You can start with apps, choose from pizza or pasta as an entree. It is BYOB and that can make for a fun evening. They will accommodate to suit taste, we had someone that was sensitive to sodium, they adjusted sted the entree to suit. The place is small, the food tasty and seriously, the service is over the top.”

“After a day of sightseeing in NYC, we decided to check out Hoboken for a quick bite. Found this place that looked pretty cheery inside. We ordered two chef bowls, bulgogi and the beef bowl. The beef was juicy, but a bit overcooked for my taste, but the rest of the bowl was very tasty! The Bulgogi bowl was outstanding! Meat was flavorful, but not overpowering like what bulgogi usually tends to be. Staff was very kind and inviting!”

“This is such a lovely place with a warm, friendly ambience. I brought my son here on Christmas Eve, and we had a lovely time. The chocolate martinis are amazing and the wine list is very good. We started with perfectly chilled and delicious oysters and then enjoyed aranciata with crab and a lovely lobster pasta dish. The vibe is inviting for families with young children as well and there is also a nice bar for adults only. This is a great place that I will return to soon !”

However, they were very patient with us and told us what the special sandwiches of the day were. We got that day's special which was roastbeef. It was quite delicious. I got the beef brisket, beef tendon, and beef balls. Absolute, hands down, my favorite three meats.

The pho arrived still hot via Doordash and honestly it really hit the spot. They give you so much broth too, I had enough for noods again the next day.”

“Such a cute coffee shop in Hoboken! ☕ I always walk past Hey Coffee People, but this was my first time stopping in, and I’m so glad I finally did. It’s a smaller space, but they still have a good amount of seating and a cozy atmosphere.

I tried the iced oat milk latte, iced strawberry matcha latte, and ube cinnamon bun. The strawberry matcha was delicious and perfectly balanced—not overly sweet, with a strong matcha flavor and just the right amount of strawberry. 🍓🍵 The ube cinnamon bun was another highlight! It was incredibly moist on the inside, and the ube and cinnamon made for such a fun combination of flavors. 💜

They initially forgot about our cinnamon bun, but once we followed up, they brought it out pretty quickly. Overall, this is a great little Hoboken coffee spot for creative drinks and a sweet treat. I’d definitely stop in again!”

After reminding 3 times, we finally got water which was bottled and we were not told about I assumed they would bring tap water and on top of that they will randomly put 15% or 18% tip irrespective of party size. Waiting for menu for 15 mins and then waiting for water not sure what kind of service one is getting and to top it off getting the drinks ordered post meal! Again if you’re a foody then this a good place to try but not for the service.”

“A big shout out to my best latin place in Hoboken: Chango Kitchen. Traditional yummy latin dishes. Our faves are churrasco con chimichurri (skirt steakgrilled) and ropa vieja (shredded beef). My kids loved "alfajores with dulce de leche", "tres leches" and hot chocolate with when it's cold outside. Service is warm and friendly. “Was visiting Hoboken and looking for a good lunch spot close to Steven's University and came across Karma Kafe. Reviews were good and there were lots of people who took the time to rave so figured give it a shot. As always, reviews don't lie and ended up having a great lunch on a Sunday afternoon. We were able to walk in without a reservation on a Sunday afternoon without an issue and we were lucky. Pretty sure for future visits, would lock in a reservation to be on the safe side. Upon being seated, a serving of Papadum (Thin & crispy lentil flat bread) was served with tasty accompaniments was the perfect start as we scoured the menu. We started with The Veggie Sampler which was compromised of a Veggie samosa ( Stuffed crispy triangle pastry stufffed with potatoes and peas), Veggie Pakoras (Crisp veggies lightly battered in a chick pea flour and seasoning mix) and a Veggie Tikkis (Lightly breaded veggie cutlets seasoned with herbs and spices, served with mango chutney.) The serving size was decent and realized if we ate everything on the plate than we would be full and would have no room for the main course. The appatizers were delicious and a great way to prepare for lunch. Indian Food is usually always a hit for us due to the large vegertain options that are available to her as well as the non vegetarian options for me. Plenty of great choices to pick from making the decision difficult. I ordered Chicken Vindaloo (Chicken and potatoes in a spicy vindaloo sauce) When ordering, the waiter ensured I was ready for the heat from spice ranking it a 10 of 10. Will admit I love hot foods, and was apprehensive with his warnings but pushed forward. While the food was definitely spicey, not sure if I would rank as a 10 of 10 being some Indian dishes have been insanely hot. All in all, the meal was delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed it. My daughter ordered the Paneer Kashmiri (Cheese cubes and veggies in a mild saffron korma sauce) and was thoroughly satisfied. Both entrees were served with Basmati Rice and Dal. While not needed , we also order Garlic Nan which was incredibly delicious. The Nan was even better when dipped in the savory sauces that our meal came in. As you can imagine, there was so much food that we both took some home that made for another meal. Overall, we were both super satisfied and left stuffed. Definitely a great location that we plan to return to. The location was perfect and was a short walk from Stevens. The food quality was good, the service was great, and I found the value to be exceptional for its location.”

“Otak Bakery is a Hoboken staple I’ve been hearing about for a while, and I finally got the chance to try it.
I really loved their pastries. I got the cheesy bread with ground beef, and it was absolutely delicious, warm, flavorful, and super satisfying. I also tried the ham and cheese croissant, which was flaky, buttery, and really well done 🥐✨
I had also heard a lot about their coffee menu, so I decided to try the mango sticky rice latte. Honestly, this one wasn’t for me. I couldn’t really taste the mango much, and it didn’t sit the best with me afterward, but that could just be personal preference or a one-off experience.
That said, I would still come back for the food alone. The pastries are definitely the highlight here, and I can see why this place gets so much love.
Overall, a really solid spot in Hoboken with great baked goods, and definitely worth adding to your list. ☕🥐”

Not only can you get teas and coffee blends that you won’t find at a typical shop, you can find wonderful Arabic pastries. The interior space is beautiful and suitable to get work done or spend time with the family or catch up with a friend over some delicious chai.”

Don’t come expecting an oversized chicken parm slopped with gravy and cheese. Come if you want to actually taste what the chefs were going for. I’ve been here twice in the last two weeks, and I’ve had the “fish and chips,” spicy-ish Caesar, spicy rigatoni, cavatelli, Mexican street corn, and s’mores. Nothing on that list disappoints.”

“I visited this coffee shop and bakery twice. I tried the strawberry matcha and the coconut matcha cloud which was absolutely delicious. You have to mix the coconut water with the matcha cloud. The place is clean, I love the central shelves with the pastries that make you want to try them all. The service is good but I felt that they were new and sometimes overwhelmed. But that didn’t affect the quality of the food. The only thing I would have loved is replacing the plastic chairs and tables with wood or something more elevated and comfortable. But overall I definitely recommend this place for the quality of their drinks.”
