“Disclaimer, I didn't eat the food myself as I'm plant based. Dennis and Auntie makes it homey. When I look at the pictures and food, it feels authentic and rich, yummies families eat. Portions are great. Definitely smells tempting while I'm enroute to deliver these. Ordered BBQ pork skewers for my Greek friend and he can't stop raving about it. He asked me to get more for him on his birthday. Got the pork adobo for another friend. OMG! Delicious! He's a born and raised Louisiana chef so quite judgy when it comes to food. Definitely, ordering some dishes for my visiting family!”

“We had a great experience trying Gursha Eats. None of us had ever tried Ethiopian cuisine and didn’t really know what to expect. Azi was so welcoming and took the time to explain each dish and make recommendations. The food was delicious as was the Tej (honey wine) and traditional Ethiopian Coffee. We ordered the Awdamet Gursha, which includes several dishes and was enough for 2 with some to take home. Everything was amazing and we will definitely be back!”

“Fabulous evening with friends before Christmas. The decorations are warm and welcoming along with having the talented pianist at the grand piano. I had the most delicious seafood pasta ever. Large prawns and sweet scallops with homemade pasta was scrumptious. My husband had lobster tail on beet risotto. A little skeptical we all had a taste and it was delicious, too. We appreciate Mo’s graciousness and celebrate his almost 35 years in Salem. Our server Stevie, was efficient, friendly and took great care of us. Best restaurant in Salem.”

Wonderful service. I regularly go here for the Thai tea, which is always smooth and tastes fantastic. The tea is brewed well, flavored well, balanced well. I have traveled all over the country and would rank this Thai tea as top five in flavor and consistency. Their food is also delicious. It is clearly made with love. Fried rice is moist, savory, not greasy at all. I am picky about meat and texture. Their meat is well cooked and prepared. The noodles are perfect texture. The rice. Ive tried everything on the menu at this point. The vegetables are cooked perfectly, not too soft or hard, has their fresh flavor, not overpowered by spice. Delicious. Zucchini and eggplant are firm and soft, not soggy.

Curries are delicious. Service is kind. They get really busy sometimes, but never rude and they do all they can to be timely inside or when one orders to go. Lunch special is $12 and you get 2 gyoza, with yummy dipping sauce. ♡”

“As far as Taco Bell goes, this is the one I use as the gold standard. Best AM crunchwrap I have had, ever. Went back 3 times and confirmed. Cooked juust a little more than all the other locations so it has a little bit of a toasty flavor. Also no kiosk, so you order from a person, and the location is super clean.”

“I came to Offbeat Coffee for the first time today. The drinks were beautifully crafted, the baked goods were delicious, the atmosphere was somehow a cross between vibrant and cozy, and the servers were top notch with their customer service!”

He got the “wake yo butt up” burrito with sausage and I got an iced caramel horchata chai. The burrito was so good and I immediately wished I had ordered a bigger size of the horchata chai!!! We recently discovered El Toto Taqueria, and I can’t say enough good things about it!

From the moment we arrived, owners Evelyn and Louis were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. And they can COOK!

Everything was wonderfully fresh and full of flavor. The guacamole was some of the best I’ve had in ages — fresh, delicious, and a very generous portion. I had the steak and eggs, which were cooked perfectly, and the smashed Yukon potatoes were crispy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious.

You can tell there is real care and pride going into the food here. Great people, excellent food, generous portions, and the kind of locally owned restaurant you really want to see succeed.

El Toto Taqueria is definitely going on our “come back again and again” list. If you’re in Salem, give Evelyn and Louis a try — you won’t be disappointed! ❤”

My go-to are the sweet kolaches, champagne cupcakes (both the raspberry and strawberry are divine), and the chocolate covered pretzels tossed in seasonal sprinkles. I offered to pay for what I actually ordered, but lead bartender, told me that it was a second time and I was 86. I offered to pay for the drinks I actually ordered, but she insisted I was 86 if I didn't pay for extra items, so I walked out. It was second time accusing me of not paying and being aggressive about it. They need to learn how to properly train these young ladies, as I have paid for and paid extra for my drinks/food here. Very disappointed about this, and will not be back to a place that doesn't respect or trust the customer. This is a enjoyable establishment, only hope the staff learns to listen and understand the customer”

I got the Monday fried chicken soul, food, combo plate and every individual thing and all the things together are stunning.. Those greens are otherworldly like next level I will go back for just those at some point or those and mac & cheese because I didn’t know either of those things could be cooked so perfectly or taste so delicious. The fried chicken is once again season two perfection cooked immaculately (and fresh when ordered) and the cornbread, my god, perfectly sweet, dense sticky, but like not too sweet or dense or sticky just wonderful. Circling back to the mac & cheese. I just can’t say enough good things about it. It is so hard for such a delicious but not like overly intense cheese flavor to come through with the noodles. Perfect just everything about it.. the proprietor of this establishment has the most sunshiny, sweet aura very honest and kind. I can’t wait to go back to try everything else he makes.. please give him all your money so he can keep doing what he’s doing because Salem is a much much better place because of this man and his delicious delectable delightful impeccable food.”

“The staff was AMAZING for my Make a Wish family’s send-off party! Diana, Chris, Julia, and friends were so accommodating from setup of our table, serving food, and helping assist the final clean up. Every staff member wore Disney gear, from entire costumes and Pajama onesies to mouse ear headbands. Mirabel/Julia was a most wonderful waitress and the whole family loved her. Their team provided an entire party for us, filled with balloons, Encanto glasses, crazy straws, and even helped us setup additional decorations. I could tell they were so excited to apart of something special, and the thing is, they were the ones that made it so special. One server told me “we’ve been shopping for this for weeks!” They all smiled as they came by the table to say hello to our wish family. The entire restaurant transformed just for our wish and it was an amazing experience. My heart was touched by the joyful nature of these employees. Everyone came together to celebrate my wish kid, and I am forever grateful for their thoughtfulness. So often we talk about our wish kids bringing hope to the world, but now I realize that the hope also comes from those who come to help. Tonight my boyfriend and I were going to just order Pizza Hut when I decided to check out the pizza in the area. I’m not a huge pizza eating so I have to be on the mood. I saw Cascadia was around the corner and my boyfriend said let’s try it and he’d pick it up. I ordered the pizza with arugula and prosciutto and he got the one with the pepperoni and hot honey. Omg! Absolutely amazing. They were so fast too! He came back and said “that place is so your vibe we need to go date night there” he wasn’t kidding! The freshness was absolutely incredible! There will be my go to from now on when it comes to pizza!”

“We were on a road trip from California, to Oregon, to Washington then back again, and we needed to stop for food. I looked this place up and it had a high star rating, and I can see why! It’s not too fancy, just nice, and the staff is super friendly. I think it may have been the one we who served us. We split a meal, and he automatically split it onto separate plates for us. So nice! We got a Rueben sandwich and sweet potato waffle fries. Very good! Like really, really good! The house made ranch was absolutely delicious! The owner saw how much I was just using my fries as a vessel to eat the ranch (haha), and he brought me more and also some serrano aioli to pair with it. Wow! So yummy! We absolutely recommend you make a stop here!”

“Ok. Dreamies. Absolutely delicious and tasted just like regular dairy ice cream! We went with lesser expectations (being made with sheep milk) and were extremely impressed with the taste, texture and flavors. It was a clean space and hard-working teens behind the counter. Definitely worth dropping by!”

“Oh my goodness this pizza is good. I stopped in as I had to run by another shop in the center and saw the 3.50 slices for happy hour and last hour so I grabbed one. I should have gotten more than one slice! This is proper NY style pizza which is rare here out west. I'm going to be stopping in more often whenever I'm in town without a doubt.”
