The last time we got some, the coffee came out tinted green. I emailed the company to let them know and received an email back very quickly assuring that it was a reaction with the old flavoring and they would send a replacement with the new flavoring they started using. It didn’t take long and we got our new coffee in the mail. And they didn’t send one but FOUR new bottles! It MORE than makes up for one oddly tinted bottle. Started off with some fried green tomatoes and they were absolutely amazing!
Then we continued with seafood pasta and blackfish and both were great, but nothing topped the cinnamon roll cheesecake. We absolutely loved this dessert as it provided everything you’re looking for to finish up a meal.”

“Today was the 1st time I’ve been to The Manship. We sat outside as the day was overcast and comfortable temps. The atmosphere is laid back southern elegance. Lunch menu choices made it difficult to choose. We started with the seasonal cocktail, a very Manship twist on a French 75 served frozen in a coupe and garnished with a violet. This is one I hope they make a permanent part of their menu. Perfect balance of sweet/sour and delightful on the palate. Next we shared smoked tuna dip served with what I think were fried tortillas seasoned with chili lime and saltine crackers. It rivals the best smoked tuna dip I’ve ever had from along the Atlantic. For entrees we chose small plates: Manship Woodfired Oysters served with focaccia and a special of Bbq pork belly served with Brussel Sprout slaw. I am not fond of brussel sprouts & surprisingly I loved the slaw. The oysters were beautifully served in a dish that kept them warm and not overcooked. The thick slices of bread were perfect for dipping in the butter sauce used in cooking the oysters. The pork belly was so good. Just the right amount of rub and sauce cooked to tender, melt in your mouth perfection. Our server was a total pro. I feel so bad because I didn’t write down her name. My daughter who was with me once worked as a server at a restaurant much like Manship. She was very impressed because our dishes arrived in perfect order and timing. She was knowledgeable about every item on the menu. Do yourself a favor and go eat at this wonderful establishment! We will come back!”

“I have lived in Louisiana my whole life and was skeptical about Jackson’s king cakes. I have tried ones in NOLA and baton rouge and i can say Campbells king cake gets the Louisiana approval!!! I had originally place a pre order for my king cake but once I got home and cut into it I realized I was given the wrong order. The customer service there is amazing!! I went in and was able to grab another one and was given more cream cheese filling!! If you are looking for a classic king cake look no further!! I really appreciate the employees being super understanding and kind!!”

The quaint restaurant is located on Macon St. Walking through the doors the ambience beckoned us in. We were greeted by beautiful wait staff serving everything you can imagine. Beef tips, smothered liver, hamburger steaks in gravy, turkey necks, baked and fried chicken, green beans, lima beans, black-eyed peas, cabbage, okra, rice and gravy, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, turnip and collard greens, yams, corn muffin, sweet potato pie, cinnamon roll and peach cobbler. I can say the food was ON POINT! Very delicious and I did not add salt or pepper. Seasoned very well. We really enjoyed ourselves and had food to take home for dinner. Also, there was sweet tea, lemonade and kool-aid to drink. I pray GOD continue to bless your business. A hidden gem~”

We had a child in the children’s of Mississippi hospital, and every morning they were open I would stop by and order a drip coffee and a pastry. The pastries are top tier, better than I’ve had in some renowned places. “Imagine going to Jack’s for the first time and they already mess up your order.

I paid extra for add-ons and specific customizations, only to open my food and see that it was made incorrectly. I was charged for items that were either missing or done the exact opposite of what I requested. If I’m paying for bacon, cheese, and modifications, I expect them to actually be on the burger — not ignored.

This wasn’t a complicated order, and I even ordered online to avoid mistakes. Instead, I wasted money and ended up disappointed before even taking my first bite. For a first impression, this was terrible.

If you’re going to charge customers for add-ons, make sure the order is right. I shouldn’t have to double-check my food every time, especially when I’m paying extra.”
