“Forgot my wallet there and received an email the next day from Josh H telling me they found it and I could come pick it up. Was super grateful for their help and kindness! Atmosphere and drinks are also great, highly recommend!”
“Love this place! Excellent service, great food, wonderful environment! I’m going back. Love the moctels!!!!Great experience!”
“This Chinese restaurant offers a spacious and clean dining area, making it a comfortable place to enjoy a meal. The service is attentive, ensuring a pleasant experience from start to finish. Food is served quickly, perfect for those looking for a fast yet satisfying meal. The flavors are delicious, with fresh ingredients and well-balanced seasoning. Their lunch special is a great deal, making it my go-to choice whenever I visit.”
“NYC typically rivals the Chinese food you can find in the Bay Area and Hupo certainly helps that case. Focusing on Sichuan style cuisine, Hupo has a wide array of entrees and bites that will leave you full and wanting to come back for more. They certainly do deserve their Bib Gourmand. We had a reservation for 5 set for dinner and were glad we did so as the place was very busy when we arrived. The interior is clean and simple with no frills. Once seated we were informed that they only have digital menus through a QR code which was a bit difficult to navigate with 2 out of the 5 of us being older and not as tech savvy but we figured it out anyways.
We ordered a few different entrees and split them family style so we’ll go over them generally. Side note: although many of the dishes are noted as being spicy you can request that they be made without any spice. For dim sum/appetizers we ordered the scallion pancakes and pork soup dumplings. The scallion pancakes were okay, nothing special about them but the pork soup dumplings were a bit better with a tasty broth inside and nice chewy dumplings. For entrees we got duck fried rice, braised beef noodle soup, beef with broccoli, and dan dan noodles.
The duck fried rice was very good. Many places opt to use day-old rice for fried rice and you can often tell by the texture, but if they do that here then we were fooled because the rice tastes fresh and the duck was perfect. The braised beef noodle soup was also good, not the best we’ve had, but still good with the beef having a nice texture and the broth being rich. The beef with broccoli was great, the beef velvetized and delicious, the broccoli, well, broccoli. Lastly, the dan dan noodles were fantastic. The noodles were cooked perfect, the minced beef very delicious, and the bok choy tasty as well. As it is food wise, Hupo is a standout, particularly in the Western Queens area, the only knock being its service is a bit iffy with the workers being not too warm but for the meal you get, we’re willing to shut up and just eat. A fantastic restaurant all around!”

“If you don’t like a ramen with an actual broth base, keep walking! But if you like quality ingredients and no-frills ramen, this is the ramen for you. Shio is straight broth and the Sho Yu is slightly a bolder version.
The Cha-Shu pork were excellent cuts, with the right mix of meat and fat, and they were braised to the perfect melt-in-your-mouth texture without being too soft.
All for $18. Yes please. There is clearly a focus on quality ingredients and precision preparation. The atmosphere felt very tidy and a step above casual, with light jazz music and airy decor. A great add to the neighborhood.
The fries were quite nice as well.
The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. They had an authentic interest in our dining experience. We’ll definitely be returning from time to time. Hopefully brunch is similarly impressive!
FWIW, we sat at the bar for a chill date night and enjoyed to intersecting with the bartender while she carefully crafted mixed drinks that each had a unique edge to them.”
“We went for Thanksgiving, not expecting much. Understanding they would be busy at 7pm, we decided to take our chances and walk in. Super friendly service. We got a welcome eggnog, brilliantly cooked 3 course price fix menu, great service. There were some hiccups (soup came out crazy fast, while the drinks took the normal time. A little odd) loved that they had a kobe steak as arn option, very moist turkey too. Pumpkin creme bruleee was tasty-not too "pumpkiny". They even have us a free champagne with dessert. Really worth it”

“We are regular customers of CARLA. The food is consistently delicious. There’s something for everyone here (one of us is vegetarian and the other is not. Plenty of options for all.) It never disappoints. The staff (especially Lisa and Pablo) are always welcoming, attentive, and eager to make sure our dining experience is outstanding. CARLA is a little gem. Don’t miss out! P&G”
“We had an amazing dinner here after stopping in to the nearby sculpture museum (also very cool). Good frozen cocktails, fantastic tacos and everyone on staff was kind, accommodating and quick! They had little hats for the kids which were so cute, and strong AC inside. Great place for a summer dinner out!”
“Great view, and great staff, there were always long lines for the 2 bathrooms though. I also do NOT recommend the margaritas, they are pre-batched with some nasty mixers. Stick to the 1&1 (vodka soda, gin tonic etc), or beer. Our friends did order the burger, and it looked and smelled amazing.”
“Yesterday, on the Mid-Autumn Festival night, we brought our parents and children to have a meal together. We usually go to Flushing for hot pot, but we didn't expect such a good hot pot so close to LIC. There are many special dishes, all of which taste good. The bell shrimp slider and egg yolk shrimp slider are both good. The medium spicy base is just right. I will try the spiciest one next time.
But what makes me come back is the great service. The person who served our table was Tao, who was very attentive and provided us with soup and vegetables in a timely manner. One time, the soup accidentally spilled. They quickly replaced us with a new pot of soup and replenished various dishes. Before leaving, we were even allowed to taste the homemade soy milk in the store. Not because of these dishes, but because it can be seen from these actions that Tao really cares. He takes care of our family with intention. He hopes that we can eat happily and not be unhappy because of accidents. He only observes such subtle things out of kindness. , the service is so attentive. This kind of service is no longer common in fast-paced hot pot restaurants, and I hope that this original intention can be maintained. Thank you Tao for giving us the opportunity to take our children and parents to enjoy this wonderful experience. We will come back for food soon. I wish you a happy Mid-Autumn Festival!
In addition, the ladies and gentlemen in all the stores are very friendly. When passing by, they will subconsciously check the table to see if there is anyone who needs service. They will also say hello and say thank you for coming. It feels very friendly, like home away from home.
Thank you for your delicious food and beautiful hearts.
Kid-friendliness: It would be better to prepare some small children's plates instead of plastic boxes”
“If You’re in the area, it’s a good hangout place. It’s good to watch games and/or have a good meal. Friendly staff and cozy atmosphere.”

“Erick is an amazing server. Has recommend me two different type of meat and has become my top three. Marinated steak is my favorite one. Always attentive and friendly. I come here often and I bring my friends and it never been a bad moment. Thank you Erick for serving us. We would see you soon again 👍🏽. Wonderpig is goated 🐐”
“Our recent private family birthday bash at Manducatis Rustica was wonderful! I can not thank Gianna enough for her time in planning the menu and offering to prepare anything my family likes. The food was delicious and abundant , the staff was attentive and kind, the tables were set beautifully. It was like being in my own home -warm and friendly without me doing all the work . I will be returning for dinner often! Bravo to Gianna and all her staff at Manducatis Rustica !”
“Came by for Sunday brunch. Welcomed and seated by a hostess at the bar with a smile. I recognized the bartender/ server - Diego, from my past visit and so did he. A friendly guy with smiles who walked me thru his fav’s - which I asked for. I thoroughly enjoyed my mocktail, Tiradito de Tuna, shrimp ceviche, corn ribs, fish tacos and Tres leches…😋🫶‼️Great energy in the room with live DJ. This place wins for its “presentation” of any dish with flavors! Great food and friendly staff. This is my nth visit and will frequent it. Ty for making my day off…😉😋👏🫶‼️”
“My husband and I have eaten here twice: both times we’ve enjoyed delicious pizza, pasta, wine, coffee, and desserts. The staff are attentive and kind without hovering. Most recently, a couple and their young son were having dinner too. Beebe’s is a great choice for so many different people and families.”
“I love this place! I’ve told all my friends about it. The music is 10/10. Drinks are 10/10. Service 10/10. I had such a GREAT time. My man and I literally danced all night. The manager gave us shots because it was our birthday. So sweet!
Food is 4/10. They don’t have much on the food menu so I recommend eating beforehand and enjoying their cocktails cause they’re bomb!
The vibe is so open & free people just want to have a good time! And the aesthetic is so cute. Can’t wait to visit again!”
“😀I have known Manetta's Ristorante since 1990's and have been going there. Food is always excellent and the prices are good. The staff and servers are pleasant. Lisa is always friendly and accommodating --- greeted me and my hubby with a pleasant smile and also checked up to make sure that everything was fine during the course of our meal. Server, Jasmine waited on us a couple of times --- one of it was today, 2/9/2024. We were happy with her service and everything else. Our overall experience with Manetta's Ristorante is excellent. I highly recommend.”
“We had the best pre cruise visit since we were staying nearby at a hotel. Both bartenders were excellent and the regular customers! Made us “southerners” feel comfy and offered up ideas and suggestions of navigating the concrete jungle! If we ever return to NY, we will definitely be back. Awesome food! Awesome service! Excellent drinks. Made our trip!!”

“We've been to more DnD/BR locations than I could ever count and this is easily one of our favorites. Even though it's part of a busy Food Bazaar food court, they always keep it clean and they're always super friendly (especially to our kids). There are 2 small tables inside, 4 small ones outside in the food court, and about 10 shared picnic style tables (that seat 4-8 people each). The free underground parking on a hot day is a huge bonus!”
“The sweetest, most caring employees. Always make sure nobody feels rushed while also making sure everyone’s orders get out in a timely manner. Food is authentic - great lunch deals for when you’re in a rush but want a complete meal. It’s open 24hrs hence at times it’s a little slower bc there is less staff but overall, always a pleasure doing business with them ?✨??”
“This is five starts from me for having me the Carbonara with the chunky chicken tonight. Nice, sweet and delicious green peas and lots of melted buttery cheese inside the hot container. A very lightly minty flavor was coming from the black paper that has met my energy as soon as I start eating that high. Great Cook and I apologize for anything. Bye”
“Food and atmosphere were far better than other McDonald’s in NYC - but Jingxuan is perhaps the star of the show!! I only caught a glimpse of his name tag but his service and manners were better than some waiters I’ve had from Michelin restaurants. Give the man a damn raise! Or just make him the manager if he isn’t already! I’m actually amazed 👏👏👏”
“Loved this place! The staff were super friendly and welcoming. I came with my dog, and they gave us a really nice spot to sit — such a sweet touch! 🐶
They also recommended three drinks, and honestly, all of them were amazing. The vibe was great — there was even some live music later, which made the night even better.
Perfect spot to chill and relax after work. I’ll definitely be coming back!”

“I've always walked by this shop and wanted to check it out one day. While they have a selection of Korean household dishes/banchan, you can also order food to eat here (although there isn't much seating except for a bar at the window).
Their selection of banchan (Korean side dishes) are thoughtfully curated and made in-house. They seem to use premium ingredients and their prices reflect that. I didn't get any of their banchan as I already had a lot at home, but I did try their beef kimbap. Maybe my expectations were really high, but I didn't see anything special with it. It was good, but you could easily find kimbap that tastes just as good at a more affordable price.”
“The quality of the food, level of service, and the neatness of the place… thumbs up 👍. We had an entire table filled with meals and side dishes, and the bill was $50ish, which is more than reasonable in today’s economy.”
“Authentic Japanese spot serving quality cuts at a fraction of the price of other places. Particularly enjoyed the salmon and tuna cuts as well as the takoyaki. The atmosphere transports you back to little hole-in-the-walls in Japan and the staff are so sweet and attentive. Will definitely come back!”
“Saw this truck for a while & I enjoyed Thai food but never considered it. No particular reason why as I saw a few people I'm acquainted w/eat there.
So June 10th, I suddenly had the desire for 🍗 & 🥦 with garlic sauce. I walk around and see that Thai Taste had that on the menu.
I purchased it for $12. Note they take cash & Zelle. Probably other options too but these are the ones I use so I remembered.
Workers asked me if I wanted it spicy or not.
The food was great. I have no complaints about the food at all.
I went back 2 days later for the same meal with a little more spice.
S/N the sudden desire for 🍗 and 🥦 came because I walked into a room where someone was eating it.🤣. I found that out later.”
“One of the best spots to check in LIC! They have a cute patio where you can sit outside. It’s the coziest thing ever especially in Fall season. The spicy chicken linguine is definitely worth to try. Have to mention that all the events going on here are 100% lovely 🥰 The time of getting my food is also acceptable! Staffs are nice.”
“Super friendly service. I ordered a pad see ew with chicken and it was delicious. Surprised to see such an authentic place on a commercial street on Steinway. Lunch specials are super affordable and good portion size. I'm looking forward to trying the duck egg noodles next!”
“Our favorite hangout spot in the neighborhood. There is a solid draft menu and a few bottle/can options also. There is usually a rotating food vendor cooking next store also, but you can bring in DoorDash/etc too. The bartenders are good and the cat (Brownie) is super friendly!”
“Saw a friend’s band play here last week. I don’t love LIC as a neighborhood but this place is nice. It is a really cool space with a great backyard and the staff are incredibly friendly. Highly recommended if you are in the area.”

“I stumbled onto this place yesterday. I just recently started working around the corner. I entered the coffee shop and I was instantly greeted by such a sweet lady. I ordered the Nutella monster but explained to her that I don’t want it too and she made it absolutely delicious. Tasty and not too sweet at all so I didn’t feel too guilty for bending my diet haha! I also bought an avocado toast with a side of bacon….ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! This morning, I went back….yup, I sure did. Today, I tried the hot Nutella latte (again, less sweet) and was perfect for me! I’m loving this place!! Thanks Sip A Cup!! :)”
“Birch on 7th Ave and 14th street is my fave spot to get my afternoon skinny flat white during our class break at Pratt. The crew there is always great and I love the tip jar questions. Hang in there dear Birch! Looking forward to seeing you all again when we’re through this.”
“Very simple place with some stools and a counter but if you live in the neighborhood just take it to go. I can’t confirm they always do this but when I ordered the guy in the back stated slapping some noodles and made my meals to order. The noodles were nice and chewy, the sauce was spicy with a bit of good depth (not overly complex but also not too simple). There was just the right amount of pork meat that was tender enough to break into strips to make eating a little less messy. One of the best things is my dish was 13 bucks. Which is a nice price for a good meal. They are also a chain with one in mid town Manhattan that I’ve been to and the lamb cumin noodles were also great. Hard to go wrong with fresh pulled noodles that is kind to your wallet.”
“Absolutely fire. I was out of the city for like a week and this was the first spot I ran to when I got back home. The service is always impeccable, the staff is so sweet and care about satisfaction. The birria & tinga tacos are phenomenal, highly recommended. I have a gluten allergy and have not gotten sick, so truly 10/10 across the board.”

“We took crepes and fresh squeezed orange juice, everything was delicious! The waitress was so polite and the bartender very welcoming, i will definitely go back and recommend everyone to visit the beautiful patio in the back.”

“Cute place with delicious teas ??. First picture is of Pineapple Green Tea the next pictures are of Passion fruit green tea. The latter is very sweet even if it wasn't with sweetness 100% the former definitely less sweet but both were tasty and the price is also reasonable.”
“I pretty much go to Maman every morning Monday to Friday so much it’s become my morning ritual. William is an awesome kind quick barista with great energy, he makes you feel like you’re apart of the community. I mostly get the cold brew but the croissants are truly the best in the city. I can’t remember life before Maman lol!”

“Everything is good and love the duck with the pancake so much, will definitely come back again with my family and also wanna thank you for Tony”s good service!! He was patient and explained all the details to us even though it was busy.”
“If i could give this place more than five stars i would ! food is phenomenal , staff are amazing . Pictures to follow”
“Culture Lab is a awesome place. They had exhibits of swords and armor. They also had a concession stand as soon as you enter the building and they had concerts and concession stands outside in front of their building. Will be back to culture lab to check out the other concerts.”

“We returned on a visit to McLoughlins 38 years after it was the initial beacon on my arrival in the USA. From there I linked up with my friends , got a contact for a job , heard about accommodation going for rent and bumped into old friends. It created a network and a safety net for a whole generation of Irish immigrants. John is carrying on the traditional welcome provided by his father and uncle. He could not have been more helpful or kind as well as having that natural gift of the gab good barmen possess. Drinks were also fine”

“Good food prices are lower than most stores around. there buffet is cheaper per lb. Then the Food cellar supermarket 4-5 blocks down the block. I can’t believe all the negative reviews that’s not my opinion!!! I have been living in LIC since April I go at least twice a week for lunch better the most places in the area wish buffet was re stocked for dinner and Millie her self is a nice person some times people are just to critical 🤷♂️”

“If you want a fresh, healthy meal that leaves you satisfied, Sweetgreen is a must-visit. I was in a rush and a bit upset because my favorite salad the Super Green Goddess, usually only available online wasn’t on the in-store menu.
Elisee noticed right away, went above and beyond, and kindly made the salad for me anyway. I added chicken for extra protein, and she even suggested trying the new ripple fries with their special sauce on the side trust me, it took the meal to the next level!
Every bite of the Super Green Goddess shredded kale, baby spinach, roasted sweet potatoes, shredded cabbage, spicy broccoli, roasted almonds, chickpeas, raw carrots, and their signature green goddess ranch was fresh, vibrant, and delicious. The fries were crisp, perfectly seasoned, and the sauce was the perfect finishing touch.
The whole team was energetic and welcoming, but Elisee truly made my day with her kindness and attention to detail.
If you’re craving something fresh, flavorful, and made with care, Sweetgreen and especially Elisee should be at the top of your list!”

The vibe is so open & free people just want to have a good time! And the aesthetic is so cute. Can’t wait to visit again!”
“It the best Mexican food I ever eat.”
