“This place is pure Guatemalan awesomeness! It's just as good if not better than the original. The pan francés And pan dulce are on point, and the breakfast is amazing. If you love Guatemalan and Central American style breakfast this is the place for you. I have to warn you though, parking and seating is tough on the weekends. So be ready to park a few blocks away, and hunt for a good table once you get there.”

I have seen many locations across the bay area.

Food: Most of the foods are grilled or fried. All of them are tasty and fresh. Many fish choices, sauces, and sites to choose from. My favorite sauces are garlic butter and Cajun. The fish and chips are very good with tartar sauce. The grilled sea bass fish are very flavorful and would recommend having sauce on the side.

Price: very reasonable price for portions of food.”

The taco was good, next time I'm using this salsa on the Burrito. I'd definitely have it again.
The Burrito was 🔥. The use a good amount of asada along with waffle fries. Which is officially a game changer for California burritos. (Note, there is a surcharge for the asada, not sure about the other meats.)”

We started with the gyozas and edamame as appetizers, and both were absolutely delicious. For our main dishes, I ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen, while my partner had the Black Garlic Ramen. Everything was amazing—from the rich flavors to the beautiful presentation!

For drinks, we ordered Calpicos to keep things mild, but they also offer a wide variety of interesting sakes that we would love to try next time. We finished our meal with the puff balls for dessert, and they were incredible!

The entire experience exceeded our expectations, and we will definitely be coming back!”

The large would have been too big. Bowl came out and the portions were generous. Rice noodles, blood pork, brisket, cha lua (steamed pork), even pork hock! Had high expectations, but alas the soup left something to be desired. Broth was spicy, salty, but I missed the fermented shrimp paste flavor that should be there. Otherwise, this is a great place to have a late night Vietnamese meal. Next time, I will have to try the laksa.”

“Los Metates has a decent taco salad $16. It tasted fine but it felt small. It is missing key ingredients like pico del gallo. Pico del gallo (tomatoes and onions) would have made this salad 2x better as it blends well with iceberg lettuce and gives is more flavor. It comes with free chips and two condiment cups of salsa. Both sauce cups were spicy. Service was quick as I was the customer at 6:30pm. One weird thing, the menu on the wall with the photos, some items don't have prices on them. For example, Quesabirria tacos are $8 each. I don't like restaurants where they don't put prices on their menu.”

“I’ve been to a lot a pho places and I must say the pho here is really good! I got the rare steak and beef ball pho. It was tasty, flavorful and not greasy. It was very busy when I came in but I got a table after waiting about 10 minutes or so. I ordered their Vietnamese ice coffee with boba and it was delicious as well!”

The prices are great and portions just right. The food is wonderful although there are rare days it might be off (maybe a different cook for that day). Parking is limited so order ahead for to-go unless you park at the Walgreens across the street. The owner is nice and is the one always taking orders.”

Had the 2 piece combo. 2 chicken thighs (spicy and regular) - both were delicious, juicy and surprisingly large (compared to Popeyes) with gravy, 2 sides (mashed potatoes and gravy, Cole slaw) and a biscuit for $12.62 out the door. Parking lot was crowded but had no trouble finding a spot that required a short walk. Eating area was crowded but was able to share a table with a kind and delightful little old (her words - 87) Filipino Lady enjoying Palabok. Can't wait until my next trip out to this area!”

“I haven't been here in hella long. The silogs were made fresh to order. I think it was a little pricy but well worth it for the occasional treat when you don't want to cook.
We ordered:

1. Longsilog: Still as good as I remember but now they open it up.

2. Tocilog: Sweet and I love the little pieces. I'm not a fan when they are big pieces

3. Chicken bbq- My niece liked it, it just had to be warmed up.

4. Picadilllo: I wasn't a fan of, too sweet and too much bell peppers and carrots.

5. Garlic peanuts: My dad liked it but said it's too salty.

6. I had asked for a sode of sabao and the sinigang was so deliciously sour.”

“This is a brand new bakery in our area. They have a grocery store right across the street from the spot. What a quaint and beautiful bakery with all kinds of savory and sweet pastries options.

The employees there are very friendly and will assist you the best that they can.

There is plenty of parking. However, the ihop nearby can really get busy and take up the spaces quickly.

There's a section of the bakery that has seating, as you can see from my pictures. Your view outside to the parking lot. And the inside is just very tastefully done and matches the environment.

“Huge portions and really good food! The star of the show was the molcajete. It had fried fish, shrimp, chicken, and carne asada in it- with a ton of meat in ours. We also had the quesabirria which were full of meat too! Next time we will just share the molcajete but definitely will be back.”

“I went here over the weekend, I didn't know that ownership had changed and the items being sold were different until I came across it on yelp/google. I was looking for best breakfast places near me. I read they offered a variety of empanadas and hopia ube.
I walked in to see a line and a bunch of O.G. lolos/lolas playing scratchers/ drinking coffee. I was like ok they must be good if there's a line. I ordered a sampler for my family to try of empanadas: pork,beef,tuna, and chicken. For my husband and I we got ube and mongo hopia.
The empanadas were a hit with my family. The hopias were fresh and flaky. The inside had a generous amount of ube/mongo. I found the price of $8 for 5 pieces to be steep but it's way better than Goldilocks and the possible hit or miss hopia from other places.
I'll definitely be back soon to try the empanadas first hand and get more hopia. The gentleman who helped me was super nice and took the time to talk to me despite the growing line. I'm not too sure what the people in line were waiting for but I'll be back to find out and keep you posted!”
