“This place is all natural. I stumbled on this cute shop via instagram. The vibe makes you feel like you traveled to the caribbean and left california temporarily. There was a lady trying out samples of the juices while i was there and she couldnt stop talking about how good the santa rosa juice was. I highly recommend getting the dirty monkey smoothies. They offer acai bowls, juices, smoothies and cleanse programs. The employees are very sweet and kind. Free small parking lot. Reasonable prices. Dont forget to sign up for their reward programs as well.”

“Lure Fish House is one of my go-to happy hour spots. Happy hour runs Monday–Friday from 3:00–6:00 pm and Sunday from 11:30 am–5:00 , which is honestly elite timing.

First of all, the complimentary bread deserves its own shoutout. Warm, comforting, and dangerous in the best way.

I’m obsessed with their oyster bar, especially the Grassy Bar oysters and the charbroiled oysters. I always order the house-made chowder 50/50, it’s half Classic New England and half Veracruz fish chowder. It’s rich, flavorful, and truly the best of both worlds.

I’m a big fan of their shared plates, which is where Lure really shines. Favorites include the bacon cheddar biscuits with whipped honey goat cheese, crab cakes, and a classic Caesar salad that never disappoints. Everything is well-executed and perfect for sharing.

Their specialty cocktails are also worth ordering and pair well with the food, especially during happy hour.

The vibe is lively but not overwhelming, making it perfect for after-work drinks or a casual dinner with friends. I personally love sitting at the bar or oyster bar, it’s the best way to experience the space. Service has always been friendly and efficient,

Parking is easy too. Free parking is available in the structure behind the restaurant, which is a huge plus in downtown Ventura.

I honestly never make it to dessert because I’m always completely full, and that says a lot. Consistent, welcoming, and a solid go-to for seafood and happy hour in Ventura.”

“Would give this place 10 stars if I could. Everything about this place is perfect! Starting with the friendly staff, and the flavorful food that just hits the right spot. Seldom outside of India would you find a casual, unassuming and surprisingly authentic tapas/cafe style Indian snacks. We are so glad we made a pitstop here on our way from Santa Barbara to universal studios, we were drawn here due to its unique name (kaapi means coffee in Tamil, specifically, their filter coffee) and the super interesting menu items. We would have ordered everything if we could have (we almost did). The cashew paneer dosa was just heavenly, just the right amount of crisp and the creamy yet aromatically spicy paneer is hard to find! The chef has perfected his recipes to the T. the chicken and waffles was a surprisingly authentic twist on the traditional fried chicken, I was so excited to find something like this outside of the south, and was mouthwateringly yummy. The chana puri was even better than the ones I find at South Indian joints - hands down one of the top three places for Indian inspired food in the country (living in the states for over a decade). Wish them all the best on their culinary journey, a true true gem indeed!”

“Dan closed the brewery down for the Ventura County Sportfishing Club holiday party event. 60-70 members/guests attended. The staff handled the party with aplomb and assured everyone enjoyed the evening. This is some of the best craft beer you can find. The food was amazing and plentiful especially the short ribs. I would encourage a visit for some great beers. And if you are having an event, I would strongly suggest working with these folks. These are some of the nicest people you will find at any establishment in Ventura. I will be a regular.”

“Great spot for tasty, healthy, authentic tai food! I’ve been coming here for years, this spot and the one by Winco (AM) have always delivered the best food and service! Cannot recommend these restaurants enough but this one is half a block from the beach and cozy so a perfect date night spot with a beach walk to burn of the night’s calories. I first came here interested in trying tai curry and boy have they made me a big fan, now it’s a staple in my diet, the sirloin steak green curry is amazing, you can cut the steak with a fork, I’ve tried all the curry’s and still have some dishes to try because they have such a large menu with so many great choices. Expect friendly service and food to come out quickly!”

“Wonderful service. My favorite part was the young woman serving us new exactly what I meant when I asked for my chow mien with sprouts and no actual noodles. I was so excited to find a place that did it like Lee’s Chinese restaurant in Santa Paula did when I was a kid. So happy. “Model Citizen is one of those vibey spots that feels elevated without being stuffy, and Mondays are my favorite time to go.

They are open Thursday through Monday from 4 pm to 9 pm and closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Happy hour runs daily from 4 to 6 pm and all night on Mondays. And yes, you can order happy hour from anywhere you sit in the restaurant, which immediately earns bonus points.

Mondays have the best energy. It is relaxed but still lively. I am obsessed with their salads, especially the Caesar, heavy on the parm please.

The happy hour menu never misses. Smash burger with fries and garlic aioli is a must. And if you are getting a drink, go for the Negroni. They make a very good one, balanced and done right.

They offer wood-fired pizza, a sourdough bakery, and natural wine, with two distinct experiences.
Bakery and café run from 8am–2pm.
Dinner service runs 3pm–9pm.
Open Thursday through Monday.

The entrance alone is worth mentioning. A cool, alley-style walk-up on Palm Street behind Capriccio makes it feel tucked away and special. Inside seating is cozy and limited, so I recommend making a reservation if you want to sit indoors. Otherwise, the outdoor patio has heaters and a great atmosphere. It is counter service, and gratuity is included.

Parking is easy with a free public parking lot behind the building and another across the street, which is always a plus downtown.

Food wise, everything feels thoughtful and well executed. I started with the market greens, simple, crisp, and tossed in a fresh vinaigrette. You really cannot go wrong with any of the pizzas, but the Emily Alba is my favorite for that perfect sweet and savory balance. The house-made yuzu ranch is a must.

I also loved being able to watch the pizzas come out of the wood-fired oven. The staff is knowledgeable, kind, and happy to help with recommendations.

The drink menu is just as strong, featuring minimal intervention wines, seasonal spritzes, and locally sourced beers, ciders, and meads.

Overall, Pinyon strikes the perfect balance of cozy, elevated, and approachable. A great spot for morning pastries or a relaxed dinner. Highly recommend.”

“After over thirty years of dining at arts Carrie never had a bad meal and the people were always the best at what they do there’s three places in town that are the top three for a place to eat and enjoy the best staff that’s always been art’s corner cafe Pete’s breakfast snd two tress restaurant and even though art’s corner cafe is no longer owned by art the boys who own two trees hxx as ve done an awesome job at opening two trees across the street from where I’ve lived for over thirty years but when they opened it was good at best but the boys improved there service there food evolved and became of the best in taste snd quality and nis they own arts cafe now and have kept up there reputation of great food and great service and woukd recommend putting your name down in any of these three ventura iconic food restaurants and enjoy a great meal worth waiting for every time”

We finally tried this place and were super impressed with the quality of the ingredients, the consistent (yes we have come here more than a few times and gotten the same thing) preparation, great and friendly staff, and really bright and welcoming space. All which make Edenic a must go place. One smoothista (basically a smoothie mixologist) gave us a suggestion so good we have been reluctant to try other menu items.”

We were introduced to a concept called Musical Bingo that day, and I was delighted to make my first visit to the brewery on my 55th birthday in May. “After over thirty years of dining at arts Carrie never had a bad meal and the people were always the best at what they do there’s three places in town that are the top three for a place to eat and enjoy the best staff that’s always been art’s corner cafe Pete’s breakfast snd two tress restaurant and even though art’s corner cafe is no longer owned by art the boys who own two trees hxx as ve done an awesome job at opening two trees across the street from where I’ve lived for over thirty years but when they opened it was good at best but the boys improved there service there food evolved and became of the best in taste snd quality and nis they own arts cafe now and have kept up there reputation of great food and great service and woukd recommend putting your name down in any of these three ventura iconic food restaurants and enjoy a great meal worth waiting for every time”

“Great views , good food! Casual place. \n\nWe wanted to eat by the water. We sat inside but there is also outside seating. \n\nHusband had Ahi sandwich and it was cooked rare, and he said it was good. It was pretty big with fries! I had shrimp and crab quesadillas, they were served with an avocado cream sauce over it and a large scoop of shredded cabbage. Delicious! (2 could split it) \n\nFull bar available too! Place your order and you get a beeper, head over to the bar and order your drinks, pay separate from food. \nGet your parking ticket stamped for free parking.”

“It's been a long long time since I've been to a Tommy's and decided to stop in on a Friday evening during a drive south to LA.

This location is right off the 101 in Ventura and has a great drive through. Unfortunately the lack of an ordering screen and the loud road noise nearby, cause the chili dog I had ordered along with a double chili burger to translated as an order of chili fries.

That issue aside the food was hot, well seasoned and just what I remembered in terms of heavy, rich, salty, savory chili piles on crisp fries and hot beef. Tommy's is truly indulgent and has been around for decades for a reason. The photos may not look appetizing, but it's some gooood stuff.

Grab some extra napkins and try Tommy's if you've never been but check on your order carefully if there's any confusion during the order process. I'm sure I'll be back.”

“Met a friend for coffee. Ordered the avocado toast with balsamic glaze, tomatoes and lots of yummyness. It was fantastic. Purchased some empanadas to take home. These empanadas were FANTASTIC! The seasonings were perfect. Ordered beef, chicken, beef and potatoe and potatoe and bacon. The dough is light and crispy and I can't compliment the filing enough. Definitely will be back. Do yourself a favor and plan a visit here.”
