Brunch should be a relaxing atmosphere, not feeling like you are at a night club….”

“One of the best Mediterranean food in Boise even the best! We had 2 plates: one is called Mushakal that includes chicken Shawarma, chicken taouk style (skewers) , hummus dip and salad! Second plate is called Ishtar which includes falafel, lamb kebab, chicken taouk, hummus dip and salad! Both were so delicious and both were served with rice spiced with Safran! Finally we had delicious baklava that was so tasty! I'm sure going back there! Very friendly owner and staff! Nice atmosphere! Fair prices! They have also a shop where you can buy Mediterranean grocery items, bread and other items! It is highly recommended!!!”

If you don’t smell like pho for a day or two, than I consider it American friendly. 🤓. It was still delicious and fresh ingredients. My wife has her staple Kao Sao (so?). Very tasty. The fresh rolls were also extremely fresh. Toffey (sp?) our hostess was awesome. She spent time with us discussing the menu and the chefs talents which we know first hand. Emily, our waitress was attentive and prompt and provided excellent service. We have never had a bad meal or service here.”

From being told they dont make a certain burrito anymore that, they still do (just ordered it yesterday) to, getting attitude from the girls working. Like, my service was more of a hassle for them. However, this location (fairview by taco bell), the service was awesome! I actually tipped $10 which, I haven't done in 5 yrs due to the service I would get. This young lady made such an impression on me that I actually felt a tip was necessary. I will be going here and only here from now on. Thank u for ur incredible service. U r appreciated!”

“California Mexican Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️ I tried this Boise fast food Mexican restaurant today for the first time. I got the #18 combo, which is 2 Chile Rellenos, Rice & Beans with tortillas for a little less than $10. I went through the drive-through. The service was fast. I was impressed with the weight of the bag. I was even more impressed when I got back to my office and opened up the box. The food looked fantastic! I liked that the Chile Rellenos came with sour cream and a guacamole-like topping. They were made with nice sized poblano chilies. The flavor was good, and they were full of oozing cheese. If I was to rate these based on appearance and flavor, alone, I would rate them 4/5. However, the seeds were not removed from the poblano chilies before cooking them. Every single recipe I’ve seen for Chile Rellenos instructs you to remove the seeds. You don’t realize why that’s important until you get one with seeds. Eating a bunch of hard plant matter along with one’s Chile Relleno is not a pleasant experience. I’m not sure if this was a one off, or if this is how they normally prepare Chile Rellenos at California Mexican Food. The refried beans looked good, but they tasted sour. The rice was OK. I like that the meal comes with your choice of corn or flour tortillas. I chose flour. The tortillas seemed thick and homemade.”

“My experience at cactus bar has always been phenomenal but last night really made this one of my favorite bars in Boise. A group of me and my friends were approached by a woman who had clearly had too much to drink and started trying to create a physical altercation out of no where. The cactus staff (specifically Craig) did an awesome job at de-escalating and making sure we were comfortable. The staff and manager checked on my friends and I multiple times throughout the night. The atmosphere at this bar is amazing and welcoming. 10/10 would recommend you check this bar out!”

“I popped into Stella’s late one afternoon on my way home from work, looking to treat myself with a pint of ice cream. I couldn’t decide between my usual go-to flavor of mint chocolate chip, or if I wanted to try something new. I wound up doing both and also got a pint of the All Nighter, a coffee-flavored ice cream. They even had peanut butter PUPsicles so I grabbed one of those for my dog. The gal at the counter (who was super helpful while I asked questions about the ice cream flavors) rang me up and I was on my way. I’m almost (but not entirely) embarrassed to admit that I didn’t make it home before I needed to try a bite of the ice cream. I was in standstill traffic, it was hot, and I had a spoon. Or so I thought. I was already committed at that point so I just took a little bite off the top of the opened pint. And another. And another. It was so good that I ate what I could reach without the use of a spoon, then I had to try the other flavor. Both were so good and creamy that I had to force myself to put the lids back on and save some for my husband. My dog is lucky I didn’t break into his pupsicle. Now to the pupsicle. I gave it to my dog as soon as I got home. His little mind was blown by the surprise treat and I sat on the floor with him, holding the pupsicle as he licked it. He didn’t stop until the ice cream was gone and once it was, he still had the cookie part to eat. He rated it 4 paws up and wants another. I will definitely be back to try all the flavors!”

Wait staff was on point, our coffee was always full. Food came out quickly even though the place was busy. I had the eye opener for breakfast and I must say it was some of the best biscuits and gravy I have had. The rest of the food was top notch as well. If you want great food do yourself a favor and head to The Chef's Hut, you won't be disappointed. 10 out of 10.”

“What a cute hidden gem! I have discovered a love for Middle Eastern throughout my travels and this place didn't disappoint. The exterior is very plain, but inside is a restaurant with lots of charm! There are beautiful tiles on the walls and ceilings. Everything is very clean and tidy. The staff are friendly. I ordered the chicken kabob sandwich. The chicken is ground, which was different than any kabob sandwich I've had before. I love the pickled veggies that typically come with Middle Eastern food and I wish I had asked for extra pickles. The pickles really bring out the rich flavors. I'd recommend asking for extra pickles. Also, the food is cooked fresh so they say to allow at least 20 min for your food to be prepared.
Make sure you stop by the attached dessert shop. The pastry chef will tell you all about each dessert offered. All ingredients are from Turkey. He made a Tres Leches that could possibly be the best dessert I've ever tasted...and I love dessert! I would definitely go back- especially for that cake!! Insert chef's kiss!”

We ran about 10 minutes late for our reservation, and when I called, they assured me it was no problem — even though there were people waiting for tables when we arrived. I really appreciated that they still honored our reservation and welcomed us warmly. Our server was attentive, checking in often to make sure everything was just right. The owner, Colton, was engaged with guests, serving, chatting, offering suggestions, and making everyone feel at home. Chef Heidi’s dishes were outstanding. My friend ordered the meatballs (something I usually avoid), but they were absolutely delicious. We also had the fritto misto, zucchini fritters, fettuccine and veal, all fantastic dishes. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate — perfect for a date night. Between the warm hospitality, excellent food, and inviting setting, Vincenzo’s has become a spot we will happily return to.”

Yoooooo, this week's selection was money. The Biscoff tres leches cake was fantastic. I accidentally ordered 2 of the cakes but I didn't mind. It was so good! The raspberry cheesecake cookie was top tier as well! The Kentucky butter cake cookie was sweet and savory. And who doesn't like butter?!? The churro cookie was disappointing. It had way too much cinnamon in it. I ate about a quarter of it and tossed the rest. Sucks throwing a cookie away. I really wish I would have enjoyed it.
Homie that was working tonight was really nice. He got my treats ready for me quickly. 3 out of the 4 rotating cookies were banger. Excited too have my extra Biscoff cake later. I look forward to trying out next week's line up.”

“California Mexican Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️ I tried this Boise fast food Mexican restaurant today for the first time. I got the #18 combo, which is 2 Chile Rellenos, Rice & Beans with tortillas for a little less than $10. I went through the drive-through. The service was fast. I was impressed with the weight of the bag. I was even more impressed when I got back to my office and opened up the box. The food looked fantastic! I liked that the Chile Rellenos came with sour cream and a guacamole-like topping. They were made with nice sized poblano chilies. The flavor was good, and they were full of oozing cheese. If I was to rate these based on appearance and flavor, alone, I would rate them 4/5. However, the seeds were not removed from the poblano chilies before cooking them. Every single recipe I’ve seen for Chile Rellenos instructs you to remove the seeds. You don’t realize why that’s important until you get one with seeds. Eating a bunch of hard plant matter along with one’s Chile Relleno is not a pleasant experience. I’m not sure if this was a one off, or if this is how they normally prepare Chile Rellenos at California Mexican Food. The refried beans looked good, but they tasted sour. The rice was OK. I like that the meal comes with your choice of corn or flour tortillas. I chose flour. The tortillas seemed thick and homemade.”

“This one of my favorite places in Boise. I go there whenever I can. The owners are terrific people and the food is really good. I usually get the grilled panini and some ice cream. I've gotten a couple of their meat pies to go and they were equally delicious. Would absolutely checking them out.”

“I absolutely love this place. I have Celiac disease and they have been so knowledgeable and accommodating. There are lots of options for me! The endive salad is one of the best salads I’ve ever had. I also really enjoy their cocktails. And, as an added bonus they have a lovely patio with misters in the heat. Such a gem to have in East Boise.”
