“Best roast duck!!! I always thought Sam Woo was the best , but their duck is delicious. Everything was freshly made!!”

“Came here pretty much when they opened for the day, there was already some people inside for a Saturday. When we finished eating, the restaurant was barely half full?

Food wise, the bbq meats are pretty decent cuts for what you pay for and the big shrimp we ordered is actually pretty good. They didn't have a real fishy smell, which is a plus, knowing some places just serve what they have sitting out.

There is a sauce bar with appetizers near the front of the restaurant, the bar itself is already baked into the price, there isn't any extra fee. There is also a self serve sherbet freezer with three flavors: vanilla, chocolate, and rainbow, as of writing this.

For the non grill foods, the soup and cold noodles are decently portion, definitely should split it up with others so you don't overfill. The popcorn chicken can be ordered as a half order, and to my surprise, it actually is pretty decent in terms of texture and juiciness, only downside is I wish they used some spice in the coating to give it a bit more oomph.

Overall, if I am ever in the area here, I might consider coming back when I'm looking for AYCE.”

“The most authentic Nanjing Salty Duck, I have bought from this restaurant for years! The old owner was from Nanjing and the recipe was from the most famous duck restaurant in that region, but sadly after Covid they only provided take out service, it still the same quality even after the new owner took over the store!
Their duck were purchased from different state, less fat and more tender meet, and the cutting skill kept the way it should be, each piece is thinner and neat!

“This is the most authentic skewers shop I have ever eaten in Los Angeles. My friends and I often go there. They also have Taiwanese barbecued sausages. The street starch sausages we eat in China? Malatang are also very authentic?

Parking: There are very few parking spaces at their house. Almost every time I go there, I have to park on the street. It is easy to find on the street.”

I was 11 years old and had to shout my order too!! Been a patron since 1982!!”

Wrap with lettuce, carrot, cilantro and dip in fish sauce. Good combination that enhance all flavors.Even a semi fast food style restaurant, customer service was friendly.There was no tips section when process the credit cards machine. “Love this place. Close to home and it's delicious. Always get chicken cheese verde enchiladas with beans and rice. The green are best and the red enchiladas are just as delicious. With a Mexican coke tab comes out to about $21 bucks. For delicious food I don't mind. Service is no complaints and is fine. The atmosphere is quiet, peaceful, I usually can read a book and not be bothered or interrupted.

Parking: Parking is west of the restaurant, can pull in off Valley, or from the Alley on the West Street of restaurant that runs north and south of the restaurant.”

I had the French Toast Combo with a large orange juice came out to $22.20. With a $7.80 tip came to $30 flat. Food was fine/delicious, place seemed clean. Lot of help in the kitchen, pretty fast service, no complaints. The atmosphere gives like veterans POW/Elk Lodge/small town/diner vibes, a handful of older(40/50+) dudes, a young teen couple and a family with toddler was here when I sat in at 10am on Wednesday morning. Parking: I was able to find a spot,but it is limited-if busy.”

They were kind enough to accommodated my last minute request. They did a great job on my sons cake. Don’t waste your time googling anymore bakeries, this is it. Ps- make sure to taste their butterfly twist crisp at check out, so good.”

The cabeza and asada meats are really good here and the asada is real asada ,not that weird chopped up meat other spots be selling as asada. Prices are good and the comida doesn't disappoint. We haven't tried anything bad here yet. The frijoles are tasty as fuhhh, you can always tell a good spot by their frijoles and the bean and cheese burros are pretty damn good. Good service too! They stay busy here.They close at 630pm daily and they are closed on mondays.... man o man I think ima go hit up El taco man right now!”

“I have made boba stops every day this week while I’ve been in LA. I had the strawberry matcha drink. It was decent for what it is but the strawberry that is used seems to be a syrup base which wasn’t my personal preference. Reminded me of what gets used in a McDonalds strawberry sundae.

“They used to be New Wok on Peck Rd next to the dealership in the shopping center! They are the best Wok in El Monte! I almost cried after eating their food. We tried other Woks from 5 different cities, NONE of them compare! Have been a customer since I was a kid! So happy they are reopen! It’s our first visit to their new location.

Their rice in this visit was a bit too salty and taste slightly different too. But, their signature chow mein is SO good! No other place compares! Their egg roles are also delicious too! Their food quantity is just as big too! You really get your bang for your buck:

2 combo is like $10-$11 and the 3 combo is $12.49ish.

They used to have vegetarian/pescatarian options, but not anymore. I hope they have more veggie and seafood options!”

“This is a wonderful way to cater a fun party! The caterers arrive and set up their grill/fry station, sides, etc. We had them use a side patio which worked out great. The menu choices were fantastic, and the food was delicious! Everyone commented on how delicious the tacos, quesadillas and potato taquitos all were. Definitely recommended!”

“This is definitely one of those hidden gems. Had a crazy work day running around when I decided to pull in and just have a nice little lunch. Boy did they deliver. One of the best wet burritos I've ever had. The Al Pastor was marinated and cooked to perfection with the wonderful green sauce having a playful kick (not too hot but not boring). The mix of flavors worked wonderfully leaving me very full and very satisfied. Wonderful little place with friendly service and sad that it's so far from where I actually live. Highly recommend”

Parking: Few parking spots in front, but it's located in a small shopping center with extra parking. It reminds me of the old car hop burger spots because the parking is right in front of the outside order window.”

Just a dream place for anyone planning an ice cream party -- they mostly sell ice cream in bulk but also offer select individual ice creams that you normally would buy from ice cream trucks. It's not really a place you want to bring your kids just because parking is limited and there's traffic as ice cream trucks are constantly moving around to load up with goodies -- so be very careful if you decide to bring a kiddo. It has a small and busy parking lot but Polar Ice Cream is gem of a place! Great place to get things to pleasantly surprise your family!”

This had some great reviews and the pictures looked good.I ordered the mayonnaise shrimp, bbq pork noodle soup, wonton soup and others. The mayo shrimp was excellent and reminds me of walnut shrimp at other locations. The bbq pork of the noodle soup was delicious and the broth was on point.I would definitely come back and try their other menu items. Parking was descent and a great spot to get some noodle soup.”

“Just went back with my family. It's open!!! We've missed this place and before they closed, they changed the cook which changed the taste. Can officially say TASTY BOWL IS BACK!!! Open and with the same taste as the beginning!!! So good!! Everybody was very happy with their food. You know it's good when no one is talking and only eating ?? SO HAPPY, 10/10. They also have a couple of new items, I believe? They have a new Takoyaki sign as well with a beverage and something else. (My picture is the beef ramen without the broth inside, the broth comes in a separate bowl for takeout to maintain the texture of the meat and ramen as you travel to your destination which is very considerate of them!)

Parking: Plenty of parking for them, usually always a couple spaces to park.

Wheelchair accessibility: They have handicap spots closer to the building and space for wheelchairs to get to the front.”
