“Delicious and Fresh! Every dish at Garam Mirchi tastes homemade with fresh ingredients and authentic spices. The paneer fried rice and the Hakka noodles had a great smoky flavor. Definitely recommended!”
“We love this place! We’ve been here a few times, and the food never disappoints us. The restaurant is very spacious with a large variety of food. The flavor is very authentic. Malatang tastes great and comes with plenty of meat and veggies. I highly recommend the brown sugar rice cakes.”
“Authentic flavors, high-quality meat, and a great sauce bar. The soup base is rich and deep. Everything was fresh and the service was fast. Easily one of the best hotpot spots in town!”
“I had the best lamb shank (Quran Lamb) I have ever had. My wife had the chicken kabob, which was good as well. We tried the Firni (cardamom-infused pudding), a wonderful flavor combo I have never had before. We did take out, but the dining in looks nice and comfortable. This place just opened in September 2025. You will be happy if you give it a try.”
“might be the best deal in Fremont! Happy hour all day everyday 🤯
Better than In-N-Out animal fries with the best meat. The Chile relleno reminded us of a better version of jalapeno poppers 🔥
Also shout out to the wonderful @prisilly_penelope_ for the perfect recommendations and hospitality. ❤️
They will be seeing us again; absolutely worth a visit if you’re in the east bay 🙌

“Great kick back hang. Amazing coffee, lots of drinks to choose from. Highly recommend the sincere apple cider and the have mercy hazy IPA from laughing Monk brewing. There's lots of seating inside and out. Relaxed atmosphere and the food is fresh and you can tell there's real love here.”
“My husband and I ate here just before Christmas. We recently moved here and Papillon came highly recommended. Everything from the freondly staff to the Delicious food was perfect. We even got the chance to meet the owner. Such a wonderful place.”

“we've been 3 times in the past few months and every time was great. we went the day after my wife's birthday, the same day our pet passed, and the staff made it a very special experience and distraction from our loss. absolutely recommend 110%. great food, great people, great experience overall.”

“Food: one word, AMAZING. From banchan to tofu soup, everything tasted like I had in Korea. The flavors are spot on and portion is good. Their bibimpap is highly recommended!
Service: one of the warmest I’ve had in Bay Area for sure. The guy was very welcoming, attentive and helpful! Makes the overall dining experience better.
Ambiance: I love how the name of the restaurant and “delicious” in Korean is corresponded. Overall it’s casual but I hope the kitchen vacuum is better so we don’t get too stuffed by the smell.”

“I just stopped by for a quick meal, had the lamb kebabs plate. The kebabs were very tasty, nicely cooked and everything else on the plate was extremely fresh and flavorful. The place is very clean, the service was very friendly also. Will come back again for sure.”
“We are from Connecticut, and during a recent trip to the Bay Area, we had the extreme good fortune to try the Afghan Awasana Kabob House. Oh my ... what an experience! The food was superb … an epicurean delight, but also plentiful, and very reasonably priced. The qabuli palow - a lamb shank dish was a standout, and the squash bolani - a stuffed flatbread was out of this world. The owner was very friendly during dinner, only to be surpassed by what happened after our dinner. Upon leaving, our car would not start. The owner offered to jump start our car. When that did not work, he offered us a ride back to the house where we were staying ... which we gratefully accepted. On the way, while we were thanking him profusely, he indicated that this was not an imposition as he routinely gave rides to his workers. I was moved to tears with his generosity. The Afghan Awasana Kabob House stimulated my palate, satiated my appetite, and above all, nourished my soul with renewed faith in the kindness of humanity. A truly memorable evening that will not soon be forgotten.”

“The BEST pizza in Fremont!!! I moved from that god forsaken city in 2020 and the only thing I miss is Mission pizza. It's the very first stop we make when coming back down to California. We've always experienced amazing customer service interactions in all three locations that they've had. The pizza has also always been on point. Now I'm mad because it's 440 miles away and I'm craving it. (please open one in Oregon...they have crappy pizza up here 🥺😭)”

“Delicious burgers with options to suit all tastes. They have beef, chicken, and veggie patties as well as some without Pakistani spices for picky eaters like my daughter. They also have loaded quesadillas with fries and their signature spicy sauce which are amazing. They also have a good variety of shakes. We’ve had the mango and the Oreo Never Boreo.”

“Finding authentic Mexican food that actually tastes like home is rare, but this place nailed it. Every bite reminded me of my family’s cooking. I brought my entire family here, and everyone from the kids to the adults absolutely loved it.
The flavors are genuine, the service is warm, and a huge thank you to Evelyn and Liliana for taking such great care of us! They were so helpful and made our family dinner feel even more special. We’ve definitely found our new favorite spot. 10/10!”
“We ordered the chicken shawarma plate from the “Grill” section and chose hummus as our base and then babaghanouge and muhammara (roasted red pepper and walnut dip) as our 2 sides. We also got some freekeh (toasted green wheat) on the side.
Simply put, this was a masterpiece. Every time I eat this type of cuisine, I start re-evaluating all the years I spent without Middle Eastern food. About how much of a shame it is that I discovered this amazing food so late in life. But no point in lamenting the past—we must look towards the future and get ourselves excited about how much Middle Eastern food we will consume moving forward!
Anyway, let me start talking about the food forreal now. The corn and edamame salsa was incredibly fresh, springy, and each kernel of corn and each edamame bean had an incredible crunch and sweetness to it that definitely complemented the meaty chicken. The chicken was nicely spiced but could have been a tad bit warmer, I thought. Nonetheless, great flavors and seasoning. The hummus was absolutely delectable. Velvety smooth, perfect amount of bitterness and nuttiness from the tahini, nicely seasoned, and adequately bright from the lemon juice and fruity olive oil.
The freekeh was a nice surprise. I had never had freekeh before, and the individual grains were so bouncy and juicy that I had to re-think my rice-centric grain worldview. The seasonings made the side feel like a complete meal of its own—the grain had a base of roasty, toasty nuttiness that went amazingly well with the smooth outer coating of olive oil (presumably) and warm, Middle Eastern spices. Perfect with any of the three dips or their house-made sauces.
Speaking of the dips, the muhammara and babaghanouge were perfect as well. Everything had a healthy drizzle of the most fruity, fresh olive oil ever, which only heightened the deliciousness of each dip. The muhammara was very sweet, which let me know that the red peppers were indeed roasted super well. The babaghanouge was also super smoky but rather chunky, which made for a textural delight and contrast from the very smooth hummus. And when combined with the soft, pillowy, and comforting pita bread… So perfect.”
“I had a great experience with Perl and Emilou at Nation Burger, Mowry Fremont. They're incredibly attentive, dedicated, and fantastic customer service. I was impressed by their passion in cooking, particularly the preparation of orders. It was so organized and ran smoothly..”
“We haven’t left the restaurant and I’m writing this review. It’s been years since I’ve come to Country Way and I’m so glad we came here. It feels like stepping into a piece of Fremont’s history, yet the restaurant looks so well maintained.
We got the linguicia omelette, country fried steak, and French toast. Everything tasted so good! The French toast was unlike others we’ve had—it’s like a happy combo of pancakes and French toast. Would recommend getting extra crispy potatoes. Service was quick and so friendly! Thanks Country Way!”
“I have not been dissapointed once with any menu item I have ordered. The best chimichangas I've ever had. The staff is friendly service is fast. I highly recommend this restaurant.I will definitely make this place my go to❤If you haven't been here yet you are missing out!”
“Ordered takeout here and every time I do, the owner is always a great character to interact with and makes this place memorable. Food portions are great and the taste is on point. My favorite has been the salt and pepper fish but of their salt and pepper protein options are delicious. When you ask for good Chinese food recommendations from Fremont locals, this place usually is brought up and for good reason.”

“I had an amazing experience at Curry Pizza House! The food was absolutely delicious, with the perfect blend of Indian spices and classic pizza flavors. The crust was fresh and crispy, and the toppings were generous and full of flavor. Everything we ordered was served hot and tasted incredible.
A special thanks to our server, Kaur, who made our visit even better. She was friendly, attentive, and very welcoming throughout our meal.”

“Got a take out order from this place during lunch hour rush. The order was done by phone, the staff was friendly and patient as she placed my order.
Upon arrival to my pickup, I was informed that the braised egg was not available so she took it out of my order.
Well packed noodles and soup separately!!!
The portion of the noodles was great!!! Beef texture was just perfect, melted in your mouth. So juicy and flavorful!!! Tender and tasty!
The numbing spice was mild but got a nice kick to it!
Lots of cilantro and scallions which I love!!
I think overall, the flavor and portion both exceeded my expectations! This is my first visit and will definitely would got back to try some more food!!!
The restaurant looks cozy with lots of little 4 seaters tables.
Location wise, it's hidden in the back of left side of the plaza.”
“Pho Lan, a true family-run establishment in Fremont, delivers exactly what matters most in Vietnamese cuisine: spectacular, authentic flavor and generous value. While this isn't the spot for a luxurious, white-tablecloth experience, it is hands down the best place to find truly delicious pho and rice dishes in the area.
The primary reason to visit Pho Lan is the food, and they execute it flawlessly. The flavors here are deeply authentic, showcasing the care and tradition that only a family business dedicated to its craft can provide.
The Pho: The star of the show is, naturally, the pho. The broth is rich, complex, and clean—the hallmark of high-quality pho. It’s clear that the broth simmers for hours, resulting in a depth of flavor that many chain restaurants simply cannot replicate. Whether you choose a classic rare steak or brisket combination, the meat is fresh, and the portion size is substantial.
Beyond the Broth: While the pho is a must-try, the kitchen excels across the board. The rice dishes are equally noteworthy, featuring perfectly cooked meats and well-balanced marinades. If you're looking for Vietnamese food that tastes just like the dishes prepared in a traditional home, Pho Lan delivers.
Pho Lan offers excellent value. The portions are notably generous, ensuring you leave completely satisfied. In an age where many restaurants are shrinking servings, Pho Lan maintains a commitment to great portion size, making it a fantastic choice for lunch or dinner without breaking the bank.
It is important to manage expectations regarding the dining environment and service. As a dedicated, family-run operation, the entire focus is on efficiency and getting excellent food to your table quickly.
Ambiance & Service: This is not a restaurant built on trendy decor or overly solicitous service. The atmosphere is simple, casual, and functional. Service is efficient and straightforward, reflecting the priority of the kitchen over the front of house flair. If the quality of the food is your main metric, you will be thrilled. If you expect a high-end, polished dining experience, you might need to adjust your expectations. Pho Lan is an honest, no-frills location dedicated to its culinary mission.
Pho Lan is a Fremont treasure. It’s the kind of local spot that deserves strong community support because they consistently nail the most important element: the food.
For authentic flavors, generous portions, and truly delicious Vietnamese cuisine—from the masterful pho broth to the flavorful rice plates—Pho Lan is highly recommended. Come support this dedicated family business and enjoy some of the best Vietnamese food Fremont has to offer.
This was long due- will post pictures next time I visit them.”
“food is delicious. staff is so friendly and so supportive. They have the best vegetarian food in bay area.. I would recommend everyone who read this message to try at least once...I have done catering from this place and owner and staff have done great job...good job guys keep it up..GOD BLESS”
“Rice Junky is such a pleasant surprise! The food is flavorful, fresh, and served in generous portions. Everything tastes well-balanced and satisfying. The staff are friendly and the service is quick, making it perfect for a casual meal or takeout. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to!”
“This place reminds me of the old-school Chinese and Taiwanese places you’d find in the San Gabriel Valley in SoCal in the early 2000s. Mandarin speaking, straightforward service and just good Chinese comfort food.
At 11am on a Saturday it was packed with mainlanders, a good sign. What I really love about it is the honest pricing…we ordered a noodle, pan-fried buns and wonton soup for only $41 total. That’s a steal in this crazy economy, especially considering how labor-intensive Chinese dumplings are.
- Shanghai pan fried buns were crispy on outside, fluffy on the inside. Delicious!
- The shepherd’s purse wonton was okay, but slightly over-boiled; the wrappers were gummy.
- Scallion oil noodles were delicious and in a generous serving that two can share
The elderly couple running this place are both really nice and friendly. They’re more comfortable speaking Mandarin but they speak some English as well.”
“Great food, large portions at a great price. Has a mix of foods, Thai and crepes. Aa to the crepes they have combinations I’ve not seen before, i.e. Indian inspired. Staff are very pleasant. Offers indoor and outdoor seating.”
“I have not been dissapointed once with any menu item I have ordered. The best chimichangas I've ever had. The staff is friendly service is fast. I highly recommend this restaurant.I will definitely make this place my go to❤If you haven't been here yet you are missing out!”
“Prompt service but limited on tiny soup bowls to eat in which was very difficult for non regulars with surprise mandatory gratuity of 18% for 4 adults and 2 kids under the name of 6 people”

“I go through the drive-thru nearly every early morning before work at the hospital so I can get an iced coffee and Sonia is always such a pleasure to see at the window. She’s quick and efficient and maintains such a friendly positive attitude that helps start my mornings off on the right foot.”
“Breakfast Burrito best that we ate. Customer service was great. Place was clean customers in and out they are all serve with the smile. I salute to the manager on that day he himself at the counter serving a lot of customers. We are all satisfied our morning starts awesome.”
“The Jack in the Box on Fremont Boulevard near Irvington is a great spot for a quick bite! I was very happy with the taste of the food and the excellent service from the staff. The location was impressively clean, which made the experience even better. While the prices are slightly higher compared to McDonald’s, the quality of food and service makes it worth it. There’s enough parking available for everyone, and the location is fully accessible for individuals with disabilities. Overall, a solid choice for fast food in the area!”
“The best food I’ve ever had in my life. It’s like they put voodoo magic in their food I just don’t understand how it’s that good. Just take all my money it’s fine. My favorites are the soup bao, honey walnut shrimp and orange chicken I could just freaken live off their soup bao”

A special thanks to our server, Kaur, who made our visit even better. She was friendly, attentive, and very welcoming throughout our meal.”
“The 4” cakes here were perfect for my small bday celebration with just me and my wife. I got the matcha cake which was delicious, light, and not overly sweet. The service was excellent as well, as the bakers in the store were able to add small customizations like a cute smiley face on the cake and print happy birthday.”
“Ramen Arashi is easily one of my new favorite spots in Fremont. The food is legit. I ordered the Arashi ramen and it was super flavorful — rich broth without being too heavy, and the chashu was soft and tender. The noodles had the perfect chew, and the bowl came out piping hot, which I loved.
I also tried the karaage and it surprised me. Super crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and not greasy at all. Portion size was really generous too. Even the side toppings were fresh and well-seasoned.
Service was fast and friendly, and the prices are reasonable for the quality. I already want to go back and try more from the menu. If you’re anywhere near Fremont and craving ramen, this spot is a must-try.”
“Yay Wendell is back!!! Wendell was the previous owner of the Depot Café. She makes a tocino breakfast with garlic rice and eggs that is fantastic and my go-to. I’ve never had a bad meal there and I ate there probably three days a week while she owned it. I was so disappointed when she sold to that other fella and he pretty much destroyed the restaurant with his food…(it was awful). It was not good and he was not very clean. Counters were dirty, stuff like that. The one thing I can say about having Wendell back is the depot café is being run clean again. You can tell that cleanliness is next to godliness when it comes to Wendell because it’s noticeably cleaner. I stopped coming after my last food experience here, and it wasn’t until I noticed Wendell moving back in that I came back. I ride the train every day, so having my favorite restaurant cafe back to its good food, great conversation is the upgrade that this place needed. I am so happy to be able to come back to the Depot café again! Welcome back Wendell! Those of us that ride the train all the time couldn’t be happier about it.”

“My favorite taco truck has been my go to spot for over 12 years. They serve amazing al pastor that's always juicy and flavorful. My usual order is a regular burrito, taco with plenty of their delicious pickled carrots, grab a bag and pack a good amount in there they’re so good! The service is always quick, and the staff are consistently friendly and welcoming. It feels like home, and the flavor has stay perfect over all these years.”
“It was my first time and I had a good hype for this place from my Asian friends. This place was packed on a weekend and I heard they are busy most weekends. The place is cozy and we had to wait 15 mins to get a table. Their service is friendly and quick. We got the bbq fish which is this location famous for. I have to say I was surprised by the size and quantity. It was a big fish and good for 3 to 4 people. Though the fish was big it was mostly bones and their broth was spicy and sour with ample of veggies. We got Jasmine rice to go with it and it was good. The fish was fresh and the broth was soothing. We also got complimentary Ube dessert. Overall had a nice time and will definitely come back to try out their other dishes.”
“I’m glad this place exists in Fremont! I really enjoy coming here; the food is great and the service if you dine in is always good. I also order out from here a lot and it’s just as good. Would recommend checking it out if you’re looking for Seolleongtang (or galbitang, in my case)”

“One of the best Ramen Place in Fremont or even Bay Area. I've been to different ramen places and so far, their Ramen is still my best ramen I've ever had. Not many ramen places makes the soup base tasty and made fresh. Bodo is made fresh and that's why it might take a bit longer. It's worth the wait. Their service is pretty good and the place is very neat. They serves different Japanese dishes as well. Plenty of choices. Try it and you won't be disappointed. I strongly recommend to my family and friends. Weekdays, they always have line outside, especially during lunch time. Give them a try. Bon appetit.”

“It’s a hole in a wall. I ordered the adobo pusit, bansilog, sinigang broth and tocilog on two different occasions. None took away my breath. They were mediocre. The same as the surrounding Filipino restaurants. However, the owners’ friendliness and genuineness were apparent. Both sisters on two separate occasions, stopped at my table and engaged in a warm conversation, making me feel like a beloved family. I felt like I was being served at Nobu. I asked if they had coffee and she said she can make me one, which was not part of the menu, plus it was’t included on the final check. The black pipping hot coffee was in a paper dixie cup, but tasted better than coffee in Brazil. This personalized and attentive service ensured a positive experience, despite the food.
Overall, this hole in the wall offers a welcoming atmosphere and friendly owners. The food might not be the primary draw, but it’s a great choice if seeking a comfortable spot with excellent customer interactaction.”
“I just went to sujues a few days back .I order my normal small or large iced Carmel macchiato with whip cream and extra Carmel .it is one of my favorite drinks when I go there .The people are kind at the cashier area .I sometimes tip here n there because I like there place .they have the food and snacks behind the glass which I can see clearly .There prices are a lil high but it's the bay area Ca .I might go back again tomorrow for another drink. Small is $5.75 and a large is $6.92.I wish they were only $4-$5 but that's the price we pay for the best weather state in America and in the west coast .”
“Entire staff was excellent! Our waiter was fun and personable. My bone in ribeye was excellent and the drinks were also excellent and at a very affordable price ! We'll done Spin A Yarn!”
“absolutely the best sushi I've had in a long time! the staff is super friendly, I will definitely be going back!”

“Online ordering here was a breeze. Unlike other places where I feel pressured to order more or lack the convenience of online options, this spot made getting dim sum straightforward.
Food: The dim sum was warm and steamy, and the quality was solid. My only gripe was the limited menu—no shrimp rice rolls or fried shrimp crescents, which are some of my favorites. If you’re happy with staples like Shiu Mai or Har Gow, you’ll enjoy it.
Service: No issues. I picked up my order by name, and that was it.
Atmosphere: The setting is simple and casual, with a cafeteria-like vibe. It’s good for a laid-back meal but not for anything formal.
Overall: It’s a decent spot with a smaller menu. Two orders of dim sum were enough to satisfy me, and I’d come back if I was in the mood for a quick and easy dim sum fix.
Parking: There was so much parking here on a weekend morning.”
“Food is by far superb! A must try and check out the place. Food is C delicious you will love it and waiters are extra friendly”
“This is an amazing restaurant! Their food is great. We’ve catered big orders from them twice, and they’ve never let us down—their prices are fair, and they’re always on time. They have a wide variety of halal options, and their staff is personable and friendly. 10/10 recommend.”
“The sushi here is seriously good - fresh ingredients, creative rolls you won’t find anywhere else. The Fuji Roll? Absolutely delicious. Prices are reasonable, and the staff is friendly, even if the vibe inside feels a bit cramped and could use a deeper clean. It’s a small spot, so I’d recommend takeout or delivery over dining in. For the quality of food though, it’s worth it.”
“I’ve been consistently going here for the past 2 years since they’ve re-opened and the food has always been amazing. My two favorite dishes have to be the spicy pork and their seafood pancake. Definitely going to keep coming back.”
“This was a great treat having all of the grilled food with a very tasty sauce. Very unique experience that I have not seen before. My only nits would be didn't feel fresh off the grill (likely cooked ahead of time) and very small food on the stick so seemed like a waste of skewers for the tiny portion. They did give you enough overall food just too much waste.”
“Great food, large portions at a great price. Has a mix of foods, Thai and crepes. Aa to the crepes they have combinations I’ve not seen before, i.e. Indian inspired. Staff are very pleasant. Offers indoor and outdoor seating.”
“Had their Dino rib & pastrami sandwich. Initially I was a bit skeptic seeing all their 5 star reviews, but man I was wrong both rib & pastrami were extremely, extremely tender & juicy. The Dino rib came with a side salad & buns. Both which were amazing. Pastrami sandwich came with a side sauce which was great too. It’s very worth it for the price. Some of the best ribs I’ve ever had!”
“Everything you want in a good breakfast and lunch spot. I came here almost every week day for my business trip and it was great food and great service every time. Couldn’t recommend this place more highly!”
“We came here for lunch. The karvepaku chicken is good. The Naga special curry is very good. It tasted like chettinadu chicken but not chettinadu. The garlic naan and butter were cooked well. The rose soda was amazing. My daughter loved it. The service was great and adjusted the spice as requested. Overall like ved the food and service. Will come back again !”
“Mumbai Chowk serves delicious staples and coastal Indian food! Personally I haven’t had Indian seafood dishes but their Pomfret fish fry thali is one our favorites! the goan fish curry, chicken kolhapuri, and butter chicken are some of other favorites!”
“Best food ever great service been to all three highly recommended 😋5 star's definitely”
“It can get busy really quick and for a great reason! This was one of the best ramen in the area, flavorful, great portion and amazing all around. It was not heavy greasy and the noodles were perfect.
Hubby and I only got the ramen but will def come back for the mazemen noodles. Their sides were vary flavorful too.
Good atmosphere, clean, small and the staff were super friendly and knowledgeable of the food, really appreciated that too.”
“It's small, so the wait for a dine in table can take a bit, but the food quality is worth the wait. Our family has loved everything we have tried. this is one of a handful of local restaurants my 10 year old some will never complain about!”
“OMG, I just had the best pizza of my life!!! I was already planning to leave a 5-star review for the calzone, and then I tried the pizza, it just keeps getting better and better. All 🍖 🥓”
“Very refined modern takes on Japanese food. The food is first class, service is great, and love the sake! Considering the incredible quality of the food, the price is very reasonable. If all you want is your typical California Rolls ect, this is not the place. You get a wonderful Omakase menu here. Definitely recommend Soho for those looking for great, and non-typical Japanese food.”
“Amazing taste ! Loved the presentation ! I ordered Two tier cake- bottom vanilla cake with Nutella cream cheese Top tier chocolate cake with Nutella cream cheese ! Mouth watering taste.”
“Good food, close to Kolkata taste but sorshe ilish was not good at all. Rest are nice. Misti doi is awesome- must try”
“Mr. Lau's Steak House (劉月鐵板.居酒屋) provides authentic Taiwanese-style steak meal, which left me feeling happy after eating it. The set meal includes black pepper rib eye steak (8 ounces, medium rare), lettuce salad, garlic bread, an egg, and spaghetti. The price is so inexpensive and the meal is so delicious. I definitely will be coming back again and again!”
“Maybe it was what we ordered or just a one off but the overall dining experience at Chowrasta just did not leave that feeling of satisfaction one should get after eating a delicious meal. The place was empty and looking at the seating capacity, it is more of a to go place. The hunt for Hyderabadi haleem brought us to this place. We also got the Mutton Mandi. Both of these dishes were served in plastic containers ready to go. The goat leg shank was tender and juicy but the Mandi rice was lacking flavor. The Haleem was better of the two items. Street Parking is a pain in this area especially in rush hours. Probably will try the Biryanis next time we are here and mostly will do a take out.”
“Had a wonderful dining experience at Fremont Ala Shanghai! We ordered the wok-fried green cabbage, shredded pork and vegetables rice soup, pan-fried dumplings, and the seasonal crab roe soup dumplings — and every dish tasted authentically prepared and full of flavor.
The highlight for me was definitely the crab roe soup dumplings. They were generously filled with roe, and the broth inside was rich and wonderfully warming — perfect comfort food.
Prices are very reasonable for the quality, and there’s plenty of parking, which makes visiting super convenient. There was only one waitress on the floor, and she seemed quite overworked, but she maintained such a positive spirit and was attentive whenever we called on her.
Overall, a satisfying and authentic meal — I’ll definitely be back!”
“Great food and service. Place is busy but servers provide fast services. Just make sure they don't sit you in the family section with kids if you want a quiet meal.”
“From the outside, this restaurant looks small and fairly modest, but the moment you walk in it feels like stepping into a different world. The interior is cozy and thoughtfully decorated with charming details that make you feel like you’re dining in a historic restaurant in a small Italian town.
The highlight of my visit was the Branzino. It was absolutely fantastic—perfectly cooked, moist, and tender. The fish is quite large, but the flavor is so good that you never get tired of it. The pasta served with it pairs beautifully with the dish.
The calamari and wine recommended by our server were also excellent. Our server initially seemed a bit serious, but turned out to be very friendly and funny, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
The restaurant can get quite busy, especially on weekends, so I recommend making a reservation in advance. Definitely a place worth visiting!”
“Had the rare beef short rib pho and the short rib was tender and the broth was flavorful. Love the price cause they have the 9th anniversary deal going on. Always coming back here when we need a good soup day.”
“Chi Xiao Guo seems to be gone. Now it’s Liu Yue Teppanyaki Cuisine. They don’t sell hot pot in summer, but the Teppanyaki cuisine is also delicious. It’s very similar to the signature Teppanyaki Noodles at Taiwan’s night markets. Love! Definitely will come again : )”
“Great food and quick service. There was wait for 15 mins on weekend. I love the quality of meat. The bone marrow and the guava soju were amazing. Great vibe. They had a free ice cream candy as well.”
“Amazing! We finally found a Thai spot in Fremont that makes amazing tom kha soup. The first time we ate here we were able to get a table! It’s a smaller place and was very busy. We ordered a variety of items to get a taste of the place. It was also a special meal as this was our last date night before our daughter was born. We were not disappointed. Besides the tom kha soup, we also ordered Thai iced tea, Thai iced coffee, fresh spring rolls, yellow curry with chicken, green curry with chicken, two jasmine rice, and matcha cake with Thai tea ice cream. The soup was our favorite by far! Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. Also appreciate that you can choose the spice level on everything. I can only do mild and my husband does super spicy so he likes Thai hot. Even though they were very busy, the staff were friendly and attentive. We never felt rushed to leave so they could get an empty table. We appreciate that!
We liked this place so much that later that week when we left the hospital to bring our baby girl home, we ordered two tom kha soups for pick up. It tasted so good! They give you a good portion and is full of chicken and mushrooms. The chicken is tender and soaks up the lemongrass coconut broth goodness. The depth of flavors makes you want more and more. It was a very tasty meal to come home to. Also appreciate that they clearly mark which soup is spicy.
A couple weeks later when my mother in law was in town, we ordered for pick up as we wanted her to try this place. We ordered spicy tom kha soup with chicken, mild tom kha soup with chicken, red curry with chicken, green curry with chicken, pad Thai with chicken, jasmine rice, and pineapple fried rice with chicken. The soup was still the best in my opinion. Both curries were flavorful and had a good amount of veggies and meat. The pineapple fried rice was pretty tasty with the raisins and cashews. The pad Thai was a bit disappointing though. The noddles were thinner and not traditional pad Thai noddles. There was hardly any sauce so it was dry and the noodles stuck together. I also wish there was a bit more chicken and tofu.
This is now our go to Thai spot in Fremont. We wouldn’t order the pad Thai again but will for sure be back for the delicious tom kha soup and tasty curries. Highly recommend this place!”
“So good! The food was super flavorful and tasted really authentic. Perfect balance of spicy and numbing — exactly what I was craving. The crispy chicken and peppercorn fish were amazing!
Service was friendly and quick, and everyone was really nice. Great spot for Sichuan food — will definitely be back!”
“Highly recommend this meat shop. Everything is fresh, well-cut, and the selection is impressively complete. From BBQ cuts to hot pot slices, you can find everything you need in one place. Big portions, fair prices — great quality for the value.”
“okay, I love Sichuan and Hunan style because they have so much flavor. there's also Shanghai cuisine, which has flavor without the chillies of Sichuan/Hunan.
today, we went to Fremont to Shanghai Flavor. it's a super good Shanghainese restaurant.
it opens at 11.30 on Saturday. within 20 minutes, it was full. folks, it's a small place, but that's fine. great service.
if you can, get an order of moon cakes. only available on special occasions.
if you're on the peninsula, we're lucky to have Chef Zhao Kitchen in Palo Alto.”
“This restaurant is very 67, the staff is so tuff and sigma. I got served 41 mangoes with mustard. Diddy and Epstein was here with Mason server the table. They ordered Adrian’s effoc with 67 mangoes. Highly recommend this tuff ahh restaurant.”
“We absolutely loved our experience here with their new katsu concept! katsu Factory! The sushi here has always been good and has always been a Fremont staple. But now we are hooked on the tomahawk katsu!!”
“Wow....., it was quite better than my expectations.... I hoped I had found this place sooner when I lived in the area!!!! Away due to work, I came back for a quick visit to see my brother at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church(father Binh). We went out for lunch and since he liked Korean food I picked this one due to the close proximity to his church, and it was surprisingly good, I mean, not like Americanized; they kept great Korean flavors and taste, and Korean service attitude!!!!! A gem in an unexpected neighborhood ✨️ Will definitely come back whenever I come to the area!!!!”
“Thanks to some amazing IG posts we decided to visit Khati Peeti yesterday in Fremont. The restaurant is amazing, while it took a couple minutes to get us checked in and seated at peak lunch time on Sunday, we weren’t sure if the service would be fast.
Happy to review that their service and their food flavors were bang-on.
The Dahi puri, sheel kaba orders came quickly and the plates were cleared equally fast. As if on queue the main course arrived as soon as the starters
We’re finished. The naans and Lula were perfectly cooked and flavored and so was the paneer entree. A dessert order and receipt were fast as well..
on the way out we met both father and son owners duo.
We will be back soon! Great job Khaati Peeti!!”
“It was our first time to go to this restaurant. The food was good, cooked fresh and hot. We liked the food very much and our server was wonderful. Looking forward to go again. #vegnchatcuisine #papihanandy #review #fremont #california #vegetarian #chholebhature #thali #vegthali #restaurant”
“The best grilled chicken ever....never dry! the garlic sauce is superb as well!”
“We had a wonderful holiday lunch for 34 of our garden club members from Shinn Park, in Fremont. The food and service were fantastic and the large step down center of the restaurant is fantastic for big groups.”
“I went to Chacha go with my daughter in law last week. I got a strawberry black tea with boba (25% sweetened) and it was delicious. Boba was just right. I'll be wanting to go to Chacha go again next time I'm in Fremont.”
“Loved the sushi here - the fish is high quality, price is good for the quality of the fish, and the ambiance is nice: clean, spacious and brightly lit.
Highly recommend the omakase: 10 pieces for $46. The presentation of the nigiri was excellent and it was all delicious.”
“Today we said a sad goodbye to the last Fremont Resident of the Williams Family😞 Pops was so loved and appreciated and it showed today at his services ,though I didn’t go to the burial for the fact of I couldn’t see my Best Friends Frankie’s Ashes being buried with his Father & I find out after that they didn’t lower the casket until everyone was gone 😞I did go to Coaches today and ALL I kept finding myself doing was looking for Pops or waiting for him to walk in as that is where I would always meet him rather if it was for him to get in on my football pools or to change the motor for his windows of his Mercedes or some type of work to his car no matter what it was for that was where you could always find Pops with his hotspot papers in one hand a a cold Bud Light in the other 🥃cheers 🥂to you Pops your going to be missed by so many as you already are love you Please give my love to Mom Kevin and my brother Frankie 🙏🏽🙏🏽 RIP Frank Williams Jr.”
“Honestly really good food being the only Japanese restaurant in the area they hold up the traditional so well from the sushi chef down to the katsu all of it was really amazing an I been to a bunch of spots definitely a must go”
“If you are into spicy hotpot, this is the best tasting place in the Bay Area I have found so far. The service can be slow if it’s crowded, and the environment is average. But who cares? We are here to eat some good food, not stare at the decoration.”
“la mas Buena pizza 🍕 The best pizza like never never lik this for real”
“Great food! Love ❤️ all that we ordered. And the bubble teas, too”
“Really good and friendly service! Can’t ask for anything more”
“Wow. Why only 2.4 stars ? They must of just opened cause this is way better than wing stop. it was so good my god my tastebuds just had an orgasm ! Yes I’ll be coming back if the food stays fresh like that !!! Gotta wipe my mouth ? lord.”
“Kinda my favorite place til recently. Waiter F’d blamed me. 4 dined, we gave our order. 1 person changed their order, so 3 meals ended up being the same, then there was mine. They ended changing my order instead of the other person, he argued with me until he realized he messed up, never said sorry, and then still got my order wrong by cook my salmon well instead of veggies, which they forgot to add, but I paid anyways, to go.”
“Great Sichuan food and great atmosphere. I got five dishes and I recommend all of them:
- Tender Beef in Spicy Sauce
- Kung Pao Chicken
- Pork Fried Rice
- Dandan Noodles
- Dry Cooked String Beans
If you’re not a fan of spicy, feel free to omit the Tender Beef in Spicy Sauce, but you are truly missing out.
Service was also great! Very attentive and kind :)”
“Amazing place for yakitori food, chef Sherman really knows quality and simplicity for yakitori food. I highly recommend this place especially when you get togethers with great friends. 5 stars out of 5”
“I always feel so welcome at Strizzi’s, thanks especially to Jessica, Jessa, Brenda and Evelyn. They greet me warmly every time I come in, take my order quickly, and the food arrives before I even know it and it’s always fresh, always delicious. I almost always go with something simple, like spaghetti marinara, and I swear it’s the best I’ve had anywhere. More than anything, what keeps me coming back are those amazing servers: they’re the sweetest, most genuine people you could hope to meet. Their kindness and care make the whole experience feel personal, and that turns a meal into something special. I can’t recommend Strizzi’s highly enough.”
“Best food ever great service been to all three highly recommended 😋5 star's definitely”
“Such a nice restaurant with lovely staff. The owners are here often and make tofu from scratch. Side dishes are all made fresh too!! Yummy food and reasonable prices.”
“If you find yourself craving Gujarati cuisine, then this is absolutely the ideal place to visit. The flavors of all the dishes were incredibly delicious and satisfying, and after having the platinum meal, we really felt gastronomically full. The pooris and rotis were also quite tasty. Finally, the price at which you get these thalis is truly unbelievable.”
“Me and my family went to this restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was out of the charts. The spice was just perfect for everyone and we all enjoyed. One of the best restaurants that we have ate at.”
“We had order special menu fish in two ways: fry tofu. Fish ball.
Olive vegetable (橄榄菜), lettuce dish, black fungus & locus cordyceps flowed/ vegetarian
Portion is big, all dishes are very delicious and even forget to take pictures.
I did take pictures for menus
This is an excellent restaurant, definitely come back again!”
“Great food. Very nicely prepared, tasty and served hot. Vibe is hotel lobby restaurant vibe. Service is slowish and our particular waitress seemed to be on the tipping point.”
“Have been enjoying this dim sum gem for several years now when visiting family in the Bay Area, and it is unquestionably the most delicious I have had the privilege of encountering. I say this having grown up in Flushing, Queens and living in both Mainland China (and Hong Kong) for over twenty years since. I have been eating dim sum weekly for probably 45 years or more. I have been to Michelin rated dim sum restaurants and the most famous/notable eateries in both NYC and San Francisco. Pearl Bay is hands down my favorite. It has a really extensive choice of dishes. The food is fresh and uses some really high quality ingredients. My only (small) criticism is the quality of the hot sauce, which I prefer mixed with red bean paste rather than sriracha. But next time I may bring my own. This place is perfect for large parties. You can make reservations too, so why are you waiting?! And the staff are lovely, both friendly, quick and accommodating. Will gladly look forward to returning at some point in the future. Thank you (again) Pearl Bay!”
“My family’s favorite spot in Fremont. Foods are cooked in the way that’s supposed to be. My son always picks the popcorn chicken. Today we ordered the 煲仔饭, and we loved it.”
“Always good. I come here to eat whenever I'm in the area. Best canto food and in a clean and nice location with plenty of parking. Is located in the parking lot of a business area, which I find kind of weird but totally awesome for the fact that it's easily accessible.
This place also serves dim sum thoughout the day, which is a total plus in my opinion because most places don't serve them some past 2:00 p.m.
The dim sum is actually pretty legit and traditional. You can get pretty busy during lunch time, but it moves pretty quickly.”
“Forgot to pack my to go order for tempura.
Ordered udon to go and got home and it was soggy.
Would recommend they package the noodles and tempura flakes seperatly so it doesn’t become all mushy”
“I was searching for a dim sum place and this restaurant’s name came up with decent reviews. I went there but found out that they no longer serve dim sum, only the regular Chinese food menu. We ended up ordered congee and lobster noodles and those were quite good.”
“The mac and cheese is the best, hands down! The brisket sammy is really good too.”
“The roasted whole lamb is awesome and tastes well with the chilli powder and fresh garlic/onion slices. Just one minor suggestion is to provide some lemon salt for those who can’t take spicy food.”

“This is an amazing restaurant! Their food is great. We’ve catered big orders from them twice, and they’ve never let us down—their prices are fair, and they’re always on time. They have a wide variety of halal options, and their staff is personable and friendly. 10/10 recommend.”

“I had the pleasure of enjoying some incredibly delicious Pav Bhaji and a mouthwatering sandwich, both prepared with care and served with quick, efficient, and hygienic service by Divya. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the presentation was spot on, making for a satisfying and enjoyable experience. Highly recommended for anyone craving tasty street food with a clean and professional touch!”
“One of the good sign of simple but great clean food is look at menu options. A lot for time a place with very limited menu is the one where you would have great food quality in every food you order.
This was the case here. But keep in mind the Flavors here are Karnataka style. So you can't complain about Sambhar being on the sweeter side. Don't walk here expecting spicy food.
I tried Ponnugulu and Podi Masala Dosa and I enjoyed it thoroughly.”

“Upon entry, I found the associates courteous with their smiles and slight bowing from the waist. A very Asian trait that, on top of the recording of the music of internationally renowned Arjit Singh in the background, added authenticity to the place. The servers were professional yet very warm and friendly. I ordered the flat bread with broccoli and onions, with a request to tone down the spiciness because of a previously bad experience with Indian food in San Diego. The flat bread was served hot with the delicious aroma of the spices wafting from the generous helping of the round bread that filled the entire 12" diameter pan! I was able to see and enjoy the taste of both the broccoli and onions in the flat bread. It was even served with a side of sliced fresh onions in vinegar and soy sauce together with another side of white sauce that tasted like cream of broccoli soup. Everything on the table, including a complimentary mango-with-yogurt drink, was a perfect blend, and I did not have to drench the table napkin nor my shirt with my sweat due to the level of spices tolerated by Indians but excessive to non-Indians. They gave me, a non-Indian, a spicy meal that I relished earlier this evening! Kudos to the entire staff!”
“The vibe here is really lively. You can feel the desi atmosphere as soon as you walk into Chandini Chowk. We ordered Samosa Chaat and Pani Puri. The Samosa Chaat was delicious, packed with chutneys and yogurt. The Pani Puri comes with different types of water, and you get eight pieces to choose from flavors like mint, khatta meetha, kala khatta, pineapple, and mango. I really liked the khatta meetha pani the best. The chaat came out quickly, but we had to wait about 20-30 minutes for the pani puri. The best part is that we didn’t have to wait aimlessly, it was well organized with buzzers.”
“My Experience of Day 1 of this Restaurant: This is a Takeaway place as of now. A Very Good Biryani I must say. I selected Goat Biryani & picked two to go. One with Pulav & the other with Biryani rice. Both were succulent & good! Apparently it will be a sit down restaurant down the road. My Good Friend Ram Bangalore texted me & asked me to join him to check it out & we both drove to Fremont today even to get Biryani. I must say I Enjoyed My pick of Biryani. As a Keralite from India in America I just love GOAT MEAT & the Biryani at BHIMAVARAM RUCHULU (now that is a mouth full of a Name)….as Mouth Watering as their Biryani. I hope to sit down in their restaurant some day & Enjoy the Biryani even more. All the Very Best Guys & Congratulations!!! I am a Big Believer in Small Business as a CPA.”

“New favorite dessert stop in Fremont. The saffron and pistachio ice creams are rich and fragrant, the barfi is soft and balanced, and the falooda is perfect for sharing. Staff was welcoming, helped us pick flavors, and the place had steady foot traffic even late night. Love that they stay open until 1 am. Great spot to bring family, grab to‑go sweets, or end a meal nearby. If you like authentic Afghan‑style desserts, this is the move.”
“Interesting shop that sell primarily chicken feet.it is small store with the display of all the flavor of chicken feet and you can try any one of it. It is boneless chicken feet. It just opened couple months a go. It is not easy to find as the store name Hao Shi Ji. You order using the touch screen kiosk. It also has stand at Great mall.
Beside chicken feet it also has the rice and mince pork rice.
There are 5 variant of the flavors. For me the spicy one is good. There is also spiciest level. Pricewise I think quite high. It is unique experience.”
“Finally gave this place a try after knowing about it for years. It’s a great spot to enjoy a chill, sunny afternoon. The burger has that classic local freshness - it’s the kind of taste you think of when you want a real neighborhood burger. Instead of classic milkshakes, they offer bubble tea menu, which is a really cool cultural fusion.
I’ll definitely be back!”
“Delicious food. When I see a post that they will be coming I will put my order in soon as possible. Always accommodating. Will go out their way to customize or make your request. All I can say is I wish it was a permanent establishment. Especially since it’s halal, it’s mouth watering. One bite and your taste buds will be like “ where you been this whole time”.”
“This is another Fremont location of Ume Tea, which is at Pacific Commons. The atmosphere is quite different compared to the one that’s near Newpark Mall. I actually didn’t really know about it until I walk past by it when I was getting coffee.
I really like how boba tea comes in few different sizes compared to other boba shops, which usually serves boba in taller cups. There’s not much plentiful of options here, but not every boba shop needs to have that.
This is a convenient location for me if I ever to stop by at Pacific Commons and want to get boba here.”
“Really good tacos with homemade tortillas and fresh guacamole.
The atmosphere is great, with plenty of outdoor seating and the option to sit at the bar next door.
The mango–passion fruit drink is also very good.
The service could be better—they missed our order—but they were very busy, so it’s understandable.
Just note that they only accept cash or Zelle.”
“If you think Panda Express is good… this is straight Michelin star compared to it!!! The best halal Chinese food in the Bay Area!!! It’s Panda Express style so you get to pick your plate & what you would like it’s always fresh!!! The portion sizes are really generous also!!!”
“we've been 3 times in the past few months and every time was great. we went the day after my wife's birthday, the same day our pet passed, and the staff made it a very special experience and distraction from our loss. absolutely recommend 110%. great food, great people, great experience overall.”
