“I went to Martha's during lunch with my colleagues. The interior is a nice vibe that fits anything from a lunch with coworkers to brunch with family. Our server did a great job of explaining the menu options. We ordered some apps and then ordered the steak frites. The steak was cooked to perfection. It also came with a nice salad, perfectly crispy French fries and we added on some very addicting garlic bread. This is definitely a spot I will be returning to!”
“Chef Andy served some of the freshest sushi that keeps me coming bak even 2 weeks. you no longe have to go to NYC to get great omakase. the boton ebi is the bomb!!!”

“Great food and atmosphere. Great French menu plus excellent cocktail drinks. Really top notch restaurant. One of my favorite places to eat in Hoboken.
Small area of improvement: It would be better if you did not turn off the lights to sing happy birthday. We went on a night where there were several birthday dinners, and it was a bit annoying for other guests to turn all the lights off.”

“Few places are as accommodating as the staff here. The menu, although on available digitally, is extensive. Large selection of GF (gluten free) items. You can start with apps, choose from pizza or pasta as an entree. It is BYOB and that can make for a fun evening. They will accommodate to suit taste, we had someone that was sensitive to sodium, they adjusted sted the entree to suit. The place is small, the food tasty and seriously, the service is over the top.”
“Now this is what you call Quality Pizza! Not my number one but it's damn close. Would like the slices just a tiny bit thicker. Tomato slices were phenomenal where the tomato sauce was but dry every where else. Still, with that crunchy crust and great flavor... Great job guys. I'll definitely be back to try a bigger variety of your slices. So far, my favorite pizza in Hoboken. But the search will continue.”
“I was craving some classic New York-style Halal Guys cart food for dinner on a weekday night, and a quick Google search led me to this gem in Hoboken. The reviews were glowing—and after trying it myself, I can say they were absolutely spot on.
There was already a small line (3–4 people) when I got there, which was a good sign. I went for the classic: meat over rice. The beef steak was thinly sliced, perfectly grilled, and packed with smoky, bold flavors. The yellow rice was aromatic and tasty, pairing beautifully with the meat. Another highlight was the freshness of the salad on the side—crisp lettuce, bell peppers, onions, tomatoes—all super fresh and refreshing. Overall, the portion size was huge. I couldn’t even finish it in one sitting.
Overall, this place checks all the boxes: affordable, fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. Definitely worth the stop if you’re in the area. Highly recommend!”

“Really nice blend of foam, sugar, and taro—meaning that none was overwhelming but refreshing in a way that’s rare for a flavor this intense. Love the pleasing colors and most importantly, the smooth as cream texture of the slushie drink. Would definitely recommend and I’m planning on getting the matcha flavor next time!”
“You can have a good time here if you accept the place for what it is.
A decent bar near a college.
The vibes have been frat bro and adults who still think they’re in frats each time I’ve been.
That being said, staffs always been nice and it does have a good social atmosphere where you can meet people / make new friends if you want.
Would recommend giving it a try and seeing if it’s for you.”

“So, no shade to anyone but….there’s Subway, and then there’s Vito’s. I had to stop eating at Subway sometime ago. The quality drastically reduced and it just didn’t hit the same for me. Last summer, a friend and I came across Vito’s. We were craving a good hero/cold cut and checked out some of the reviews and saw that they were good, so went inside. We ordered turkey heroes and they were EXCEPTIONAL. Now I know some may think that it isn’t hard to make or find a good turkey cold cut, but trust me, it IS, and I’ve had many bad turkey cold cuts. It’s quite disappointing. What really makes a bad turkey cold cut bad, is, well, the turkey lol. You can taste when it isn’t quality turkey, when it’s processed, etc. It just doesn’t taste the same. When tasting these turkey cold cuts from Vito’s, the bread was amazing, the turkey was amazing, it was fresh and filling! It was also good service. The staff took our sandwich orders and nailed them! I went back last week for another turkey cold cut and it was also more than exceptional. So simple, yet exceptional. Thank you for quality heroes, Vito’s. I need to go back to try some of their pastas and sauces because everything is simply made and authentic. I will absolutely be back. Also, they have a happy hour, everyone! I forget the pricing and details but it’s great! Go check’em out!”
“This is such a lovely place with a warm, friendly ambience. I brought my son here on Christmas Eve, and we had a lovely time. The chocolate martinis are amazing and the wine list is very good. We started with perfectly chilled and delicious oysters and then enjoyed aranciata with crab and a lovely lobster pasta dish. The vibe is inviting for families with young children as well and there is also a nice bar for adults only. This is a great place that I will return to soon !”
“A very nice place to check out if you’re into mediterranean cuisine! Excellent vegetarian options and delicious food. But if you’re someone who enjoys good service like me then this is not the place. after being sat down for 15 mins the server gave the menu. After reminding 3 times, we finally got water which was bottled and we were not told about I assumed they would bring tap water and on top of that they will randomly put 15% or 18% tip irrespective of party size. Waiting for menu for 15 mins and then waiting for water not sure what kind of service one is getting and to top it off getting the drinks ordered post meal! Again if you’re a foody then this a good place to try but not for the service.”
“**Restaurant Review: Metropolis, Hoboken**
Metropolis in Hoboken is a fantastic bar and restaurant that effortlessly combines great cocktails, delicious food, and a prime location near the train station.
The cocktail menu is a standout, featuring creative and expertly crafted drinks that cater to a variety of tastes. Each sip was refreshing, and the bartenders clearly know their craft.
The food exceeded our expectations, with a diverse menu that offered something for everyone. Dishes were flavorful and beautifully presented, making for a satisfying dining experience.
Located conveniently near the train, Metropolis is perfect for a quick stop after work or a weekend outing. The vibrant atmosphere and attentive staff enhance the overall experience. Whether you’re in for cocktails or a full meal, Metropolis is a must-visit spot in Hoboken!”
“The most amazing place and food and the owners are the sweetest people ever. We have gone to eat there and also caterer our grad party food was absolutely amazing. People are raving about it. The homemade burrata no words to explain the mouth watering deliciousness.”
“Took my husband here for his 64th birthday dinner on a recommendation and was not disappointed! This gem checked all the boxes in my book! We will definitely be coming back!! Thanks to the great bartender and the owners who went out of there way to make sure everything a that Carlos had an amazing experience!”
“If your a lover of coffee and fresh premium quality food, Bluestone Lane has something special waiting for you. Next time your in Hoboken do yourself a favor and stop in for breakfast or brunch. You’ll be sure to find the right choice of specialty coffee and food options that suit your pallet.”
“Recently dined here again. Food was excellent! Decided to try a lamb dish and loved it. This is one of my Hoboken favorites. Live music, friendly staff, good wine selection.”

“A local favorite for me! Food is always fresh, healthy, and delicious! Friendly and hard-working staff. I really enjoy the PB&J along with any of the smoothies. The specials are always refreshing to try too. Plenty of seating or you can grab and go. Definitely a 10/10 recommend!”

“Hands down better than almost all NYC yakitori. 💯
Recommendations:
- Chicken Oyster 😳
- Chicken Wings 😩
General Comments:
- Although it takes a while, it's clear that the time is used to deliver quality. 😌
- Perfectly cooked skewers with smokey flavor. 🔥
- I was afraid the chicken might be raw because the skewers are thick, but no, they were thoroughly cooked AND juicy.
- The mushroom and chicken thigh skewers were also great but the other two I recommended were even better.”
“This spot is my go-to when I have a headache and need a strong ahh coffee to pick me up. Their beans are from intelligentsia which I think might be my fav of all time. Iced oat vanilla latte. THE BEST! Of course their wraps are great too and super convenient when you need a quick lunch. I get the Beyond Far East Wrap (love when a vegan option needs no modifications). Aside from that, I do wish they had a V bakery item.. and that their buffalo cauliflower was dairy-free because it's so good! LUV ALFALFA <3”
“I live in Florida, but I wanted to send Halloween-themed baked goods for my sons and daughter-in-law in Jersey City. Baking Mama delivered delicious cookies, cupcakes, and brownies on time right to their door. My kids said they were delicious and they looked great in the photos they sent. Two thumbs up!”
“I don't normally feel compelled to leave a review but I have to give this place props for being so dependable when it comes to the ideal coffee shop experience. I've been to every cafe in Hoboken and Jersey City. Tasted it all. Because I LOVE coffee. And a lot of them are really good. But I will always come back to Joey No Nuts for my favorite cup. The espresso drinks are consistently perfect. Whether it's a cortado, iced espresso (my fav) or regular brew... the balance is spot on every single time—smooth af, never bitter. (For a former barista like me, this is everything.) Kind of place where regulars are greeted by name, and newcomers feel like they’ve just found their spot. Because they're good people who want what we want, the perfect cup of Joe with a peaceful vibe. And if you're a music fan, forget it, you'll come back just to hear their collection of LPs. Worth the walk for this neighborhood staple.”
“Totally a hidden Korean spot for their street food and mochi donuts! Limited seats so they majorly do delivery.
(The owner said they r famous for their Korean-style fried chicken, definitely visit again for that.)
?❤️??Donut was so chewy, soft, and flavored! I love my injeolmin flavor which was powdered soybean. Gentle taste, not too sweet. Highly recommended✨
❤️✨Original corn dog was totally delicious too. I got half mozzarella half hot dog to try both, the outside bread was chewy, crispy, melted with cheese part. Thus I preferred mozzarella part? crazy good.”

“My favorite place in Hoboken! The owner is one of the kindest people I have ever met, and every delicious dish is made with love. Great coffee, omelettes and breakfast sandwiches! Cozy ambiance, good music and cool local artwork on the walls. Definitely give this place a try!”
“I could've sworn I had reviewed Kikilu before. I went on opening day a couple of years ago and we've been going back periodically ever since. The buildup to opening was huge since we're super-regulars at Otto Strada.
The flavors are all great and rotate pretty often so there's always something new to try. The atmosphere is sleek but also fits right into the neighborhood. Are the prices high? Sure, but you just eat it slowly with that little spoon and savor every bit.”
“Giving a 4 star for the food as it was very good. Pizza was excellent and the two pasta dishes were good. Portions were smaller than expected for the price. Service was friendly but our server was preoccupied and needed to be reminded about the drink. The pizza was the highlight of the meal.”
“Could not believe there is a small town bar in the middle of Hoboken. Loved everything about it, from the bartender Daniel, who was not only professional, but friendly and fun to chat with, to the juke box you can play your music.
I loved that it was very quiet in the middle of the week, and you could interact comfortably with other peole”
“This is my boyfriend and I favorite place to have drinks and appetizers. Their martinis are decent, could use a little more olive juice every time but it's good enough. Their appetizers and raw bar are delicious, we love their Blue point oysters and the tuna tartar is to die for. I love the vibes or the bar, this place makes me zen. What else could you ask for.”
“What I love most about Union Hall is the brunch. The huge Sangria and mimosa’s with a choice of four small plates. More the enough food., and the atmosphere and view is beautiful. I’ve tell everyone about this place:)”

“I live in Washington @ 11th. My two locals were Ted & Joe’s and Maxwell’s. Both gone. Lately been too busy to find a new local but Finnegan’s would be in the running. The premier establishment in Hoboken to experience local bands in a great space. As a performer it is great!!!!!!”

“Mutz is a soft, mild cheese. You'd be forgiven for thinking that it would struggle to stand up to roast beef, roast turkey, hot peppers, sweet peppers, and the soft loaf encasing them all in a piled-high deli sandwich.
This mutz shines through. The stories about this place? The Biancamano lore? All true. This old-school deli shows why they're an institution.”
“Stumbled upon this coffee shop last year when they just opened and a year later, we're still going. Hoboken has so many coffee shops but this has to be my favorite one. The drinks are always on point, the baked goods are just so delicious and tastes so fresh! Finding Filipino snacks in Hoboken is a gem. Best part about Hey Coffee People is how friendly the staff is, so nice and always so cheerful. I wish I lived in Hoboken, I would come here everyday and get my favorite cinnamon buns”
“Love Schmitty’s overall - great spot, awesome staff, good vibes. Specifically wanted to pass along my amazing experience having a party there ….
We hosted my dad’s birthday at Schmitty’s and it was perfect. We rented out the indoor and outdoor space privately for a few hours, which gave us plenty of room to celebrate with family and friends in a relaxed, fun setting.
The staff at Schmitty’s were incredible—friendly, professional, and truly went above and beyond to help make the event special. They even recommended a fantastic musician for live music, who we ended up hiring, and it brought such a great energy to the night.
Everything came together beautifully, and it was a memorable evening for our whole family. Huge thanks to the Schmitty’s team—we couldn’t have asked for a better experience!”
“Went for Sunday brunch. Was told we could have a table, but there was a party coming in an hour so..,
The waitress was fine, but took her a while to circle back to us to check us out and given we were on a time frame, thought she would have been on top of that.
The food was good. Split an eggs Benedict. The hollandaise sauce was really good.
I realize this location turns into a club at night, but the music was quite loud for a brunch crowd. It doesn't have to be a club feel all of the time.”
“Shoutout to Marcela! I am a former 25+ year Hoboken resident and I’m not in town as often, but it happened to be cheat day, I was in the area, and made my way to Sweet. I got there at closing time, and saw Marcela lock the doors. I saw her come out the side door and I asked from my car if she’d be willing to take one more customer. Marcela did not hesitate, she told me to come back around, she’ll take care of me and she did. I went from bummed out to cheesing with joy. Thanks Marcela!”
“Great addition to the 5th Ward! Excellent service. Love the Chai Latte, the homemade marshmallows that top drinks for kids and adults are special, great gifts for babies and and a welcoming bright space in the location formerly occupied by Truglio’s. You have to check it out. Congratulations to Kristin and Catherine — the owners of this business — for creating a great community space that has already added so much to our neighborhood.”
“Food was delicious and the staff were kind and attentive. What else could you want? We love coming here.”

“Pie was delicious, service was exceptional, interior was beautiful, owner was awesome…AND it’s BYOB (with a liquor store no minutes away). Love Love Loved it.”

“The service of the turning point has fell off quite a bit from what I am use to from this amazing breakfast spot Not once the the server come to refresh or ask if we needed a refill and also had to be reminded where's our coffee and they weren't as busy as they usually are Brenda we need you back”

“Was visiting Hoboken and looking for a good lunch spot close to Steven's University and came across Karma Kafe. Reviews were good and there were lots of people who took the time to rave so figured give it a shot. As always, reviews don't lie and ended up having a great lunch on a Sunday afternoon. We were able to walk in without a reservation on a Sunday afternoon without an issue and we were lucky. Pretty sure for future visits, would lock in a reservation to be on the safe side. Upon being seated, a serving of Papadum (Thin & crispy lentil flat bread) was served with tasty accompaniments was the perfect start as we scoured the menu. We started with The Veggie Sampler which was compromised of a Veggie samosa ( Stuffed crispy triangle pastry stufffed with potatoes and peas), Veggie Pakoras (Crisp veggies lightly battered in a chick pea flour and seasoning mix) and a Veggie Tikkis (Lightly breaded veggie cutlets seasoned with herbs and spices, served with mango chutney.) The serving size was decent and realized if we ate everything on the plate than we would be full and would have no room for the main course. The appatizers were delicious and a great way to prepare for lunch. Indian Food is usually always a hit for us due to the large vegertain options that are available to her as well as the non vegetarian options for me. Plenty of great choices to pick from making the decision difficult. I ordered Chicken Vindaloo (Chicken and potatoes in a spicy vindaloo sauce) When ordering, the waiter ensured I was ready for the heat from spice ranking it a 10 of 10. Will admit I love hot foods, and was apprehensive with his warnings but pushed forward. While the food was definitely spicey, not sure if I would rank as a 10 of 10 being some Indian dishes have been insanely hot. All in all, the meal was delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed it. My daughter ordered the Paneer Kashmiri (Cheese cubes and veggies in a mild saffron korma sauce) and was thoroughly satisfied. Both entrees were served with Basmati Rice and Dal. While not needed , we also order Garlic Nan which was incredibly delicious. The Nan was even better when dipped in the savory sauces that our meal came in. As you can imagine, there was so much food that we both took some home that made for another meal. Overall, we were both super satisfied and left stuffed. Definitely a great location that we plan to return to. The location was perfect and was a short walk from Stevens. The food quality was good, the service was great, and I found the value to be exceptional for its location.”
“The best food ever! Mamoun’s in Hoboken never disappoints! Their falafel is perfectly crispy, the shawarma is packed with flavor, and the hummus is always fresh and creamy. The portions are HUGE, the prices are great, and the service is fast and friendly. Whether it’s a quick bite or a late-night snack, this spot is a must-visit!”
“Heard good things about this place and my first visit did not disappoint. The vibe was fun and trendy, and the food and drinks were good. I’ve never had a frozen Aperol spritz until I came to this place, and it was delicious. Will absolutely come back!”
