Absolutely amazing! The food is fantastic, with fresh seafood and a nice twist on traditional NOLA dishes. We came here the first visit for fresh oysters which were perfect. The food, service, and atmosphere were so wonderful that we came back, not just once more for dinner, but also for breakfast and bloody Mary's on the day we were flying out of NOLA! Do not pass this place up!
This place was a very pleasant surprise. My wife and I stopped in for brunch and bottomless mimosas. The service, food, and facilities were all top of the line. Alvaro, our waiter, was full of personality and very enthusiastic about his work and the restaurant. We will be coming back every chance we get.
Great raw oysters and warm, friendly service. It is not easy to please an entire family of five with a tween and two teens, but they did. We were not as chic as other customers, but that did not affect our treatment. If your experience is consistent with ours, you will leave happy.
Find this place, raw oyster and drinks happy hour from 3-7pm $9 a dozen... Simple menu with excellent food. Went twice during my week long trip. Once for beer and raw oysters only, and once for the menu food. Great stuff, staff is super nice and friendly.
This was a diamond in the rough. Daisy Duke's is next door but this place caught our eye. It's classic New Orleans fare that tastes like a home cooked meal in a chic new location. Service was personable and knowledgeable, and the food was hot and fresh. Excellent draft beer selection as well as cocktails. Great experience and look forward to trying brunch!

One of the top 3 meals I have had in my life! Absolutely amazing all around. There were 10 of us so we had just about everything on the menu. I have nothing negative to say and highly recommend. The classified cut and short rips were my favorite, although all the meat just melts in your mouth. The sides and apps were unique and delicious. The service we received made the whole experience one that I will never forget. Ashley was so very knowledgeable and professional, and explained the cuts of meat as she was using very sharp knives. She is definitely a pro. I can't wait to come back!
Love everything about this. The food is impeccable, drinks are delicious, wine selection is crazy good and the steaks are out of this world. Love the staff, especially the hostesses.
Josephine, our waitress, was phenomenal!! Super friendly, upbeat and very patient. While the dining experience alone was outstanding, having Josephine as our waitress made it amazing!! Thank you so much! We'll be back the next time we visit NOLA!
Best Meal I Have had in Years! Everything at this Restaurant appears to be house made; the ingredients are phenomenal, expertly combined, and wonderfully presented. The Tomato Celebration Salad is like a Symphony in your mouth. The burger was, well much more than a burger; every bite was a soft tender morsel of quality beef that is perfectly pleasing to the palate. The decor was smartly minimalist, in my opinion, it is a great place to have a wonderful dining experience.
The best restaurant I've accidentally found in my entire life. Amazing service, food, scotch, and wine selection.

I love this restaurant! Each manager and server work hard to accommodate each table. Jennifer has been my favorite since my first visit. Julio is a gem, he is always working hard under pressure. My husband and I visit mainly during Sunday Brunch, always bringing in new customers with us. We have tried just about every item on the menu and they do not disappoint. BBQ Shrimp, Crispy Boudin Balls, Blue Crab Bisque,Blue Crab Omelet, Benny!Benny!Benny! Shrimp and Grits.........etc etc. BOTTOMLESS MIMOSAS are always flowing. Be sure to TIP GENEROUSLY NOTE: If you go for Brunch please bring patience as they usually have a lot of large parties.
Wonderful restaurant with delicious food and great service. The shrimp and grits are the best I've ever had and highly recommend the Tennessee Taste on the dinner menu. Love it that it's NOT like the restaurants in French quarter, which are packed with crowds and overpriced fried food. Great atmosphere.
Happy hour!! $9 per dozen. Awesome deal and they don't skimp with little ones. The soup du hour comes with half a French bread too. Delicious!!
loved the atmosphere. the food was definitely missing flavor, but it was enjoyable and the staff is extremely friendly and professional. thank you Julio.
Falon was our server and she was great! My 11 year old son said this about the food, "it was perfect, the seasoning," He ate his food and food from me and his Dad. This will he a regular stop when we are in New Orleans.

Food was beyond amazing. Service was extremely disappointing. Had to wait more than 40 min past our reservation time to be seated despite arriving early. A female member of our party was completely ignored and skipped for gentleman when speaking with the hostess. After being seated despite the fact that we were seated so late, food and app order was not taken for over a 25 min. After eating at most of the fine dinning establishments in NOLA and spending about $200 for a meal, the service was not acceptable or even close to a match for the food being served. Maybe expectations were too high considering after visiting their sister restaurant, the exceptional Mr. John's Steakhouse, which I recommend empathically, but there's is no excuse for being treated as rudely and as an afterthought. Nola has too many outstanding restaurants to every have to go to Desi Vega's Steakhouse again. Three stars only based on the amazing food. Service is definitely one star based on the rude treatment of some of our party and the worthlessness of the reservation.
#desivegassteakhouse #foodie #steakhouse #steak #manhattan #wine #filetmignon #mashedpotatoes #neworleans #Louisiana I loved my dinner. It was great! I was craving steak and I searched for a couple places that weren't crazy expensive but still good. I finally made reservations for one at here lol. Service was really good, they didn't Hover and they didn't disappear. The food was really good. My steak, filet mignon was cooked perfectly. Medium yum yum yumm I also ordered the garlic mashed potatoes which were alright, nothing spectacular The manager was nice enough to bring by a slice of cheesecake, which was super thoughtful thanks again. (Not fancy cheesecake) I was suppose to start with a Manhattan and then a glass of red wine win my steak but I got everything at once. I didn't like how they charge you for sauces, they should let you know first. Other than that, awesome experience. Manager in duty that night was Chris Siegeist. He was soo nice and did a great job that night. He informed me they have a pretty good happy hour. If I lived around there I would try it. I would say I spent less than $100 for everything
Have had nothing but great experiences there. So much so, that as a reward to our employees, we now have Secretaries Day lunches there and buy gift cards for our staff from Desi's. Thank you Mr. Vega!
Steak is mediocre at best! Appetizers are just ok. Food overall not worthy of the price! Go somewhere else for steaks!
Only had the salad and asparagus but loved it. Very friendly service and beautiful decor.

The crab bisque is the best I've ever tried and and is a must for anyone who likes seafood. I ordered the DelMonoco steak and it was perfectly cooked....although maybe a wee bit too much salt in in the seasoning but not enough to make it was still very good. The service was top notch and very personable. ...I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. The prices are a bit on the higher side but you get what you pay for there...which is excellent food. Overall...a very enjoyable experience.
I only leave reviews when the place impresses me. This place blew me away. If you're in Louisiana you definitely have to try it. It's not cheap so don't be leaving low review because you can't afford it. You'll probably be around $150 with a glass of wine but it's worth every penny !!! High end service.
Best steakhouse I've ever been to by far. Split the porterhouse for two with my wife and we were both completely stuffed with some of the best steak ever. Slightly pricy but we'll worth it.
Here for a company dinner for about 50; we were seated fairly fast. The live music in the bar area is just the right addition of ambience and distraction to get the ball rolling; hello 'give me another of those, I'm feeling warm and fuzzy...'. The outside rear patio is great for socializing & when heated, the 8-foot lanterns are truly picturesque. For the size of our party, the food came swiftly. I found the appetizers to be very tasty, the main course, steak for me, was a little less than memorable, but the desserts made up for the lackluster steak. Valet parking was great. Or if you parked and walked, lots of scenery to enjoy.
The food was incredible. Our steaks were cooked to perfection, the potatoes were excellent as well. Our server was very good, he was on top of our every request. The atmosphere was delightful, a man played piano and sang while we were there.
