The first time I had this beautiful dish was in Texas and I thought I would only be able to have it there. But this place totally exceeded my expectations and matched it. The egg tarts were so flaky with the custard having a beautiful texture full of flavor and not overly sweet. Just how like desserts. If I'm ever in Salinas again, this is where I will come back to eat Chinese food. Oh and the Chinese Broccoli amazing!”

“Every single time I go to this restaurant, the food is excellent! Ana is the best server! My family and extended family love, love, love everything we have tried. My current favorite is Hunan Beef. The Singapore Rice Noodles are great, eggplant, every variation of rock cod, Peking pork… They can vary any dish to your liking. The lunches are a good deal, enough food for two meals for me. However, going with my family and getting a variety of dishes is what we like the best. Usually there are six to eight of us and we get to eat all of our favorites.”

What really sets this place apart, though, is the staff. Everyone is genuinely friendly, welcoming, and makes you feel like a regular, even if it’s your first visit. The service is fast, the atmosphere is warm, and you can tell they take pride in what they do.
It’s the kind of local business that’s easy to support because they consistently deliver great food and great customer service. “I got the birra torta here and two tacos al pastor. The tacos were good but the torta was surprisingly delicious upon first bite due to the quality of the birria. The overall taste profile at this location is balanced and deep, meaning it is well-seasoned and flavorful without being excessive or greasy. It is food that can be eaten every day without feeling overloaded. It is also at a very nice location next to a park and lots of trees.
I randomly met the owner one day prior at an unrelated place, and I can see that there is a reason he confidently invited me to try his food, where his lovely wife operates the business and cooking! It is because he knows he can deliver a great food experience! Through word of mouth, I know that I am not the only one who liked the torta here.
There is quite an extensive menu, and I will definitely be back to try more items. I highly recommend the birria. Overall a great spot!”

Had the Paloma Pizzazz which is good if you like grapefruit and their guest beer the Muddlin Forte was sooo good. The only negative was they were out of all their large t-shirts so I'll just have to go shopping online. Hope to be in the area again soon to try some more things.”

My son ordered two rolls, including the fried California roll, and honestly, that ended up being my favourite! It was so tasty and had the perfect mix of flavors. Our waitress, Monica, was great. So much so that I brought my friends at every opportunity. I left the area for about 15 years and upon my return, the first chance I got, returned to Eva's. “I lived in Salinas many years ago, discovered Eva's Cafe by accident and was truly overwhelmed with the food. the atmosphere, and the service. So much so that I brought my friends at every opportunity. I left the area for about 15 years and upon my return, the first chance I got, returned to Eva's. I was so pleased they were still there and again bring my friends over and over. I have traveled the world in my career and can say with honesty Eva's has the best Mexican food on the planet.”

Was awesome positive attitude. Introduced me to manager & brought my coffee right away. She was attentive to my order and brought everything to the T of how Ordered my food. She is a person that likes her Line of work and transmits her positive energy to the whole restaurant. It was an awesome experience. I highly recommend eating at this location. “We recently went to Wing Stop after over 6 months of not trying it. One new thing I noticed and liked was their digital board that shows the progress of your order. Super helpful knowing when your food is coming out instead of just waiting around wondering or having to go to the counter and ask. We ordered the 30 piece meal with 2 drinks and spent $56.89, which honestly felt a bit pricey, but the food was mostly good. We got the Original Buffalo wings, Honey Hot Rub, and Boneless Lemon Pepper. The meal also came with fries and veggies, but we substituted the veggies with the mini corn instead, which was a pleasant surprise that was an option. I am happy the cashier mentioned we could substitute the sides.
The wings were mostly delicious overall. The Honey Hot Rub wings had a really good flavorful coating, but the flavor didn't go all the way into the wing like the others did. The Original Buffalo and Lemon Pepper definitely had more flavor throughout, so we will probably stick with our favorites next time. The fries are honestly some of my favorite fast food fries. They are crispy on the outside, soft inside, and not cut too thin, which is the way I prefer my fries. The ranch is also really good for dipping the fries and wings. I did notice this visit the ranch seemed a little more runny than I remember.
Overall, I love our go to wing flavors, extra enjoy the French fries and the ranch! We do enjoy treating to Wingstop once in a while. We will definitely be back!”

“The Pho and Banh Mi were excellent! One of the best restaurants I have tried in central California: the quality, portions and most especially, the cost, are on point. If you are into Asian/Vietnamese food, then this place is it. This unassuming food court establishment wins out over the majority of the fanciest restaurants in the area. Yes, sometimes the service takes a while, but it was worth it. I highly recommend them if you are at Northridge Mall.”

“I don’t know about you guys, but y’all seriously need to give my girl Rachel a raise. She has some of the best customer service I’ve experienced in a long time. From the very first time I came in, she was so welcoming, helpful, and easy to talk to. She actually takes the time to have conversations with customers instead of just rushing everyone through the line, and that really makes people feel comfortable.
She did an amazing job taking my order, made sure everything was right, and constantly checked that I had everything I needed. Even though we had never met before, she treated me with so much kindness and respect. Employees like Rachel are hard to find these days because she genuinely cares about the customers and creates such a positive experience. She definitely deserves recognition for all the hard work she puts in. Give my girl the raise she deserves! 🫶🏻”
