“Stopped by Sushi Ken and was welcomed with complimentary edamame, a nice touch to start things off. Ordered the Spicy Lover sushi and it was great, exactly the right level of heat and I enjoyed it so much I ordered a second set to take home.

That's where the consistency issue comes in. The to-go order didn't have nearly as much heat as the one I had at the restaurant, which was disappointing. When something is that good you want it to be the same every time. I'd urge the restaurant to stay consistent across dine-in and to-go orders because the gap was noticeable.

Service was quick and my server was friendly throughout. The dine-in experience was solid overall and I'll definitely be back. Just hope they sort out the consistency issue because the Spicy Lover when done right is absolutely worth ordering again and again.”

“We are from Connecticut, and during a recent trip to the Bay Area, we had the extreme good fortune to try the Afghan Awasana Kabob House. Oh my ... what an experience! The food was superb … an epicurean delight, but also plentiful, and very reasonably priced. The qabuli palow - a lamb shank dish was a standout, and the squash bolani - a stuffed flatbread was out of this world. The owner was very friendly during dinner, only to be surpassed by what happened after our dinner. Upon leaving, our car would not start. The owner offered to jump start our car. When that did not work, he offered us a ride back to the house where we were staying ... which we gratefully accepted. On the way, while we were thanking him profusely, he indicated that this was not an imposition as he routinely gave rides to his workers. I was moved to tears with his generosity. The Afghan Awasana Kabob House stimulated my palate, satiated my appetite, and above all, nourished my soul with renewed faith in the kindness of humanity. A truly memorable evening that will not soon be forgotten.”

Food is amazing, I have been going here every Saturday, and unlike the corporate fast food slop, this place actually has good ingredients, and would even let me off a few cents when I was at my low. Portion size is great, with my garlic fries filled to the brim, and their ghost pepper sauce is to die for. Food gets ready pretty quick, within 10 mins and very rarely going over. Atmosphere is great with a nice outdoor seating and a good view of the hills. Always will find people eating on the outdoor tables.”

The pork kidney noodle soup is a rarity in the United States, though here the kidney is cut thick and left unstir-fried, so it contributes less flavor to the broth than it could. It is better treated almost as a side than as an integral part of the soup. The xiaolongbao are tasty, if more rustic in appearance than the finely pleated versions served at more polished places like Din Tai Fung.

Still, this is an honest, unfussy restaurant well worth returning to.”

I have to say I was surprised by the size and quantity. It was a big fish and good for 3 to 4 people. Though the fish was big it was mostly bones and their broth was spicy and sour with ample of veggies. We got Jasmine rice to go with it and it was good. The fish was fresh and the broth was soothing. We also got complimentary Ube dessert. Overall had a nice time and will definitely come back to try out their other dishes.”

“Upon entry, I found the associates courteous with their smiles and slight bowing from the waist. A very Asian trait that, on top of the recording of the music of internationally renowned Arjit Singh in the background, added authenticity to the place. The servers were professional yet very warm and friendly. I ordered the flat bread with broccoli and onions, with a request to tone down the spiciness because of a previously bad experience with Indian food in San Diego. The flat bread was served hot with the delicious aroma of the spices wafting from the generous helping of the round bread that filled the entire 12" diameter pan! I was able to see and enjoy the taste of both the broccoli and onions in the flat bread. It was even served with a side of sliced fresh onions in vinegar and soy sauce together with another side of white sauce that tasted like cream of broccoli soup. Everything on the table, including a complimentary mango-with-yogurt drink, was a perfect blend, and I did not have to drench the table napkin nor my shirt with my sweat due to the level of spices tolerated by Indians but excessive to non-Indians. They gave me, a non-Indian, a spicy meal that I relished earlier this evening! Kudos to the entire staff!”

“I recently visited Rameshwaram Cafe in Fremont, California, and it was an outstanding South Indian dining experience. As someone who truly appreciates authentic dosa and traditional South Indian flavors, I can confidently say this is one of the best places for dosa in the Bay Area.
The Benne Masala Dosa was exceptional — beautifully crisp on the outside, soft and flavorful inside, with that wonderful buttery aroma and authentic Karnataka-style taste. The Chili Cheese Podi Dosa was another standout, with the perfect combination of spice, cheese, and podi that made every bite incredibly flavorful.
I also highly recommend the Fried Idly and the Ghee Podi Thatte Idly. Both were delicious, perfectly prepared, and packed with flavor. The ghee and podi combination was especially impressive.
What really made the experience even better was the amazing service. The staff were friendly, attentive, professional, and welcoming throughout the visit. Great food combined with genuinely good hospitality makes a huge difference.

“Ordered just the Chole Batura and it was delicious and we loved it. The service was a bit slow and gave us our order very late as they had forgotten about our order. The vibe is good with good music and there is warmth provided by the fire pit. It is nearby to Apni mandi which makes it easier to shop and then eat when tired.”

“My Experience of Day 1 of this Restaurant: This is a Takeaway place as of now. A Very Good Biryani I must say. I selected Goat Biryani & picked two to go. One with Pulav & the other with Biryani rice. Both were succulent & good! Apparently it will be a sit down restaurant down the road. My Good Friend Ram Bangalore texted me & asked me to join him to check it out & we both drove to Fremont today even to get Biryani. I must say I Enjoyed My pick of Biryani. As a Keralite from India in America I just love GOAT MEAT & the Biryani at BHIMAVARAM RUCHULU (now that is a mouth full of a Name)….as Mouth Watering as their Biryani. “Cozy little cafe in a quiet mall corner serving absolutely delicious crepes and Eastern European dishes. Went there for a family brunch and everyone was very happy with their meal. The blini and cabbage rolls were wonderful, and the garden crepe was spectacular. We will definitely be back soon!”

“Delicious food with amazing flavors! The biryani was aromatic and perfectly cooked, and the raita complemented it really well. They also have some special items on the menu definitely ask for and try the Chef’s Special items. Great taste, good portions, and a must-visit place.”
