“Have you ever had a meal in which you just don't want it to end? The flavors enhanced one another. We had scallops served with a pork belly slowly roasted to perfection. Our bison burger was so tender, cooked med rare and the freshest beets, potatoes and carrots roasted . The carmel toffee dessert melted in your mouth. The service was spot on. a lovely meal to the end of a great vacation in Banff.”

“Good value and economical. Every meal comes with minestrone soup or salad, a hot beverage and Spumoni ice cream, plus bread with garlic butter for the table. Pasta portions are generous and filling.

The food is fairly simple and nothing too fancy. The dishes could do with a bit more seasoning, though. Regardless, the amount of food you get for the price is hard to turn down.

“Brazen should be at the TOP of everyone’s food list in Banff. The atmosphere, wait-staff( Rylee rocked!), and Chef Dan were amazing! The food and drinks were phenomenal and first class. We ate at many restaurants in Banff and none touched the quality and taste of Brazen. We started with drinks of local beers from the rotating tap and the Garden Tea Party cocktail. We then moved on to the food portion of the meal. We had numerous dishes (mushrooms, ribs, potatoes, duck, gnocchi, and the ginger beef) and were pleased with the bold and flavorful taste of them all. We topped off the night with the house special Creme Brûlée and it was the perfect end to a delicious meal. Do yourself a favor and try this excellent restaurant!!”

“What a wonderful surprise in Banff! Coming from a big city, I have to admit that after a few days here, I was still looking for a restaurant that would really impress me. This one absolutely did.

The menu has a great variety, everything we tried was delicious, and the quality of the food was outstanding. But the meat deserves a special mention—it was simply exceptional, honestly some of the best I’ve ever had.

The whole experience exceeded our expectations and reminded us how memorable a great meal can be. We enjoyed it so much that we decided to come back again today—and I think that says more than anything else.

Definitely one of our favorite dining experiences in Banff. If you appreciate excellent food and beautifully prepared meat, this is a place you should not miss.”

“Grabbed a window table around 8pm and the view of the river lit up against the mountains almost upstaged the food, almost. The chef's omakase board had this seared torched salmon nigiri with a hint of yuzu that I'm still thinking about weeks later. Service was sharp and unhurried at the same time, our server clearly knew the menu inside out and paced things well even though the place was packed. Small detail but they validate parking at the lot across the street, which after a full day of hiking around Banff is exactly the kind of thing you notice and appreciate.”

We all enjoyed our meals and the service was excellent. Our server (Bre?) was very friendly and efficient and managed to keep our bills organized. A wonderful evening.”

“Great bar! It is the only one up tunnel mountain which is great for anyone who doesn’t want to venture all the way downtown and worry about getting a taxi back later when the buses have stopped. The live music and activities keep it fun, with karaoke being a big hit! It also has Free pool and darts if you want a more chilled night. Decent priced drinks so you don’t break the bank. “I can’t say enough good things about Alpha Bistro. We stayed at RMR for a family vacation and went to Alpha Bistro for my wife’s birthday. We were initially somewhat apprehensive because it seemed quiet (off season) but Kelly made us feel so special and really hit the nail on the head. Dinner was phenomenal… we both ordered the steak. It was absolutely delicious and truly exceeded our expectations. Kelly made us laugh more than a dozen times and really made my wife feel special on her big day. Classic bacon and eggs breakfast was as good as you’ll get anywhere, but under $10 USD. Ample table seating inside and out. Do not be dissuaded because it is attached to a gas station. A&W for the win!”

Our server Lauren was so kind and spot on with our table service, and when the missus' steak was a little underdone for her liking, Lauren took care of it right away and had it cooked by the kitchen staff to perfection. Gerry/Jerry the General Manager came over to our table and wanted to make sure everything was tasting great (which it was!) and he was such a delight to speak with. I honestly wished my GM from the Keg I worked with back in Calgary was even half as friendly as he was! Thank you to everybody who was on that night for making our Valentines Day so amazing, and we will certainly be back to eat at the Keg in the Caribou lodge specifically! “Four of us on a coach tour had a 1.5 hour lunch stop in Banff and picked Tooloulou's off Caribou Street. Great decision.

The catfish bites are excellent. Two in our group were under the weather and the cowboy Cajun soup was exactly what they needed. My wife had the catfish po' boy and raved about it the rest of the day.

Service was quick, which matters when you are on a clock. Prices are fair for a tourist town. If you are in Banff and want something with actual flavor, walk down Caribou and eat here.”
