I submitted a large take out for my brothers birthday dinner and knew this spot was fire when they called to ask for clarification for my order. We ordered a two general tso chicken combination platter with fried rice, mei fun (thin noodles) with shrimp and also another one with chicken, general tso tofu combination platter and additional sides (fries + vegetable fried rice). I personally ate the chicken mei fun and the food was so good I forgot to get a picture. It was so flavorful and addicting. I added a bit of their chili oil on top and it was the perfect level of spicy that complimented my food. I spent about $108 for all our food which isn’t bad to serve 7 people.

“For some reason we were skeptical about returning to the premises after the experience we had under the previous owners. It was a massive mistake - my wife and I thought we would 'give it a try' and I am kicking myself for all the times we drove into DC from Silver Spring looking for a fun place to eat! From the moment we met Aidan Rinehart the GM, until we received and paid the check, we were blown away by the vibey atmosphere, the speed of delivery and the great tasting and well presented food. Alyssa, our server, deserves a special mention for her knowledge of the products, her attentive but unobtrusive service and exceptional friendliness. She is an absolute asset to Zinnia and we hope that she'll be there for as long as we patronise ZInnia, and it is well worth patronising. We look forward to trying the dinner menu, but we will definitely be back for a repeat 'Tavern' experience as well Compliments to the owner, GM, chef and staff - see you all again soon!”

“This Taco Bell is my 24 hour go to!! The food is excellent & the staff is perfectly friendly. They serve alcohol too but I haven’t had any of it. People seem to enjoy it though. The location is perfect for concert goers as it’s directly next to The Fillmore. I however try to start my day here with breakfast most days. It’s delicious & a perfect eating out treat while sticking with a daily budget. Each Tuesday they have their “Tuesday Drops” through their app & while sometimes they offer limited edition merch usually they’re offering $1 special menu item ranging from Mexican Pizza to Nacho Fries to whatever is newest on the menu. I hope to be one of their loyal regulars maybe even forever. ;-)”

I brought a group of friends with me, and every single one of them loved their meal. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in.
It’s rare to find a place that has both great food and such outstanding customer service. Nash & Smashed definitely exceeded our expectations. This is a must-try spot, and honestly, it deserves way more attention than it gets. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending it to others!”

“District Taco was nice, clean, and in a good location. The food was good, but overall I found it somewhat expensive for what you get. The menu felt pretty basic, and I was surprised that the burritos didn’t come with rice and beans, or nachos on the side.
You also have to ask for salsa and sour cream since there isn’t a salsa bar, which I would have preferred. There were also quite a few people standing around waiting for To-Go orders, which made the atmosphere feel a little crowded and was somewhat annoying.
Overall, I’d say it was an average-to-good experience, but definitely not a GREAT one. I gave it 4 stars for the effort and the overall cleanliness and location, but there’s room for improvement in the food value and service experience.”

“Amazing. If small batch roasted high quality coffee is your thing, this is the place. Small space with perhaps, some may feel, a limited offering of choices, but This roaster knows his stuff!! He roasted a pound of the Mexican coffee I chose to the roast level I desired. It was perfect. You can see in the photo that the roast was uniform and perfect, in all aspects. The coffee itself was a super high quality and brewed up a perfect cup at home. This Mexican bean had a nice nutty hint and rewarding flavor that lingered pleasantly. I can hardly wait to return and have more coffee freshly roasted to my own tastes. Finally!! Most highly recommended.”

Definitely, a lot of vegan or trendy dishes but nothing popped out. She settled on the Beet Salad with Salmon and I a chicken sandwich with home fries. She liked her salad but I wasn't impressed with my selection. It was indeed a hearty portion but did have much flavor. The spicy Aoil is what gave it elevation. The fries were very oily and didn't have any salt. I only ate the bottom half with toppings and 1 fry. The Witches Brew was strong but needed to be microwaved. I wouldn't come back but I hear it's a neighborhood watering hole. Maybe the weekend brunch or pizza offering is better.”

Price escalates quickly with each option. I paid about $10.38 for an everything bagel with sausage, egg and cheese. Overall, I would recommend.”

I ordered the chicken wings and suya combo for $38, and it came with exactly that: chicken wings, beef suya, and shredded onions. The amount of meat was definitely generous, but quite a few pieces of the beef suya were fatty. So I’m still going back and forth on whether I feel like $38 was worth it. 😂
That being said, the flavor was REALLY good, and I enjoyed the food overall. There’s limited street parking, but I didn’t have much trouble finding a spot.

“My first time being to this restaurant although I have been experienced in Ethiopian food many times before and my family is also from there , when I first sat down, I wanted a beef sambusa but was guided to chicken wings instead and I did feel a bit offended as a black woman, it seemed as though the server (who I assume is her daughter) just assumed maybe I didn’t know anything about their food but I still thought it was a little rude but kept dining in.
Everything in terms of food was delicious, I had to ask for my sambusa again and a spoon and fork which I felt should be on the table anyway because not everyone will eat the whole thing with their hands but for the most part I understood and enjoyed the experience
I didn’t like how it wasn’t mentioned gratuity was included within the check so my meal was a lot more than what I had planned for but thankfully I had enough. I asked her about it (the younger one, assuming she’s the other woman I mentioned daughter) and she couldn’t even explain to me what gratuity was. I’m not trying to be offensive but I just feel if that is the policy it should be stated because otherwise it’ll leave you feeling scammed. You also have to ask for salsa and sour cream since there isn’t a salsa bar, which I would have preferred. There were also quite a few people standing around waiting for To-Go orders, which made the atmosphere feel a little crowded and was somewhat annoying.
Overall, I’d say it was an average-to-good experience, but definitely not a GREAT one. I gave it 4 stars for the effort and the overall cleanliness and location, but there’s room for improvement in the food value and service experience.”
