My go to restaurant when I visit New Orleans! The staff is genuine, and warm, you feel like they are glad to host you. Seriously, I could go on, about how great the people are, but I don't want to underscore the quality of the food. Carmo features unique vegan and vegetarian friendly food at fair prices. The quality is amazing, the portions are ample, even the plating stands out. This place proves that as a customer, you don't have to make sacrifices if you want dine on vegan or vegetarian cuisine. To be clear, I've taken several friends here, all omnivores and all loved it. Please open a location in Baton Rouge!
Delicious! I'm not a vegan, but I had vegan choices. The salads were yummy and the chocolate coffee pecan cake was fabulous! All the people are sweet and helpful, especially the owner!!! You need to try it and you won't be disappointed!
Sooooo good! This restaurant offers so many amazing options for those with any dietary preferences. I had a vegetarian Rico and passion fruit mousse, and it was easily the best meal I had all week. Plus, their food is sustainably sourced, which is always a plus!
I had the vegan version of the Esmeralda salad. It was amazing. The flavors are wonderful and mix well together. If the rest of their food tastes as good as this, you have to give them a try. Everyone working there is friendly and attentive. I will definitely be back.
5* for the food and the service. I had vegan and nod vegan options.. and both were great. The tuna sandwich was delicious, same thing for the broken noodles salad. Even the coconut water was really good. I wanted to try the ceviche, but it was out of order that day.

Food was delicious. Great vegetarian/vegan options! We had the pickle plate, burger and the seasonal salad. Everything was awesome You're not going here for the decor. The bathroom....well I would say hold it. Overall, staff was friendly and super helpful, def would go back.
One of the best vegan friendly places to eat. Vegan Mac n Cheese is always a safe bet to be awesome. Flatbreads rarely disappoint. Bowl of food changes but usually an interesting, tasty combo of things
This place is off the beaten path in a seemingly run down part of New Orleans in an old house with a green door. It's nondescript as a restaurant but it is damn good. The beer selection is great and the veggie patty had my wife, a vegetarian for the last 10 years, raving. I had the food bowl which was also amazing. Highly worth the trek and easily one of the best vegetarian places I've ever been.
A little run down on the outside, but charming on the inside. I had the zucchini noodles which was good, but I would have liked a little spice. Kind servers, decent prices, great for the vegan/ vegetarian/transitioning foody.
No gluten free bread for sandwiches and burgers and this time I waited 45 min for food. It was 8pm and usually it's faster. I added tofu and it came deep fried... not the healthiest vegan

Felt like a mellow, welcoming place. The service was wonderful and quick (awesome staff!) I knocked off a star because I didn't think the food was as amazing as most others seem to think it is. Personal opinion. Definitely glad I tried it though. Worth the stop for the full experience of being there.
This is the BEST place to eat... If you haven't already tried it,I think you should give it a try... also if it's You're birthday you get free cake!
I'm not vegan but i went there with a friend who is and the food was awesome. Great find.
Visiting NOLA, we were looking for healthy food options and found this place. It is a nice Cafe with lots of good and healthy food options. We got the fire burger, the green colada smoothie and a cappuccino. Food was delicious but portions could be bigger. Coffee was also good.
Super cute and great service! I had the Pumpkin Flax Granola w/Almond milk and the House Chai Latte. #yummo

Seriously, if you’re vegan is hard to find a good restaurant in the city. Go for this place. Is very charming and is kinda hidden in a an alleyway. You won’t be disappointed. Their drinks are amazing as well.
Would love to tell you how good this place is but unfortunately they wouldn't let me place a to go order until they didn't have a wait for table service. There were three parties waiting for a table, but there were also three free tables. I think they were just short on servers because the woman seemed like she really didn't want to deal with my questions. But that kinda seems like the perfect time for to go orders ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I was pretty disappoined by this place. I wanted to have salad for dinner and this place looked right. However their salad meals are very basic and you still have to pay extra to add some cheese, chicken or shrimp to make it a decent meal and It ended up costing me $23 for eating in an alley. For that much money i could have had a much better salad in a nicer atmosphere
This is a great breakfast/brunch place. It is especially great if you are a vegetarian. You will be sitting outside, so keep that in mind. The sweet potato biscuits were great.
By far one of my favorite places to eat in New Orleans. Fabulous atmosphere, good service, and excellent food, especially for vegans and vegetarians. Killer vegan bloody mary for brunch. Highly recommended!

Best new place to eat in NOLA. Would have a standing daily reservation if I could. So glad that they made the move to Uptown!! Great staff, inventive, savory cuisine....OYSTER BED ROAST and I SEE STARS COCKTAIL is enough for the start of a beautiful evening!
Great food and very comfortable atmosphere! The cocktails are delicious and creative and the food is tasty and fresh! This restaurant is definitely worth a try if you're visiting NOLA, and easy to make a regular dining spot if you're a local.
Absolutely delightful experience!!! The food is creative, beautifully plated and delicious! !!!! A creative & unique fusion of yummy flavors!!!!!! The service is very attentive with an individualized attention to detail and pleasing their guests!!! An interesting menu with healthy twists on old favorite traditional Indian dishes!!! Tom Fitzmorris should break his 6 month rule and run ovet to Saffron NOW to experience the tantalizingly yummy flavor explosions that are also captivatingly plated to appeal to all of your senses!!! I highly recommend this wonderful new restaurant located on Magazine Street, right next to my first love, Mona's Cafe!!! The truffle nan is almost addictive with its light buttery texture that melts in your mouth with the savory aroma of truffles!!!! Kudos to the chef's son, who created this heavenly concoction!!! In a word........YUMMY!!!!!! Go there!!! Its a beautiful romantic place for an intimate dinner with your honey!!!
Best Indian food in the city. One of the best restaurants in the city. And it's only been open for a day in this location. That's pretty amazing!
Order a signature cocktail and enjoy the atmosphere! What a great new place!
