“Food was pretty good. Not your usual Thai fare that is popular in the US. We had Grandpa's Thom Ka soup, a little too sweet for my taste. Sukiyaki was a bit disappointing. It was tasty, but the presentation made me think of leftovers. It was highly recommended by a few folks, and apparently they stay busy, so make a reservation if you decide to go. We are at 445 pm and overheard them telling walk-ins that it would be at least an hour wait.”

“We usually only go out for supper once a week, but when I saw Salute Restaurant & Bar Bend post about their gnocchi special tonight, I looked at Jim and said, “We're eating out two nights in a row!” I kicked things off with an Italian Margarita while Jim ordered a pilsner from pFriem. The amaretto float in the margarita gave it this amazing aftertaste that made me go, “Wait, what was that?”—in the best way. We both chose the “Local Special,” which includes a three-course meal for just $39. Such a great deal! For starters, Jim had the Caesar salad, and I went with the zuppa di cipolle. The onion soup was rich and flavorful, and I especially loved the cheese toasts on top—just like we do at home. Jim's Caesar was creamy, well-balanced, and hit all the right notes. For our mains, Jim ordered the scampi, which he said had a bright citrus flavor and just the right touch of garlic. I, of course, had the gnocchi special. Let me tell you, those gnocchi were light, airy, and practically pillowy. The pomodoro sauce was simple and perfect, letting the gnocchi shine. Dessert was a win, too. I had the strawberry cannoli—stuffed with ricotta and mascarpone, topped with fresh strawberries and toasted pistachios. It was crispy, lightly sweet, and a perfect finish to the meal. Jim was too full to enjoy his tiramisu at the table, but he took it to go and it looked beautiful—he'll be digging in later tonight. Service was excellent! I'm kicking myself for forgetting our server's name, but she was warm, attentive, and made sure we were having a great time. Her friendly chit-chat added that extra special touch to an already wonderful evening. Fingers crossed that gnocchi becomes a regular on the menu—hint hint! We'll definitely keep the Local Special in mind next time we're deciding where to eat.”

“Really enjoyed our dinner experience at Yoli this evening. So glad to have Korean food in Bend now. Each food was flavorful and the portion sizes are nice. We tried the Kimchi Jjigae (soup starter), Amtalg (roasted game hen with a yuja sweet/sour garnish & black truffle rice), Gaji (eggplant, mushroom, onion & scallion subbed japchae noodles since they were out of the rice gnocchi), the Jujube (korean date honey) Old Fashioned, the special dessert (a chocolate mousse cake with kimchi strawberries), and finally the black sesame ice cream with pine nut brittle. Everything was really 5 stars.”

“A fantastic little eatery hidden away and worth a visit. The gentleman tending bar (Brian) was affable, knowledgeable, and made me a great pisco cocktail. The lamb dumplings were delicious and were a perfect starter for a rainy night. Beef short ribs with bone marrow was the only logical follow for a main - and did not disappoint. I didn’t need dessert but the single burnt caramel truffle was literally only a bite more and worth the extra $5

The space is well appointed and comfortable if small. I went solo on a weeknight and didn’t need a reservation. The menu is not expansive and doesn’t need to be, they know what they’re doing. If you’re in Bend and want to treat yourself to a great meal do check out Dear Irene.”

He even put a birthday candle on our beignet order! Besides Alex’s amazing service, our beer was delicious, the food incredible, and the patio a perfect location for an overall enjoyable evening. Oh my goodness, the hummus was to die for! Perfect with our beer flights. It tops everywhere else we ate over our weekend visit, and will be the first place we go on our next trip to Bend. We highly recommend Monkless, and think you’re very fortunate to have such a wonderful employee as Alex, who made our experience there five star!!”

“They are the best!!! Perfectly creative drinks, we had the cucumber & wine freeze! I had the chicken bowl and my husband had the falafel bowl. Both were better than anything I can make at home. They are doing such an over the top job with all that has come their way this year. They are exceeding all the Covid restrictions. “They were out of a few flavors, but I went with white chocolate peppermint and dulce de leche and they were amazing. My boyfriend got their vegan chocolate and it basically tasted like the real thing. Atmosphere was the same as a lot of other trendy ice cream places.”

Truly a gem. Very reasonably priced ham and cheese croissant with a fruity herby jam. Mocha with a house made chocolate mix, not too sweet just how I like it.

And the atmosphere is somehow utterly charming and relaxed while in the middle of a bunch of busy streets. The outdoor seating area is ample with dappled shade, and adjacent to the coolest group of independent artist workshops, galleries, and other spots I’ll have to explore later.”

Hubby informed employee of his severe nut allergy and we were happy to learn that the only things that contains nut is their sour cream and peanut butter rub used for their seitan ribz. After looking at the menu for a few minutes, and seeing the list of ingredients for their vegan mac 'n cheeze sauce, I ordered the St. Louis Style Ribz with mac 'n cheeze and a special vegan Cuban sandwich with kettle chips while hubby ordered the classic mac 'n cheeze with tempeh. Upon picking up our food, we were impressed by the presentation of the food, the portion size and the combination of flavors. This vegan food cart is a must visit!”

And today, I plan to stop by to have breakfast but there are no parking spots available cause there are some customers who don't know how to park properly. ☹️ So that's my concern. Hopefully share some parking spots with Newport Market (just a suggestion). So my advise to future customers, go to Nancy P's a few minutes before they open to get a good parking spot. ☺️”

“It's a very peaceful atmosphere, at least for me, I been to many in town; Each with good coffee and nice atmospheres. Wildroots in particular for me is my coffee home. I can work on my art and my writing. While enjoying coffee; I always do the Americano quad shot, this place for me has the best in town. Also the service here is very personal and unique, always a friendly smile that brightens my day and leave me wanting to come back for more coffee and peace. I will enjoy having my 10 year sobriety coffee coming up in April, and well as those who have read can tell; when that day arrives, I will be enjoying it at Wildroots, they are open 7 days a week so I know that day will be covered with good service and friendly smiles. “By far, The best vegan place in Bend/Redmond. Everything is super fresh as you should expect a raw vegan place to be. The flavors are dialed. Whether you are vegan, vegetarian, or full blown carnivore, you will not miss out on flavor no matter what you choose on the menu. I am sure I've tried all items on the menu, but the wontons are my favorite. Don't forget their hot beverages. The medicinal latte and caramel latte are fantastic! It is a bit pricey, however, raw vegan is an experience itself and the food is made with time, care and maximum flavor with the freshest ingredients. It is well worth it! I will update my review with pictures next time I visit!”

We finally finished ordering… we looked around at the restaurant was empty but it was very clean and beautifully designed… we sat down and waited for our food again I watched the servers not very friendly or interactive with the guest , but to my surprise the food was served pretty quickly it was hot fresh and very delicious!! No doubt I would come back for the food hands down!!!! I just wish the service was better trained!! Because the restaurant had all the right ingredients for success except the service .”
