Fernando and the Head Chef were both off this evening and the staff and food were as great as if they had been there. They all take their part in the restaurant very much to heart and it shows. You cannot go wrong! The place can fill up during peak mealtime hours if you’re hoping to dine in at a table with chairs but they do have window stools too.

I always get the gyro plate and it hits every single time. The owner-chefs also sometimes gift us freebie food every now and then which is above and beyond.”

“Sushi Today is amazing. I used Grubhub to order from them, which was a mistake. Long story short, I never got my food. One of the team members called me to see if I got my food which I said no and they were so kind and gracious, they told me exactly what to do with GrubHub so that I could get my order.

I had my order within 10/15 minutes of that phone call. There was a sweet apology note which was completely unneeded. And most importantly their food was so good so delicious I will be back and I will be ordering directly from their restaurant.”

“This is hands down my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Renton. The food is consistently delicious — every bowl, every plate, every time. One thing to know: this place gets busy. If you want a smooth experience with no wait, go early or aim for off-peak hours. It’s popular for a reason, and once the rush hits, the line can get long.

Parking is another plus — free and easy, which is rare these days and makes the visit stress-free.

“A nondescript pub on the outside with outstanding food and service on the inside. I went for the seafood special of black cod, which came plated as though i was at a restaraunt with white linens. And the taste... MMmmm! Hadn't eaten all day, so followed that with fish and chips. The thinly breaded very generous fish portions were cooked perfectly. After stirring the coleslaw to get the sauce up from the bottom, the flavors meet the high bar the rest of the dishes had set. Great IPAs on tap and a very good porter, too. But the night i was there the rotating sour tasted more like a cider. Bonus: A seat at the bar may treat you to a view of the kitchen in action!”

“The exterior of the premises looked suspicious with the tacky color scheme (which led me to stay away for quite a bit), but food was surprisingly fresh and value-for-money.

Mojarra frita was a whole tilapia, along with corn tortillas, rice, beans, guacamole and pico de gallo, for $14 total. While the fish was overly salted on the exterior, it was easily mitigated (i.e., just scrape off the excess salt). Corn tortillas on the dry side but that wasn't much of an issue for me as well.

Definitely no gourmet meal, but a satisfying one at this price point. Look forward to trying the other offerings.”

“We will be back! Some of the freshest sushi we have had in a while in the south end. Reasonably priced and good portions. Service was super friendly and so fast. Food came out very quickly. We were checked in on multiple times.
Right when we sat we were offered a warm cloth and complimentary miso soup.
Rainbow roll had very fresh fish on top, Jumping Ebi had great texture , Monkey Brain had a lot of avocado, and the Spicy Tuna wasn’t overly seasoned and had good flavor.”

“I looked up musubi and this place came up with really good reviews. I was not disappointed. I got three different kinds of musubi. Tempura prawns, spam and Portuguese sausage. All of them delicious. I also ordered a combination plate and got machicho(sp?)chicken and the shoyu chicken. I used to compete in barbecue and the shoyu chicken is a prize winner. So far nothing has disappointed me. Don't expect it to be super clean. The table tops were ok but the floors had all kinda dust and stuff. They do have really nice pictures up though. Make sure if you don't see anyone up front they have a bell next to the POS.”

“8-bit Arcade said they were wheelchair accessible and guess what?! THEY WERE. Not only could I get through the aisles, but the bathroom set up was an example in inclusion!! The door was easy to open and lock, the sink was easy to get under, the doorway was absolutely wide enough to get in and out of and there was enough room to maneuver for my wheelchair inside the bathroom!!!! It was amazing. Plus the staff was kind, courteous and even gave us a warning when the loud speakers, near us, were used!! Absolutely recommend!! 🫶”

“I used Christies Catering to cater a surprise birthday party for my wife. This was my first time using a catering service. I lucked out by choosing Christies. They walked me through a menu which included a cheese, vegetable, fruit and meat tray, shrimp cocktail, Caesar salad, rolls, cooked vegetables, garlic mashed potatoes and braised short ribs. She made everything we had agreed on and more. My wife and our guests raved about the food. I highly recommend Christies catering. Christie and Teanna are the nicest people to work with. I will use them again! Thank you for a great meal and event.”

We actually learned a few things about how some of the beers were brewed! (Wet vs dry vs fresh hop brewing). The Turkey Melt was delicious and be warned, the Fire Breather burger has some decent heat! I ordered a tequila shot to combat the heat. (No stingy pours on shots either!) Great experience and a good value. We'll be back soon.”
