“K-Bob is such a cute little shop! We walked in and Peter was so accommodating and friendly with menu recommendations and suggestions. We got our food pretty quickly and enjoyed the K-pop music that was playing at just the right volume. My husband enjoyed his beef rolls. I was a little surprised to receive my ramen in a microwave cup, but it was pretty tasty, if a bit spicier than I typically choose. There were lots of customers coming in and out but it wasn't too crowded or cramped. I was a little disappointed to see that they don't recycle their soda cans. Overall a very pleasant impromptu meal.”

“I am Chinese but I am not new to India food. Among all India buffet in the Tri-Valley area, I would give Pakka Local the highest ranking with their authenticity, taste, ambiance, and variety.

Their Dragon Chicken has a very different flavor than the tandoori style and a must-try. The masala dosa is my other favorite. For $25 lunch buffet over the weekend, we even have finger millet ragi sangati, mango lassi, and shrimp curry. I cannot think of another buffet place that offers that many high quality authentic food options.

For every dish that I am not aware of, I have been using Claude AI to learn more background of the dish and the appropriate way to appreciate the dish. Well done Pakka Local!

“We love this place, but my only complaint is that there are no kids portions/options. You have to understand from parent perspective. If my kids don’t like anything I am not going there even if I love it. Kids don’t always like same food, so now I’m stuck with getting each kid full price item. For example one of my kids likes chicken noodle soup but he can never finish the whole thing. The other one does not like it so 1/2 of it is a waste. Now I got to order something for the other kid which loved chicken satay which he also does not finish. You see how it quickly adds up. And I guess it’s ok if they eat the whole thing but they don’t. So when we choose a place to go we would more likely to go somewhere where they have kids menu. Also kids don’t eat complicated dishes, esp spicy food or souses so ordering from regular menu is very tough. For example they dont like pineapple fried rice which might seem like a tasty dish for kids but not all kids eat that. Just asking for some plain kids options, I’d be here many more times a week. But at this point, I can only take the fam here 1x every couple of weeks max.”

When I arrived, she made sure I received the discount. She could have easily not mentioned it, so I really appreciated her honesty and how much she cared about the customer.

I was greeted and helped by Cristobal. He was professional, courteous, and helpful. I bought the BYOB (build your own bag). For the amount you pay- you get a LOT of food! (At least I feel this way).
Everything was carefully packed in the bag, and because I ordered my hamburger in a lettuce wrap- it was tucked halfway around the cutest little wrap featuring the famous Chicken Star ⭐. It was cute enough to make me smile ☺. To me, it's the simple things that count.
I was there for maybe about 30 min while I ate. The restaurant was deserted, but I noticed that he kept busy, even with little to no customers. The entire restaurant visible to customers, was spotlessly clean!!

It's clean, it's fully equipped with proper employees, fully stocked with all needs and necessities, and even their employees seem happier than most other McDonald's employees! “Absolutely delicious home-style desi food! Uma’s Kitchen has become one of our favorites. Everything tastes fresh, flavorful, and genuinely homemade, and the food is always super clean and well prepared.

“Came here for dinner recently and the food was excellent. We only had the Hawaiian dishes but everyone in the group really enjoyed their meal. Service was also fantastic and it had a nice atmosphere.
Definitely a hidden Gem of San Ramon.”

“The atmosphere was great and the service was friendly, but the food was far too greasy for my taste. There was literally a layer of melted butter sitting on top of the meat, which made it feel unnecessarily heavy and masked the flavor. With less butter and grease, the food would be much better.”

“I ALMOST gave it a 5 stars, but the birria was not as crispy or flavorful as I would have liked. The fries could also be crispier, especially in the Cali burrito. But overall, the carne asada burrito and fish taco were really spot on. I’m from San Diego and LA, so I have high standards for Mexican food. We don’t have a place like this in the tri-valley, so I’m glad it’s here! Will definitely be back, and likely during late nights!”
