“Lingo was the perfect choice for a special celebration. I brought my daughter here and the night was great. It’s a beautiful space, genuinely warm and personable staff, and excellent Japanese-inflected food with a creative twist.

We did have one miss: the ribs were too fatty for our taste. But here's where Lingo service stepped in. Without any fuss, they took the dish off the bill and were so gracious about it. That kind of hospitality is rare and says a lot about how they run their restaurant.

Everything else was delicious and the vibe was just right for a celebratory dinner. I'll absolutely be back.“

“We had a fantastic brunch at Sailor. I originally considered the French toast but decided to try the Turkish eggs and am so glad that I did. The smoked turkey Reuben was also excellent. The olive oil cake is better than mine and I will definitely alter my recipe. We will visit again.“

“They accommodated our walk in party of 4 around 6pm on a Saturday and told us we had an hour and 45 before their reservation (plenty of time!) even gave us their “favorite table” in the house. Buzzy, great music, and overall vibe. Highly recommend!“

“Want to make your pallet dance? Of course you do! Boutros is the place to go from their tantalizing cocktails to their original baba ghanoush and falafel you’ll be simply amazed. Old school, traditional recipes with a twist of new flare. Mikey is a wizard for creating his cocktails. I had the pleasure of trying two of them that he created after thinking about them for 12 years and I highly recommend them the Garlic Gibson and the Bitter tree, both are amazing. Allen, who is the chef and owner and named this quaint little place after his dad will delight you with his specialties my Sister and I had the mushroom hummus. Great beverages as well such as the slightly sweetened Jasmine iced tea and Sanzo (lychee & calamansi) sparkling water products!“

The wait was not long to get a table and the service was prompt, professional, courteous, and didn’t leave us in want of anything. All of our needs were met. Food was prepared much quicker than expected and was all very good! I would definitely recommend this!“

“5 stars are not enough to tell you how good this place is. We've been staying in the Franklin Guesthouse (hotel adjacent to Madre) for a couple of nights and decided to give Madre a shot - boy were we in for a treat! Firstly, shout out to Armando, who made us feel immediately welcomed with his warmth and energy! For food, we got the Frutti di Mare, Croquetas, Brussels Sprouts, Cornbread Madeleines (compliments from chef) and Chicken - massive MASSIVE props to Chef Bryan and his very talented team. To say that they cooked "well" would be the understatement of 2022. They absolutely blew our minds with top quality medley of ingredients, depth of flavor, and masterful execution in every way. Cocktails were fun and delectable, which added the perfect "pop" to the culinary rocket ship that Madre served up. Just when my wife and I were ready to call it a night, Chef Bryan and Armando were kind enough to bring out the Pot de Creme for us, which was the bow and ribbon on this very special dinner. My only regret of the night was not having enough stomachs to enjoy more of what Madre could serve up. We will definitely be back! Thank you, Madre!“

“We had a great experience at Che Ma Tante. Jackson, our server, provided excellent service, and the food was very good. We were especially excited to try the pancakes, and while they were delicious, I don’t think they are the best pancakes in the city.“

The ricotta starter was amazing with a great balance of flavors.
The Pancakes were beautiful but very dense so didn’t hit the mark for me with the wet gooey texture and large size.

“We walked in late on Friday and had a fantastic dinner. Three of us all came away with the same perspective that Traif was amazing. Service was unbelievably attentive, the dishes we had were delicious and the back patio was a calming retreat after a busy day. Every dish was a flavor burst. I highly recommend Traif and will go back.“

“We celebrated our daughters birthday last night. The restaurant was outstanding the revolving menu featured Fillipino and it was seasoned flawlessly. It small in the middle there was a large communal table with individual tables on the side. Place is nicely decorated has a warm feel. The service was was both personable and efficient. “Absolutely adore Swoony’s. The place is charming and welcoming and the service is fantastic. Hands down one of the best cheeseburgers in NYC and a must try for any burger lovers. It really is uncanny (and delicious) how much the burger tastes like a grown up version of McDonalds. I will go back for it. The whipped goat cheese and wedge salad are fantastic. Don’t sleep on the dirty martini and ask for their blue cheese olives in it.“

“We had an absolute blast! If you are looking for a spot with incredible live music and a fantastic vibe, this is it.
The bands were phenomenal, they were absolutely working the room, bringing so much energy, and playing amazing sets. Kept the whole place alive.

“What an amazing dinner we were participating in. It started with a flower that exploded our taste buds through all the variety of sea creatures and sea plants prepared various ways to a light but scrumptious bread pudding and ice cream made with 3 waters. All the dishes were presented like works of art accompanied in artistic dishes. It was most definitely a wild to table experience. Highly recommend. (only allowed 10 photos. There was a total 13 servings of food and 2 drinks)“

“Great establishment and even better service. We had the pleasure of being served by Yesenia ( hope
I spelled correctly) who provided us with exceptional service. The aesthetic of the restaurant is very nice and light and has a Parisian feel with the outdoor seating. The brunch options were wide, and we ended up getting the short rib bowl as well as an order of the pancakes, and the Caesar salad with added grilled chicken. Everything came out in a reasonable table, no long wait and all fresh. The taste of the short rib bowl was very rich so the flavor was a lot for one person, but delicious nonetheless. I got a side of soft scrambled eggs which were pretty bland and likely should have gotten cheese with it, but it helped cut the richness of the short rib. Also peas for brunch threw me off a bit but still yummy! The salad had real anchovies which mainly carried the dish. The Caesar dressing itself was good, but definitely needed the anchovy for the balance. Lastly, the pancakes come with a syrup sauce and a sweetened butter cream type sauce both were incredible. The pancake itself was on the doughier thicker side but still had a nice crunch on the edges. Overall good experience and would return!“

“Boardwalk Beer Garden turned out to be exactly the kind of place I did not know I needed tonight.

It’s right on the Brighton Beach Boardwalk, which already gives it a strong advantage: beach air, ocean nearby, and a calmer feel than the heavier Coney Island energy down the way. I had spent some time outside by the beach first, just taking in the water and the boardwalk, and then decided to step inside for a drink and something to eat.

Inside, the place had the feel of a real neighborhood bar: comfortable, lively, and unpretentious. Sports were playing across the TV screens, so it had that good sports-bar energy without feeling overwhelming. I was there by myself, but I never felt out of place. That matters. Some places have a way of making a solo customer feel invisible; this place did the opposite.

The margarita was excellent — honestly, one of the best I’ve had. Big credit to Phillip, who was an incredible bartender and made the whole experience feel easy, friendly, and welcoming. Good service is not just about taking an order. It is about reading the room, making people feel comfortable, and adding something human to the night. Phillip did that.

I also had the Jumbo Mozzarella Sticks with the margarita, and they absolutely hit the spot. Simple, satisfying, and exactly the kind of bar food you want when you’re sitting inside after time on the boardwalk.

Overall, Boardwalk Beer Garden was a very pleasant surprise: a relaxed Brighton Beach spot with a homey feel, good drinks, satisfying food, sports on the screens, and genuinely friendly service. I’m glad I gave it a chance, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a laid-back place near the beach.“

“We stopped in for a quick drink and an app. I would have been fine at the bar, but they were gracious enough to give us a table…I did reiterate that we weren’t eating a full dinner and didn’t want to take a whole table up. Staff is one of the most friendly I’ve encountered in NYC, like genuinely friendly. Drinks are bussin’, so are the apps. Def will return.“

And a long inviting bar with no TVs blaring away. The perfect place for a casual meal or a drink and good conversation. The only downside is it's only open Wednesday through Saturday.“

On the recommendation of our server, Tom, we ordered the sunchokes for an appetizer and cheeseburger and risotto for mains. Favorite bite of the night were the sunchokes with fresh parm and pepper sauce. The cheeseburger and risotto were also outstanding and generously portioned. For dessert, our server recommended an unforgettable parsnip sponge cake with a decadent heap of cream cheese buttercream. The knowledgeable and friendly service made the dining experience warm and welcoming. I’ll be back!“

“I love dilly dally!!! The name really embodies the experience: you don't want to leave. I have been many times, and the food is always high quality and delicious. The aesthetic and the staff make you feel at home there. I recently spent many hours there working during the day. There was wifi and many outlets available. I got the breakfast burrito, which was incredible, and sustained me to do hours of work. If you haven't been, you are missing out!“
