“Our visit to Stoke's Adobe last weekend produced the best meal I've had on The Peninsula in a decade! Restauranteur, Sarah Orr, has hit one out of the park. The dishes prepared by Executive Chef, Bryce Hansen, were flawless, my favorties being the seared scallops and truffle chicken. Loved the nod to former occupant and socialite, Hattie Gragg, with the inclusion of the Hattie's Old Fashioned on the cocktail menu :) Looking forward to our next visit and an opportunity to sample other items on their ever evolving menu.”

“I first visited this amazing local deli in 1989-1990. I remembered the half loaves of bread stacked high with a pile of my choice of meats and cheeses. Although I was only 18-19, Compagno’s established my standard for an amazing sandwich. 32 years later I brought my sons here for lunch. Same delicious goodness a generation later.”

“Went to check out the Packers game and was not disappointed.

Service was great and I had a solid burger. Sweet potato fries were super tasty!

Ranch was legit (ranch is very important to me 😆) as were the pickles.

We had some more of the game to watch so I opted to try their cheesecake. FIRE. I might go back just for the cheesecake! No joke.

“EXCELLENT beers, service, food truck food. Over 20 beers on tap, lengthy IPA list. Many different IBU & ABV values, tropical, bitter, fruity, strong, session, everything. Tasters, flights, and different size beers on tap as well as growler fills and many canned beers to go. Great near Fisherman’s Wharf by the waterfront and cheap parking. On-site Wedo’s Food truck has GREAT tacos; I had the chicken and also the fish (the BEST) and some chicken nachos = all very good. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!”

“This place was magical from the second we walked through the turquoise-colored door with its old fashioned door knob. We had no reservation & we were coming from Fieldwork brewing (so my hubby really needed to eat). They had no spots available (reservations are nearly necessary here on Fri. & Sat. they informed us later). However, they promptly set up backyard heater & provided blankets for our quickly provided outdoor seating. We ordered 2 shots of mezcal (cause we were outside & it was kinda cold), which the manager informed us they only served the best ;) They sent out it a waitperson who informed us “I’ll be taking care of you tonight.” Which turned out to be true from the service to dinner/dessert recommendations, and packing up our leftover beans to take home. Eventually, they moved us inside because of a cancelation. And I haven’t even started on the carefully crafted cocktails & food. So meticulously crafted, and presented. I rarely favor restaurant food over my own cooking ability, but I can confidently say their food is way better than my own lol. Again, everything was beautiful, perfect, & delicious! Also, I’m thinking the line for coffee & morning eats at their sister bakery Alta can attest to amazing, soon to be Monterey culinary fixture. Thank you for the memorable night & dinner Cella! “The Presidio of Monterey is one of the best military bases in the States. It has some of the most amazing views of the Monterey Bay and it’s just a wonderful well maintained active military base. I had several family members who worked on this base and I was able to spend a lot of time here. I also enjoyed seeing a section of the Berlin Wall and a cool Russian tank from WWll. I was also fortunate to have known some of the amazing former post commanders and command Sargent Majors. The Presidio is most definitely a very special place.”

“This Jack in the Box is an oasis in the food desert that is lower Munras avenue. Who has time for delicious meals cooked from scratch at way better eateries like The Wild Plum, Krua Thai or even The Great Wall? I know I don't. Just this week I grabbed two tacos for the wifey, a spicy Jack wrap for yours truly, hamburgers for the kids and a large curly fries for the whole family in less time than it took to write this review. I don't get high anymore but if I did I'd hit that l8 night stoner menu fo sho.”

“We were long- time Casa Rosita fans ( the former name) and were quite pleased with the new owners menu, service and hospitality. A very welcoming staff with authentic dishes ( especially seafood plates) at a reasonable price. The owner, Francisco , wants customers to come, feel like family, eat delicious seafood plates as well as traditional items. Which we did! I highly recommend eating here.”

“We have been going to Heirloom Pizza a few times a year for a while now and have always enjoyed great food and good service. This was until last night. The food was still delicious and the server was good. That was the limit of a good experience. The hostess had a look that we were bothering her by wanting to eat there. We arrived about 7pm and they were busy, but it only took about 10 minutes to be seated. We ordered fairly quickly and then waited for over 50 minutes to have an appetizer to reach our table and another 25 minutes for our main dish. By the time we received our appetizer the restaurant had only 5-6 tables with people still sitting. We understand that it takes a little longer for a deep dish pizza, but well over an hour in unacceptable. In the 50 minutes we saw no less than a dozen or so orders go out the door for pickup orders. I understand they sell pizza and there is likely a large amount of business that doesn't come an stay to eat, but we felt forgotten. If we choose to go back, maybe we should order before arriving.”

“This is a liquor/grocery store that sells food. Nothing special. They have a sitting area that is OK, old seats, but works.

The tacos were yummy and my boyfriend enjoyed his burrito. Decent affordable taco joint. I'll probably stop again when I need a cheap meal!

“Came here while on vacation with my husband for dinner and twice for breakfast. The service was fantastic as well as the food. Fidel was super friendly, kind, and brightened our vacation so much. He is very knowledgeable about the area and wanted to steer us in the right direction when visiting places. His service was outstanding and his team was awesome, too. Next time we vacation in Monterey we hope to see him again! The food, as I mentioned earlier, was fantastic. I got the cauliflower steak and was surprised how good it was. My husband got the award-winning clam chowder bread bowl and he said it was the best he’s ever had. Normally restaurants will load up their chowder with potatoes, but in his bowl, there were plenty of clams. We finished off the night with the chocolate cake and a scoop of ice cream to pair with the wine we brought. Amazing combination.

“This is a cool little restaurant. The outside patio area is very eclectic and has a lot of personal touches. The iced dirty chai was just sweet enough and really good. The mocha was heavy on the chocolate and delicious.
We got the egg, ham and spinach bagel sandwich. The spinach and ham were cooked fresh in the eggs and not just placed on top. There are many other bagel sandwich options as well as breakfast burritos and traditional breakfast.”

They were so right ... the food, the service, and the atmosphere were all top notch! Our server, Serena, was an absolutely delightful young lady and helped us order a selection of foods that were all amazing! The floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the water offered spectacular views. Next time we visit the area, there will definitely be a return trip to Lalla Grill!”
