Reserved via OpenTable and had the best seat in the house, a great table upstairs overlooking downtown. Gabby took excellent care of us. The Agnolotti was unlike any dish if we’ve ever had. Wow, incredible! The pesto pasta dish also blew us away! Perfection!”

This is going to sound hyperbolic, but there is no easy way to describe how thoughtful, elegant, and surprising are all of the ways this team was able to deliver such an amazing sensory experience. Incredible presentation, texture, balance, subtlety. Sublime! Transcendent? Ok, I know, it sounds over the top, but it has to be said. The Sommelier, (I think his name is Robert but I had 7 tastings of wine) is an absolute marvel of knowledge, playfulness and astute storytelling while leading you on a truly singular and expansive tasting experience. And, all of this in an unfussy, warm and fun atmosphere. If you have a chance, go here and experience this! It will be a memory you will want to revisit often. Truly a rare gem.”

“Brazen should be at the TOP of everyone’s food list in Banff. The atmosphere, wait-staff( Rylee rocked!), and Chef Dan were amazing! The food and drinks were phenomenal and first class. We ate at many restaurants in Banff and none touched the quality and taste of Brazen. We started with drinks of local beers from the rotating tap and the Garden Tea Party cocktail. We then moved on to the food portion of the meal. We had numerous dishes (mushrooms, ribs, potatoes, duck, gnocchi, and the ginger beef) and were pleased with the bold and flavorful taste of them all. We topped off the night with the house special Creme Brûlée and it was the perfect end to a delicious meal. Do yourself a favor and try this excellent restaurant!!”

“Have you ever had a meal in which you just don't want it to end? The flavors enhanced one another. We had scallops served with a pork belly slowly roasted to perfection. Our bison burger was so tender, cooked med rare and the freshest beets, potatoes and carrots roasted . The carmel toffee dessert melted in your mouth. The service was spot on. a lovely meal to the end of a great vacation in Banff.”

“A local we met hiking recommended we try this place and we are glad we did! Excellent views from the bar overlooking the street, glass ceiling up top, super cute decor all make it great. The food though is on another level - beats brewed in house, fall off the bone ribs, excellent wood fired pizza, and the BEST waffle fries I’ve ever had in my life. The service was also a bonus and we really enjoyed the knowledgeable Irish waitress and all her recommendations.”

“Grabbed a quick bite here for breakfast and lunch and was served both times by Dax. He provided excellent service. Happily answered my questions and when I came back for lunch he remembered how I liked my tea. Food was good (had the protein wrap for breakfast and quinoa and lentil salad for lunch - both were good) and the service was excellent.”

“Everything is freshly made daily including the bread and English muffins used for breakfast items, to the pastries and chai tea, also serve locally brewed coffee! The breakfast sandwich was such a pleasant surprise, it seemed simple at first glance but what a perfect combination of flavors and whatever seasoning was used blew me away. We also got the avocado toast which was elevated with a poached egg, goat cheese, and balsamic on freshly baked sourdough. The homemade chai tea like the owner’s grandma used to make was amazing. I normally don’t drink chai but loved my husband’s so much I had to get my own cup. It’s just a short drive from downtown, we noticed mainly locals and regulars coming in to this husband and wife owned shop. Update: After trying some other breakfast spots in town, nothing can compete with Bare Bistro so we revisited today getting to try to eggs benedict and omelette, the sauce used for the benedict was amazing (homemade of course). We also tried some of the pastries which were all perfectly baked and delicious. We’ve tried just about everything on the menu and haven’t been disappointed in anything. We will be back tomorrow to finish trying everything (mainly pastries left). Very friendly owners and you can tell they take pride in what they do (as they should). “Absolutely gorgeous view from pretty much wherever you are sitting in here. Multiple vegan options here now compared to 10 years ago! Busy during conferences. Lots of elk sitting outside near the amphitheater when we visited.

“I can’t say enough good things about Alpha Bistro. We stayed at RMR for a family vacation and went to Alpha Bistro for my wife’s birthday. We were initially somewhat apprehensive because it seemed quiet (off season) but Kelly made us feel so special and really hit the nail on the head. Dinner was phenomenal… we both ordered the steak. It was absolutely delicious and truly exceeded our expectations. Kelly made us laugh more than a dozen times and really made my wife feel special on her big day. We couldn’t be happier with this place. It will be a go-to for us in the future.”

Broccoli was a bit undercooked, but otherwise, it was average for a food court.”

“Bread is good. Been buying at Safeway. I was however surprised and disappointed when I noticed the size of the loaf this morning was much smaller. I looked at the label and saw it has gone down from 850g to 650g (almost a quarter less) for the same price (so 24% price increase).”

Our server Lauren was so kind and spot on with our table service, and when the missus' steak was a little underdone for her liking, Lauren took care of it right away and had it cooked by the kitchen staff to perfection. Gerry/Jerry the General Manager came over to our table and wanted to make sure everything was tasting great (which it was!) and he was such a delight to speak with. The vibe in the restaurant is nice, and the table service is good as well. The Crawfish Shrimp Étouffée is a little bit spicy (Spicy level 3.5/5), but it still tastes delicious! And the drink is nice too, at first I thought it would be sour, but then it turned out not too sour nor too sweet. The texture of corn bread is soft, not too dry.
If you want to come here as a large group of people (5 person or above), I would recommend you book a table first.”
