“Was in the neighborhood and saw this place so we went and tried it. The place is located in the Blossom Market Place next to San Gabriel Mission. There is plenty of parking off the street or public parking lots. Now to the foods. We ordered the jerk chicken and the curry chicken with rice and the famous Jamaican beef patty(their version of empanadas). The Jerk chicken was good but not enough robust flavor compares to other Jamaican restaurants. The curry chicken was good but again, way to water down for preference. However, the beef patty was tasty and made fresh as you order them. Wish that the crust could be a bit more crispy. Order at the counter and pick up your food or wait about 10 minutes pending on how busy they are. It’s a bit pricey for all the entrees.”

“I'm usually not a big fan of lamb, but this place really knows how to prepare it. My favorite dish is definitely the lamb ribs they're incredibly tender, flavorful, and practically fall off the bone. Even someone who doesn't normally enjoy lamb would probably appreciate how well they're cooked here. I also tried the milk tea and really enjoyed it. The regular version was great, although I wasn't a fan of the salty milk tea since it just wasn't my personal taste.
The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, so seating can feel a bit limited during busy times. However, the food more than makes up for it. The quality, flavor, and tenderness of the lamb keep me coming back. If you're looking for a place that does lamb exceptionally well, this spot is definitely worth checking out.”

Parking is super easy since it’s located in a huge plaza.

I got here around 11:00 AM and waited in line for about 20 minutes. The line was mostly filled with older people speaking Cantonese, which told me right away that this place is super authentic!

The Beef Chow Fun is super flavorful and comes in a huge portion.
Their $12.99 breakfast combo is also a great deal with a huge portion—though it's pretty much pure carbs! And the best part is they still let you order it even after the breakfast hours.

You also get free refills on the Hong Kong style milk tea, and you can even take it to go for free. The iced version is the best, especially in the summer!

Unlike a lot of other places where the food is good but the service is terrible, the staff here is incredibly welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend!”

“I googled "best Chinese in LA" and then this popped up as the #1 place. So we drove - and had a very good meal. However, if you expect the classic Chinese dishes, you will be disappointed. This is Shezuan, "a different animal". So no rice, no sweet-and-sour-this-and-that. So be prepared for very spicy Szechuan food. Noodles. No rice. Try the dumplings, they were delicious. We ordered mild (1 out of 5 spice degrees) and we were burning inside (we had two separate orders of dumplings - but spice grade 1. There is no consistency, so be careful). So if spicy is what you are "in" for, you'll love it. The ambiance is sort of authentic ;-) - the sign on how to use the toilet (outside the restaurant in the alley) says more than words. But then, it was $100 all-in for the four of us only. My advice: I could barely understand the service language. Better check the menu before you go. As we were first-timers, I wanted to share three starters and three mains among the four of us and leave it up to the waitress to make us explore - she did not understand. I asked if they served beer. The answer was "noodles or dumplings". :-)”

The young lady there appears inattentive and unsure of the process. Even after joining the Yelp waitlist ahead of time, we're left standing without explanation for 5-10 minutes each visit until another staff member takes over and seats us.
The lack of coordination at the entrance gives the impression that no one is actually managing the line properly.
Fortunately, the rest of the staff are warm and professional, and the hot pot options are solid.”

“A typical fancy omakase meal that I’m not sure if I would come back.

The menu only had 2 choices, wagyu or seafood set, $128 person. I enjoy most of the food, out of 11 courses, there 4 dishes with different type of steak, while the meat is good I think I expected more creativity?( Caz honestly I could probably do that at home myself with the quality of the meat).

I feel the restaurant lacks decoration compare to most fancy upscale restaurant, so without the atmosphere, the vibe, the setting. I think the experience would be for food for the most part … and I feel like they could make it more fancy if that make sense”

“Came here to try a new Thai spot after going to President Thai down the street for years and wanting something different. We ordered from the dinner menu, which comes with soup or salad, egg rolls or wontons, and white rice or shrimp fried rice, a great value.

I got the chicken pad Thai and everything was so flavorful and delicious. My boyfriend ordered the yellow curry and it was absolutely amazing, rich and creamy with a coconut base that honestly reminded me of my mom’s Vietnamese curry.

The owner was also incredibly kind and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the meal. Such a welcoming experience. We’ll definitely be back soon!”

“Red Chicken Thai is a small corner Thai food spot in San Gabriel Valley. They have a breadth of food and drink items. Its interior was modest with little to no aesthetic decor.

However, the atmosphere was relaxing for customers. Their dining area have 8 tables that can accommodate thirty people. It was my first time visit and I had a default Pad Woon Sen x Iced Lemon tea. Both are good in taste, flavor and portion. Service was spot on as well as the price (affordable). Staff was competent and attentive. Plenty of street and rear parking. Collectively, this is a good Thai spot.

Overall, I had a good experience and enjoyed their food.”

I ordered the strawberry slush but removed the ice cream. It comes with boba and u can choose which one using the substitution. Adding a topping is $0.85 per topping if its boba and more for other toppings. I had mango boba, which is only available on weekends and fridays. The boba is pretty good and freshly made, although the quality can sometimes vary. The mango boba tastes actually like mango and isn't simply just a coloring or very light, unlike some places with flavored boba.
In terms of the drink itself, it is one of the best strawberry slushes I've ever had, with the flavor tasting authentic. Since it's blended, there are some smaller ice bits that aren't fully slush-consistency, but apart from that, I'd definitely recommend this drink for those who like strawberry or fruit.
The one issue I have is that on the kiosk, the prices shown when selecting drinks don't include tax and only show them when u checkout, which can be annoying since many other stores do include tax when showing product prices. Because of that, the drinks can be somewhat pricey compared to other places, but on the plus side, the quality is amazing.”

“The Northeastern flavor of braised delicacies, my husband and I packed a lot and took them back to the San Francisco Bay Area. I just got home and ate Harbin red sausage and smoked chicken rack. The taste is exactly the same as what is sold in our hometown in Shenyang. Why is it not available in the Bay Area? The red sausage meat is moderately salty and has a light garlic aroma, which is so rare. The same goes for the smoked chicken rack, which is not salty and has a full flavor of five-spice smoke. I'm looking forward to bringing back the pork head meat, because pork head meat is difficult to cook and requires a lot of effort to shave off the hair. I heard that the two owners are both from Shenyang. I hope that a store like this can be opened in Los Angeles for a long time, because the Chinese restaurants in Los Angeles are really bad. If this store opened in the Bay Area, it would kill other stores in a matter of seconds.”

“I have been to this hot pot restaurant for years and love it. The newly remodel decoration is so nice and they have refrigerators outside which is convenient for customers to get dishes and skewers. The beef is freshly cut upon ordering. We have ordered a lot of skewers and they are only 0.49 per skewer which is super cheap. We like the beef, the vegetables, and pork brain! I loved the fried rice and it came with big portion.”

My husband and I stopped by for a little date night, and what we witnessed was truly greatness in motion.
They were clearly understaffed — only one person working the front counter and drive-thru at the same time, and one cook in the back preparing orders and stepping in to assist when needed. Despite that, both of them remained calm, professional, and incredibly friendly.
There was no frustration, no attitude — just focus, teamwork, and grace under pressure. You could see how hard they were working, yet they still made us feel welcomed and valued.
They even brought our food to our table, which we didn’t expect at all. That level of service, especially while short-staffed, really stood out to us.
Five stars for professionalism, composure, and dedication. We truly appreciated the experience.”

Went for the hot pot & BBQ buffet combo. You can pick one broth or go with a double/triple split. Lots of options on the buffet line.

A few standouts:
- Argentine red shrimp – plump, firm, with a nice snap
- Frog legs – surprisingly huge
- Oysters – fat and briny
- Grilled eggplant – soft and fully soaked in garlic sauce; every bite was pure flavor
- Grilled shrimp and grilled chicken skin– also really good

The sauce station was clean, and sodas are self-serve. They're open until 1 or 2 AM – perfect for late-night cravings.”

“I don’t know why it took me so long to discover this place! I got the acai bowl, and for the price, it’s an incredible deal. The best part is that all the toppings and bases are unlimited, so you don’t have to stress about choosing just one.

The acai itself wasn’t overly sweet, which paired perfectly with the fresh fruit. Everything tasted fresh and balanced.

“Back in October, my friends and I spent a month vacation in Vietnam and we were introduced to Com Tam. We wanted to see if King Com Tam Vietnamese Restaurant is as authentic as we had in Vietnam.

Com tam - Vietnamese broken rice is rice that was broken during the milling process. If you're unfamiliar, broken rice has a couscous-like texture. The broken rice plate options might seem extensive, but it's just rice with various combinations of pork chop, beef, pork, fried bean curd with shrimp paste, egg roll, sausage, shredded pork and skin, and steamed egg loaf. All served with veggies, a small bowl of broth, and fish dipping sauce. The plates run from $12.99 to $20.99 for the 10-item plate. If you don't see exactly the plate combination you're looking for, you can just tell the waiter which items you want and they'll charge accordingly. Just ask if you can swap items.

Not Vietnam authentic, but then again I am no expert but definitely satisfied our cravings and brought back memories of our month long trip. We loved it so much that a month ago during the rainy weather that we went back so we can try the noodle soup/pho. The portions were generous for around $13.99 a bowl. I was craving Bun bo Hue, Vietnamese spicy beef noodle soup and my friends ordered beef pho and hu tieu, a Vietnamese Phnom Penh-style seafood noodle soup with pork and shrimp. It was good but I've had better.

Service was good. The ambiance and presentation is spot on.”

“Recommended by my partner during our date on a hot day, this boba shop is located in the back of a plaza in SGV, although a moderate size parking lot, it can fill out pretty quickly. The shop is small with no tables, only benches inside & outside, it could get pretty cramped in the shop since it was pretty busy when we arrived.

It's always nice to have a boba shop that has kiosk ordering & ordering via register. They have plentiful of menu options including specialties in oolong teas. Cups are a huge factor for me when reviewing drink shops and Chun Yang Tea is definitely on the higher quality side of cups. They're sturdy, cute design, and no spills.

My partner and I waited about 15 minutes for our drink during peak hours which is pretty quick. Highly recommend to order online ahead of time to skip waiting times.”

“This is a nice casual Hong Kong style dim sum place. They steam the dishes when ordered so they taste good. There are a few tables inside so you can eat inside. I tried the classic dim sum dishes pork Siu mai, shrimp har Kao, and Xiao long Bao. They were quite well made. I also had their pork congee. They were authentic Hong Kong dishes and priced reasonably. Parking is limited on the main parking lot. There are more spaces at the parking lot one level lower entered around the block.”

They even opened 10 minutes early for us because we didn’t realize they weren’t open yet. They made 3 bobas in under 5 minutes and they were PERFECT. We got Sour Plum (green) Tea, Kumquat (green) Tea, and Taro Ice Slush. Great sweetness, great boba, great tea. The best part was the price! It was so inexpensive especially in comparison to other shops who would literally charge you double the price. Highly recommend.”

“This is a very small dim sum place, one two table for 4 person, and 2 tables for 2. So maximum only 12 people can dine it. However, the dim sum here is one of the best we have had. Siu mai was rich in flavor and meaty. Stick rice and cheong fun were both top notched. Xiao longbao was juicy too. Due to the small dining area, I imagined it will be difficult at peak hour. Or you just need to take out. But if you do take out, the dim sum may not taste as good. Dilemma. But we were very happy with the food and service.”

“Array 36 is a solid choice for high end Chinese food in Los Angeles. While most of the dishes are Shanghainese, there are many good choices from other cuisines, including Peking duck. The ambience is modern, with dark lighting, so definitely not what you typically find in your Chinese restaurant in the US.We like it particularly for hosting guests, Chinese and non-Chinese alike.”

“I really enjoyed the BBQ meats at Auntie’s Kitchen in San Gabriel. The BBQ pork, roast pork, and roast duck were all delicious, and each one had its own standout flavor and texture.

The roast pork was especially good—the skin was really crispy and crunchy, while the meat inside stayed juicy and tender. The roast duck was also excellent, with a wonderful aroma and rich, savory flavor. The meat was juicy, tender, and very flavorful.

The restaurant itself is a bit small, but it feels cozy and comfortable. Overall, it’s a great spot if you’re craving flavorful Chinese BBQ meats. I’d definitely come back for the roast pork and roast duck!”

“Very nice small restaurant selling specialty noodles and some side items. The potato noodles have a firmer texture, kinda like soba, the soup was delicious. Chicken bone was also very good. There was an old couple working there, very friendly. Price was reasonable, highest it goes was $13 for the house special noodle. Overall a great place to try something new and unique.”

“Finally tried this place out after driving past it for the nth time. They do $1.50 taco Tuesdays and is parked right next to the Starbucks off Duarte and Rosemead. A bit more difficult to get to if you're coming from east of the intersection due to the median island and no U turn restriction, but damn their food is worth the trouble. Their al pastor is very well seasoned and probably my favorite protein out of all the choices. Tacos come with grilled onions and a piece of potato, with thick cut cucumbers and slices of lime. Nachos are loaded with sauces and burritos are packed with flavors. They have 4 sauces, 2 red and 2 green. The thicker, opague looking ones are the spicier of the 4, while the clearer 2 are the less spicy ones.

Ever since my favorite taco truck at the vons plaza been swarmed with customers for the past couple months on Tuesdays, I've been looking for an alternative. And dare I say it, I think I've found it.”

Cold noodles were very good - super chewy and refreshing. Gamjatang had three massive pork bones with plenty of meat. I will be coming back :)”

I ordered through the Hungry Panda app since they had a coupon that made it cheaper or else it would be kind of pricey. I ordered the Cheesy Mango Smoothie with less sweet. They have a small storefront with only two or three tables so it's more of a grab and go boba store.

The drink was ready in around 5 minutes and it was super easy to pick up. I really liked the drink. The blended mango smoothie tasted very fresh and not artificial. And the taste of mango and cheese foam goes so well together. I can see why cheese foam is so popular with fruit smoothies.

“If you're in LA or the SGV and you haven't tried this coffee shop, you're definitely missing out.

I did try a few of their drinks but one in particular stood out. Starting with the bayberry jasmine, this is perfect for if you do not have a sweet tooth, and the bayberry adds a refreshing tart taste.

And this was the first place I've seen do a pear matcha combo, and after trying it, it really works. Definitely recommend if you haven't tried it before.

But my favorite has to be the Kyoho grape lemon tea. It's made with those big juicy Asian grapes, and it's SO delicious. This drink is genuinely a 10/10.
