“I completed an online order the day before Christmas eve. I was expecting to wait in a very long line. Other than parking which I found in the next parking lot which was not bad. I was literally in and out in 15 minutes it was amazing. AND I was able to order additional items to my order in a specific cashier, and that was amazingly efficient as well....the quality is not only good but the man/woman power they had up there is a well oiled machine! Kudos for an amazing efficient system that not only makes the customer happy, but has calm employees handle everything with a team oriented approach. It was beautiful!!!! Amazing job everyone Merry Christmas!!!”

“Great ambiance and amazing food. I had a lot of food… falafel, spicy hummus, kafta kabob, tzatziki loaded with veggies, cheese balls, and baklava. All so delicious and fresh. I even loved the fresh pita and dipping sauce that was complimentary. From the manager and many servers, everyone was pleasant and friendly throughout my time there. I went during happy hour so the specials were great during that time. I’m definitely returning to this Mediterranean restaurant for sure. I loved it.”

“I've been going to Pieloon for a few years now and it is THE BEST restaurant in Downey! The food is always fabulous, the portions are large, the service is perfect! I've had appetizers, salads, pastas, steaks, burgers, sandwiches (I'm addicted to the BLT) and many of their specials. My family and I go now 2x a week and have trouble deciding what to get because it's all so good! And the pies...their pumpkin pie is the best I've ever had and the blueberry cheesecake is fabulous...but just wait until fresh peach pie season...I'll gain weight just thinking about it...the fresh peach is the best pie I've ever, EVER had! I love this place and the people who work there!! They're like family now!”

“Ordered pick-up because my mom loves Mediterranean food and this place was near the hospital she was staying at. They had the food ready by the time I walked down from the hospital room to my car. The order was put together and ready by the time I got there. The person who welcomed me was super nice and patient with me. It took me 15 minutes to get there and 15 minutes to drive back to the hospital, and the food was still warm. My mom enjoyed the wrap and the ice cream. I think this meal was the most she had eaten during her entire stay in the hospital. We will 100% be eating here again!”

“I stopped by yesterday and the line was long . The service was fast plus the time helps to pick a choice on which ice cream flavor you want or want to try. I took a friend and she can’t believe how amazing good her ice cream was (s’mores) I always get the monkey business it is bananas with brownies.”

“I ordered the cinnamon oat latte, and I'm usually not a fan of oatmilk but it was balanced so well against the espresso and the cinnamon that it didn't dominate the flavor. It was a very smooth drink, not too sweet, not too bitter, and not too strong.

My wife got the strawberry matcha latte, and while the matcha was of a decent grade and quality, the strawberry isn't a puree, nor is it like a strawberry creme or milk added in, it's an additive in powder form and she doesn't tend to like that.

Their chocolate croissant, which we shared, was heated up as requested, it came with a line of melted chocolate drizzle on top, which I think was similar to Nutella but less thick in terms of consistency. It was also topped with powder sugar, and it had an inserted line of darker chocolate, maybe 65%, so pretty balanced against the sweetness of everything else involved.

The area the cafe is located in is nice, it's a large promenade with several nicer restaurants (it's also sort of attached to it's restaurant counterpart) and there's plenty to walk around and get some shopping done or walk off the drinks and baked sweets. Plenty of parking as well, and the mall itself is only a block or two north from the cafe.”

I would have given this restaurant 5 stars had it not been for the fact that I received 1 shrimp when I paid extra to have shrimp added. If it's a case of $1 PER shrimp, this needs to be clearly addressed in the ordering options so we can add more than just one.
Apart from this, the food is excellent, and they even included the thai chilis I requested on the side.

we ordered the swiss mushroom and crispy chicken burgers, both combo so it came with friends and we can grab our soda of choice from the fridge. the place was spacious, clean, and had a lot of tables. once our food was ready, the staff brought it to our table!

swiss mushroom burger - THIS WAS SO GOOD! their beef patty is super juicy and flavorful. i haven’t had a burger like this before that makes you keep wanting to eat it. their beef patty is really really good. everything is so balanced, not overwhelmed by the mushroom or onions and it complimented each flavors perfectly.

crispy chicken burger - the chicken was indeed really crispy and juicy on the inside. this burger tasted like a hearty meal, not too salty or bland, on the higher end than other chicken burgers i’ve tasted.

their fries were crispy and seasoned well! i recommend getting their SPICY GARLIC SAUCE to dip. it was house made and delicious.

You can choose from either round or square pizza (both are good, but I prefer the latter). The choice of quality ingredients is extensive.
Everything from the sandwiches, salads, and strombolis are amazing. The fettuccine alfredo is the best I've ever tasted... seriously.
They often have items not listed on their menu available, such as slices of Luna (stuffed pizza).
In true New York style, they have whole pizzas in the display case which you can buy by the slice.
It's not cheap, but you are paying for quality. One of the BEST pizzerias in the Los Angeles area.”

“Let me start with the tacos—they are DELICIOUS. One of the best taco places I’ve ever been to! I honestly don’t understand the low reviews.
I stopped by during my lunch hour and they have great deals. I got three tacos, rice and beans, grilled jalapeño and onions, plus a drink for under $16.
The service is fast, and while the staff is on the quieter side, once I took the initiative to strike up a conversation, they really opened up ❤️ They were sweet, attentive, and welcoming.
