A table tent welcoming us and wishing us a happy anniversary, signed by staff, was waiting on our table for us. Rych, our waiter, was very knowledgeable and answered all my husband’s many many questions. We started with the goat cheese and peaches and it was to die for! I ordered the amazing flounder and my husband had the quail and we ended with Crème bruele! Everything was delicious. We also shared an amazing bottle of wine!

We truly appreciated the quiet and intimate atmosphere. Sitting upstairs looking over the lower area was perfect. Like being in the middle of things while still having our intimate spot.

Shipping was easy with lots of options and the wine was packed with care. I can see why the Tempranillo is a favorite with a unique flavor and warm rich feel perfect for a cold snowy night by the fire. I will replenish my stash and hope to visit the source, soon. “I've never been to the brick & mortor location, but man I look for their beers every single time at HEB. It's a hard 1 to find on the shelves, but if you can get their Altibier (green label) in glass bottles, you've struck gold! I've had the Kolsch, Lager & Altbier & all of them are superb. Sometimes I will travel 35 miles just to get that green label. Highly recommend!”

Out of all the wineries we visited, this one truly stood out — it’s one in a million! Their wine collection features top-tier brands from overseas, and each bottle we tried was exceptional. Mr. Alexander, the owner, is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about his collection — he made the experience both educational and fun. Alexander Vineyards also has an amazing wine club and hosts monthly events with live music and exquisite food — definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area regularly. “My wife and I stopped in for lunch on our anniversary, just happened to walk into it as we were walking Main Street. We were sat immediately and the wait staff was wonderful (friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable). We started with fried ravioli (WOULD RECOMMEND), my wife got the special (Fet. Alfredo) and I got lasagna. They were both 11/10, best lasagna I’ve ever had. Bread was perfect. So happy we lucked into this spot will be a must stop when coming back to Fredericksburg!”

“I got to try Hye Cider at H‑E‑B and I was surprised! I’m not much of a cider person but wow this actually tasted really good! I really like the flavor of the Hye Heaven, it’s more sweet but not overly sweet which is just the taste I go for nowadays. I definitely recommend!”

She was attentive, witty and full of information. Our food was equally as great, we’ve eaten quite a bit of bratwurst in this town in the past 5 weeks, and theirs is lights out. Oh, and to top it off the live music was awesome, check their schedule so you don’t miss Cliff Crawford.”

“Great lunch!! Our waitress was friendly and took good care of us. We loved the marble rye bread to start. We had he jäger schnitzel, the mixed sausage platter and the kartoffel salad. The schnitzel featured a delicious wild mushroom sauce and was served with German potato salad and red cabbage. The schnitzel was crispy and the mushroom sauce was delicious. The sausage plate as served with a very good sauerkraut and German potato salad. The kartofel salad featured crisp greens and German potato salad. The Black Gorest Cake was too yummy to pass up for dessert. Good news! They did take our credit fcard!”

My burger was oozing with goat cheese and a mouth watering 1/2 pound beef patty, hell I even added a fried egg!!! Today we each had an order of street tacos. Also came with beans and a grilled pepper on the side. Another yum yum. And once again, peach cobbler…this time with ice cream. We brought a whole crew, including a few kiddos, and the Yee Haw staff were so accommodating to us and our youngsters. The karaoke instructor, Chelsea, was extra attentive to our kids and even gave them a coloring sheet and markers to keep them busy while us parents participated in karaoke! Such a fun places, and we will definitely be back!”

“Recommended by an acquaintance. About 6 miles North of town in an old Sinclair gas station. A small bar and 4 tables. Menu choice was a DinoBLT or hot wings. We went for the BLT. Order at the bar, no table service. BLT's came out in a paper sack. Bottle beer and canned soda are the beverage options, no water. Could well be the best BLT I ever had. $10.00. Weekends The menu changes to DinoBurger $20.00 and wings. Would have come back for that but left town the next day. While waiting around for food, wander through the service bay.”

“Bucs is the local bar that has it all; sports, pool, karaoke, food and awesome bartenders. My favorite by far is Jasmine. She’s speedy, no waiting for your drinks, always remembers our drinks and never lets the crowds or the pace affect her smile or sense of humor. We won’t even get started on the flaming shots.
