“Have you ever had a meal in which you just don't want it to end? The flavors enhanced one another. We had scallops served with a pork belly slowly roasted to perfection. Our bison burger was so tender, cooked med rare and the freshest beets, potatoes and carrots roasted . The carmel toffee dessert melted in your mouth. The service was spot on. a lovely meal to the end of a great vacation in Banff.”

“We had their grand finale menu. The service was excellent, from the greeting by the host, to the continuous water refills, they even fold your napkin when you leave to use the restroom. The view cannot be better. Each diner was seated at the window with a beautiful view, and we didn't even have to request a seat by the window. The courses themselves were great and we left feeling full. It's actually more like 10 courses between the amuse bouche and the extra dessert and a parting gift of banana bread. Well worth the coin. It will be exciting to see what replaces Eden following the renovations but I am glad we finally got to experience it. For parking, we parked in the paid lot, got a ticket from the machine. Upon checking in for our reservation they handed us a coupon to scan while exiting the parking lot, therefore free parking.”

“Brazen should be at the TOP of everyone’s food list in Banff. The atmosphere, wait-staff( Rylee rocked!), and Chef Dan were amazing! The food and drinks were phenomenal and first class. We ate at many restaurants in Banff and none touched the quality and taste of Brazen. We started with drinks of local beers from the rotating tap and the Garden Tea Party cocktail. We then moved on to the food portion of the meal. We had numerous dishes (mushrooms, ribs, potatoes, duck, gnocchi, and the ginger beef) and were pleased with the bold and flavorful taste of them all. We topped off the night with the house special Creme Brûlée and it was the perfect end to a delicious meal. Do yourself a favor and try this excellent restaurant!!”

“I must give a shout-out to Zoran who was our server for lunch at the Vermillion Room on May 31. We were a Mother-Daughter-Grandmother group, thrilled to be in Banff and grateful to be together. Zoran's service was impeccable. He knew what we needed before we did. He was kind, attentive, and sincere. He knew the menu inside-out and we enjoyed the Beef Dip sandwich and the Croque Monsieur. The Paris-Brest was a lovely surprise to fête Grandma's recent 85th birthday! He also shared the wealth of his knowledge of the area and suggested some sites to see that would truly elevate our experience in Banff. Zoran represents Fairmont to the highest of standards. “A local we met hiking recommended we try this place and we are glad we did! Excellent views from the bar overlooking the street, glass ceiling up top, super cute decor all make it great. The food though is on another level - beats brewed in house, fall off the bone ribs, excellent wood fired pizza, and the BEST waffle fries I’ve ever had in my life. The service was also a bonus and we really enjoyed the knowledgeable Irish waitress and all her recommendations.”

“One of the best dining experiences my partner and I have had to date! Celebrated a special occasion here at 1888 and Nicholas and the staff made it so special. Nicholas was so knowledgeable, attentive, and gave excellent recommendations. Everything we ordered was incredible! We especially vouch for the king crab, ribeye, and the elderflower/mascarpone dessert. Must try in the bow valley!”

“UPDATE: My food is usually fresh here, and the app works. The tables are clean, but the washrooms are most definitely not.

This is the only McDonald's within the national park area. You'll need to travel to Golden, BC to the west or Canmore, AB to the east to find the next closest McDonald's around.

This McDonald's is always packed as its location is at the centre of the busy tourist area. Expect to wait a while. However, because of their popularity, food is very fresh and hot consistently!

I grabbed a McChicken sandwich here, and it was fresher and hotter than I typically get from Macdonald's elsewhere. It always tastes better if the chicken patty has not been sitting in the warming tray long.

Will stop here again if I need a quick bite in town.”

“Everything is freshly made daily including the bread and English muffins used for breakfast items, to the pastries and chai tea, also serve locally brewed coffee! The breakfast sandwich was such a pleasant surprise, it seemed simple at first glance but what a perfect combination of flavors and whatever seasoning was used blew me away. We also got the avocado toast which was elevated with a poached egg, goat cheese, and balsamic on freshly baked sourdough. The homemade chai tea like the owner’s grandma used to make was amazing. I normally don’t drink chai but loved my husband’s so much I had to get my own cup. It’s just a short drive from downtown, we noticed mainly locals and regulars coming in to this husband and wife owned shop. Update: After trying some other breakfast spots in town, nothing can compete with Bare Bistro so we revisited today getting to try to eggs benedict and omelette, the sauce used for the benedict was amazing (homemade of course). We also tried some of the pastries which were all perfectly baked and delicious. We’ve tried just about everything on the menu and haven’t been disappointed in anything. We will be back tomorrow to finish trying everything (mainly pastries left). Very friendly owners and you can tell they take pride in what they do (as they should). Thank you so much Fonda and Alfredo!”

“It was a perfect weather evening to eat on the outdoor patio and people. All the sushi was fresh and the rice was just right - moisture and stickiness and flavor. The menu includes clear identification of vegan and vegetarian and gluten free dishes. Service was fast and friendly. We checked the quantity on an erasable order sheet. Then the food came. Reasonable price. Eat the food too fast to take a photo.”

“The views at this restaurant really stole the show. The food was AMAZING and the menu had good variety for whatever mood you’re in. The wait staff was super friendly and offered great service, but they were a little inattentive, so if you need their attention or the check, just wave them down and they’ll usually be pretty quick to respond. When I went it was a Saturday at 6pm in May and it was really quiet, not super busy and had sports games, pool, and again an amazing patio with stunning views. It really hit the spot for us, and it supports the creative arts center which was a win. Would recommend!”

“Derrek was our server and I need to mention him first because he made our first visit an amazing one. A server has a huge impact on the overall experience and Derrek was warm, welcoming, attentive, informative (knew the menu well) and had a great sense of humour. “Our food, Steak and Guinness Pie and Lamb Shank, was excellent, service was great, and atmosphere inside and at a sidewalk table was terrific. It was a very busy summer Saturday night. We felt lucky to get an outside table at 5:30 pm, but then rain chased us inside. Our waiter was great and helped everyone with moving food and drinks. The inside decor was amazing, authentically Irish and beautiful. The Steak and Guinness pie might be the best thing I've ever eaten.”

“Anejo is one of our favorite places to have a meal, appe and/or beverage. Great flavors and staff. Always good. The mahi mahi tacos and table side quac are stars. Excellent today - we enjoyed both very much. Just a little surprised by the tortilla soup. Had this in many restaurants here and southern US and adopted those recipes to a family favorite we make at home. The menu describes this offering as a broth which is what I'm most accustom to. What I received was not broth. It was a thick tomato sauce situation. Tasted fine but had I known it wasn't the broth version I wouldn't have ordered it. Not my favorite.”

This will hit the spot after a day of exploring. The food does take a while to come out but the chef makes it on the spot. Who wouldnt want it that way anyways?! “I can’t say enough good things about Alpha Bistro. We stayed at RMR for a family vacation and went to Alpha Bistro for my wife’s birthday. We were initially somewhat apprehensive because it seemed quiet (off season) but Kelly made us feel so special and really hit the nail on the head. Dinner was phenomenal… we both ordered the steak. It was absolutely delicious and truly exceeded our expectations. Kelly made us laugh more than a dozen times and really made my wife feel special on her big day. We couldn’t be happier with this place. It will be a go-to for us in the future.”

“We ordered the stir-fry chicken noodles with spicy sauce at Edo Japan, and it was a pleasant surprise.

The portion was generous—easily enough for two people—and the food tasted great. It was made to order, fresh, and served hot, which really added to the experience.

For the price, the quality and quantity were definitely worth it.

The service was efficient and friendly, just as it should be.

“Stopped here as part of a Rocky Mountaineer Rail tour. About 25 of us were going to take the Gondola to the top, and explore the area. While waiting, noticed that they had a Starbucks onsite. Not ever wanting to miss a Starbucks hot beverage, I ordered a hot chocolate (my usual is a tea latte). They even offered to add extra whip cream, and chocolate drizzle. Talk about decandent. The staff were relatively new, but everyone was trying their best to made us happy.

“Oh wow... I was honestly treated so much better here than I was at the keg that I worked for personally back in Calgary. Our server Lauren was so kind and spot on with our table service, and when the missus' steak was a little underdone for her liking, Lauren took care of it right away and had it cooked by the kitchen staff to perfection. Gerry/Jerry the General Manager came over to our table and wanted to make sure everything was tasting great (which it was!) and he was such a delight to speak with. I honestly wished my GM from the Keg I worked with back in Calgary was even half as friendly as he was! Thank you to everybody who was on that night for making our Valentines Day so amazing, and we will certainly be back to eat at the Keg in the Caribou lodge specifically!
