“My first time there wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Upon going in they had a nice little crowd, the staff was nice and helpful. So my box of 4 cookies $19 was brownie batter, not bad, could use some nuts walnuts, or pecans, . My favorite cookie chocolate chip also could use some nuts walnuts or pecans and cooked a little longer. Next was funnel cake. Kind of like that one crunchy, not sure if it really tasted like funnel cake, but I liked it. Then cake batter thins not too bad either.”

“I have been coming to this establishment for a couple years now. It’s one of our faves and we find ourselves here quite a bit. It’s family owned and the meat is halal/zabiha. It’s located in Downey and the space inside has a decent amount of seating. They cater as well and I am pleased to say their catering food is as good as eating it inside the restaurant.

My fave items are :
⭐ Chapli beef kabob- it comes with rice or bread
⭐ Mantu (meat filled dumplings) with lentils on top
⭐ Potato Bolani- potato filled paratha (bread)
⭐ Qabuli Pulao- rice with lamb shank
⭐ borani banjan- egg plant dip

“Great ambiance and amazing food. I had a lot of food… falafel, spicy hummus, kafta kabob, tzatziki loaded with veggies, cheese balls, and baklava. All so delicious and fresh. I even loved the fresh pita and dipping sauce that was complimentary. From the manager and many servers, everyone was pleasant and friendly throughout my time there. I went during happy hour so the specials were great during that time. I’m definitely returning to this Mediterranean restaurant for sure. I loved it.”

“I've been going to Pieloon for a few years now and it is THE BEST restaurant in Downey! The food is always fabulous, the portions are large, the service is perfect! I've had appetizers, salads, pastas, steaks, burgers, sandwiches (I'm addicted to the BLT) and many of their specials. My family and I go now 2x a week and have trouble deciding what to get because it's all so good! And the pies...their pumpkin pie is the best I've ever had and the blueberry cheesecake is fabulous...but just wait until fresh peach pie season...I'll gain weight just thinking about it...the fresh peach is the best pie I've ever, EVER had! I love this place and the people who work there!! They're like family now!”

The food is consistently amazing rich in flavor, homemade, and prepared with genuine care and tradition. Despite what may appear online, the restaurant is NOT permanently closed, they are OPEN and actively serving customers. Please don’t let that misinformation stop you from visiting. Every dish I’ve tried has been excellent, but the tamales are truly unforgettable, hands down some of the best I’ve ever had. This place is a true hidden gem that deserves recognition and continued support.”

Tl;dr: ice cream taste 5/5 service 5/5

While the ice cream was delicious we had a major service issue during our visit. We asked for 2 small cones different flavors but were given 2 cones with the 2 flavors mixed in the each cone. When we were given the first cone with tried to clarify that the flavors were supposed to be separate but the second cone came out the same as the first. Our next issue was that we asked for a large bowl but were given a small cone for the 3rd ice cream; we weren't given a receipt to see if we were charged for a large bowl or a small cone. Last issue was we ordered ice cream sandwiches to take home & instead of being told we could select what flavor we wanted we were given a random assortment of flavors. As a side note the ice cream sandwiches are smaller than you would think.”

“My husband and I went there tonight, for Valentine's Day. We had the Steak/Salmon special. This ribeye was the BEST steak I've had in my life. So tender and so tasty!!! The salmon was wonderful, so delicious! I totally recommend their food. Yes, their prices are high, but you're getting the best food possible. “The atmosphere was astonishing I was mesmerized as I tried to catch ever beautifully decorated chandelier and pieces of art Mosaic, especially the ginormous faux melting candle. Just as you catch from the side of your eyes it a cart wheeling private bar tender inquiring on if you would like a margarita! We ordered a $75.00 plate of filet mignon, shrimp, and scallops; I was disappointed for that price they give one shrimp a d two scallops? Steak was the bomb dot com though.”

I like the chicken kabob wrap and my wife typically gets the chicken bowl. The staff is friendly and helpful and the food is consistently good. Now let’s talk about the food… absolutely delicious! The burritos were packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. One thing you must try is their guacamole sauce with chips—it was fresh, flavorful, and honestly one of the highlights of the meal!

While the atmosphere is currently affected by nearby construction, it doesn’t take away from the quality of the food and service. Even with that, they still deserve top recognition.

I would gladly give Eva’s Tacos 5 stars any day of the week—a solid 10/10 experience overall. Highly recommend!”

I’ve been to many McDonald around the county of Los Angeles and I can say the service here is second to none. I never had not one single issue with the way my order was taken or prepared. Today I decided to write a review because I was having such a terrible day and the kindness from Dillon the drive thru employee who took my order made me feel like my night was now just starting to turn around. I always go late at night and you would assume the employees are tired and don’t really care . But Dillon took his time with my order , I never felt rushed , I asked to make everything fresh and I asked questions about the World Cup, cups that they were giving away when you ordered a meal and not once did his tone change . He answered all my questions was able to grant all the requests I made in my order. The gentleman who gave me order was also very kind . The late night crew at this McDonalds can’t be compared to any other . Keep up the great work !!!! This isn’t the closest McDonald’s from my house but I chose to always go here because of the service !”

I had the dulce de leche first and it was amazing and the freddo expresso transported me back to Greece. Not everone gets it on point. “Sushi & Teriyaki Plus is a great place to dine, have delivery or take away. It is an adorable. It is not large. Parking is easy and free.

There really is nothing you will not like there. Personally, we consider the shrimp tempura to be the best. But they have a great menu and you will find something you want. We also love their seaweed salad and their fried rice. It is all just great.

Their tuna sushi and their California roll are perfect.

The service is ever so friendly and they are fast. You order at the counter and they will call you when it is ready.

The place is just cute, not too big and not too small. The prices are fair. If you are in Downey this is a must stop. Have the best time. You will love it.”
