The atmosphere is charming, business casual attire at least because it's a nice place, piano music playing, charming. The crepe myrtle tree in the front is something else!! Gigantic! Anyway a must stop if you're wanting Italian.”

The food was like an explosion of delicious 🤤 flavors in my mouth! We tried the chicken samosas, tikka masala, butter chicken, garlic naan & butter naan plus a hibiscus lemonade (so good) and had plenty of leftovers for dinner! It’s safe to say we will definitely be back, they were so kind and I loved the eclectic yet cozy atmosphere. Came on recommendation from two different locals who said this was the best restaurant in Lafayette. We were not disappointed. Reservations were needed, but the hostess was able to accommodate us by the kitchen. It worked out GREAT. Was able to see the chef, Sullivan, and his crew perform their magic on each of the dishes. Every member of the staff was very friendly - from the hostess, servers, chef, our waiter Zach, and the general manager Aaron. Just get two orders of the Roasted Oysters to start. Trust me on this one. Even the Mac and Cheese was delicious! The creme brulee was delectably perfect. Get it! If cocktails are your jam, you won't be disappointed with the selection. My only gripe was that it was very loud on a Saturday at 7 PM. Felt like it was a night club. Made conversation challenging at times. If you need to change diapers, the unisex bathrooms will have accommodations for your baby. A thoughtful touch. Will definitely return if I ever come back to Lafayette.”

From the moment we entered the establishment we knew this was going to be fun. The vibe of music, conversations and surroundings hit the right notes. It went from fried green tomatoes to a wedge salad for two and finally both smoked fried chicken and steak and Frites. We were not rushed but rather enjoyed conversation with Kate, she was so knowledgeable about every aspect of the establishment and impressed us immensely. “What a place! A beautiful music venue off of the downtown main strip. Live music every night they are open. Local artists, great drinks, magical place.

Lots of space and tables for large crowds. There are private party areas along both side with booths. Main floor has plenty of tables for seating. And even better, they leave space for a little dancing in front of the stage.

The bartenders are fantastic and knowledgeable. Make a mean old fashioned. Be sure to get it with Bullet Rye. Louisiana taps for beers, full bar, and wonderful people. This place is the vibe for downtown Lafayette.

When things are super busy, they do have a secondary bar and upstairs lounge seating.”

Plus it's on the Northside of Lafayette and the Northside is the best side. I love the excitement and the rush that comes along. but please drunk folks that decide to get in my drive thru, stop Changing ur orders as soon as yu get to my window. and if I can't hear yu ordering on speaker maybe cut ur car off or get the person sitting in the driver seat to order for yu. no judgements but dam. We had the fried chicken and gravy, crawfish sauce croissants and fish tops with crawfish sauce on top of fries. We will be back!! This is a hidden gem. Don’t miss out! Our oysters were served to us luke warm and didn't look or taste "charbroiled" at all. The stuffing that came on top of mine was cold in the middle and the sauce that came with it on the side was cold as well. Ive never in my life been served cold cooked oysters! Absolutely disgusting. Won't be back. Years ago when I came everything was good but now its a big no for me. Disappointed amd dissatisfied after this lunch. O and let me not forget to mention our waitress was very unattentive and never came check on us after we received our food. So that made the experience suck too!”

This place prepares the hot sausage the way we usually like it in New Orleans and the bread is not bad as well. They are a little pricey but well worth it. My family and I will surely make this a go to place from now on. I think all we need to convince them to do is add Big Shot drinks to their selection.”

Since I had the morning and most of the afternoon free the day after my arrival I decided to head to Vermillionville to explore the historic village and have lunch at La Cuisine de Maman. What a great decision!! The food at the restaurant was delicious. I had the plate lunch with a cup of seafood gumbo to start. Everything was really good. The plate lunch that day was crawfish etouffee over rice, smothered green beans, fried shrimp with tartar sauce, and a big biscuit. Portions were very generous; I thought that some of the food might overflow onto the table.😊 I didn't have room for dessert; although I've since been told by lots of people that I should have taken it with me. After eating, I explored the village. What an amazing blend of history and culture it is! I can't wait to return.”

“This place genuinely exceeded my expectations in every aspect!! I still can’t stop thinking about it! I found out about them through the Foodies of Lafayette page and people did not lie. We tried the Pork Belly Bahn Mi (which alone is such a fun, creative menu item for a place like this) and 3 portion BBQ plate. NOTHING disappointed, good LAWD. I also honestly feel like the BBQ plate is extremely fairly priced for how much high quality food you get. We tried the prime brisket, pork, and st.Louis ribs and everything was incredible. Also some of THE best corn maque choux I’ve ever had as a side. The pork belly bahn mi was also obviously as good as the pictures looked. Aside from the food, the atmosphere is incredibly stylish and comfortable, with a modern vintage look, nice spacious seating, and incredible bathrooms. The customer service was top notch too! Everyone was incredibly helpful and seemed so passionate and hard working, always staying attentive and busy. I genuinely feel so lucky to have experienced something so refreshing in so long, it’s been so rare to find a gem like this!”

Only small downside is that they bring out all the food separately but that’s because it’s being made fresh. Definitely worth giving a try!!”

Had a overpowering taste of roux which really made the meal unworthwhile. I've eaten at Chris's a number of times before and not had this issue so there is the unknown of why it was soo bad this time. I will think twice before visiting again.”
