“6 of us went for some Assamese specialties, which we enjoyed immensely, along with what we might think of as more usual Indian fare. The specialties we tried: salmon steaks prepared in an Assamese way, delicious; wonderful and very flavourful mustard greens and a delicious potato eggplant mix. The went chef was very helpful. This little gem of a restaurant is worth a visit and call ahead to order their specialties.”

I called for a reservation for my girl's birthday a week in advance and the owner remembered without me saying a word when we arrived. At the end he brought her a complimentary delicious French vanilla ice cream topped with a macaron and raspberries filled with caramel. That's world class. As for the main meal, we ordered crab cakes, scallops, and I had the ribeye and she had the striploin. It was cooked exactly the way we love it and the beef quality is absolutely fantastic. The Chilean wine we had with it was fantastic. My desert was a warm pecan pie a la mode. Just delicious. This is the kind of place you would want to be at for a special birthday. We will 100% be back. Service like this isn't common in Toronto and I think you will enjoy it as much as we did.”

Jack Astor’s is always a fun spot on game nights, but our lovable server Norah ,made this visit extra special on the Mexico vs England FIFA WC game. From the moment we walked in, Norah greeted us with the warmest smile and set the perfect vibe for the night. She was not only incredibly friendly and attentive but also seemed to anticipate what we needed before we even asked — refilling drinks, checking in at just the right moments, and making everyone at the table feel welcome.

Her energy was contagious — she kept the atmosphere upbeat, made great recommendations, and somehow managed to keep everything running smoothly even during the busy game night rush.

“I’ve been to this place quite a few times, and I do enjoy their oven baked pizza. Their dough is very nice and it’s very different from any other pizzas you may find in the area. The toppings they offer are also quite unique: wild boar sausage, wild mushrooms, salmon, arugula, etc. They also have a lovely patio that opens every summer! The place is equally great for couples and for larger family gatherings! I recommend!”

So to say we have eaten a lot of Mexican food is putting it lightly & I can say the food here is very authentic & made with love for the food, the mole is some of the best we've ever had including in Mexico & that's saying a lot. Corazon is Mexican done right & the warm hospitality makes it that much more special, this is our go to for Mexican here in Toronto & we will be here regularly. We love the atmosphere - so homey and comfortable. The decor is very cute.

We arrived on a Saturday so it was a full house - seating about five tables? But service was friendly and fast. The chef brought out most of the dishes herself, which I think is so intimate and refreshing. I very rarely see that.

My food was great as well! I highly recommend their signature noodle with beef sauce (what I got) and garlic broccoli on the side. We’ll be coming here again :)”

I got the green curry and the mango salad, and both were amazing. Everything tasted super fresh and flavorful. At the end they even brought out complimentary fried banana as a little sweet treat, which was such a nice touch.

The service was incredible and the whole experience just felt warm and welcoming. I’d definitely come back. Next time I want to try the Pad Thai or the Khao Soi because if those are anything like the green curry, they’ll be amazing too.”

I absolutely love coming here, especially post gym / on an appetite because the portion ratio you get is never skimped so you will always get your money’s worth, especially protein wise.

What I really love about this franchise is that they aren’t afraid to innovate compared to Osmows, Shelbys, etc. and all those other viral shawarma places you see on instagram and tiktok are never really true to their taste, prices and hype as influencers hype it up and get special treatment in portion sizes. Example is me trying their new blueberry chicken wrap to their ramen shawarma which where are you even getting these experimentations elsewhere?

Also the service is always quick, the place is clean but the utmost is Nitish, one of the workers there who knows me as a regular and just always greets and treats me like family. Even when I order over ubereats, he just knows; That goes a long way in creating a warm and welcoming vibe and environment without that force factor.

“My husband and I were in town for the Blue Jays game to see our friends. We couldn't get tickets for the Jays game, so they recommended that we visit the Bull on Bloor in Etobicoke. This was Game 7! Do or die! We were all adorned in Jays' paraphernalia and arrived early to get seated before it got crowded. There were already many Jays fans sitting along the tables. We sat down at the bar and were greeted by a beautiful and friendly bartender, Deja. She asked us how we are. We told her we were from out of town. She knew our friends very well, and she raced around the bar to give them a huge hug. She hugged us, too! We ordered a couple of Blue Jay beer specials, and we got very comfortable. Deja was interested in where we were from and if we had family. We have two grown kids who are away at school. She showed us a picture of her adorable 3-year-old daughter. She loves her so much, and you could see she was a great mom! It started getting busier as it was closer to game time, and at this point, there was only standing room. She had two barbacks help her get the orders in. The game was on, and it was getting louder and louder as people were cheering for our JAYS! It was complete madness with so many people that you couldn't breathe. But the environment was so energetic and fun, we didn't care. We could see how busy Deja was, yet she attended to everyone's orders and never missed a beat in a professional and friendly manner. She was truly amazing! I could never handle so many people at once. The night went by, and we all know the undesirable result of the game. The entire room was in shock, and their faces were just drained in disappointment. I felt like the overwhelming sadness was shared in the room, and we all began to console each other. At that point, some discouraged people stayed and drank some more, but we needed to go. Deja thanked us, and she ran around the bar, and we all had a vigorous group hug, knowing it would be okay. We will heal. We gave her a great tip, and she thanked us and asked us to come back again. We definitely will. I highly recommend stopping by the Bull on Bloor! We made great memories and new friends.”

Everyone in the group really enjoyed their luncheon choices and most had to ask for takeaway cartons. We had couple or individual bills and they were handled efficiently by the staff. We were disappointed with the service provided by Shriti. When we asked for some foil to wrap our roti, she handed us a piece that did not appear clean, which was concerning. Additionally, she was quite rude in her interactions and was constantly yelling at a coworker in front of customers. This created an uncomfortable and awkward atmosphere during our visit. We hope management addresses these issues, as good customer service and professionalism are important to the overall dining experience.

There’s an honest effort to provide good service and maintain the space for a great experience for customers. I would say it is the best cafe in the long branch neighbourhood. And would be wonderful to see more seating space in the summer!”

“Came in to Curry and Chutney for lunch with the family after a visit to the public library nearby. The place is beautifully decorated, very chic decor. Good for a date night. The food is pure veg and isn't too bad. We had the malai kofta with Naan which was pretty good. The dahi chaat was okish, but the palak dosa and filter coffee were very good. The reduced star is for the chaat dish which missed the mark. The service for pretty good and fast. There is parking available around the complex, so pretty convenient location.”

“Kings Kurry was incredibly accommodating. They catered our family dinner for Easter. And we definitely thought it was be an inconvenience; seeing how it was such a last minute request. But they whipped it up in just a day and had three platters ready for us. The manager even helped haul the food out to our car in the rain and hail. They have such incredible customer service and honestly great food family loved it and they made the experience quite memorable. 100% visit again. Did I mention that 50% of those were vegan / vegetarian. Are many options for meat eaters vegetarian vegans and many more!

On a separate occasion we also died in comedy the atmosphere was great the music was amazing and the customer service and wait staff were incredibly kind to us.

“The server was also the chef and I think he was a little grumpy at being on his own whilst 2 other people were in the back, but he was polite and didn't rush us even though we took a while ordering. We got the 2 fingers with a side of pickles and it was plenty for 2 of us. SO had the chicken and said it was great, fries had maybe a touch too much pepper for my taste but that's a tiny niggle in an otherwise excellent meal. Fried pickles were great and the shakes were awesome - very thick and flavourful, I'm guessing 2-3 scoops of ice cream in each. We got plum sauce, and pickles came with the house sauce too. Almost forgot about the garlic bread - much softer than I'm used to, but I liked it.

“My friend and my family had a wonderful dining experience at Tobiko on Bloor Street. From the moment the food arrived, we could tell that the chef takes great pride in every dish.

The sashimi and nigiri were incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. Every bite reflected the quality of the ingredients and the chef’s skill. It was truly a feast for all the senses.

We also ordered udon, which was excellent. Even the bowls, spoons, and chopsticks were carefully chosen and added to the overall experience. The attention to detail made us feel special.

Everyone at our table was smiling and enjoying every moment of the meal. Before we even left the restaurant, we were already making plans to come back.

Five stars are not enough for this place. Highly recommended to anyone looking for fresh, authentic Japanese food and an unforgettable dining experience.”
