“Cute lil spot in Long Island City that opened approx. a year ago serving up authentic Japanese fare. Great for impromptu lunch or to catch up with friends. They do open for dinner and drinks but I haven’t been yet.

I came for lunch with two of my friends. We tried the Omurice, Vegan Ramen and Matcha Soufflé Pancake. I omitted the bacon from my rice. The rice was a bit dry or overcooked and the egg wasn’t as eggy/runny as expected. We shared the matcha pancake, it was delicious enough to disappear in under 5 minutes. Our drinks were delicious as well. Mine was a bit too sweet for my taste so I watered it down.

“Yesterday, on the Mid-Autumn Festival night, we brought our parents and children to have a meal together. We usually go to Flushing for hot pot, but we didn't expect such a good hot pot so close to LIC. There are many special dishes, all of which taste good. The bell shrimp slider and egg yolk shrimp slider are both good. The medium spicy base is just right. I will try the spiciest one next time.

But what makes me come back is the great service. The person who served our table was Tao, who was very attentive and provided us with soup and vegetables in a timely manner. One time, the soup accidentally spilled. They quickly replaced us with a new pot of soup and replenished various dishes. Before leaving, we were even allowed to taste the homemade soy milk in the store. Not because of these dishes, but because it can be seen from these actions that Tao really cares. He takes care of our family with intention. He hopes that we can eat happily and not be unhappy because of accidents. He only observes such subtle things out of kindness. , the service is so attentive. This kind of service is no longer common in fast-paced hot pot restaurants, and I hope that this original intention can be maintained. Thank you Tao for giving us the opportunity to take our children and parents to enjoy this wonderful experience. We will come back for food soon. I wish you a happy Mid-Autumn Festival!

In addition, the ladies and gentlemen in all the stores are very friendly. When passing by, they will subconsciously check the table to see if there is anyone who needs service. They will also say hello and say thank you for coming. It feels very friendly, like home away from home.

Lisa is always friendly and accommodating --- greeted me and my hubby with a pleasant smile and also checked up to make sure that everything was fine during the course of our meal. Server, Jasmine waited on us a couple of times --- one of it was today, 2/9/2024. We were happy with her service and everything else. Our overall experience with Manetta's Ristorante is excellent. I highly recommend.”

We got a welcome eggnog, brilliantly cooked 3 course price fix menu, great service. There were some hiccups (soup came out crazy fast, while the drinks took the normal time. A little odd) loved that they had a kobe steak as arn option, very moist turkey too. Pumpkin creme bruleee was tasty-not too "pumpkiny". They even have us a free champagne with dessert. Food
Perhaps the least expected, but the food here is actually great. The highlight of it all is the grilled chicken caesar salad, we have yet to find a better one in this neighborhood. The tacos and grilled cheese are also not bad, but maybe more your typical bar stock.

Service
The bartenders all have a kind of calm, amicable presence. In the three years I’ve lived nearby, I’ve never seen even a trace of impatience, even on busy nights. They’re always getting into conversations with the locals, and it gives the place a friendly vibe.

Ambiance
I think this place is underrated as a date spot. It’s not fancy, and sometimes some of the tables can be a bit sticky (hey, spills happen it’s fair). But the lighting is nice — a warm amber light fills the place, and I think it makes you look better. I always feel like I have good conversations with people here, and I can’t quite say why, but I think it’s the vibe. If you’re not looking for anything too fancy, and just want a down to earth place to meet up with someone, this is your spot.

I ate it all and drank all the juice with no shame and would have had no problem getting another. The lamb burger was ok but I don't think I would get it again. I have had others that were way better so that's the reason for that. The flavor of the lamb was good but the bun was a turn off for me. The bun to me resembled two slices of white bread. If that's your style then I would recommend it but I've had ones that were more flakey which is what I like more. I will definitely be back for the cucumber salad and to check out other items on the menu.

Parking: Good luck finding street parking but you still have to walk.”

“I didn't realize that I've been to their Flushing location 6 years ago until I searched my photo library for this review. This location is in the food court inside Hmart LIC. It was grand-opened in May. And luckily the 30% grand opening discount continued to get extended for a couple of months, so it was a no brainer for me to visit every time I was in town during this period:

- Curry Pork Cutlet $17. Nice big platter size plate, but the pork was bland and the curry had no heat. It was a disappointment.
- Jolmyun Dukbokki $12. Dukbokki with glass noodle in the mix. It was better than expected and not as spicy as it looked. Good.
- Seafood Udon $14. Clear broth with prawns, fish cakes, and clams. Not bad. But I'd have Seafood Ramyun instead.
- Seafood Ramyun $12. Spicy and additive broth with lots of octopus, some clams and 1 prawn. Definitely recommend this over the Seafood Udon: better texture, more kicks, and $2 cheaper to boot.
- Pork Cutlet Udon $14. This is better than the Curry Pork Cutlet. At least the cutlet was hot and crispy and the udon soup was comforting. Not bad.

Prices are before 30% discount. Service can be slow, particularly for soupy dishes which can take 25 minutes without line. You can return your tray etc in the back of the food court next to the bakery.”

From there I linked up with my friends , got a contact for a job , heard about accommodation going for rent and bumped into old friends. “If you want a fresh, healthy meal that leaves you satisfied, Sweetgreen is a must-visit. I was in a rush and a bit upset because my favorite salad the Super Green Goddess, usually only available online wasn’t on the in-store menu.

Elisee noticed right away, went above and beyond, and kindly made the salad for me anyway. I added chicken for extra protein, and she even suggested trying the new ripple fries with their special sauce on the side trust me, it took the meal to the next level!

Every bite of the Super Green Goddess shredded kale, baby spinach, roasted sweet potatoes, shredded cabbage, spicy broccoli, roasted almonds, chickpeas, raw carrots, and their signature green goddess ranch was fresh, vibrant, and delicious. The fries were crisp, perfectly seasoned, and the sauce was the perfect finishing touch.

The whole team was energetic and welcoming, but Elisee truly made my day with her kindness and attention to detail.

I tried their mango one and strawberry one, and it was perfectly balanced—just the right amount of sweetness and fruit freshness.

The staff was super friendly and helped me choose the perfect drink based on my preferences. Plus, the shop itself has a cozy, welcoming vibe, perfect for relaxing or catching up with friends. Highly recommend if you’re a milk tea lover!”
