“Fun bar with great food and staff. Breakfast (and FULL menu) served all day! Drink and food specials, great Happy Hour('s), multiple TV'S, pool table, pinball, lottery. Has its own parking lot, but fills up fast during peak hours. Plenty of neighborhood parking, tho. Hidden gem, worth the trip.”

“We ate there Saturday night. I'll start by saying that there were some minor issues with food coming out of the kitchen in a timely manner. Without asking the manager comped us half our bill. He was very professional about it stating that the service was not up to his standards.Beyond the timing issues, the staff was prompt and professional. The drinks were outstanding and the food was very good. We also liked the space. It is intimate with lots of windows. We expect going back soon.”

“It was truly an amazing experience. Everything was delicious. The staff was awesome. Everyone was friendly. Every dish was better than the last. The twice cooked pork, amazing. The PLAINTAIN BRIOCHE BUNS, delicious and full of flavor. Wish we'd had two servings. The peanut, creamed greens are full of subtle flavor that builds and builds. The smoked ribs ranked among the best grilled beef I've ever had. The BLANCMANGE, with coconut custard, might be the best thing we had. It's a rare experience where we talked about what we want to try next time as we were driving home. Both of us are looking forward to going back again! Oh, and their drinks are amazing as well. Their Hearthfire was filled with flavor and heat! Delicious!”

“Had an evening food tasting here - there were several courses of delicious food provided with the experience. We added on the apple cider vinegar drink, which was the right choice to warm us up for the winter food tasting.Although I had noted with my booking that I'm gluten-free, they brought me a few courses with gluten. I had to keep checking and waiting for a revised course to be provided when the mistake was made. If you have a food sensitivity/allergy, keep this in mind and make sure you check with each serving/meal.If you do a group booking, make sure to let them know you want separate servings as they were bringing us one plate for each course for our group, until we asked them to bring us separate ones. Considering the food tasting is an expensive experience and they charge per person, this was the first time I was brought a single plate/serving for a group booking.”

“Delicious food every time we dine in, and fresh margaritas too. Supporting a queer-owned vegan business makes every bite and sip that much better. I would highly recommend their torta with any of their "meat". Music is a little loud, and it's a small environment. Besides that, the vibes are impeccable. We try to make it in every weekend.”

Appreciated that we didn’t feel rushed by the waiter or that the restaurant was trying to keep the guests revolving through as fast as they could. Was not expecting a few menu items with Asian flair, highly recommend pairing the chilled tom kha mussels and shrimp udon. Husband said oysters were the best he’s had. Really enjoyed having some different drinks to try, like skin contact wine and Amari. Will definitely be back!”

My husband and I split a double scoop waffle cone with:- Passionfruit Yuzu Mochi Donuts & Whey Curd- Pear & Blue Cheese- Arbequina Olive Oil- Strawberry Honey Balsamic with Black PepperFirst off, this is the only place I have been with waffle cones as good as Jeni's, which was a pleasant surprise.Weird flavors are right up my alley, so I was in heaven. The strawberry balsamic was hands down my favorite because the flavor was so intense. The passion fruit one would be my second choice.I would happily come back, but there are many other places I want to try while we're in Portland too. “My son and daughter in law chose this venue for the reception following their wedding. We had a group of less than 20 people in the private dining room. Fantastic experience. Everyone at the restaurant was helpful on coordinating setup prior to the event. The appetizers, cocktails, entrees and desserts all received rave reviews from the wedding guests. Service was on point and we were extremely pleased with everything. Highly recommended for a small group gathering space (the private room is the perfect size for a group of 20). We will dine here again during our next trip to Portland.”

“I have lived in Morocco and been traveling there since the 1970s. my lunch yesterday at Kasbah Moroccan Cafe was undoubtedly the best Moroccan food I have eaten in the US. The food was delicious and authentic. Portions were generous. While we had to eat outside due to Covid, we could see that the inside of the cafe was attractively done in Moroccan style. The owner was very friendly. My son-in-law is Moroccan and he loved the food as well. I unreservedly recommend this place and will make a point of eating there next time I visit Portland.”

“I mean wow, so good. So incredibly good! I didn't realize that Plumb is the kitchen located inside of the bar (Deadshot). It was my first time experiencing something like this (maybe I need to get out more) and it was incredible. The food is made to order so patience is key but luckily theres an amazing bar with handcrafted cocktails to enjoy while you wait. We arrived right at 4pm on Saturday evening and were promptly greeted and seated. We opted for a seat right at the bar. I ordered a red wine and my husband ordered a Deadshot. Then we placed our food order. We ordered the cesar salad, grilled cabbage, burger and steak frites and everything was so incredibly good. Fresh, decadent, perfectly cooked and ever so tasty. Of the items we tried, the cabbage dish was our favorite. I've never had cabbage with bechamel, apples and hazelnuts. It was simply divine! Highly recommend checking this place out!”

“I wanted to try a new place for date night and picked a good one. The food was excellent, the service was warm. I made a reservation for the purple room which has about 4 small tables. There is another room that has more tables and a bar. The restaurant is on the second floor of a converted house. I don't think they have an elevator, so you're aware. We got mostly what the waiter recommended. The chicken liver mousse tart was savory and delicate, crust being flaky and good contrast to the vinaigretted frissee. The grilled cauliflower still had crunch and umami. I picked the duck confit which had delicious crispy crust and a slight sweet, salty sauce. My husband had the pork coppa which is a braised pork shoulder over a sauce with delicious huge beans. I thought all the food was outstanding, the presentation was great and flavors well balanced. Ended the night with an almond flour orange cake, not too sweet. I might have skipped that one because the gelee was a little tart and cake a denser than expected. The waiter was great at helping us navigate the menu. I liked all the choices available and can't wait to try more of them. I don't think there is a wrong choice here. Their menu options rotate.”

“I went to this place for me and my partners anniversary. I have never been and neither had he. The experience was top notch! I came in and the waiter said he was going to change my life and he did just that. “The company I work for has a corporate account and we order sack lunches through Bunk Catering often. We've never had an issue. Always arrives on time and exactly what we ordered. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. I would and do recommend using them for your office lunches. :)”

There was a tired and stressed TRIMET bus driver, who Jay made smile and turned around her day through a promotion he told her about, which was new to the driver. “I was pleasantly surprised when we got there. It had been a while since I had eaten at Denny's, and I had a preconceived notion of what I would experience since this was the same restaurant. I had a semi-bad idea of what I would see, Boy, was I surprised. It was a little bit of a wait when we walked in the door. 3 or 4 small groups ahead of us. But we were seated in under 5 minutes with menus and coffee. The waitress was friendly and VERY upbeat. Food arrived in just the right amount of time, and it was hot!I have to say, I really enjoyed my entire time spent there, AND our dogs got to enjoy a little bit of it also when we got home.Parking: It is a pretty large lot quth lots of parking, a few handicapped spots to choose from, also.”

“I saw the raving reviews so wanted to check this place out. The bahn mi is good bulgogi has good flavor. The meat is pretty chewy though, and I would say the combo definitely is not worth the extra 5 bucks. I'd stick to the sandwich. The service was pretty quick and the lady was very nice. It's a small hole in the wall location. I would however avoid this area after about 5/6pm. This area is home to many people whom reside outside lol. As someone who has been to almost every bahn mi place in Portland I will say comparing to best baguette, bahn mi fresh, and a few other bahn mi places i think killer bahn mi is the best! But it is quite spendy for a bahn mi. You pay for it in the amount of meat they give you but still. If you like this kind of bahn mi I'd recommend also checking out an xuyen bakery. It's this little bakery on like 51st and foster but they have some of the biggest bahn mis I've ever had for 1/2 the price.”

“This is our first time there. Super cute building -very cozy. Everyone that worked there was super kind. The food was delicious. We got the goat cheese and calamari- they were great starters. Then we got scallops and seafood fra diavolo. Absolutely delicious. Lastly, we got the kettle chip dulce de leche ice cream for dessert and that was really good too. If you like fresh brewed iced tea, their iced tea is really good too. We are definitely coming back. This is a great spot for a date night!”

It was an out of body experience and I’m assuming it’s this way because it’s somebody’s life work. It’s the only explanation I have. Intimate but approachable setting, great service, and quality fish. “This is one of those Hollywood steak houses. It's been around forever they get all the big names to sign something for their wall. They have the service and quality food to back it up. “Eager to celebrate the Chinese New Year, my friend and I were craving Chinese food and decided to give Warsugai a try. I'm glad we did! The restaurant is lovely with mint tiles surrounding the bar, a waving kitty on the wall, and plants around the perimeter. The door was opened for us as we entered, and we were seated quickly. Since we wanted to be adventurous and try multiple items on the menu, my friend and I decided to order the Pu Pu Platter. Not really a platter though, our food came out individually and took up the majority of our table. Ours came with the Silken Ota Tofu, Noble House Pork Potstickers, Dungeness Crab Long Rangoon, BBQ Pork Coppa, Sizzling Black Pepper Beef Short Ribs, Taishan Cauliflower, and Warsugai. Everything was flavorful and delicious, so it was hard to pick favorite items. Although I'm not usually a fan of tofu, I enjoyed the differing textures of the soft tofu and crispy potato and scallions. The crab rangoon was amazing! No imitation crab here...Fresh crab rolled up in a spring roll fashion and served with a chili sauce. Yum! We also enjoyed the bbq pork coppa which came with a dollop of mustard which complimented the pork nicely. Finally, the Warsugai itself was delicious. Lightly fried chicken which was not overly heavy or greasy topped with almond gravy and almond slivers on a bed of shredded lettuce. So good! Your server will check you out at your table which is convenient, but also a little awkward since he or she will be in front of you when the machine prompts for a tip and a rating of your meal and service. This was not a deterrent since everything was wonderful. Hoping they will add a dessert item or two to the menu someday. We loved our experience at Warsugai and look forward to elevated Chinese food again soon!”
