We tried many different drinks called Hot sauce, Chantilly, Expresso martini, dirty classic martini!! All are top notch drinks. The food was great!! “I ventured to Lafayette to attend Festival International. Since I had the morning and most of the afternoon free the day after my arrival I decided to head to Vermillionville to explore the historic village and have lunch at La Cuisine de Maman. What a great decision!! The food at the restaurant was delicious. I had the plate lunch with a cup of seafood gumbo to start. Everything was really good. The plate lunch that day was crawfish etouffee over rice, smothered green beans, fried shrimp with tartar sauce, and a big biscuit. Portions were very generous; I thought that some of the food might overflow onto the table.😊 I didn't have room for dessert; although I've since been told by lots of people that I should have taken it with me. After eating, I explored the village. What an amazing blend of history and culture it is! I can't wait to return.”

“Loved it!!!! I haven’t had real seafood in a hot minute. I knew it would be good when I pulled up to the building. I smelled the spice as soon as I walked in, I ordered crawfish, snow crab legs and blue crabs. We went with the mild seasoning (I smelled the spice and my baby is NY born soooo…) anyway… the taste was amazing, very flavorful and not too spicy… Spiced enough to have your nose running but not overbearing. It was cooked to order, still hot after 30mins plus and the lady brought the pans to us (which she didn’t have to do, but I thought when she said 20mins that I’d give them 30mins before going in). Great meal!!! Would definitely go again!!! Just in town for the football tournament but I’d take another weekend drive to get some more.”

“This entire experience was a 10/10. The service was amazing, our server Josiah was fantastic, he was knowledgeable and extremely personable. The cook, I didn't catch her name, was so friendly and seemed genuinely happy to be there. She interacted with us multiple times and talked about how much she enjoyed preparing the food we ordered. The atmosphere is perfect for date night. It is a quiet, calm, relaxed, and traditional French atmosphere. The food is amazing, everything we ordered was more delicious than the last thing. The foie gras mousse may be the best thing I've ever tasted! A couple of things to note before you go: This is NOT fast food! Don't think this is the place to grab a nice dinner before an 8pm movie. Dinner is in the traditional French style and takes 2.5 to 3 hours, ENJOY it! They take your entire order up front, all 3 courses. This is important to keep the timing of the preparation. Everything is prepared when ordered so it is an amazing experience. Please understand these things before you go and then get upset because it takes a while. Be patient and have some amazing wine and bread and relax! I promise it is worth it.”

“A perfect fusion of American classics and Louisiana dishes cooked over open wood-fueled flame , served up in a comfortable and modern concept. Came on recommendation from two different locals who said this was the best restaurant in Lafayette. We were not disappointed. Reservations were needed, but the hostess was able to accommodate us by the kitchen. It worked out GREAT. Was able to see the chef, Sullivan, and his crew perform their magic on each of the dishes. Every member of the staff was very friendly - from the hostess, servers, chef, our waiter Zach, and the general manager Aaron. Just get two orders of the Roasted Oysters to start. Trust me on this one. Even the Mac and Cheese was delicious! The creme brulee was delectably perfect. Get it! If cocktails are your jam, you won't be disappointed with the selection. My only gripe was that it was very loud on a Saturday at 7 PM. Felt like it was a night club. Made conversation challenging at times. If you need to change diapers, the unisex bathrooms will have accommodations for your baby. A thoughtful touch. Will definitely return if I ever come back to Lafayette.”
