“I have been coming to Sojuya for several years. At first, I was a little intimidated because there’s lots of options on the menu, but the staff is friendly and willing to help answer any questions you have. We come here at least one a month, more times if we have family coming in from out of town as it’s a great spot to to take them that I know will be different than they have in their home town. This place is my go to for great food, awesome service and a fun atmosphere. It is also my go to if I have a larger party. Anytime I have come here with a party of 6,8 or even 10 people, the host doesn’t even bat an eye and space is found for us. I love the ability to get great Korean comfort food along with the best yakatori. We love the vibe, the people and the food here. Thank you Sojuya! It is always a treat to come.”

“10/10 recommend Yuka Japanese Cuisine for sushi and Japanese dishes. The restaurant offers an excellent array of sushi hand rolls as well as traditional cut rolls, and everything we tried was packed with flavor. They also have a great selection of ramen and udon dishes, so there are plenty of options beyond sushi. The fish tasted fresh, the rolls were well made, and the overall quality really stood out.

Definitely a spot worth checking out — I will absolutely be back! 🍣✨”

“I've been going to Sweetee Thai since it opened years ago and I stopped in for lunch today. There's a sign on the door separating them from Sweetee Thai in Cerritos. Long story short both restaurants have new owners. Susie has retired now and I wasn't sure if I was going to be satisfied but truth be told the quality of all four dishes rated 5 stars in my book. Thats unprecedented. In fact it's much higher than my rating at Sweetee Thai over the last several years. (This is a personal quest for the best Thai food in the LB, North Orange County Area, not anything I've previously shared.)
First, we had the Beef Satay appetizer. The portion was generously sized, with an excellent cut of meat and you could taste the flame grilling. It was perfect, the peanut sauce might need a smidgen of vinegar to balance the sweet but nothing that most people would notice and maybe they prefer it on the sweeter side. It's my preference to have a little tang to my peanut sauce.) Second, we shared two main entrees, the Jade Curry with tofu over white rice, (The *spicy version was still mild enough for me to add more hot dried chili twice.) It was seasoned exactly right, with full bodied flavor without being just spicy or hot. It had exactly the right feel in your mouth. Thirdly, we shared the Nam Tok, (A sliced, warm, grilled beef in a lime based dressing with cabbage on a bed of romaine lettuce.) The lime dressing acts to slightly steam the cabbage (Think of how ceviche works.) and the lettuce, yet still leaving both crispy. I used the lettuce and created a wrap, with the steak, cabbage and lime dressing, and although the dish comes with rice it's not necessary in my estimation.
Fourth, we had Mango with sticky rice for dessert. They didn’t disappoint here either. The mangos were just the perfect ripeness and it's only available in season. (Points for waiting for the mangos to ripen. It's getting common to be served underripe mango, even at Whole Foods and Sprouts, places where farm fresh produce is served cut up.) Thai food has been my absolute favorite food since 1977, THIS WAS THE BEST Thai meal I've had in years. I'm always trying new Thai places to match the highest quality I've had in the past. If they can maintain this level of culinary delight I'll be trying every item on the menu. I think the root of this excellent flavor of the beef and the curry comes from the dried red chili's that they use, the spices were fresh and a smoky spicy without relying on heat only for the flavor profile. Please, please keep it up! The OC Register needs to send out their food critics because I was blown away and I think they will be too.”

“We love the ice cream here! The workers are incredibly sweet and keep the line moving fast, no matter how busy it gets. That said, the lack of restrooms is a huge drawback. Their website does say to 'plan ahead,' but as any parent of young kids knows, that's easier said than done! We've actually had two bathroom accidents at RC now, which really makes us second-guess visiting. Since it's such a popular seasonal spot, I wouldn't think it'd be too hard to at least provide a porta-potty. It would make a world of difference for families in a pinch.”

“I wasn't sure what to expect driving out to Acton, but saw this spot had good reviews and I'm glad I stopped. Got the crispy fried chicken and a bowl of japchae to split with a friend, both came out hot and fresh. The chicken was just salty enough on its own without needing the sauce, definitely the highlight for me. Only thing is the parking arrangement is a little awkward, it shares a lot with a laundromat so it can feel crowded. We sat at one of the outdoor tables because it was nice weather, felt very low key and casual. I'd probably just order takeout next time instead of dealing with the seating, but the food is solid.”

“The Kebab Shop is conveniently located in a shipping area near Trader Joe's with ample parking. Ordering at the counter was a snap and the staff was very professional and friendly helping us with our first visit. We decided to try one of their wraps with lamb and steak. After ordering, the staff invited to try some of their choices of yogurt topping. It was a short wait at our table and then our name was called.

The wrap was good sized and filled with lots of meat. I added dill yogurt topping and took a bite; mm mm, so good! The combination of the topping, lamb and fresh veggies were fantastic.

I really enjoyed it and can't wait to go back.”

I had the hot pastrami sandwich, and it was spot on! Warm, flavorful, and piled just right without being messy. Came with chips and a drink for $10, which is a great deal these days for a full lunch.

Service was quick, and the vibe is simple and no frills, exactly what you want from a neighborhood sandwich shop. Definitely a great choice when you want something tasty, filling, and reasonably priced in Cypress.”

“Every Table meal subscription is amazing. Delicious, healthy foods at a very fair price. 5 dinners only $38. The best part is my area has brick and mortar stores where I just walk in and buy my meal prep for the week...Meals cooked in a local kitchen by real chefs with local fresh ingredients. I'm busy all the time and although I love cooking it's hard to cook for just one person. The majority of meals are 600 calories or less. An easy way for me to stay in my calorie deficit. I just had the chicken schwarma bowl and it was soooo good. Tasted just like a home cooked meal. Highly recommend”

“Taco Tuesday at Trejo’s Mexican Food is one of the best deals around! The tacos are about half of their regular price, making it a great opportunity to try a variety of options. On this visit, I had the carne asada, shrimp and chorizo, and fish tacos, and every one of them was delicious.

The carne asada was flavorful and tender, the shrimp and chorizo taco had a great combination of smoky and savory flavors, and the fish taco was fresh and perfectly prepared. While the regular prices can feel a bit high, the quality is excellent, and the Taco Tuesday special makes them an incredible value.

Don’t sleep on the peanut butter salsa especially if you add the chili oil. Super good. Not a big inside spot though, only five chairs at the counter seating by the front window. Mostly a to-go place.

If you’re in Cypress and looking for a tasty taco fix, Taco Tuesday at Trejo’s Mexican Food is definitely worth checking out. I’ll be back!”

“So happy to have found Ponchos Antojitos! It's super close to us, so we don't have to go far out of our way for great ice cream anymore. We tried the Cookie Monster and Cotton Candy flavors—both were well-chilled and bursting with flavor. My 3-year-old daughter especially loved the Cotton Candy. The plaza is a bit hidden, but that’s a plus since it's not usually busy, so there's no long wait. We actually discovered this place while searching for ice cream spots after the other two places we tried had long lines, and my daughter wanted her treat quickly. This is definitely our new go-to!”

“I was in the area for work and decided to stop in for breakfast. There was no wait—I was seated right away and had my drink in front of me within minutes. I ordered the Hobo Omelet with home fries (topped with onions and peppers) and white toast.

Service was fast and friendly, which made for a great start to the day. The omelet was delicious, with a nice, even mix of ingredients throughout. The home fries were a generous portion and perfectly cooked with just the right amount of crispy edges and flavorful peppers and onions. The toast was nicely browned, buttery, and served with both strawberry and grape jelly—though strawberry is always the clear winner in my book.

Overall, it was a great breakfast spot, and I definitely plan on coming back to try more of the menu!”

“This is an amazing place to come get food here at the Cypress Swap Meet. I have passed by here a few times and notice the line is always getting to be really long, so I knew I would one day have to try it. Well today was that day and I was left really pleased with my meal.

I ordered two gorditas, one asada and one chicharrón rojo and they were both so damn good. I had cheese put into both of them and even though I wasn’t able to get salsa, I still loved every last bite. I think I liked the chicharron one a little more than the asada but they were both delicious.

I will say, they were quite pricy, 6$ for each one but it was definitely worth it because they were great. I am already thinking about coming back and trying some of their other options, as they have a long list of meats to choose from and even some good vegetarian options as well like rajas con queso or beans.

Also, this place tends to get pretty packed. I wasn’t able to sit down because all the tables were taken so I had to get my food to go and eat at one of the benches by the college. And don’t be scared by the long line. It goes by real fast!”

The food is fresh and cooked to order. All small businesses are facing the same labor and food products pricing stresses on their bottom line. Please support your local businesses.”
