“The best place to eat Indian food. My family thoroughly enjoyed lunch with variety of vegetarian dishes.”
“Have you ever had a meal in which you just don't want it to end? The flavors enhanced one another. We had scallops served with a pork belly slowly roasted to perfection. Our bison burger was so tender, cooked med rare and the freshest beets, potatoes and carrots roasted . The carmel toffee dessert melted in your mouth. The service was spot on. a lovely meal to the end of a great vacation in Banff.”

“Brazen should be at the TOP of everyone’s food list in Banff. The atmosphere, wait-staff( Rylee rocked!), and Chef Dan were amazing! The food and drinks were phenomenal and first class. We ate at many restaurants in Banff and none touched the quality and taste of Brazen. We started with drinks of local beers from the rotating tap and the Garden Tea Party cocktail. We then moved on to the food portion of the meal. We had numerous dishes (mushrooms, ribs, potatoes, duck, gnocchi, and the ginger beef) and were pleased with the bold and flavorful taste of them all. We topped off the night with the house special Creme Brûlée and it was the perfect end to a delicious meal. Do yourself a favor and try this excellent restaurant!!”
“After frequenting restaurants throught banff for a week, we will unequivocally say the service and food here are unmatched. Best restaurant in Alberta easily. Flavorful and exciting food and the passion from the staff make this establishment unmatched. Thank you for a delightful and memorable experience!”

“As a local, this is the best dinner I've ever had in town. The food was 10/10 no notes. It was the best chicken parmigiana my husband and I have ever had. I would highly recommend getting that with a pasta dish to share for two (we took home a bit of leftover chicken parmigiana because it's a very healthy portion). If you order a starter, you could get away with sharing a pasta and the chicken between 3 ppl as a main course. Our friends had the caprese salad to start and they raved about it. It looked so good I would order it the next time. The rest of the aspects were equally as perfect - service, staff, ambience, etc... I will be going back!”
“A local we met hiking recommended we try this place and we are glad we did! Excellent views from the bar overlooking the street, glass ceiling up top, super cute decor all make it great. The food though is on another level - beats brewed in house, fall off the bone ribs, excellent wood fired pizza, and the BEST waffle fries I’ve ever had in my life. The service was also a bonus and we really enjoyed the knowledgeable Irish waitress and all her recommendations.”
“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional Dining Experience at Castellos We had an outstanding dinner at Castellos! The 18 oz Ribeye Peperonata was phenomenal — perfectly cooked Alberta premium beef with rich, smoky preserved peppers and a flavorful house steak spice. The portion was generous and absolutely worth the price. The Cacio e Pepe was another highlight — silky gnocchi lunghi tossed with pecorino romano and just the right amount of black pepper for that classic, comforting flavor. Beyond the food, the service was excellent — attentive, friendly, and incredibly professional. Our server made thoughtful recommendations and ensured everything arrived at just the right pace. The atmosphere was warm and elegant, making the whole experience memorable. Highly recommend Castellos for anyone visiting the Banff Springs — a perfect blend of fine dining, local ingredients, and top-tier hospitality.”
“Great place to hang out, reasonable prices and staff friendly and fun”

“The main course comes with salad or soup, coffee or tea and ice cream. Is quite a good value , but the texture of the pasta is not as good, and is too creamy for the pesto Spag and vongola in white wine sauce (doesn’t expect it to be creamy ). But overall a nice experience.”
“Derrek was our server and I need to mention him first because he made our first visit an amazing one. A server has a huge impact on the overall experience and Derrek was warm, welcoming, attentive, informative (knew the menu well) and had a great sense of humour. The food was very delicious and reasonably priced. We loved our little table by the window. I highly recommend this place. We will definitely be back again. 👏”
“The service was nice, the cook came to our table asking if we wanted anything, he was very kind. And MAN, THE BACON ! Holy cow, smoky, flavorful and so chewy! The espresso was pretty good and the price was on the spot. Not too expensive, just the price you expect in those places.”
“Excellent. French bistro style. The food was excellent. I had the tomatoes tart and steak and Fritz with peppercorn sauce. Excellent. Prepared well. Husband had the French onion soup and the mussels and Fritz. Very pleased. Our server was excellent which made the experience superb.”

“I ordered a lavender honey latte and was patiently waiting at one of the window seats. I noticed one of the baristas make a hot drink and set it at the drink stand. She took the drink ticket and placed it on the metal stick where the finished drink tickets go. She then continued to talk to her coworker. No name was called out and I waited a few minutes until I had to go up myself and look at the drink ticket pile to see if it was my drink. I found this odd because prior drinks the barista would call out the persons name.. other than that the lavender honey latte was good”
“We visited Banff yesterday from Vancouver and dined in at this McDonald’s. Honestly, we’ve never had such a great experience at any other location! The serving style was impressive, the sauces and lettuce were evenly and fresh patties & fries, and everything tasted super yummy. A clean, well-managed spot—highly recommend!”
“Wow! This beautiful restaurant has exceeded my expectations. Each menu item I tasted is absolutely delicious. The wine list is so unique and is an adventure in itself. This is a must try restaurant in Banff.”

Takeout Restaurants
“Everything is freshly made daily including the bread and English muffins used for breakfast items, to the pastries and chai tea, also serve locally brewed coffee! The breakfast sandwich was such a pleasant surprise, it seemed simple at first glance but what a perfect combination of flavors and whatever seasoning was used blew me away. We also got the avocado toast which was elevated with a poached egg, goat cheese, and balsamic on freshly baked sourdough. The homemade chai tea like the owner’s grandma used to make was amazing. I normally don’t drink chai but loved my husband’s so much I had to get my own cup. It’s just a short drive from downtown, we noticed mainly locals and regulars coming in to this husband and wife owned shop. Update: After trying some other breakfast spots in town, nothing can compete with Bare Bistro so we revisited today getting to try to eggs benedict and omelette, the sauce used for the benedict was amazing (homemade of course). We also tried some of the pastries which were all perfectly baked and delicious. We’ve tried just about everything on the menu and haven’t been disappointed in anything. We will be back tomorrow to finish trying everything (mainly pastries left). Very friendly owners and you can tell they take pride in what they do (as they should). Thank you so much Fonda and Alfredo!”
“I have to say we absolutely loved this place. This review was long overdue, but here it is. We visited to days in a row. The food was very fresh, and the drinks, everything tasted so good. We ordered the salmon donburi and different rolls. We ordered with lots of specifications and the server moona (not sure if I’m spelling correctly) made sure every order was right. She was such a light, the service was so amazing. We even chatted with her for a while.”
“I regular Wildflour Bakery as I work on Bear Street. Despite usually having to wait a little while in the morning rush, it is always worth it. The staff are friendly and personable, the coffee is fantastic, and the service is always quick despite the volume of customers. Shout out to Garry for being exceptionally friendly, and shout out to the salted double chocolate cookies for being the reason I’ll never take a diet.”
“Our dinners at La Terrazza were excellent! We happen to be in town on a Wednesday, so we went for pasta night, which costs $39 each. I expected mediocrity, but my wife insisted we go. As it turned out we were both thoroughly impressed at the quality of the food and the presentation. In fact, it was so good that we went to have dinner on Thursday night. On Thursday we decided we would go for meat and had lamb shank and beef short ribs. Both were excellent as was the service. We would recommend when you're in Banff you should try La Terrazza.”
“Wonderful experience! Best steak I have ever eaten. Great wine selection. We went with our infant who they catered to well. Cory was wonderful and had great recommendations.”

“First time at this little, inconspicuous bar, Followed a friend’s recommendation 🤗 wanted to give a positive feedback. Small place, great atmosphere, music and food was amazing! Our bartender/ server was very friendly. I’d go again, Too bad I haven’t found it earlier”
“Our food, Steak and Guinness Pie and Lamb Shank, was excellent, service was great, and atmosphere inside and at a sidewalk table was terrific. It was a very busy summer Saturday night. We felt lucky to get an outside table at 5:30 pm, but then rain chased us inside. Our waiter was great and helped everyone with moving food and drinks. The inside decor was amazing, authentically Irish and beautiful. The Steak and Guinness pie might be the best thing I've ever eaten.”
“We start most Sunshine days at Java lift - get to the hill early to avoid traffic and catch the sunrise before the lifts open. Monogram coffee is one of my favourites from Calgary and the drinks are well made and worth the little extra. Delicious & fresh breakfast muffins, sandwiches and pastries. Don't forget to show your season pass for a discount 😀”
“Great breakfast buffet and some of the best restaurant views in Banff. The buffet had lots of selection and even gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegetarian options. We wished there was toast, but there were other pastries and French toast. Unfortunately, the service was not great. The servers paid little attention and it took a long time to get coffee.”
“We really enjoyed our visit here! All the staff is very friendly and so welcoming. We tried the pulled beef and crispy fish tacos. The beef tacos were really good but the fish tacos were mostly batter and not so much fish. Also had the molcajete which was also very flavorful only the chorizo was burnt in some spots. Also had the salsa and chips which they do prepare table side and it was very fresh and tasty. Overall it’s not very traditional Mexican food but it was still pretty good. Definitely recommend this spot and would visit again.”

“Great bar! It is the only one up tunnel mountain which is great for anyone who doesn’t want to venture all the way downtown and worry about getting a taxi back later when the buses have stopped. The live music and activities keep it fun, with karaoke being a big hit! It also has Free pool and darts if you want a more chilled night. Decent priced drinks so you don’t break the bank. The staff a fun and friendly too 🙂”
“You want some good food without spending an arm and a leg? Yan's the place to go. The fried rice is off the hook and the fried chicken is authentic HK style. Rivalling Vancouver/Toronto being some of the best. This place is a hidden gem in Banff. I guaranteed you wouldn't be disappointed and if you are, this isnt you're type of food. This will hit the spot after a day of exploring. The food does take a while to come out but the chef makes it on the spot. Who wouldnt want it that way anyways?! We found this spot by luck and feeling bless to have tried Yan's cooking. Yan's the Man!”
“I can’t say enough good things about Alpha Bistro. We stayed at RMR for a family vacation and went to Alpha Bistro for my wife’s birthday. We were initially somewhat apprehensive because it seemed quiet (off season) but Kelly made us feel so special and really hit the nail on the head. Dinner was phenomenal… we both ordered the steak. It was absolutely delicious and truly exceeded our expectations. Kelly made us laugh more than a dozen times and really made my wife feel special on her big day. We couldn’t be happier with this place. It will be a go-to for us in the future.”
“My wife and I always stay at the Canalta lodge in Banff and the Cafe is fantastic there, amazing coffee and drinks. Thank you to everyone at the Canalta you are amazing people and we appreciate all of your hard work and friendliness. You are truly an amazing group of people”
“Edo Japon has became my favorite restaurant. The food is delicious, fresh, healthy and, the portions are just enough.
The service 5 stars. People is always helpful and friendly. I use to go anywhere because I travel a lot but the Cascade shop in Banff I used the most. Thanks guys. See you next week.”
“This Starbucks at Banff Gondola has hands down one of the most breathtaking locations I've ever experienced - situated right at the Banff Gondola with absolutely incredible mountain views all around. The staff provided great service throughout our visit, and I was impressed by how much seating was available, making it easy to find a comfortable spot to relax. Whether you are looking for a quick coffee to go or want to settle in with a bite to eat while soaking in those amazing alpine views, this location delivers on all fronts. The combination of quality service, plenty of space, and that unbeatable mountain setting makes this a must-visit stop when you are at the gondola.”

“Oh wow... I was honestly treated so much better here than I was at the keg that I worked for personally back in Calgary. Our server Lauren was so kind and spot on with our table service, and when the missus' steak was a little underdone for her liking, Lauren took care of it right away and had it cooked by the kitchen staff to perfection. Gerry/Jerry the General Manager came over to our table and wanted to make sure everything was tasting great (which it was!) and he was such a delight to speak with. I honestly wished my GM from the Keg I worked with back in Calgary was even half as friendly as he was! Thank you to everybody who was on that night for making our Valentines Day so amazing, and we will certainly be back to eat at the Keg in the Caribou lodge specifically! Thanks a million Lauren and Gerry!”
“One of the most beautiful shops I have ever seen. Their tea packaging is stunning and made a perfect gift to bring home to friends and family from Banff. Also love the tea towels and the amazing chocolates they carry.”

“My husband and I had reservations at a different steakhouse for our wedding night- but when we arrived they had closed for Reno’s and didn’t even call us. We ended up choosing the Bluebird instead- and we were blown away! The best food we’ve ever had, hands down. Thank you for making our wedding dinner so special and delicious- and for getting us a last minute table!”
