“Few places are as accommodating as the staff here. The menu, although on available digitally, is extensive. Large selection of GF (gluten free) items. You can start with apps, choose from pizza or pasta as an entree. It is BYOB and that can make for a fun evening. They will accommodate to suit taste, we had someone that was sensitive to sodium, they adjusted sted the entree to suit. The place is small, the food tasty and seriously, the service is over the top.”

“The chili sauce is sweeter than I prefer; I'm more of a spicy person.
I did visit during a relatively quiet time, but my food took a long time to arrive. Since I don't drink alcohol, the wait was a little tedious and made me hungry.

“Had a lovely brunch here with friends. We ordered the cauliflower and bao buns to share which was really good! I ended up dipping my fries into the sauce. I liked the cauliflower better than the bao bun.

For our entree, we split the cheesesteak, lemon ricotta pancakes and the steak. My favorite was the cheesesteak. Overall the food was good and the staff were all attentive. Our server recommended and made a good mocktail for my friend which she really enjoyed. Martha’s is a great brunch spot in Hoboken.”

“Had a great experience at Toast x Bowl! I ordered the Sweet & Spicy Chicken Sandwich, and it was absolutely fire. The chicken was juicy, flavorful, and had the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. I also tried the Passion Fruit Pear Fizz, which was super refreshing and paired really well with the meal. We also shared the shrimp rice bowl and truffle fries, and both were just as delicious.

The restaurant was clean, cozy, and had a really nice atmosphere. The staff were friendly, and everything came out fresh and looked amazing. You can tell they care about the quality of the food.

Definitely one of my favorite spots in Hoboken now. I’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu. Highly recommend!”

I cannot recommend them enough! Service was impeccable from start to finish and pricing was competitive with downtown Hoboken.

The event coordinator, Avery was prompt and incredible helpful in getting all of the details right. Mike was attentive and delivered on every ask on the night of. Jessie was a gem behind the bar and was wonderful in the planning phases to help me nail down the drink package! Ryan showed incredible range with his DJing and kept the dancefloor lively all night.

Cocktail menu is fantastic as well!

“This is such a lovely place with a warm, friendly ambience. I brought my son here on Christmas Eve, and we had a lovely time. The chocolate martinis are amazing and the wine list is very good. We started with perfectly chilled and delicious oysters and then enjoyed aranciata with crab and a lovely lobster pasta dish. The vibe is inviting for families with young children as well and there is also a nice bar for adults only. This is a great place that I will return to soon !”

But if you’re someone who enjoys good service like me then this is not the place. after being sat down for 15 mins the server gave the menu. After reminding 3 times, we finally got water which was bottled and we were not told about I assumed they would bring tap water and on top of that they will randomly put 15% or 18% tip irrespective of party size. Waiting for menu for 15 mins and then waiting for water not sure what kind of service one is getting and to top it off getting the drinks ordered post meal! Again if you’re a foody then this a good place to try but not for the service.”

“I was in the area after a yoga session and decided to get a matcha afterwards. I usually go to Haraz, but wanted to try something new. I got the Levitea matcha and Jeffery was so helpful in explaining the different drinks on the menu and really attentive to the quality of my drink. Knocking off a star because this place is quite slow. It consistently takes 20-30 mins for pho to come out even when the store is empty. The employees look like they’re working hard the whole time, so I think management probably should try to figure out a way to speed things up operationally.

Also the “contact us” link on their website is broken (which is why I’m writing this review instead of emailing them).”

“A big shout out to my best latin place in Hoboken: Chango Kitchen. Traditional yummy latin dishes. Our faves are churrasco con chimichurri (skirt steakgrilled) and ropa vieja (shredded beef). My kids loved "alfajores with dulce de leche", "tres leches" and hot chocolate with when it's cold outside. Service is warm and friendly. “Was visiting Hoboken and looking for a good lunch spot close to Steven's University and came across Karma Kafe. Reviews were good and there were lots of people who took the time to rave so figured give it a shot. As always, reviews don't lie and ended up having a great lunch on a Sunday afternoon. We were able to walk in without a reservation on a Sunday afternoon without an issue and we were lucky. Pretty sure for future visits, would lock in a reservation to be on the safe side. Upon being seated, a serving of Papadum (Thin & crispy lentil flat bread) was served with tasty accompaniments was the perfect start as we scoured the menu. We started with The Veggie Sampler which was compromised of a Veggie samosa ( Stuffed crispy triangle pastry stufffed with potatoes and peas), Veggie Pakoras (Crisp veggies lightly battered in a chick pea flour and seasoning mix) and a Veggie Tikkis (Lightly breaded veggie cutlets seasoned with herbs and spices, served with mango chutney.) The serving size was decent and realized if we ate everything on the plate than we would be full and would have no room for the main course. The appatizers were delicious and a great way to prepare for lunch. Indian Food is usually always a hit for us due to the large vegertain options that are available to her as well as the non vegetarian options for me. Plenty of great choices to pick from making the decision difficult. I ordered Chicken Vindaloo (Chicken and potatoes in a spicy vindaloo sauce) When ordering, the waiter ensured I was ready for the heat from spice ranking it a 10 of 10. Will admit I love hot foods, and was apprehensive with his warnings but pushed forward. While the food was definitely spicey, not sure if I would rank as a 10 of 10 being some Indian dishes have been insanely hot. All in all, the meal was delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed it. My daughter ordered the Paneer Kashmiri (Cheese cubes and veggies in a mild saffron korma sauce) and was thoroughly satisfied. Both entrees were served with Basmati Rice and Dal. While not needed , we also order Garlic Nan which was incredibly delicious. The Nan was even better when dipped in the savory sauces that our meal came in. As you can imagine, there was so much food that we both took some home that made for another meal. Overall, we were both super satisfied and left stuffed. Definitely a great location that we plan to return to. The location was perfect and was a short walk from Stevens. The food quality was good, the service was great, and I found the value to be exceptional for its location.”

We stopped by The Living Room one evening before we headed out to Brooklyn for some exploration. Jose and Peter were such amazing bartenders, it was difficult for us to leave! Incredible drinks, great atmosphere and conversation. The drinks were easily some of the best drinks we have had. Jose and Peter are both magicians when it comes to mixology. “Otak Bakery is a Hoboken staple I’ve been hearing about for a while, and I finally got the chance to try it.
I really loved their pastries. I got the cheesy bread with ground beef, and it was absolutely delicious, warm, flavorful, and super satisfying. I also tried the ham and cheese croissant, which was flaky, buttery, and really well done 🥐✨
I had also heard a lot about their coffee menu, so I decided to try the mango sticky rice latte. Honestly, this one wasn’t for me. I couldn’t really taste the mango much, and it didn’t sit the best with me afterward, but that could just be personal preference or a one-off experience.
That said, I would still come back for the food alone. The pastries are definitely the highlight here, and I can see why this place gets so much love.
Overall, a really solid spot in Hoboken with great baked goods, and definitely worth adding to your list. ☕🥐”

Not only can you get teas and coffee blends that you won’t find at a typical shop, you can find wonderful Arabic pastries. The interior space is beautiful and suitable to get work done or spend time with the family or catch up with a friend over some delicious chai.”

Don’t come expecting an oversized chicken parm slopped with gravy and cheese. Come if you want to actually taste what the chefs were going for. I’ve been here twice in the last two weeks, and I’ve had the “fish and chips,” spicy-ish Caesar, spicy rigatoni, cavatelli, Mexican street corn, and s’mores. Nothing on that list disappoints.”

But that didn’t affect the quality of the food. The only thing I would have loved is replacing the plastic chairs and tables with wood or something more elevated and comfortable.
