Amazing food. Amazing hosts. The chicken curry was exceptional. I was new in NY and did not know that they close at 3pm. So I went in at 2:56 but was greeted me with happy faces. Mango lassi was great too! A must visit.
The food here is very good, but there are areas that need improvement. Service was mediocre and the time between placing our order and receiving our food was much too long. Also the size of the portions appear to be less than many of the other Indian restaurants in NYC. With some improvement this restaurant could be very good.
Went here with my family post graduation and the experience was amazing! The spot has an amazing ambiance with such welcoming and hospitable staff. The food was so fresh and presented well visually. The balance of spices and flavor was just right and executed impeccably unlike other Indian spots in the city. This place is definetly perfect for an enjoyable lunch / dinner or even just to grab a quick bite.
This restaurant Is awesome, the food is delicious and the people are great... I Really recommend this place to everyone that enjoys good food ... Thank you Mughlai for a great experience every time.
We ordered lunch for my job and the food was beyond delicious. It was filling, the samosa's were good, the chicken I ordered was amazing and the sauces were on point.

Went here with my co-workers. They over charged us 20% which we suspect was a service charge (based on another reviewers post), but they did not notate ANYWHERE that there was a service charge for large parties. It was not written anywhere that there was a service charge included. We accidentally ended up tipping another 20% on top and didn't notice until after leaving. Re the food: if you are looking for spicy Indian food, this is not the place. This good is Bombay style and the taste is made sweeter for westerners. Food was good since it wasn't very spicy, but imo, not authentic. Portions are very small for the price. Not very happy with the service charge.
Great service. Great food. Can't ask for much more than that. Now I just have to go burn off some calories...
Food here is extraordinary. One of the best Indian restaurant in NY. Staff is very supportive and presentation of food is also interesting. Our server Vinod was very friendly and make us feel like home. We will surely visit soon..!
Very good authentic Indian food. Great staff, and very good service. Strongly recommend the place.
Nice assorted range of Mughlai appetizers. I ordered an appetizer-curry deal which was worth every penny. To top it all, they even have Indian beer brands!! Must-dine place.

Nice little place. Staff extremely friendly. Decent food and not as expensive as I thought it would be.
Extremely mediocre food. A/c doesn't work when the outside temperature crosses 90 (as per the owner). Felt like sitting in the oven for food that was not worth it. Avoid...there are better options.
Excellent food! Simple little place with fantastic service and delicious somewhat distinctive food to go with it. Full credit to the owner who is onsite and a great host
Great place, great food, great staff! The staff is very friendly and accommodating! They are also very helpful during the ordering process and explain the dish if you aren't familiar with Indian food. We really enjoyed the fact that they had pictures of each dish to provide a good visual before you order. The evening my friends and I were there, MasalaWala himself was there. He is very friendly and I felt he truly appreciated his guests at the restaurant! I would recommend this restaurant!
Very good, hot and spicy Indian food. Staff very polite. Quite expensive, unfortunately.

I've become a big fan of their spicy Kati rolls (oddly called "wraps" on their menu). They are authentically spiced, made fresh for each order, and remind me of the meals I had in India years ago...Best of the local carts!
They have one the best Biryani I have tasted in NYC. The green chutney which they serve with it is the best one.
Try the egg fried rice with spicy green sauce. It's awesome
Chicken katI roll, chicken biryani was amazing!
Fantastic veg food including kati roll and veg rice!

Really amazing place. Super nice people and great quality food. I really appreciate good customer service and huge portions and these people certainly deliver that. I have been coming here for almost a year now and I will not go anywhere else. While I was waiting for my food, they served me a cup of water which I accidentally spilt while I was waiting and they were very forgiving and even offered me a new cup of water. Don't go anywhere else for your Indian cuisine because this is the best place in NYC!!!
very nice food, clean kitchen and excellent service. best indian restaurant we went to while visiting NYC. another bonus are the low prices for what they offer! would definetly recommend this to anyone visiting or living in NYC!
A cozy restaurant with excellent food and service - The flavors were authentic and delicious. I tried cheese uttapam along with sambhar. Sambhar was one of the better ones in NY. Mint Masala is a great spot in the neighborhood.
It's a great place to eat Indian dishes in Manhattan. Delicious tastes and nice service. Will come again and again!
GGG! Great food, Great service, Great prices! highly recommended
