game!”
“My cousin wed their beautiful bride last night and their original post wedding brunch location fell through at the last minute. Groups of us came through right as Supergeil opened. Now let me tell you, they moved mountains to host our celebration. The food was incredible and the warm hummus was some of the best I’ve ever had. Thank you thank you thank you for today! Cheers 🍸 10/10 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
Fine Dining
“I can’t say enough about our dining experience! This restaurant is on my TOP list here in Nashville and I will now frequent. Everything from start to finish was superb! Our waiter Sid was nothing g more than AMAZING and the manager was very nice and came by to say hello! The FOOOOOD was SO good it’s definitely worth it!!”
“Slow slow service from bar . One person in our party who was celebrating his birthday ordered a martini that was terrible and he sent it back k and it didn't come til main course came . Had several appetizers/ salad and they had servers picking up our plates and taking our silverware but when main course came we had none and waited 5 minutes til we could flag someone down to get some . Had 2 nice bottles of wine and by the time we got the second one that we ordered before dinner , we were done w dinner . Food mostly good.”
“I just spent a week drinking through some of the best cocktail bars in Tel Aviv and was reminded how none of them come even close to the amazing cocktails that the Kevin, Kyle, and the rest of the Castalia team come up with! “Mike’s Famous Ham Place made the New York Times list of “The 26 Best Dishes We Ate Across the U.S. in 2024”. Definitely deserving of all the attention!! I luv ham, but usually it’s too salty for my taste and for my kidneys. But we had breakfast there today and the ham was absolutely perfect!! Super tasty, not salty, huge portions! - hand-carved from a whole ham right in front of you. Perfect eggs and good coffee, too. It’s a small place, as in like very small – just a row of swivel chairs set against your typical vintage (but clean and well-maintained) diner counter. Friendly folks behind the counter and friendly customers, too! Check it out sometime. And btw they sell ham bones for soup: $5 a bag! PS they only take cash. I'm definitely going back.”
“Oh MAN Rocco's is the place I have searched for in vain until last year when I tried them for the first time. Since that first meatball sub I have had almost every sandwich on the menu and so far not one has disappointed! Today I had the Corner Deli and was transported to Italian paradiso! In case you non-Italians did not know, ciabatta is the Italian baguette and Rocco's bakes many fresh loaves several times per day! Usually it is still warm from the oven even if you get a cold sandwich! There is no better sandwich bread in my progenic-Italian opinion! They are in Midtown on Cass just East of Mack. Try them if you have yet to do so. You will thank the gods!”
“My husband surprised me for my birthday and got me an assortment of pastries that I love.
I’m always impressed by the attention to detail in each of Canelles decadent treats. From their beautiful presentation, all the way to balancing out different textures and flavor profiles, this is my favorite place to get treats for special occasions!”
“Great service and good coffee!
I had their Maple Shakerato and a brownie. The drink had the perfect level of sweetness once stirred, and the brownie was soft with rich chocolate chunks, really satisfying. The ambience was also great; the indoor seating area had a calm, cozy vibe. Most people were working or studying, so it wasn't too loud, perfect for relaxing or getting some work done.”
“The food here was amazing and the service was extremely attentive and welcoming. I cannot recommend this place enough today was my first time here and I will absolutely be back. Everything was so flavorful and cooked to perfection! Especially the meat dishes we had.”

“What a wonderful team, food, beer, cider! We are just so lucky to have had our daughters after wedding party here at Batch. Kimberly was a pleasure to work with during the planning and day of the event.
Stephen came to meet us and was essential in making sure we had “Polish, double smoked kielbasa “ for the event. It should be on the menu full time! Everything was delicious and fresh.
The Alabama white pulled chicken, pulled pork, pretzels, smoked meats charcuterie board, fresh fruit, double smoked Kielbasa ( so darn delicious) and the Kale Cesar salad.. all finished off by our Family and guests. Everyone loved the beer selection, the food and the vibe at Batch!
We have always been supporters of Batch Brewery, now we feel like they are part of the Family.
As always with Batch Brewery, just a wonderful , delicious experience! Thank you all for that.”
“This place is a complete culinary delight. I love the atmosphere, the sharable menu options and selection, and the amazing staff. If you want a truly unforgettable experience, try the chef’s table! Five stars every single time we’ve gone!”

“My friend and I had lunch at Coriander Kitchen and Farm yesterday 6/23. We came back because we enjoyed our first visit last year so much! However, at this visit the food was not so good. I ordered fish and chips and my fish was overcooked and the french fries were not hot. My friend ordered smelt which were awful and greasy which we sent back. We asked for lemon which never came to the table and our waiter seem to be the only one there and they were busy so I don't think we got the attention that we were due. I know this establishment can do better, so I will be going back. But yesterday's service and food were awful.”
“Best restaurant in Detroit Metro airport sit at the bar for first class service!”
“went for my sons birthday and had a wonderful dinner. From the staff to the drinks and the food everything was great.”
“I like to thank the staff at Andiamo especially Thelma who was our server.. Also, thank you Mike for stopping by to see if everything was good. Im glad that we had chosen that location to celebrate Rosalyn birthday”
“My son, who's moving to SanDiego, treated me there. He's been several times. Ambience, service, dinner and dessert were all excellent. Coffee was pretty darn good too. Can't go wrong!”
“New menu was amazing. We had the potatoes, the scallops, burrata, and mushroom with shiitake dish. Burrata was hands down my favorite, thing. Perfect combination!! Highly recommend everything I got and the service was perfect, I mean like I finished my water and by the time my glass hit the table it was refilled. This was actually my second time, I’ve been before for a friends birthday and we had a different menu…..the pomegranate ribs were mouthwatering delicious. Not to mention the atmosphere inside, I personally love plants and that’s the first thing you notice when you walk in the door. Check it out for yourself, you won’t be disappointed!!”
“We came to The Whitney for an early birthday dinner for my husband. I cannot say enough positive things about our experience there! The staff went above and beyond my expectations. The food was amazing and cost was much less than I would have expected for the caliber and presentation of our meals and dessert. For all of you paranormal afficionados, their Ghost Bar is a must. The owners of The Whitney have done so much to preserve this amazing estate in Detroit without any funding assistance from the government or grants. Please consider supporting them by being a patron the next time you are in Detroit.”
“Amazing food and great presentation overall! 10/10 recommend getting a sushi boat with larger parties. Every roll on that menu is delicious 😌”
“Everything and everyone was amazing, can’t wait to go back again”
“Been here a few times and it is one of my favorite places to visit in Detroit. The drinks and food rotate and every time I go I find a new favorite!”
“Never disappointed with anything I’ve ever had there and every time I bring someone to try it they absolutely love it.”
“Delicious homemade food… wonderful staff open air tables. Great service!”
“An absolute gem in Southwest Detroit! Went tonight with a party of six for my nephews birthday. Everyone raved about their meals. Hearty portions and reasonable prices! The service was 5⭐️.”
“Such a great vibe! We did a casual wedding welcome party here and can’t say enough good things about how wonderful this space is, how kind and accommodating the team was, and much everybody really enjoyed the beer (and wine)! This is a fantastic and classic Detroit spot and now one of our favorite breweries around!”
“We’ll be back. Everything was delicious. Great food and service.”
“The food and service was excellent!!! The stuffed salmon is a must!! The bartender customer service was impeccable.”
“Bday dinner party, I had the fried chicken, greens, amd mac/cheese.”
“I wanted my family and I to try a new & special place to celebrate my mom’s birthday, and this place was amazing. Beautifully plated, ultra-delicious, special flare, authentic food. Kind & friendly staff. Cool atmosphere, family friendly. Easy parking. Proud that this place represents our Mexican heritage. No gimmicks, everything about this place made me feel like I actually was in a modern day restaurant in Mexico.”
“We came to Detriot to see the NCAA D1 National wrestling tournament. We stopped in and had a great time. The beer, food, and environment were wonderful and we give them 5 stars. Look forward to coming back. Mechanicsburg PA folks”
“Excellent service, delicious food and it all happened under the red lighting. Be prepared to park on the street as the parking lot only has 6 or 7 parking spot.”
“We received Excellent Customer Service from our hostess Jasmine, who was awesome! The food was delicious and I loved the decor.”
“I visited this past Valentine’s Day weekend and visited again this past Saturday night. I didn’t have a reservation but still got seated very quickly. It was a hot, muggy night and the hostess said she had a seat on the patio which I was fine with. I had a magnificent server, Florence, who was kind, thoughtful to recommend a drink to the person I was with and even when our drinks were brought out within a short time, apologized for the delay (which wasn’t necessary). I wish I could give a review on the party next to us because they were extremely rude, not only not giving consideration to others being on the patio but were also incredibly rude to Florence. One woman in particular was grandstanding in front of this group and demanded to speak to a manager. Florence and the Manager were both composed and dignified in spite of a rude patron that was looking to get her bill comped (for a party of nearly a dozen people) going so far as to threatening to have everyone at her table write a terrible review. I have worked in the service industry and so have so many people I know and love so this situation had me worked up and I felt it necessary to write a review that our experience was magnificent. Don’t be an a-hole to servers of any kind just because you’re an a-hole yourself. If you give respect, you get respect. Go to The Sugar House. Be a good customer.”
“Stopped here before a concert at LCA last night - obviously busy, but wait wasn’t bad at all and we were able to get a drink at the bar and wait outside. I wish I could remember our servers name, but she was absolutely stellar! She was super friendly, funny and quick despite having a large section on a busy night. Got the shrimp tacos (AMAZING and filling - has a perfect amount of “kick”) and my husband got the hot chicken sandwich (the one small bite I was allowed was phenomenal) overall 10/10 experience!”
“Best place in Detroit and metropolitan area. A true dining experience. Not to be be missed.”
“Top-notch beers, friendly staff and incredible pizza. The outdoor patio is great for our dog!”
“My experience at Kampers Rooftop is always top-tier! I’ve always been treated with top-notch customer service from everyone there! A special shout out to Dominique, the bartender. He was exceptional. From the good conversation to the fantastic drink recommendations, this is definitely the place you want To bring friends and family.”
“Connor and Joe had great suggestions, were friendly and were amazing conversationalists. We opted for a wine flight. The wine they recommended was delicious and very reasonably priced by the bottle.”
“We have been to Spitiko Greek Taverna twice and it has been amazing both times. We had the Gyro Platter, the baked lamb, grape leaves with lemon sauce and Beeftekia and they were all very authentic and flavorful. Service has been great both times, with friendly and fast wait staff. We will definitely be back!”
“Our first time going to Aretha's Jazz Cafe and we truly enjoyed ourselves. The food was excellent and our server was truly great. The Core and their singer Marcel were an excellent fusion of R&B and Jazz. It was definitely worth the cost to attend. The venue is small and cozy.”
“What a beautiful place to take someone for lunch! The attention to detail and the delicious food can't be matched!”
“What a great spot! The vibes and music were good. The service was excellent…shout out Rachel. I’ll definitely be back. Gotta come back with my girls to hit the bar specials lol.”
“We pulled up on a Sunday ready to check this place out, but for some reason there was a sign on the door saying “Be back in 10 minutes.” We waited, and eventually a guy came and opened up. I’m guessing he was working solo, but when you’ve got a full day and you’re standing outside a shop that should be open, it’s not the funnest way to start.
Once inside, though, the vibe shifted. The shop had multiple chocolate selections, so we grabbed a six-pack and went with one of each flavor since it was our first time here. I also loved some of the other quirky products — chocolates shaped like floppy disks and clever giftable items with witty sayings that almost tempted us into impulse buying.
The guy behind the counter was super friendly and helped package everything nicely. That said, I’ll never understand tipping culture at candy shops — why does every checkout system now prompt you for a tip?
The space itself was very cute and inviting. There’s a lot of open room toward the back, but I’m guessing that’s reserved for production.
Now, the bonbons themselves? Fantastic. Presentation is stellar, flavors are fun, and it’s definitely something I’d buy again as a special treat or gift. But here’s the rub — the price. For what you get, it feels like a splurge. I’d gladly hand over five stars if it weren’t for the sticker shock.
Overall: A great spot with creative chocolates, friendly staff, and a cool vibe — just be ready to pay for the experience.”
“It was our first time in this place and Ibrahim made our experience so great!! He guided us on the menu and had amazing mixology skills. Will be coming back!”
“It was my first time here and it won't be my last the vibe was everything! We order food made with love and when I tell you need to return for the tikka mascara chicken w/naan bread and boy oh boy spicy 🌶 🔥 and delicious 😋”
“Always excellent food and staff is on top of it and very friendly. We love this place!”
“This place was amazing! The cocktails and ambiance was so cool!”
“Just enjoyed a delicious dinner before our show at The Fox. Relaxing atmosphere, great waitstaff, great food.”
“Absolutely enjoyed our time here., we were just passing by and found this place. Wish they had locations in other states or at least ship their Bourbon.
Loved their drink menu and their bottles, labels and design.
Definitely recommend stopping by if you’re near the area.”
“We had a great dinner date at Hamiltons after a reservation was cancelled on us, it was our first time and we will be back!”
“Had a great time last night at Brix. The customer service was phenomenal and the food was amazing . I had a strawberry tequila lemon drop and it was absolutely amazing !!! The ambiance and location are the best !!”
“I went early, it was kind of slow. The bartender is a custom, craft drink maker, my old fashion was delicious! They are selling very tasty Jamaican food there. I like the outside seating.”
“Super authentic, everything is made fresh and with expertise! We booked for our large group - Michigan Hypnosis Conference and they catered to our needs on multiple days with grace!”
“I highly recommend!!!!! We have visited a few times and never regret it. A small, welcoming space with big personality and delicious food and drinks (the espresso martini is my fave). I come for the vegan options so I don’t have to worry about my food allergies, but my family has enjoyed the non-vegan options as well. The environment is fun; Que is always wonderful to talk with and has so much to be proud of in what she has created here…and if you didn’t know - THEY ALSO CATER…and do cooking classes!!! Que’s daughter Kaitlin is great and I enjoy talking with her as well. We’ve been in for live dj and a loud, fun, diverse group of people. I love what Que’s got cooking here and she’s got a faithful customer for life! Happy to support her with my dollars and my words of encouragement and recommendations to others!”
“Our server Jazzman was great and very professional … on top of being “Stunning” Food was absolutely delicious ‼️”
“Went in for the first time. The employees were very sweet and friendly and the place itself was refreshing. Will be back again. The CLT was amazing and a life changing experience and the grape lemon juice 😋😋😋 also don’t forget to try their desserts.”
“Our server Mac and the manager Hunter were incredible! They were so kind, fast service, made sure we were taken care of the entire time. The food and drinks were fantastic and kitchen staff was super quick. Highly recommend The Eagle OTR!”
“From the moment we arrived, our experience was nothing short of amazing. The food was outstanding—every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was warm, friendly, and fun, making it the kind of place where you immediately feel comfortable and welcome. On top of that, the location is fantastic, with plenty of activities nearby to enjoy before or after your meal, which really added to the overall experience. The highlight of our visit, however, was our waitress, Ashley W. She went above and beyond in every way. Ashley anticipated our every need before we even had to ask, showing an attentiveness that is rare to find. She was friendly, personable, and very knowledgeable about the menu, which made ordering so much easier and more enjoyable. Her positive energy and genuine care turned what was already a great dining experience into something truly memorable. Ashley is, without a doubt, the main reason my family and I plan to return. Her service left such a lasting impression on us that we would gladly make the trip back to Michigan just to eat here again. It is rare to come across someone who takes so much pride in their work and makes every guest feel special, but Ashley did exactly that. She is an absolute asset to this restaurant, and we cannot thank her enough for making our visit exceptional.”
“Sunday Funday 🎉
I was just introduced to WP this summer 2025. The fish and chip 🥰 and others items I’ve nibbled from my friend’s plate were yummy. The Sunday live music 🙌🏽. Drinks are also perfect. Three visits already- in 2 months.”
“Such delicious Korean dishes. I enjoyed them so much (sampled my friend’s as well)—the broth was so tasty! They were so delicious I bought two Noodle dishes to go. They’re in the middle of nowhere—almost under the Ambassador Bridge, but I knew it was good as soon as we arrived because the parking lot was packed. Highly recommend!”
“Our server Emily was very attentive, warm and welcoming. She made us feel very comfortable. We highly recommend the rueben sandwich and THE STUFFED SQUASH! Hats off to the chef and Emily. Thank you for a wonderful experience. We will be back.”
“Amazing amazing amazing everything from when we were greeting til we left. It's was our anniversary and they made it so special. I can't recommend this experience enough.”

“The girl at the register is very nice and pleasant on the phone. The pizza was fantastic but the menu online needs to be updated. Every pizza on the list increased 35-45% in price which equates to $6-7 extra per pizza. The large cheese pizza is $19 not $13 the pepperoni is $22 not $15.”
“Been there two times now. Perfect neighborhood bar for folks in Brush Park. Food was very good and service was excellent. My wife and I are “Summer birds” . We reside in Arizona and reside in Brush Park when weather is good so it’s a perfect neighborhood place for a nightcap.”
“We had a rehearsal dinner for 40 people at Sheilds in Detroit and it was the best experience ever! The food was wonderful, the atmosphere was great and the staff were so awesome!!! When we got there everything was set up for us and they were very welcoming. The manager Jason was great, and had everything running smoothly. The wait staff…shout out to L & D we’re phenomenal! They were right there with refills, smiles, jokes and anything you needed. They made the experience so wonderful!!! I would recommend to anyone looking for a party venue, or just a dinner out to come eat here!! 5 stars!!!!!!”
“Originally from Michigan but now live in Florida. Went to Detroit for the weekend to attend Red Wings games. Looked for perch dinners and found Andrew’s. Absolutely awesome perch with a generous portion. Loved the atmosphere of the old time era. Staff exceptionally friendly as was the owner. Would definitely recommend this place and can’t wait to return. What I liked was the minimal breading so you have the true taste of perch. This is by far the place to go if you love perch.”
“We held a 50th birthday party for our daughter in the private room last Saturday evening. The service and the food was extraordinary. We had 50 attendees that included old and not so old. The banquet items were outstanding and the chef did a marvelous job of preparation and presentation. Passed appetizers were a hit with everyone. (I particularly liked the crab cakes) Sheila, Yen, Rex, and Kat provided the beverage service and passed the appetizers and drink orders with smiles and efficiency. While we didn't see much of the kitchen staff, Gil, Emeka, Chaona, and Aaron provided culinary treats that had all the attendees marveling at the variety and taste. And most helpful were Joanna and Paul, the proprietors. Thank you Common Pub for a most memorable evening and event!”
“My family and I decided to have our Christmas meal catered. I attended a bridal shower earlier in the year catered by Leroy’s and suggested to my family we try them for dinner. We ordered dressing, ham, mac & cheese, potato salad, and greens. They gave us an order of rolls. Everything was seasoned and flavorful. The mac & cheese was cheesy and delicious. The potato salad was some of the best I’ve had. The ham was juicy and tasty. You could taste the love in the dishes. The person that prepared our meal, enjoyed what they were doing and took pride in their creation. We’ll be back!”

“TSA and Delta agents are always so kind. We’ve had some pretty negative experiences with TSA being rude, impatient, and condescending for no reason at various airports, but never at DTW! Thank you for making the stress of traveling less stressful!”
“Everything about our visit was awful. from first being seated, to terrible service, to them not coming over to our table with different meats, to the meats that we did get being dry and over cooked, to other guests being rude to us. if you go never go to the Detroit location. 100% not worth your time or money.”

“I hadn't been to La Dolce Vita in a year or two. It was looking tired. It's been updated, redecorated by its new owner. It's now welcoming, quiet. The caprese salad, risotto of the day and the pasta Norma were excellent as was the service. Looking forward to returning!”

“Fantastic coffee & we so appreciate that you’re nut free! My teenage daughter has severe peanut & tree nut allergies and it’s very rare to find a place where she can get “fancy” coffee without the risk of cross contamination from nut milks/etc. I also appreciate the owner’s quick and thorough response when I emailed with questions. Highly recommend!”
“this place is a one stop shop to cure my ails.
wonderful atmosphere, incredible artwork, and perched in a perfect place for a mid-day change of pace. i’d bet my hot cocoa money that barista Adela is Joan of Arc reincarnated, & if you ask her about food in detroit, she is armed to the gills with informed recommendations t”

“If you are visiting the New Center area of Detroit or are looking for a new local coffee shop, you HAVE to check out Saturn Coffee! I think the best way to describe how great Saturn Coffee is would be to say that I've been there literally EVERY weekend since they opened at the end of August 2025! I usually can't go during the week due to my work schedule, but if I have a weekday off I'm there. Within a few weeks they already knew me by name and knew my go-to order!
Sarah and Chris, the owners, are the sweetest couple! They're very kind, friendly, warm, and funny. Their employees that work with them are all the same way! I've never had any problems with any of the staff, and they always make you feel welcome and at home in the coffee shop.
The interior is cute and quaint, but there is still plenty of seating and table space. It is a chill environment that makes it easy to do some work on the computer (they do have wifi), read, or even work on a crochet project (which I have done). It's even a great space to meet up with a significant other, family, or a friend to just hang out.
Every single drink my husband and I have had there has been amazing! My go-to is a caramel mocha latte with whole milk. During the summer it was iced, but I've recently switched to hot and it's delicious both ways. My husband is more adventurous, so I've had sips of his various drinks and enjoyed them all too! He's tried the hot brewed coffee, cold brew, cherry espresso coca cola, hot cocoa with oat milk, maple sea salt latte with oat milk (seasonal), and their Arnold Palmer.
We've also enjoyed the baked goods they offer. Their in-house biscuit and breakfast sandwiches are a good start to the morning. I don't know where they get the cookies they offer, but the brown butter chocolate chip cookie is delicious! I'm always tempted to get one when they have them available.”
“Quick answers: Damn good pizza
Damn good service
Damn good
The pizza is delicious! I love that they use fresh ingredients. The dough is crispy and buttery on the outside, soft on the inside and strong enough to hold the sauce and cheese. The cheese and sauce blend work so well with each other. The cheese blend doesnt over power the sauce and vice versa. Honestly, this pizza reminds me of my childhood pizza parties. It's some damn good pizza!
DESTINYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!! She is a POWER HOUSE! She was taking phone calls, and orders while still being attentive to me and my family. Shes the sweetest hardworking pizza counter girl I've ever seen. What's even better is that she remembered my face when I came in the second time. Its always nice to be remembered! I wish you all the best Destiny! Keep shining like the star you are!!!!!!
Aren't you tired of paying $20 for a small shitty pizza? The prices here are very reasonable. You're not sacrificing flavor, convenience, time or the bank over these prices! For a 16 inch cheese pizza is $15. That fed my family of 4 just fine. Don't forget to order something sweet like a cannoli to round out that delicious meal you just had.
Toarmina hits you in all the right places, Your belly, your pocket and your heart! Love y'all!
We'll be back sometime next week 🤣”
