“In looking for an inexpensive option to offset some of the pricier dinners we had in Banff, we discovered Hankki. We thought it would pass as decent fast food but what we got was an absolutely delicious and somewhat healthy korean bowl. I was so impressed by the delicious and unique flavours and price that I had to save this spot to return to years later. There sometimes can be a bit of a wait but grab yourself one of these delicious bowls, park yourself down by the river and enjoy; trust me..it's worth it!”

“Have you ever had a meal in which you just don't want it to end? The flavors enhanced one another. We had scallops served with a pork belly slowly roasted to perfection. Our bison burger was so tender, cooked med rare and the freshest beets, potatoes and carrots roasted . The carmel toffee dessert melted in your mouth. The service was spot on. a lovely meal to the end of a great vacation in Banff.”

“Brazen should be at the TOP of everyone’s food list in Banff. The atmosphere, wait-staff( Rylee rocked!), and Chef Dan were amazing! The food and drinks were phenomenal and first class. We ate at many restaurants in Banff and none touched the quality and taste of Brazen. We started with drinks of local beers from the rotating tap and the Garden Tea Party cocktail. We then moved on to the food portion of the meal. We had numerous dishes (mushrooms, ribs, potatoes, duck, gnocchi, and the ginger beef) and were pleased with the bold and flavorful taste of them all. We topped off the night with the house special Creme Brûlée and it was the perfect end to a delicious meal. Do yourself a favor and try this excellent restaurant!!”

A server has a huge impact on the overall experience and Derrek was warm, welcoming, attentive, informative (knew the menu well) and had a great sense of humour. my one gripe is my cab driver called this place affordable when it’s absolutely not, prices seem to have risen over the years. attached is the new menu prices which has an almost $10 increase compared to the last one i saw on google reviews. but, the burger is worth it and the space is decent.”

“ALAN is the ABSOLUTE BEST bar tender/manager in the entire hotel. His attention to detail and his recommendations are IMPECCABLE!!! Alan is a gem and he deserves a raise!!! Please take care of him because he is amazing! Also he recommended the French Onion Soup at Vermillion and I’m now recommending it to you!!! You won’t be disappointed!”

“Everything is freshly made daily including the bread and English muffins used for breakfast items, to the pastries and chai tea, also serve locally brewed coffee! The breakfast sandwich was such a pleasant surprise, it seemed simple at first glance but what a perfect combination of flavors and whatever seasoning was used blew me away. We also got the avocado toast which was elevated with a poached egg, goat cheese, and balsamic on freshly baked sourdough. The homemade chai tea like the owner’s grandma used to make was amazing. I normally don’t drink chai but loved my husband’s so much I had to get my own cup. It’s just a short drive from downtown, we noticed mainly locals and regulars coming in to this husband and wife owned shop. Update: After trying some other breakfast spots in town, nothing can compete with Bare Bistro so we revisited today getting to try to eggs benedict and omelette, the sauce used for the benedict was amazing (homemade of course). We also tried some of the pastries which were all perfectly baked and delicious. We’ve tried just about everything on the menu and haven’t been disappointed in anything. We will be back tomorrow to finish trying everything (mainly pastries left). Very friendly owners and you can tell they take pride in what they do (as they should). Thank you so much Fonda and Alfredo!”

“We only go here to eat sushi when in Banff. You can choose fancier places in town but when it comes to good sushi this is place to go. Service was also very good. Our server was very nice. We had to go to a place where someone with celiac can eat and this place is great. They have it on the order. The chef receives the order with all allergens on it. It is also very quiet so it is very nice if you like a relaxed conversation while having lunch or dinner.”

“We always have a great time in Irish pubs and this one was no different. We stumbled across it leaving another establishment and ended up coming in twice. The atmosphere is great with the feel of an authentic Irish pub, people sitting around, eating drinking, and talking. The food was great as well as the drinks. We happened to be there on Thursday which was their Irish drink specials day so that was fantastic. It was super popular as tables were full but cleared out just the same. Do yourself a favor and get the Baileys cheesecake!”

The live music and activities keep it fun, with karaoke being a big hit! It also has Free pool and darts if you want a more chilled night. Decent priced drinks so you don’t break the bank. The staff a fun and friendly too 🙂”

“I can’t say enough good things about Alpha Bistro. We stayed at RMR for a family vacation and went to Alpha Bistro for my wife’s birthday. We were initially somewhat apprehensive because it seemed quiet (off season) but Kelly made us feel so special and really hit the nail on the head. Dinner was phenomenal… we both ordered the steak. It was absolutely delicious and truly exceeded our expectations. Kelly made us laugh more than a dozen times and really made my wife feel special on her big day. We couldn’t be happier with this place. It will be a go-to for us in the future.”

“You want some good food without spending an arm and a leg? Yan's the place to go. The fried rice is off the hook and the fried chicken is authentic HK style. Rivalling Vancouver/Toronto being some of the best. This place is a hidden gem in Banff. I guaranteed you wouldn't be disappointed and if you are, this isnt you're type of food. This will hit the spot after a day of exploring. The food does take a while to come out but the chef makes it on the spot. Who wouldnt want it that way anyways?! We found this spot by luck and feeling bless to have tried Yan's cooking. Yan's the Man!”

Our server Lauren was so kind and spot on with our table service, and when the missus' steak was a little underdone for her liking, Lauren took care of it right away and had it cooked by the kitchen staff to perfection. Gerry/Jerry the General Manager came over to our table and wanted to make sure everything was tasting great (which it was!) and he was such a delight to speak with. I honestly wished my GM from the Keg I worked with back in Calgary was even half as friendly as he was! Thank you to everybody who was on that night for making our Valentines Day so amazing, and we will certainly be back to eat at the Keg in the Caribou lodge specifically!
