“The ranch dressing with the bbq Pollo is absolutely incredible”

“This is my second time to Dear Maud when visiting Hoboken. Both times I would say the dining room is very loud. The walls are made of brick, I believe and so nothing insulates the sound. The service in the bar was quick, but slightly impersonal. No one was unfriendly which is good, but it was about turnover. The happy hour menu is generous. I would definitely order the $7 pizza every time. The Manhattan I ordered off- menu was delicious. The lychee martini was on the sweeter side, but it was good. The short rib fried rice was delicious but I was not a fan of the sweet teriyaki sauce drizzled on top. Beware of the red peppers on top because those are spicy. The steak tips were really good and tender. I would go here next time only if I don’t want to walk very far from where I’m staying and if I want some decent drinks. It’s pretty hard to hold a conversation in this restaurant unless you’re speaking louder than you normally would. Great location though.”

“Few places are as accommodating as the staff here. The menu, although on available digitally, is extensive. Large selection of GF (gluten free) items. You can start with apps, choose from pizza or pasta as an entree. It is BYOB and that can make for a fun evening. They will accommodate to suit taste, we had someone that was sensitive to sodium, they adjusted sted the entree to suit. The place is small, the food tasty and seriously, the service is over the top.”

“After a day of sightseeing in NYC, we decided to check out Hoboken for a quick bite. Found this place that looked pretty cheery inside. We ordered two chef bowls, bulgogi and the beef bowl. The beef was juicy, but a bit overcooked for my taste, but the rest of the bowl was very tasty! The Bulgogi bowl was outstanding! Meat was flavorful, but not overpowering like what bulgogi usually tends to be. Staff was very kind and inviting!”

“This is such a lovely place with a warm, friendly ambience. I brought my son here on Christmas Eve, and we had a lovely time. The chocolate martinis are amazing and the wine list is very good. We started with perfectly chilled and delicious oysters and then enjoyed aranciata with crab and a lovely lobster pasta dish. Somehow, he always gets the balance just right — the tea flavor, sweetness, milk, and toppings all come together in the perfect ratio. “I was really craving pho and after some Yelp/Google Review searching, I found Pho Express. I like that they have a build your own pho option, since my favorite meats aren't usually in the same dish. I got the beef brisket, beef tendon, and beef balls. Absolute, hands down, my favorite three meats.

The pho arrived still hot via Doordash and honestly it really hit the spot. They give you so much broth too, I had enough for noods again the next day.”

“Such a cute coffee shop in Hoboken! ☕ I always walk past Hey Coffee People, but this was my first time stopping in, and I’m so glad I finally did. It’s a smaller space, but they still have a good amount of seating and a cozy atmosphere.

I tried the iced oat milk latte, iced strawberry matcha latte, and ube cinnamon bun. The strawberry matcha was delicious and perfectly balanced—not overly sweet, with a strong matcha flavor and just the right amount of strawberry. 🍓🍵 The ube cinnamon bun was another highlight! It was incredibly moist on the inside, and the ube and cinnamon made for such a fun combination of flavors. 💜

They initially forgot about our cinnamon bun, but once we followed up, they brought it out pretty quickly. Overall, this is a great little Hoboken coffee spot for creative drinks and a sweet treat. I’d definitely stop in again!”

But if you’re someone who enjoys good service like me then this is not the place. after being sat down for 15 mins the server gave the menu. After reminding 3 times, we finally got water which was bottled and we were not told about I assumed they would bring tap water and on top of that they will randomly put 15% or 18% tip irrespective of party size. Waiting for menu for 15 mins and then waiting for water not sure what kind of service one is getting and to top it off getting the drinks ordered post meal! Again if you’re a foody then this a good place to try but not for the service.”

“A big shout out to my best latin place in Hoboken: Chango Kitchen. Traditional yummy latin dishes. Our faves are churrasco con chimichurri (skirt steakgrilled) and ropa vieja (shredded beef). My kids loved "alfajores with dulce de leche", "tres leches" and hot chocolate with when it's cold outside. Service is warm and friendly. We can visit the place multiple times and never get tired. #supportlocal”

“I had the MANAMAN dish at Cafe Vista, and it was absolutely delicious! The flavors were amazing, the ingredients tasted fresh, and the portion size was perfect. The food was prepared beautifully and exceeded my expectations.

“I was just at Carls bakery in Granite Falls Minnesota and they said your connected to them and he is your long lost relative and you guys use to bake together as kids. He said you gave him permission to use your likeness. If this is true I'm disgusted. Honestly Carl's or Carlos whatever you decide to brand yourselves as is disgusting. I use to love cake boss, but that will be a ****stained thought now knowing this is his brand, or at least "family" using his brand.”

“Was visiting Hoboken and looking for a good lunch spot close to Steven's University and came across Karma Kafe. Reviews were good and there were lots of people who took the time to rave so figured give it a shot. As always, reviews don't lie and ended up having a great lunch on a Sunday afternoon. We were able to walk in without a reservation on a Sunday afternoon without an issue and we were lucky. Pretty sure for future visits, would lock in a reservation to be on the safe side. Upon being seated, a serving of Papadum (Thin & crispy lentil flat bread) was served with tasty accompaniments was the perfect start as we scoured the menu. We started with The Veggie Sampler which was compromised of a Veggie samosa ( Stuffed crispy triangle pastry stufffed with potatoes and peas), Veggie Pakoras (Crisp veggies lightly battered in a chick pea flour and seasoning mix) and a Veggie Tikkis (Lightly breaded veggie cutlets seasoned with herbs and spices, served with mango chutney.) The serving size was decent and realized if we ate everything on the plate than we would be full and would have no room for the main course. The appatizers were delicious and a great way to prepare for lunch. Indian Food is usually always a hit for us due to the large vegertain options that are available to her as well as the non vegetarian options for me. Plenty of great choices to pick from making the decision difficult. I ordered Chicken Vindaloo (Chicken and potatoes in a spicy vindaloo sauce) When ordering, the waiter ensured I was ready for the heat from spice ranking it a 10 of 10. Will admit I love hot foods, and was apprehensive with his warnings but pushed forward. While the food was definitely spicey, not sure if I would rank as a 10 of 10 being some Indian dishes have been insanely hot. All in all, the meal was delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed it. My daughter ordered the Paneer Kashmiri (Cheese cubes and veggies in a mild saffron korma sauce) and was thoroughly satisfied. Both entrees were served with Basmati Rice and Dal. While not needed , we also order Garlic Nan which was incredibly delicious. The Nan was even better when dipped in the savory sauces that our meal came in. As you can imagine, there was so much food that we both took some home that made for another meal. Overall, we were both super satisfied and left stuffed. Definitely a great location that we plan to return to. The location was perfect and was a short walk from Stevens. The food quality was good, the service was great, and I found the value to be exceptional for its location.”

“🍕 I’ve been to 10th Street Pizza multiple times, and I think this was my favorite pie I’ve gotten here so far! We did half with their more classic grated cheese and half with sausage and peppers, and it was delicious. The crust, toppings, and cheese all came together so well. 🤌

We had three people sharing one pie, and it was more than enough since their pizzas are pretty big. We went on a rainy Friday night and were able to get a table within about 20–30 minutes, but I’d definitely keep in mind that there can be a wait on weekends.

Another huge plus is that it’s BYOB 🍷, so we brought our own drinks, which made dinner even more fun and affordable.

One thing that has been consistent every time I’ve visited is that it is LOUD inside. 😂 I don’t know if it’s the acoustics or the layout, but conversations can definitely get a little difficult when it’s busy. They do have some outdoor seating as well if you’d rather sit outside.

Overall, another great meal at 10th Street Pizza! 🍕 Great portions, delicious pizza, and I love the BYOB option. I’ll definitely be back!”

“Around the Jersey City and Hoboken area, this is one of the few places I would go to eat or even get a burger. Why spend $15 or $22 for food you can make yourself that better and cheaper, but they are consistently great, especially with quality draft beer selection.
I usually ALWAYS get the bacon jam delight burger. However, 50% mondays where most of the menu, including burgers and some beers. My usual combo on Mondays is the bacon jam delight burgers, sausage combo for a polish kielbasa and knockwurst sausage with a Warsteiner Dunkel (dark lager), right after the gym. Great service as well btw”

“Koocheh is a quaint coffee shop nestled in the northern frontier of the historic Hoboken just a block away from the bustling Washington street. It’s run by a friendly and amiable couple who have endeared themselves to the locals by their tastefully flavored coffees. The cold brews are particularly strong and refreshing. The pastries though in limited quantities are freshly delivered from the famed Balthazar bakery early morning. There is no shortage of options for a cup of Joe in Hoboken, but Koocheh is worth your while to walk a few extra blocks for a flavorful caffeine fix and a neighborly chat with the owners.”

Not only can you get teas and coffee blends that you won’t find at a typical shop, you can find wonderful Arabic pastries. The interior space is beautiful and suitable to get work done or spend time with the family or catch up with a friend over some delicious chai.”

It’s a perfect spot for date night, with pastas that absolutely won’t disappoint. I especially loved the spicy Caesar salad, hamachi crudo, and cavatelli with lamb.
