“My wife and I had dinner at Sarrica’s Little Italy last night, and both the service and the food were outstanding. She ordered the Pasta Alla Lurida—rich, delicious, and generous enough to bring some home. I had the Guancia Di Manzo, which was absolutely amazing; the meat was melt‑in‑your‑mouth, fork‑tender perfection. For dessert, we enjoyed a pastry crafted to look exactly like a ripe lemon. The shell was filled with a wonderfully smooth, flavorful filling, and we were both amazed at how realistic it looked. If you’re looking for a truly great dining experience, I highly recommend Sarrica’s.”

I informed her that my shrimp was over cooked and was very hard to chew. She said she would inform the manager….we waited 8 minutes and no manager came. We watched him walk back and forth without ever acknowledging me. When the waitress passed back I asked her what did he say, she said oh, he said that how they cook it. Finally after 5 minutes or so he came, saw and said him self that my shrimp was overcooked and that he’ll be back. I waited and waited he never came back. I had the shrimp poboy that had a total of 5 and a half shrimp on it. It was like they took pieces of crust and stuck it between bread. My friend got up and stopped him to ask what’s going on because he never came back. He told her that I couldn’t be accommodated because I ate some it. They were all very unprofessional. I’ll never go back there. That definitely not how you handle business and the customer.”

Since I had the morning and most of the afternoon free the day after my arrival I decided to head to Vermillionville to explore the historic village and have lunch at La Cuisine de Maman. What a great decision!! The food at the restaurant was delicious. I had the plate lunch with a cup of seafood gumbo to start. Everything was really good. The plate lunch that day was crawfish etouffee over rice, smothered green beans, fried shrimp with tartar sauce, and a big biscuit. Portions were very generous; I thought that some of the food might overflow onto the table.😊 I didn't have room for dessert; although I've since been told by lots of people that I should have taken it with me. After eating, I explored the village. What an amazing blend of history and culture it is! I can't wait to return.”
