First time in New Orleans. The matzo ball soup was so good that it took me back to the days when my grandmother used to make me a bowl! Welty's will not disappoint anybody! Nothing but five stars across the board for this amazing business!
Super local place where the regulars are regular and everyone has a great attitude. Food is also great here especially their daily special. If I lived in NOLA, I'd be here on the regular too!
After having heavy food and drinking all weekend, I came here for a salad. Amazing! I got the Asian chicken and it was perfect. Light, crispy, absolutely perfect for a quick and refreshing bite.
Awesome food and very nice people. I showed up just a few minutes before they closed and they let me stay and eat my lunch without a problem!
Fresh salads, soups, and sandwiches. Along with real unsweetened iced tea. Great place for lunch.

golden chips makes excellent belgian fries, crispy fried yuca and sauces. the staff are friendly and helpful. vegetarians can feel safe as they are careful to keep the meat and vegetables separate as well as being very helpful in checking labels for food allergies. they offer a frequent customer rewards card which i have no trouble filling because they make delicious food. if you are looking for a veg friendly place that makes affordable tasty fries with a selection of house made sauces, i highly recommend this restaurant.
Everything is fresh. Travelled the state's. Best food I've had in two months. Cosy, good music and worth a visit.
As a NOLA Native and someone who works in the French Quarter, I'm always looking for convenient and delicious places for lunch. This place is SO good. Fries A+, Fried Chicken A+. Its all SO GOOD.
Food was good.. peppernaise is my new favor sauce. Great customer service as well
Best fries in new orleans, and the people at the counter are so nice! Very clean, including the bathroom. Good prices, especially considering the area.

I had one of my best lunches here. One that still makes me happy. We initially avoided the place because of the long queue. We stumbled here tired and hungry before crashing into our hotel which was right across and luckily there was no queue! Every morsel was delicious. I wonder how they managed such amazing flavors into even simple food. A must try!!! I tried shrimp with grit and my partner tried sandwich. Absolutely delectable !
Fabulous Breakfasts!!! Several locations around town. Fresh, real food & juice. Biscuits are amazing. Be prepared to wait to be seated they are always busy. Pleasant staff who are all really working it hard.
The peacemaker is the way to go, so you can try two great biscuits. The fried chicken is seasoned well and is juicy. The corned beef is fresh and topped with a poached egg. Also tried the banana foster (like a French toast) it is good. I have had better, but it is worth a try. They are always packed, so be ready for a wait.
All the eggs benedict look amazing. I regret not ordering one. Biscuits are large and fluffy. Maple butter was very good. Shrimp and grits were amazing. The sauce used made all the difference. I tried a milk Brandy which was good. Similar to a white Russian without the Kahlua. Service was quick, area was neat and clean. I would definitely recommend to anyone staying at the Sheraton as it's a block away.
Ruby Slipper Cafe is a solid New Orleans Breakfast spot with the convenience of the No Wait app feature to avoid the long lines (accessed on their website or Yelp). For me, the ability to check the wait times in advance and add a party to the list from the comfort of my hotel was a bigger seller! The food is mostly a win as well. The specials tend to be really good and the Chicken St. Charles may be their best regular dish. When it comes to visiting New Orleans during busy times, convenience has to be considered, and Ruby Slipper having the No Wait app feature may save you an hour or longer waiting for your first meal of the day!

Lunch here is fantastic. However, I would not recommend ordering breakfast here, at least not to-go. Every time I have done so I was the only person in the restaurant yet still had to wait 15-20 minutes for one item - an egg and cheese sandwhich. What was more disappointing was my last visit. I ordered a egg and cheese breakfast burrito, simply with tomato added. Again, I was the only person present. I waited 15 minuted for my to-go burrito, whilst a customer that came in 10 minutes after me received his order right after I got mine. I sat to eat my burrito only to realize a serious lack of cheese and an overabundance of cold, large-chunk tomato slopped on top, not cooked in like an actual ingredient. Needless to say, I was less than satisfied. I've been told by multiple coworkers as well that ordering breakfast their really is annoying and you might as well not do it unless you've got time on your hands.
The shrimp and grits were awesome! Wonderful way to begin our New Orleans experience.
Nice place for lunch. Place your order at the counter and take a seat, they'll bring it to you. Great food, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. However, the gumbo is so good...just try it for yourself. Be sure to leave a tip, because they also clean your table after you've finished.
Great place, super friendly staff. Got the shrimp and slaw po boy and it was fantastic, the bread was absolutely amazing. Also had a cup of the gumbo, very good. I'd definitely go back.
First time in New Orleans and this place tops my list of must-return restaurants. Only open for lunch, amazing food and service. Brett gave me pointers on where to go, what to do, and some great tips on city travel. I think the service from Brett may top the Cuban that I had, which is hard to do, because it was unbelievable! It's very simple...you must go here. Period. I'll be back for lunch tomorrow :)

Go here pretty often when we're working downtown. Fast service and the food is always fresh. They have daily hot lunch plates. Poboys are really good. Reasonable price for lunch and the ladies that make your food are very friendly and make you feel like family.
The food was awesome but the best part was when my family of 11 walked in the door we were welcomed warmly. We all had different and complicated orders but we're served swiftly and again the ladies were awesome. We all came from Arizona so extraordinary service such as this is not the norm at home and all the ladies blew our socks off. My girlfriend wasn't feeling good and one of he ladies noticed and brought her back to the bathroom and have her some seltzer water. Again awesome wholesome food but what made it better was the incredible service the people of Commerce Resteraunt provided.
The food here is awesome! My husband and I had breakfast here during our recent trip to New Orleans. We each got a hot sausage and bacon omelet with toast and potatoes. The service was good, the food was awesome and the drinks were icy cold. Wishing I could get another omelet right about now...
The service was outstanding. Everyone was nice and spoke to you like you were a friend. The food was great. Prices were very reasonable as well, cheaper than most of the tourist places.
Great Gumbo. Clean and impressive restaurant. Very friendly waiter. Fast service too.
