“Our party of four regularly treats ourselves to great meals, so we came to Somni with very high expectations—and somehow, they still managed to exceed them.

Every course was exceptional. I genuinely couldn’t fault a single dish. But what stood out just as much was the service and attention to detail. The team anticipated so many little things before we even had to ask: helping us identify the background music when we were curious, explaining the beautiful water carafe, having fresh napkins ready when we returned from the restroom, and countless other small touches throughout the evening.

One of my friends wasn’t particularly enjoying one of the wine pairings because it wasn’t quite their usual style. The sommelier noticed without us saying anything and proactively brought out a substitute sake instead. It turned out to be one of the best sakes I’ve ever had.

The food, wine pairing, non-alcoholic pairing, and the beautiful space were all outstanding. But more than anything, it was the level of attentiveness and genuine hospitality that made the evening so memorable.

Somni truly sets an incredibly high bar for what a three-Michelin-star restaurant can be.

For me, the evening was extra special as I was celebrating my “birth-month.” The team went above and beyond to make me feel celebrated, including a thoughtful gift, but what I appreciated most was the genuine thoughtfulness and attention throughout the entire experience.

The bar has been set very high from here. I have a feeling many future dining experiences will inevitably be compared to this one.

“Not sure why this place has lower reviews, I’ve been twice and had great experiences both times. Yes it’s a little pricey but the quality of the food is worth it. I highly recommend the penne with vodka sauce and the chili relleno, I have dreams about both.

“Such a lovely and cozy spot at 1 West Hotel! We didn’t have a reservation and went on a Sunday night, but we were able to get seated easily.

The drinks were great, and we tried the waffle fries, chicken skewers, sweet potato bake, and shrimp fritters. Everything was good!

It’s a great spot to hang out with a group of friends. They have lots of large tables and more of an open-table seating style, which makes it feel very social and relaxed. Definitely a nice place for a casual night out with friends!”

Suggestion: your food runners should take 15 seconds longer to slow down and clearly state what they are bringing to the table and conclude by asking us if we have any questions or if we need anything else. Some did some most did not, and they generally seemed overly rushed, which is understandable given how busy you were on a Tuesday night”

“I had such a great experience here. They have such a huge variety of Vegan options for any taste. I needed a location in this area to meet two different colleagues, I am the only vegan, I tried this and now I can't wait to go back for more. My colleagues also loved it. They were very happy to make a reservation for me over the phone. The person helping us was kind, helpful, patient. Parking immediately in the center was a little tight, but we did find a spot. Also, street parking is available all around it.”

Oh, and side note - my favorite parts of the night was when a well lubricated woman walked up to the DJ booth and asked for the check and her husband behind her tried to keep her the DJ wasn't a service booth... He Looked to the sky like Ben Affleck did after he opened and closed the car door for Jennifer Lopez.

Indeed, their Takoyaki was amazing, Howard Yang! 😍 We had 2 seasonal specials, the Spicy Crispy Shrimp Roll and the cold Tan Tan ramen. Both were fantastic, albeit a bit too spicy for me. Service is super friendly. We will definitely be back. Want to try a bunch of other things, including the hot ramens.”

Was a thin crust pizza but good crispy crust, not too thin. I got a strawberry spritz, non-alcoholic drink that was fresh and my friend got the Espresso Martini. I'd never tried one before but had a sip and will absolutely get it next time, very smooth. The bartender was nice and attentive.”

“I pass this darling European style cafe daily walking my grand dog and since I burnt chocolate croissants at home this am, decided to stop in for some for myself, my daughter & grandson.

First I was met by a friendly staff member and a blast of cold air- both so refreshing!
The pastries are made daily and they offer quite an assortment! All beautifully displayed. Bought a vegan one for my daughter, chocolate for my 4 yo grandson & lavender meyers lemon frosted one for myself! So delicious!”

I first met EVERYTABLE founder Sam Polk in 2013, when I was getting my master’s in social work. We were both in South Los Angeles, and I remember thinking his idea of making prepared, healthy fast safe Someone Look at myself in the food affordable was absolutely brilliant. I remember being able to get a huge, healthy salad for $7, and I loved the concept then and I love it now. **This is a casual dining experience just to note that***

There are so many options at EVERYTABLE. I took a few snapshots from the website because it’s easier to see just how much they offer. I got the Vegan Bowl with peanut sauce, and WOW. I could not believe it was vegan. It was so good!

I love that you can just walk in, grab something healthy, and go. I also got 10% off my first order, which was a nice bonus, and it looks like you can have EVERYTABLE delivered as well.

I always prefer eating organic whenever possible, so I would love to see healthy, organic food become readily available and affordable for everyone—not something reserved for people who can afford to pay a premium. It’s kind of crazy that we have two separate food categories: food people can afford and food that is actually good for them. I'd love for Everytable to bridge that gap.

Thank goodness Los Angeles has EVERYTABLE. Anyone who doesn’t know about this place is truly missing out. I will absolutely be back for another Vegan Bowl and more. Support local.”

After an icky start - getting a reservation was problematic- we really had a good time, the food was nice, and the service was immaculate. Sadly, the three of us were seated under a speaker. The prices are also on the high side.

But what you're paying for is the setting and nostalgia. I mean, we dined in a converted train car!

The inside is dark, sultry, and decadent. The service is solid though a bit scattered at times.”

“I find the one star reviews to be interesting. I agree it’s probably frustrating that this isn’t a walk-in shop, but not enough to tank the rating. Seems a bit entitled. The team probably should just note that on the door or on Google.

Outside of this, the ice cream is outstanding, and I do think worth grabbing a pint if you can get through the site, which can be fussy. It’s not impossible. The flavor reviews are subjective. I’ve had ones I’ve loved (there’s salt in the vanilla! The mint is fresh and sans waxy chocolate!) and ones I’d probably pass on (the strawberry is more like sorbet); I still think there’s a flavor for everyone!

“Pura Vida Miami in West Hollywood is a fantastic, aesthetic, and family friendly spot to hang out, whether you are bringing a small group or a larger party. The overall vibe is super chill and clean, offering both great indoor and outdoor seating alongside a convenient prepay setup with excellent service and a huge parking lot in the back, which is a rare win for such a popular area. Everyone at our table genuinely enjoyed their food and drinks. The salmon bowl was incredible with a surprisingly thick, juicy piece of salmon that was cooked to absolute perfection without being dry, and the falafel, chicken, steak, and tuna options were all hits across our group.
That said, a few details fell short of the otherwise high bar. The empanadas were a total miss dry, soggy, and excessively salty, as was the garlic aioli and we also had to constantly dodge water dripping from an AC vent overhead throughout our meal. Minor hiccups aside, it is still a wonderful, vibrant location for fresh and delicious options, and we would gladly head back.”

Mic's isn't trying to be flashy or fancy and that is the genius of it! It reminds me of Cheers because almost immediately, you inevitably get to know everyone who works there and all the regulars.

The staff is the best that I've come across in the city - CB, Cody, Kyle, and everyone else - they are the nicest and the most fun.

“Everything I ordered at Guac Daddy was so fresh and delicious! The Deluxe Box is perfect when you want a little bit of everything. It comes with two tacos, a quesadilla, a vampiro, a mulita, plus totopos and guac. I also had the hibiscus rose drink and finished with the churros, which were the perfect sweet ending. Great portions, bold flavors, and not a single disappointing bite. I’ll definitely be back!”
