“First I learned the pronunciation of Donaji, a Oaxacan Princess, is (doh na hee).
A friend and I had margueritas: he had the Coco, and I had the Cadillac. Both drinks were delicious. There was no G4 Reposado, so they graciously swapped in another delicious, smokey Reposado.
We split a Mercado Ensalade, and there was plenty to split. The greens and oranges were fresh, and the pickled onions and hibiscus vinaigrette were just the right combination of sweet and sour.
He had the mole chicken enchiladas with a side serving of rice to ensure all the delicious mole was eaten. The combination of 26 ingredients blended to mole perfection was made for a flavor packed entree. I don't like mole, so I ordered the Mole Rojo Spare Ribs, without the mole sauce with a side of refried beans. What came to the table was the delicious Mole Rojo 1/4 chicken, without the mole sauce. I let them know I had ordered the Spare Ribs, and they apologized for the error, and said it would take a few minutes. I hated the thought that the chicken would go to waste and I decided to keep the different protein. I enjoyed a perfectly cooked piece of chicken, with a wonderfully spiced crispy skin with a small portion of pickled vegetables.
When our waiter returned with the dessert menus, he also brought two complimentary shots of Mezcal, orange slices an Tajin spice. The waiter again apologized for the order mix up. The smokey Mezcal was very smooth, and the orange slice and Tajin spice really elevated the taste.
We split the Churro Donut with warm chocolate sauce. Again, like all the other food, the churro was perfectly crisp and without any deep fried oily-ness. We struggled to use all the silky smooth, pourable chocolate sauce!
We both felt <$60/ person without tip was reasonable for the quality. At 6 PM parking in yellow loading zones on 24th Street was readily available. On a Wednesday night a DJ started to mix at around 8:45 PM. The DJ was experimenting with the sound volumes and eventually got it right, so conversation could be said & heard across the table.
This is definitely a place I'd recommend to friends and family.

They were light and airy, not heavy or greasy like too many places. Looking forward to trying more of the big menu. The agua fresca was guava, which was delicious too. Friendly low key service.”

“It’s a great place to meet friends for fun food and have a glass of wine… it has a cozy interior or you can sit out on Dolores sidewalk and enjoy the lovely neighborhood. The owner and his wife make make you feel relaxed and welcome. It’s also a great date spot and the tables are set up for comfort or intimacy if you prefer- it also offers food to go! “My newest favorite Indian place. After losing our all time favorite due to closure, we have been trying multiple different Indian restaurants. This place is tasty with a generous biryani portion size, larger than any of the other places we’ve been to, deserving of a good review! Humble but adequate interior- we’ve eaten in and gotten carry out and both were fine. Will be getting carry out here on a consistent basis unless something changes!”

“We absolutely loved our dinner at Liholiho Yacht Club — everything from the vibe to the flavors was on point. We started with a couple of appetizers that set the tone right away: bold, fresh, and packed with unique flavor combinations. The pork ribs were a total standout — perfectly tender with just the right balance of sweet and savory, and the fried rice that came with them was rich, flavorful, and satisfying on its own.
But the real star of the night was dessert — the Baked Hawaii. Not only was it beautifully presented, but it was also hands down one of the best desserts we’ve ever had. A creative twist on a classic, and the perfect ending to a fantastic meal.
Service was friendly and attentive, and the whole experience felt fun, vibrant, and effortlessly cool. We’ll absolutely be coming back next time we’re in SF! Highly recommend this spot — a true gem.”

“Very intimidated by the long line out side but they were very very efficient! The signature ramen was Devine! The egg perfect! The duck matcha was super fun but beware it might keep you up! We got edamame and the fried mushrooms too which came out in what felt like seconds. The mushrooms I will be thinking about for all time.”

It is one of the best dim sum I have eaten outside Hong Kong., Each item was freshly made, and tasted exactly like the ingredients that are. outlined. We loved the soft shell crab, the duck dumplings, outstanding, and the sticky rice in lotus leaf was beyond any one I have ever had, The restaurant is small but we had a reservation and it was honored in a timely fashion. It can be loud when it is full, we had a later time and it became quiter. The staff was kind and attentive. I can't see going anywhere else but HK Lounge.”

“I felt like we were back in a Michelin starred restaurant in Provence eating here. I loved sitting at the counter and watching the sou chefs prepare and dress the dishes. It was the first time since then that we got to enjoy Monkfish. A rare find! And cooked beautifully with a light curry sauce. We did the 4 course option and were stuffed after, it was a lot of food but well priced! The strawberry gelato desert with geranium foam was a memorable and perfect ending to the rich meal. The staff was attentive. We will definitely go back as they change their menu daily. Truly an unexpected gem to find on a random corner of the mission.”

The “punch special” is chaos in a glass (a mix of whatever’s going—but cheap and fun if you’re brave). Music was random, the pool table was lively, and people were even sending drinks to strangers, which gave the whole place a buzzy, friendly feel. It’s the perfect mix of dive bar energy with proper service and solid drinks. Not polished, not trying to be—just effortlessly cool. Definitely worth a visit, and I’d happily go back.”

“My friends and I have been wanting to come here for a while and we finally made it. Took advantage of their HH and got one of everything from that menu. Our favorite dish was the oysters and also the mussels which we kept ordering over and over. Deviled eggs and popcorn shrimp were okay, but the cod tacos were just ehh. One of the employees was super nice while others weren't as much. Overall it was okay and we may go back.”
“Wonderful restaurant with terrific food and service. We share the seasonal salad and the stuffed calamari to start. Both were excellent. My wife had a wonderful pasta stuffed with pea puree and in a pea sauce. I had a stuffed pasta with cheese. Both were exceptional. The olive oil cake finished the night. Fine wine list with many affordable offerings. We had a bottle of Arnie's and it was just right. The service is very attentive from the reception to the goodby.”

“Needed to pick up a quick dessert after enjoying the most amazing pizza a few doors down at Outta Sight. Gateway drew us in with their stacks of pink donut boxes--an immediate sign that this is a legit donut place. Our go-tos: blueberry and crunch which were immediately recognizable in the glass case. The lady behind register was very friendly and before we could assume it was cash only, she brought the POS out for us to tap and go. Gotta love it when a humble mom & pop keeps up w/tech. One excited bite out of each donut and we knew that Gateway would be our fav shop in the city. These donuts are AMAZING. They're fresh but more interestingly, they're sweet without being sickening (think opposite spectrum of a Krispy Kreme). I'm sure there's some kind of sorcery involved behind the recipe, but whatever they're doing is incredible. Even the small detail like the blueberry colored dough inside the donut is testament to their special touch. By the way, 2 donuts only cost us $3.75! What a deal.”

Super helpful staff and overall good people that you're sharing the space with. Would definitely recommend if you have a food business and need a licensed commercial kitchen. The staff are responsive and action-oriented which feels essential when working in a shared space.”

“The Morris , let me try to capture all the good things that are going on here. So we gave this place a try on a Thursday evening and it's certainly surprising how busy this little place is. The place is rather narrow and the ceiling is rather low. Congratulations to the decorator for making the place feel inviting and warm. I love the open kitchen at the entrance, it gives you a good glance at the various dishes and your nostrils will be on high alert absorbing the various smells.
The staff is super attentive friendly and has a fantastic memory as they remember which guest ordered which wine and brought the correct bottle for refill without having to ask.
The food. we really enjoyed the appetizers. The pork cracklings were yummy and rather light great for sharing and best with a cocktail.
For me the best dish was the brocolini with squid. The combo of the charred, the lime juice ...out of this world.
For the main we tried 1/2 of the smoked duck. Now let me tell you it's good but.. it's so rich in smoked flavor that after a few bites I was completely with the flavors and we had a hard time finishing the serving. My recommendation 1/2 a duck for 4 would be the right serving size otherwise your taste buds will go on strike

“Really sumptuous lobster roll. The butter flavoured brioche was loaded with a generous amount of fresh lobster meat. It was not overly seasoned which allowed the original lobster savouriness to shine through. The price doesn't come cheap but it's still worth it given the large portion and quality of the lobster. It was definitely the best lobster roll I have ever had.”

We were met with such incredible warmth from the staff and the environment itself, even without a reservation. We sat at the bar and were greeted by Josh, only to find out later that he is the owner. He made excellent recommendations on everything from our drinks to dessert. The bar didn’t feel isolated from the rest of the restaurant and guests, but rather was lively hub frequented by kitchen and serving staff and warmed by a smoldering wood fire. The coziest. We swooned for the poke appetizer, complete with house-made toasted, but not crisp, blue corn tortillas. The pork shoulder tacos—also to die for. I have to say though, that the star on the sidelines was the beans. I honestly didn’t know I could feel this way about beans…but I digress. Josh bounced around from table to table all night, never letting a single ball drop, making every guest feel like *his* guest. A pot de crème sealed the evening in perfect bliss. I’m back a month later with the same friend, eating different and somehow even more incredible entrees: ribeye, halibut and a rhubarb crisp for dessert. I scarcely ever take the time to write a review as I prefer to vote with my $ and my feet, but I simply couldn’t eat here again without taking the time to sing it’s praises. Eat here.”

Both were great, but I’m still thinking fondly about the strawberry blackberry scone - you could taste both berry flavors distinctly and they melded so nicely with the scone dough. Fine Dining
“썰 was an memorable experience. Every dish was beautifully executed. For a Korean American, the ingredients were an emotional process. While each dish focused on/showcased the high quality of ingredients, the flavors were a nuanced balance between Korean and Western cultures. Choosing quality over local at each crossroads, many evoked memories of my Korean childhood.
The lynchpin for this beautiful evening was when the chef unexpectedly spent time with us; shared a rare insight behind the scenes. At our table, few were from the East Coast or not Korean American, thus not realizing the backstory to arriving to this moment. I so appreciate the honesty as validated the constant struggle between balancing Korean/American expectations, especially in this time/place. To tie such a diverse audience, the chef executes well.”
“Tasting menu was tailored for the 4 vegetarians/pescatarians out of 5 in our group. Each item was very tasty and we enjoyed to the last bite. Servers were very professional and knew their stuff. Since we were there for our anniversary, we received a card from them which basically thanked us for making them part of our celebration. Classy touch!”
“I really never have enjoyed tasting menus….but Tiya’s tasting menu fully changed my opinion on them. 4/6 dishes were things I probably wouldn’t have ordered on a regular menu so getting to try these dishes was a treat. We supplemented the tasting menu with the chicken gushtaba and the shrimp. They were both so good but the gushtaba was outstanding….Think a chicken meatball in fondue.

“Anchovy Bar is a charming restaurant with a niche concept that feels refreshingly different. The anchovy toast is a definite must-try—surprisingly fresh and not fishy at all. While the bread was a bit thick for my taste, the sesame crust added great texture and paired well with the anchovies. Beautiful presentation, too.
The broiled oysters with roasted garlic–balsamic butter were also solid—rich, flavorful, and satisfying.
Unfortunately, the rest of the meal didn’t quite live up to those highlights. The biggest letdown was the Cantabrian anchovies. At first, they forgot the anchovies entirely. When we asked about it, they brought out small, sad-looking brown slices that resembled canned sardines more than premium anchovies. For a place called Anchovy Bar, we were hoping for something a bit more… memorable.
In the end, it seems like the anchovy toast might be the best thing they make—and honestly, it’s worth a visit just for that or only for that.”

There are multiple servers serving you, and everyone is very welcoming. The restaurant interior is modern and new and atmosphere is very cozy and comfortable. P.s. He collects the best ingredients from local farmer's markets, even using his background as a wine maker to create special ferments, and shares his family's Lebanese origins with so much care in each dish. “Really great neighborhood place with bagels and pizza. Super busy and popular so come early. Our server was friendly and attentive and we were able to get a gluten-free and vegan broccoli pizza to share. It was pretty delicious, saucy and spicy. We also had the kale salad which had delicious dressing but we all agreed that if the kale was massaged a bit it would be much tastier and easy to chew. All in all it was a very lovely night out.”

“I really never have enjoyed tasting menus….but Tiya’s tasting menu fully changed my opinion on them. 4/6 dishes were things I probably wouldn’t have ordered on a regular menu so getting to try these dishes was a treat. We supplemented the tasting menu with the chicken gushtaba and the shrimp. They were both so good but the gushtaba was outstanding….Think a chicken meatball in fondue.

“Ordered the roast chicken immediately on arrival - wait time was 57 minutes (vs. advertised 75 mins) - great dish, chicken is moist, salad tasty and moreish, pommes allumettes and aioli wonderful. “I felt like we were back in a Michelin starred restaurant in Provence eating here. I loved sitting at the counter and watching the sou chefs prepare and dress the dishes. It was the first time since then that we got to enjoy Monkfish. A rare find! And cooked beautifully with a light curry sauce. We did the 4 course option and were stuffed after, it was a lot of food but well priced! The strawberry gelato desert with geranium foam was a memorable and perfect ending to the rich meal. The staff was attentive. We will definitely go back as they change their menu daily. Truly an unexpected gem to find on a random corner of the mission.”

“This is a cute small restaurant. It seems to mostly be a pickup spot, but my friend and I were open to trying a different cuisine and decided to dine in. We did not regret the decision!
The food was absolutely delicious. I loved the BOB chunky, their signature dish with coconut rice. I haven't had butterfly pea tea in a while and enjoyed it. Keep in mind that this place doesn't serve alcohol. The customer service was good as well.
An area for improvement is having regular tables (without holes in them). The blue tea spilled into one of the holes and on my white pants.”

The food was good - but in a city like San Francisco with so many standout sushi spots, it didn’t quite rise to the top. I’ve had better sushi elsewhere in town, so it didn’t leave a lasting impression.
Service, on the other hand, was excellent. Friendly, attentive, and everything came out smoothly, no complaints there. The vibe was fine too: comfortable and low-key, but not particularly memorable or unique in a city full of more visually or atmospherically interesting places.
All in all, I enjoyed my meal and appreciated the hospitality, but it’s probably not a place I’d go back to. Solid, but not that special for a second visit (to me).”

It was not overly seasoned which allowed the original lobster savouriness to shine through. The price doesn't come cheap but it's still worth it given the large portion and quality of the lobster. While each dish focused on/showcased the high quality of ingredients, the flavors were a nuanced balance between Korean and Western cultures. Choosing quality over local at each crossroads, many evoked memories of my Korean childhood.
The lynchpin for this beautiful evening was when the chef unexpectedly spent time with us; shared a rare insight behind the scenes. At our table, few were from the East Coast or not Korean American, thus not realizing the backstory to arriving to this moment. I so appreciate the honesty as validated the constant struggle between balancing Korean/American expectations, especially in this time/place. To tie such a diverse audience, the chef executes well.”

“We were looking for something unique and in a neighborhood we don't spend a lot of time in, and were so happy to stumble across Taksim.
As soon as we walked in, the smells of deliciousness hit our noses. The staff were very welcoming and also brought over a carrot/ginger soup shot as a little welcome item which was a very nice touch. Throughout the meal the service was stellar.
The food itself was also very good. The flower bread is super soft, airy and the sumac butter just takes it to a whole new level. The dip trio was also a very good idea. You've had these dips before I'm sure, but Taksim's are even better.
The cocktails and wine list are also impressive with some winners along the way. The Black Salt Blaze and the Peachy Bazaar were both very good!

“Anchovy Bar is a charming restaurant with a niche concept that feels refreshingly different. The anchovy toast is a definite must-try—surprisingly fresh and not fishy at all. While the bread was a bit thick for my taste, the sesame crust added great texture and paired well with the anchovies. Beautiful presentation, too.
The broiled oysters with roasted garlic–balsamic butter were also solid—rich, flavorful, and satisfying.
Unfortunately, the rest of the meal didn’t quite live up to those highlights. The biggest letdown was the Cantabrian anchovies. At first, they forgot the anchovies entirely. When we asked about it, they brought out small, sad-looking brown slices that resembled canned sardines more than premium anchovies. For a place called Anchovy Bar, we were hoping for something a bit more… memorable.
In the end, it seems like the anchovy toast might be the best thing they make—and honestly, it’s worth a visit just for that or only for that.”

“One65 was an amazing discovery on our trip to San Francisco. Having spent the first half of our life in Montréal, Québec, Canada where it was hard to find a bad restaurant, we were absolutely amazed by this Bistro which looks more like a high end dining experience. The menu online & the photos attracted us to this location but we were amazed by the well timed service, the crisp white tablecloths, the table setting and the pleasant and calm atmosphere. My choices of charcuterie platter was perfectly sized; the chicken & the pork rillettes where a wonderful surprise. My husband had an onion tart with the crust as perfect as they get & which I envied. He loved his halibut, moist and tender and I raved over my grilled half lobster, so tender that I found myself munching on the shell parts as well. My bread pudding was not of overwhelming size & perfectly flavored. Don chose the Affogato (scoop of vanilla gelato « drowned » with a shot of hot espresso). We wanted to go back today but they are closed on Sundays.?”
“Lily and her family make a great team. Very friendly bar, with good service and generous measures of drinks at very reasonable prices. Luckily we were staying just down Post so it quickly became our go-to bar during our short stay in SF. Lovely chicken wings too. Thanks for a great time. And a lovely fluffy cat to boot !!”

“We ordered Hot Brownie Fudge Sundae which was utterly delicious. The Hot Cocoa classic was good as well. The place was packed, so we waited for them to clear a table for two. You place your buzzer in the middle of your table, and someone brings your order.
Be warned that the prices are really high - nearly $19 for one sundae! This is a major tourist trap, in California, and you are paying for, well, the experience.”

We all enjoyed the raw oysters and ceviche and the milk bread is a must order. Highly recommend Waterbar and looking forward to a return visit soon.”

“We absolutely loved our dinner at Liholiho Yacht Club — everything from the vibe to the flavors was on point. We started with a couple of appetizers that set the tone right away: bold, fresh, and packed with unique flavor combinations. The pork ribs were a total standout — perfectly tender with just the right balance of sweet and savory, and the fried rice that came with them was rich, flavorful, and satisfying on its own.
But the real star of the night was dessert — the Baked Hawaii. Not only was it beautifully presented, but it was also hands down one of the best desserts we’ve ever had. A creative twist on a classic, and the perfect ending to a fantastic meal.
