“Our church, Triedstone MBC, just hosted a luncheon for our leadership team. It was catered by Darrow’s New Orleans Grill. We were very pleased with our experience. The food was delicious. And the service was great! They arrived early. And the food was hot. The owner, Norwood, presented the food with a very appetizing description of each entree. Everyone loved it! Additionally, the portions were very generous. And everyone went back for seconds. At Triedstone, we do everything with excellence. And Darrow’s definitely met the challenge. The two employees who were working behind the counter, were slammed with orders, but never once did either show any frustration or bad attitude. Customer service was top notch.

“The food was fantastic! The owner, Laith? (I completely forgot to ask his name!), was very hospitable and friendly. We got the beef shawarma and gyro. Both were very tasty, but I preferred the gyro. The garlic sauce and hummus were outstanding. Everything we ordered was delicious. My husband liked the Original shake too. He said it’s like drinking banana bread in the best way! 😂 It was a bit warm without AC, but be tolerable. We will be coming back! 😊”

“So far I have tried the spicy Korean fried chicken bowl, pork belly bowl and japchae, all of delicious. Always fresh. My toddler only likes japchae from an AYCE kbbq in Garden Grove, but she has approved of yours. 10/10 every time. I am always greeted with a smile. I will keep coming back.”

I wanted to try the Nutella and green tea macroons however they were sold out. I settled for the fruity pebble and I loved it.”

Lani and Cesar were working the counter and they provided great service with a smile and checked in with my wife and I often about taking our trays away when we were done. Cesar also came over to provide condiments when we didn’t have some at our table. Today the atmosphere was pretty quiet and the music wasn’t loud. The manager also came over to see how our order was coming along.”

It’s less than 2mins from the exit and the food is excellent, solid pho options and Chinese cuisine too, and the guys who run it, are lovely. I don’t live in Carson, CA but so glad I stopped and tried it out… It will be my food stop so many times more in the future when I make the drive down and back.”

“It was such a pleasant peaceful atmosphere to get away and enjoy some great food. Those are what I like to call real hamburger's. They are huge patties of meat, juicy , delicious and fresh. I highly recommend this place,if you want to enjoy a real burger 😊”

“We live nearby and to our surprise we have gem in the neighborhood. They have good authentic Mexican foods, clean restroom, nice ambiance and superb service. We ordered menudo and pozole to go after eating huevos rancheros and huevos de chorizo. Foods were very tasty and freshly prepared and cooked.”

“Mongolian beef and chicken chow mein. All the Mongolian beef I've ever tried have been delicious this place a little unique, a little on the sweet side but still its good. Maybe next time ill tell the cook if he could not sweet the beef but its good. Chow mein was great! Haven't tried chicken chow mein that delicious in a long while. The place is laid out like a typical Asian restaurant, floors are clean, tables are cleaned as well very quiet just how i like it lol.”

“The food is good. The hashbrowns can be improved in taste and texture. Pancakes are good. Waffle can be improved . It comes with a bare minimum butter which is not enough and does not even spread to the whole waffle.

The French toast is awesome. I like the food overall. The service depends on. 2 out of 3 times the service was slow and once it was extremely slow . I had to call the person .”

My oldest grandson is now 25 and the baby is 16. Whenever there is ice cream wanted in my house and they are around, it’s a trip to Ken’s! Watching it pass from one generation to another, has been a great thing for our community! One trip to Ken’s and you are hooked for life! The cebuchon tasted authentically Cebu-style, with beautifully crispy skin and tender, flavorful meat that wasn’t overly fatty. Sulit din for the price, especially with the generous portion. “Did not expect to be this nice because google image show a very simple restaurant. I went there yesterday with my family we were looking for Thai restaurant near by my house. I just move here for school so not familiar with area but my family want to eat our culture food. I am on a budget and this place coming with high rating. I like it a lot. Service was good. Crab fried rice for $13.99 is to die for. I usually spend closer to $20 for crab fried rice else where and they even use the real crab. Chicken wing are amazing. Red curry is also taste like home. I will definitely coming back. We sit there for closer to 2 hours and my nephew was entertain. They have games for kid and coin machine too. What a good find!”

The rude cashier lady who obviously doesn’t enjoy her job.. tried to charge us for two chicharron ($12) when I got 1 chicharron ($6) and a balut which costs $4. I caught that and spoke up. She didn't give us the right amount of change either”

There are a few tables available but it is more of a walk up and order type of thing. You dont have a waiter, but they will bring your food to you. Drinks are bottles, not in cup and if you want water you can fill a cup from the dispenser.”

“RUN to it. The Senorita bread is every bit worth of hype. It did not look like much from the outside perspective but honestly no perfect words to describe the texture, just yumm!!! we lucked out with fresh ones. It was hot, moist, chewy with a little bit of a sticky sweet glaze on the bottom. They are small and I could easily eat 5 to myself. Also lucked out with other discounted donuts/bitso’s because we came close to closing time… for that reason they did seem a little dry but I really liked the flavor of the maple twist.

“It is H salt, always the same good Hot fish deep fried. Fries were OK. Atmosphere is original from the days gone by. I go to that H salt fish and chips twice a year because it is like the original.”

“Second time to blenders for the smoothies. This time I tried the Milk Tea coffee 😲 DELICIOUS!!! I'm not a fan of tea but this one was great!! You taste the tea but wasn't strong & the sweetness was spot on!! Will definitely need to come back & try the food.
The other drink is spinach juice. I got that one the last time & again today.”

Especially the herb dipping sauce didn’t smell fresh. I absolutely was excited to see that they have wings tho but I will stay away from that particular dish & will continue to pick up their other great dishes!”

“I must have gone on a bad day. Kalbi short rib pictures are everywhere but, memo states they are not on the menu. Then I tried ordering Tokyo Wings as advertised on the counter at the register. Memo states they were out of those too. I asked Memo if I order a plate of Teriyaki Chicken, does he have that? He said Yes. The food was good but, options were off.”

“I ordered sinigang beef and sayote beef n shrimp. My most favorite was the sinigang beef. The broth was well balanced with flavors and chunks of beef on bone. No hint of additional oil which made the soup flavorful as you would expect the slightly sour taste of the tamarind yet it was balanced with the right seasonings and veggies. The sayote beef/shrimp was full of flavor but the drawback for me is that it was oily even though the sayote dish is like a sabaw (soup) dish. If you love rice, they pack half the plate with white rice. The total cost for rice plus 2 items came out to $13.19 debit charge. It’s cheaper than other places but I think they have a pay scale depending on what you order. My receipt shows they charged me for a 2 item combo but I had an additional
Charge of .99 cents for the sinigang beef. I guess the rice is considered an item as well. I’m not bothered by the charge since it’s still cheaper than other places I’ve been. So the rest of the food selections look good and well presented. I will come back to try more dishes. Overall my experience was good and the atmosphere is pleasant.”

“I was here last week: April 18 to April 26, 2022..and I kid you not we order 1 or 2 dozen boxes of donuts at 10 times. These are the best donuts I ever ate in my life. I love the fact it is open 24 hours. We even order 1 dozen as a carry on our flight back home. We are from West Jordan, Utah. This cake is so darn delicious that I would drive the 45 minutes from Irvine during this economic crisis for a slice. It’s well worth the money, not too sweet, and the icing is so delicious. Hot Tender Wings is a hidden gem! You can really feel that this is a family-run business from the moment you walk in. The atmosphere is friendly, welcoming, and family-oriented, and you feel right at home.

What really impressed me was the fusion of sushi and hot tender wings—such a unique combination, and they do both extremely well! The wings were nice, plump, juicy, and tender. There was absolutely nothing dry about them, and they were packed with flavor.

I also tried the California roll, and I was genuinely impressed. The sushi was fresh and very well made, and both the taste and the generous serving size exceeded my expectations.

It’s great to find a family-owned place that puts care into the quality of its food and creates such a welcoming environment. If you’re craving flavorful, juicy wings and well-made sushi, Hot Tender Wings is definitely worth checking out.
