“Such a super fun place with yummy food! Bring your stretchy pants!!
The restaurant is clean and decorated to have a good time! The service was very friendly and helpful!
They offer both KBBQ and seafood boil. We had both and enjoyed each bite.
They also have a bar area offering sides for your KBBQ and so many roll choices.
We had the premium menu and took advantage of their amazing offer of a free boil (deal ends soon, check restaurant). The premium menu had plenty of choice meats offered including seafood choices such as shrimp and octopus.
The servers there were quick to change out the grill for us and make sure we had everything we needed.
The boil itself was generous and tasty. We had the house special flavor, which I recommend! In their boil they offer one crab or lobster pp. we had one of each and wow! Felt special!
We will be back!”
“Came here on a whim with my daughter. So glad we did. Food is amazing staff is great. Medudo was so good. Reminds me of eating at my grandma's table. My daughter loved her asada burrito too. The aguas frescas are soo good they are full of flavor and not watered down like other places I've been to. This place definately does not disappoint. Cute little restaurant. Definitely recommend 100%. As a Mexican I am very picky and find it hard to find good mexican food while I am out and about. Will definitely come back and bring others with me.”
“Best roast duck!!! I always thought Sam Woo was the best , but their duck is delicious. Everything was freshly made!!”

“Very good place to get your Peruvian food fix. The menu is pretty diverse. We got the classic lomo saltado and tried the ceviche de pescado. They first gave us bread that was garlic bread surprisingly with the aji sauce. It was delicious and spicy and garlicky. The ceviche de pescado was excellent. It had that tangy citrus orange marinade with lime and with the nuts and corn nuts. The white fish was soft and cooked thoroughly and delicious. The lomo came out in huge portions that surprised me (basically two meals). The sauce and fries went well together with the onions rice and tomatoes. The meat was decent and it all went together well.
The table came in a lazy Susan style for family style sharing which is convenient. The waiter was very nice but not very attentive as we had to ask for water and check & boxes by intentionally getting their attention and walking to them for assistance. The decor is very chill and homely with a variety of music in the background. The whole place is very red and decorated with various Peruvian cultural references.
Prices are fairly reasonable for the portions you get.”

“😃I like the way they cook all family members working real Thai Food cook by Thai people”
“Came in for lunch with a couple friends and had a pretty good experience overall. The dim sum selection was larger than I expected, and most of the dishes arrived hot and fresh. The shrimp dumplings were probably my favorite, while a few of the buns were just okay. Service was friendly, though it got a little slow once the place filled up. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and felt clean and welcoming. Prices seemed fair for the amount of food we ordered. I'd definitely come back to try some of the items I missed this time around.”
“the restaurant is super clean. If you show up thinking you're going to order Orange chicken, Broccoli beef, kung pao chicken or any of that chinese fast food then this is not the place for you. BUT if you're looking for some delicious mouth watering dumplings cooked in various forms then you're at the CORRECT place. I brought my mom here and we tried the pork chive regular dumplings, the pan fried beef and cumin dumplings and the regular fried rice. All of it was delicious. Also they give you a complimentary bowl of egg drop corn soup. NOT a small bowl but a good size portion, it was GOOOOOD. I will definitely be back with the rest of the family and I want to try the beef noodle soup. DON'T fall asleep on the fried rice.”
“My first time here, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The rare beef pho was absolutely delicious, with a rich, flavorful broth and tender beef that melted in my mouth.
What really stood out, though, was the outstanding customer service. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The staff made me feel right at home, checked in regularly, and were happy to answer questions and make recommendations. It's rare to find a place where both the food and service are equally impressive.
Great food, great atmosphere, and genuinely kind people. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious pho and exceptional service.”
“The Jolly Jug is one of those iconic places that can never be duplicated. The original Jolly Jug was in South El Monte in the 1930s and people came from all around to eat their famous Pastrami’s and Beef Dip sandwiches. Going into another century of their delicious food and cold beer, you can’t go wrong by making a pit stop here. In a world of hip restaurants trying to reinvent LA cuisine, the Jug is comfort food, done right. ❤️”
“I stumbled upon this place while driving from LA to Las Vegas and searching for breakfast. We came all the way from Maryland for my birthday weekend, and this has been the best food we’ve had so far on our trip. Everything was amazing—from the coffee to the buttered bread served at the table. You can really see and taste the homemade care put into every dish.
I had the home fries, and you could tell they were hand-cut from thinly sliced potatoes. My friend ordered the veggie omelet—my God, it was so good. I had the pork chops with home fries and eggs, and wow… if only you could taste this plate. Don’t skip the homemade salsa they bring to the table—absolutely incredible. I highly recommend this place. 10s across the board.”
“The food and the service were amazing!!!”
“You will never get a sub quite as lovely as these. I don’t know why they’re so good, maybe fresh bread and fresh ingredients IDK but Turkey extra chili is my fave!! Mom loves Milanesa and the fried sides are YUMM too! I learned how to make my voice heard at the old little market. The big construction men at lunch time would be shouting out their orders. I was 11 years old and had to shout my order too!! Been a patron since 1982!!”
“The most authentic 鸭血粉丝汤 in North America that I’ve had so far (9.5/10 - noodles a lil wider than what I’ve had but such a NIT). Got more duck gizzards to go (10/10). Duck tender, delicious (9/10)”
“Love the pizza. I wish they would expand their toppings. The one complaint is their online ordering form by Tabit.us is terrible to use. The fields for data entry are too small, and you can’t see if you’ve made an entry error. For example when entering my phone number I accidentally hit one wrong number, and didn’t see it until it went to send the confirmation code to the wrong number. I used the back arrow, and was not able to enter a new phone number. I deleted the whole order, reordered, and it pulled up the wrong phone number again. The only way I was able to place an order was to delete the order AGAIN, log out of the website, log back in, and select NO to Use location? Terrible ordering experience that could easily be fixed with a better form design. It’s not rocket science.”

“The bolo bao ice cream sandwich was the bomb! I had it with ube ice cream. The garlic fries - lots of fresh garlic with a side of bomb lemon aoili and house sauce! The best! Passionfruit green tea was perfect for the hot weather! So cute inside too! It's a smaller space and a one man show. Everything is made fresh so please be patient - it's worth the wait! Great service! It's a hidden gem to the right of BofA in the plaza. — at CrispyandFluffed.”
“Ordered at the front and took about 10-15 minutes for the food to come out.
Asada taco - $2.50 - they are pretty generous with the meat! They’ll give you red and green sauce. You can ask for both!
Shrimp taco - $3.00 - pretty good! Its not shrimp, but more of a shrimp patty? You can taste the pieces of shrimp when you bite into it as well!
Fish taco- $3.00 - theres more batter for fish - luckily the toppings help balance the oil from the fried batter. The size of the fish when i ordered to eat there was big. The one i ordered to-go was smaller. I was a bit disappointed at first but the flavor didn’t change. I asked for sauce to go as well.
Horchata - cant go wrong with it! They have regular or large!
Parking: limited! Street parking is available!”
“This is a small place that feels like you're eating at your Abuelita's place. With authentic Mexican food and drinks. They make the cafe de olla in the clay pot. They even tweaked a meal for me to be the way I like it. I have been a few times and haven't been disappointed. Give them a try.”
“Aloha Stacks is a popular Hawaiian-style breakfast and brunch spot known for its large pancakes and spam masubi. It's a family-owned chain located in a tiny plaza at 10300 Lower Azusa Rd in El Monte.
We came very early morning to grab some breakfast. Customers will
need to order on the counter before seating down. Dinning area is neat, spacious with a relaxing atmosphere. We ordered drip coffee, OJ, Avocado omelette and Blueberry Pancakes. Coffee was mediocre in taste except for the fresh juice. Foods were great and tasty. Service was spot on. Staff were assiduous and professional. Prices are competitive. Parking was easy. Overall, I enjoyed an early breakfast.”
“Walk into pho huỳnh I was immediately struck by the inviting atmosphere. The decor blend modern elements with touches of Vietnamese tradition, created a warm, cozy space. Soft lighting, calm music, and hint of aromatic spices in the air, set the perfect tone for an authentic dining experience.”
“Good tasting food, calm atmosphere, and super friendly staff. I come here once a month for a Thursday meet up with friends and try different items on the menu. They are all delicious.”
“They are very good. I don’t eat Carnitas from nowhere else. I go all the way to where they’re at. They are really good and I really do recommend them. Specially, their Chicharron.”
“I like going to the tanampa. Becouse its never that jam pack i lik to shoot pool there everone that there minds there own bissiness doing there own thing at the bar .wieghters treat you with respect . noone disrespect you unless hou dont show respect for your self .”

“Sakura Grill is a great spot for fresh, flavorful Japanese-inspired dishes served in a relaxed, casual setting. The menu has a nice variety, and everything comes out well-prepared and consistent. The grilled items are especially satisfying tender, well-seasoned, and cooked just right.
Service is friendly and efficient, and orders are handled quickly whether you’re dining in or taking out. The atmosphere is simple and comfortable, making it easy to enjoy a laid-back meal. Overall, Sakura Grill is a solid go-to for dependable, tasty food with good value.”
“This is a very cozy spot to grab a good meal. It’s not fancy or over the top, but that’s honestly part of its charm. It feels like a small local Japanese place where the focus is simply on serving good, comforting food.
The staff were very kind as well. It happened to be raining when we arrived, and they were nice enough to let us come in a little earlier than opening, which we really appreciated.
I ordered the pork cutlet with curry and the portion was very generous — definitely satisfying and full of flavor. The only small hiccup was that my Diet Coke was forgotten at first, so I had to ask again, but they brought it out shortly after.
Overall, it was a really pleasant experience. If you’re looking for a casual place with tasty food and a relaxed atmosphere, this spot is definitely worth checking out. The price per person is also very reasonable for the portion sizes you get.”
“I came from canada and I was driving around to look for some Indian food that's where I saw curry time and spoke to the host Amita MONGA and the way she welcomed me was unbelievable and the food that she recommended was so mouth watering that I couldn't resist and took some food for home as well for my family Must try thief food”
“This is place has the best events and open mics ! They also hold game nights with karaoke and food is delicious especially the popcorn chicken and dumplings 🥟! Place is only open during private events/parties or during big sports events! If you’re looking for a place to get a beer and hang out for live music this is the place in El Monte !!!”
“Delicious and flavorful dim sum! Portion sizes are huge! They aren't the little tiny servings at the dim sum restaurants.
It's take out only. And cash is preferred but they take credit cards too.
This is an old school mom and pop place and the owners are super gracious and down to earth! Prices are cheap too!
Go support them!”

“Had a great experience here the other day. Looks to be a family run thing. I think it’s the dad who is cooking and the son helps out and I believe the mom. Love seeing this kind of thing. Need more of it. And the food is also really good haha. I’d definitely recommend their Caldo De Res or their Enchilada plate.”
“South El Monte is full of Asian foods and this place is where people come for Taiwanese items and boba. There are about 10+ other options for boba stores in South El Monte though this spot is one of the best for prices. It is affordable and give good deals, better than boba stores in cities like Monterey Park and Arcadia so people always come by and shop here.”
“two days ago was the first time in this place. But It is no doubt not the last. We had great time with the courteous service, with the magnificent cooking and fine drinks and with the friendly pay. We will surely come back soon.”
“Su grande pista de baile y siempre buenos eventos con el mejor ambiente y muncha seguridad”

“The employee who took our order over the drive-thru intercom was very friendly and helpful. The spicy sauce was delicious and added great flavor to the meal. The sandwich and cookie were both fresh and tasty. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely visit again.”
“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5-Star Review
This Jack in the Box in South El Monte is a great spot, especially with the updates they’re making! The location is currently under construction, so just keep that in mind — but the remodel is looking really nice and worth it. The inside decor has a modern feel with touches of art that make it stand out.
I also loved seeing that they’ve been established since 1988 — it shows their history in the community and adds a nice, local touch.
The staff here are very friendly, respectful, and welcoming. They provide great service and make the experience smooth from start to finish. Another big plus is that this location accepts EBT, which is really helpful.
The food was fresh, the service was quick, and they even play good music while you dine in, which adds to the overall vibe.
Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the South El Monte area — great food, great service, and a cool environment! ⭐🍔🎶”
“Prices higher than other locations, but for the service and cleanliness, which are above average, worth it. I don’t like that there’s people with no kids in the kids area. And peoples going out through the emergency door, even though the alarms sounds and there’s a poster saying: this is only an emergency exit, alarm will sound...”
“Very small Ramen restaurant. The Daikokuya Ramen with fried rice is delicious. Edemame was lightly salted and really. I noticed a lot of to go orders, so it is a local favorite.”
“The food is delicious and the waitress are so kind they offer a very good service”

“This weekend, at my niece’s Sweet 16 celebration, I tasted a cake that completely changed my mind about dessert. I usually hate cake—but this one? Hands down the most delicious, unforgettable slice I’ve ever had. I was so blown away, I had to ask my sister-in-law where she got it and the exact location. It was that good.”
“El Monte doesn’t have too many good boba spots, but Ono Tea House is a decent option. Prices here are a little lower than most places, which is nice.
The tea itself is just okay — not super strong — and the drinks can lean on the sweeter side. I usually order mine with 1/4 sugar since I don’t like them too sweet.
Overall, it’s not a spot I’d go out of my way for, but if you’re in El Monte and really craving boba, it does the job.”
“Todo esta muy sabroso todo esta echo al momento todo es fresco recomendado al 💯 %”
“This place is more of a drinking bar. I tried this place out 2× and food was nasty so I never went back again until recently my friends wanted to go there to drink so I tried it the 3rd time. The saying goes 3rd time the charm and yes the food was actually good this time, I enjoyed every dishes that was ordered.”

“The moment the lady brought my tacos to the table, I got butterflies. The handmade tortillas and beautiful garnishes looked so appetizing, and the flavors were just as good as they looked.
The prices are great, and the whole experience felt authentic and welcoming. This is definitely a place I’ll keep coming back to whenever they’re open and I’m in the area.”
“This is a wonderful way to cater a fun party! The caterers arrive and set up their grill/fry station, sides, etc. We had them use a side patio which worked out great. The menu choices were fantastic, and the food was delicious! Everyone commented on how delicious the tacos, quesadillas and potato taquitos all were. Definitely recommended!”
“I’m devastated that I loved their pho so much too since I’m trying not to eat out as much. I had the pho with brisket and fried egg rolls. It was delicious and had generous amounts of all the fixings. I can eat but the pho portion was filling and shareable. The employees were very friendly even though I ended up there unexpectedly and had on a ratty tshirt and pijamas 😅”
“BEST CHINESE FOOD IN THE SGV , this is the same Chinese food spot that was on peck where the new target is now , and they moved here now, The portions are incredible and the food is always fresh because it’s busy all the time, I love it and been coming here weekly now 😊”
“Love this hidden spot. The food is delicious. The staff are very attentive. Vist the restaurant on Mother's day there was no wait time whatsoever my guest loved the food .”

“5 stars all across. i’ve been to their BG location as well but this one has a late night drive thru.
the appeal of al vapor style tacos is that they’re served VERY hot and minimal on the grease. they go down real easy.
great flavor asada and the salsa bar with all the fixings is kept very clean and has the icy cold temps.
would be great if they offered mexican coke. i’ve only seen the canned.”
“Place is literally off the freeway exit so it’s noisy and lots of dust! But don’t let the location fool you!!!! TACOS ARE 9/10-10/10 depending what you like. I tried Asada, Al Pastor, and birria and they were FIRE nice selection of drinks (Agua frescas and sodas) and nice fresh ”
“I’m so happy I found this place! The menu has so many delicious options, it was hard to choose. I ended up trying the Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio and Com Bo Luc Lac , and wow, they were both incredible! the spring rolls crispy, and the beef was tender and flavorful. Everything felt fresh and full of authentic Vietnamese flavor. On top of that, the staff were so friendly and welcoming, it really made the whole meal even better. Can’t wait to come back and try more dishes!”
“I had lower expectations for this place but it was actually pretty good. The place was packed. I paid $21.99 plus $1.80 in tax for a Saturday.
They have a salad, fruit, and dessert bar. A lot of greasy items, seafood, American food like pizza, wings, fries, etc., Chinese food, sushi including sashimi, as well as Mongolian. I liked the sashimi and snow crab legs although the shell was hard to crack.”
“Chinese BBQ has become one of our favorite types of places and this place uses a northern style where my wife is from. Her family recommended it and we loved it. Fantastic authentic flavors and just downright delicious. Don’t let the exterior fool you.
I’m honestly not sure how easy it is to order here if you don’t know mandarin. I assume they have English menus or you can use a translate app, but I just hit the easy button and let my wife order stuff.
The beef and lamb skewers are probably the easiest to deal with for Americanized diners, but they have many different and more exotic cuts to try for the adventurous. They have a raw beef skewer which is lightly marinated which is excellent. It’s usually dipped in a wasabi and vinegar sauce which you make yourself on the table (like for sushi). At least that’s the way we eat it.
There’s a selection of drinks in a cooler you can pick from and other things to try besides the skewers. Overall this is now our favorite of all the US places we’ve tried and highly recommended.”

“I appreciate this place. It’s tricky to drive and park here so keep that in mind. The only way to enter the plaza is going north on Peck Road or east on Ramona. The staff here is overall very professional and wonderful. The quality of their drinks and bakery items is great too. I like their muffins, coffee, espresso and lavender latte. Look forward to trying more items.
Updated: Their strawberry matcha latte and horchata latte are amazing today, paired with their wonderful customer service. I look forward to trying their banana one some time. Their matcha horchata and strawberry mango Fresca are good too.
Note: for hot strawberry matcha latte, your milk options are oat milk or almond milk”

“I recently visited a coffee shop that offered a wonderful experience with its relaxing atmosphere, delicious drinks, and excellent customer service. As soon as I walked in, the comforting smell of freshly brewed coffee created a warm and inviting feeling. The shop had a modern yet cozy interior with soft lighting, comfortable seating, and calming background music that made it an ideal place to relax, study, or meet with friends. The menu featured a wide variety of beverages and snacks, including espresso drinks, cappuccinos, iced coffees, teas, pastries, and sandwiches. I ordered a vanilla latte along with a chocolate croissant, and both were outstanding. The coffee was rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced in flavor, while the croissant was fresh, flaky, and delicious. The presentation of the food and drinks was simple but attractive, showing the care and quality put into every order. The customer service was one of the best parts of my visit. The staff members were polite, welcoming, and attentive to customers’ needs. They prepared orders quickly while maintaining a friendly attitude, even during busy hours. Their positive energy made the overall experience even more enjoyable. The coffee shop was also very clean and organized, including the seating area, counter, and restrooms. Free Wi-Fi and charging outlets near the tables added convenience for customers who wanted to work or spend extra time there. Overall, this coffee shop provided an excellent experience with high-quality coffee, tasty snacks, and a comfortable environment. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable place to enjoy coffee and relax.”
