“Royal Peasant is located near Five Points, south of UGA. There is street parking in the area or you can park at the Fire Station for two hours.
This is a good English pub. They have done a great job of decorating the inside, giving it that genuine feel. And the server was attentive and answered questions well. The food dragged it down in my rating. My daughter had the lamb vindaloo, which came with very little lamb but lots of rice and sauce. I had the Bangers and Mash, which was presented very well but the bangers weren’t top notch. It may have been the turmeric in the cabbage, now that I think about it. My wife had the Royale with Cheese, which was cooked correctly and tasted like… a burger. So it goes.
I will say that the Korean BBQ pork belly starter was great! I highly recommend it.
All that aside- for Athens, this is probably the best English Pub experience you will get! I may return in the future to give it a second try.
One thing I noticed: the outside was heavily populated by students, while the inside was populated by non-student (adult) locals. And the inside people hung out rather than eat and run. That says something!”

“I absolutely love Ahi and have gone for years, but they went above and beyond this Sunday. I took a group of kids to eat at Ahi (over 20 people) and we were served quickly and kindly. They took our group with stride, which was very impressive. I would recommend them for their food regardless, but the kind and consistent service is commendable as well.”

“Got good vegetarian options and the vegetarian burrito bowl was a blast. Esquites tasted very good. On a Thursday evening just before the college week, no big wait. Got the parking for which we need to pay. However, taking the car out was a nightmare. It took quite sometime to take the car out.”

I've always taught my kids to tip well and to tip the chefs if the food is above the normal expectations. Therefore, we gave him a well deserved tip and come to find out he is a new chef here. So, I must give credit where credit is due! Thank You!”

“The tomahawk steak was very impressive & definitely plenty of food for 2 people. I liked that it came with a variety of oil & butters that you can pair with your steak. We also got a free dessert since it was my birthday and i always love a good lava cake.
The ambience in the restaurant is kinda dark and they are definitely trying to resemble a fancy steakhouse vibes. I wasn’t too impressed and thought it was kinda grim looking. Doesn’t reflect on their food at all & I still really enjoyed my meal!!”

Southern through and through. There is not a thing on the menu I wouldn't bring home for dinner or just can't wait and order in. We ordered Christmas dinner from the Preacher and everyone said AMEN! The fried chicken is mouthwatering juicy good. The Pot Roast is just like your grandmother cooked it for hours. The Collard Greens, sweet potatoes, black eyed peas are scrumptious. Just go there. It's terrific.”

Frankly, I had to scholl through 3-4 pages and Ossetian Athena finally came up … we’ll worth the wait! My wife & I had a great over appetizer, Mushroom Bruschetta, Caesar Salads & Salmone Al Pistacchio including an Italian Blend … simply outstanding! On top of all this, Drew, the owner, was a GREAT HOST! I highly recommend this restaurant!”

“My wife and I always enjoy eating at the Hilltop Grille when we are in Athens. The cream brûlée is amazing. On our visit to Athens on 2/13/2026, around 11:30 AM, I had the grilled salmon. It was delicious. My wife shared a little of her coleslaw with me. I later experienced mild indigestion. The only other thing I ate all day was some freshly homemade brownies my sweet neighbor brought over. The following morning around 7 AM, I awoke with an extreme urgency to go to the bathroom. I almost didn’t make it. I had a one and done case of severe diarrhea. I am submitting this review just to see if anyone else experienced the same issue after eating after eating there that day.”

The sushi selections are always fresh and you can tell it's authentic because the crowd always includes diners from the local Asian community, which is always a great sign. They have an "A" for their food score which is HIGHLY important to me and the staff are always attentive. Best time to go is in the during the week to avoid crowds! Happy, return trip customer !”

“Almost Duluth quality kbbq!! It’s very similar to 9292 which is my favorite kbbq place in Duluth.
The meats are always very well seasoned and delicious. I always love a good kbbq with plenty of choices for side dishes and this place is it!! They come with a salad, tons of kimchi, rice and the fish cakes are amazing!! My favorite part tho is the cheese corn.
Their alcoholic drinks are also delicious and I personally love their Soju drinks.”

“While visiting my Aunt in Athens we got take out From the Timothy Road location. We were told an hour. I arrived 50 minutes later, paid and waited about 10 minutes for the server to return to the bar with our order. I could tell the pizza box was not warm but when it was handed to me. When we arrived at my Aunts condo just a few minutes up the road the pizza and pasta were COLD. Frustrating to have to wait for cold food. The salads were good and the taste of the pizza and pasta were good. Next time I guess I’ll order and wait at the bar?”

“My wife and I always enjoy eating at the Hilltop Grille when we are in Athens. The cream brûlée is amazing. On our visit to Athens on 2/13/2026, around 11:30 AM, I had the grilled salmon. It was delicious. My wife shared a little of her coleslaw with me. I later experienced mild indigestion. The only other thing I ate all day was some freshly homemade brownies my sweet neighbor brought over. The following morning around 7 AM, I awoke with an extreme urgency to go to the bathroom. I almost didn’t make it. I had a one and done case of severe diarrhea. I am submitting this review just to see if anyone else experienced the same issue after eating after eating there that day.”

“My favourite out of a bucket full of great restaurants in Athens. It's a counter top order but someone delivers your meal in quick time and hot. But the food is why you come here. Southern through and through. There is not a thing on the menu I wouldn't bring home for dinner or just can't wait and order in. We ordered Christmas dinner from the Preacher and everyone said AMEN! The fried chicken is mouthwatering juicy good. The Pot Roast is just like your grandmother cooked it for hours. The Collard Greens, sweet potatoes, black eyed peas are scrumptious. Just go there. It's terrific.”

“I've been to Tiger Sushi Athens multiple times now & the food's always BOMB ! The sushi selections are always fresh and you can tell it's authentic because the crowd always includes diners from the local Asian community, which is always a great sign. They have an "A" for their food score which is HIGHLY important to me and the staff are always attentive. Best time to go is in the during the week to avoid crowds! Happy, return trip customer !”

Bartenders are personable and friendly, and the atmosphere is top notch. Certainly gives out the vibes and feels of Edward Hopper’s “NightHawks” painting.
