“The staff is so disrespectful! We arrived at this place around 12:35pm and the hostess said they would have a 35 min wait list. We said ok, got our names in the wait list and left. After 35 min I came back for a time check and the hostess said more 30 min wait. We have a toddler and 1 hour wait would be too much for the toddler. I asked to talk to the manager but the hostess said there was no manager on duty that day. I insisted since that wouldn't make any sense. After begging to talk to the person in charge, finally someone showed up. The manager was even more disrespectful than the hostess - she kept this ironic smile all the time and said that the hostess removed our names from the list by mistake but nothing could be done, not even offer us the top of the wait list and we had to go to the bottom of the list again. She also said they were doing the best they could - I left without saying a word since keep discussing was just pointless - when I walk out the door I just heard "and please don't come back". Just don't come here.”

It's so cozy and warm, and currently beautifully decorated for Christmas; a highlight this time of year is the eggnog latte, perfectly foamed and spiced. Every team member I've dealt with over the past few days during my visit here from Ontario has been lovely, kind, and accommodating, and if I lived here, you can be sure I'd be a regular at this warm and inviting neighbourhood spot. Service was quick and friendly, and prices are very reasonable for the quality. The menu has tons of options and I'll definitely be back to try the House Roll. Highly recommend if you're in the area!”

In reality the main reason we come back is for the Animal burger - literally our favourite burger on the north shore. I’ve had it 6 or 7 times and it’s so consistently juicy and flavourful. It’s also paired with some really more-ish fries.
The pub itself is a really nice space and the staff are all friendly - a top tier hangout in Lower Lonsdale!”

“This Tap & Barrel location at The Shipyards in North Vancouver is super close to my office, so it's my usual go-to spot with coworkers for lunch. This time, my husband and brother came by to visit me after work, so we headed over to take advantage of their Happy Hour which runs every day from 2:00 PM-5:30 PM & 9:00 PM-close, plus ALL DAY Monday!
It's a massive location with two full floors of seating and stunning waterfront views. Our server was awesome and gave us the absolute best recommendations for our table. We fueled up on an epic spread:

Out of all the Subways I have eaten at, this resturant is by far the cleanest, most efficient one I’ve been to in all my 30 years of experience. I am very particular about my sandwiches, and Simrandeep had an immense amount of patience and understanding when it came to my allergies and food aversions. This is the Subway to go to, and other Subways could learn a lot about good service and atmosphere from here. 5 stars!”

I was visiting Vancouver from Calgary, and Hidra Sandwich in North Vancouver absolutely blew me away. The flavours, the authentic spices, and the unique combination of ingredients make their sandwiches stand out from anything I’ve tried before. You can really taste the care and passion that goes into every bite.
A special shoutout to Miss Fareema, who is an amazing chef! The food was so good that I came back three days in a row during my visit. That should tell you everything you need to know!

For food, we ordered the pesto pasta (the last pasta on the menu), which our server recommended, and the focaccina pizza. Both were delicious!
Our server, Katherine, was absolutely lovely. She was very polite, friendly, and pleasant, and really made our experience better. She was doing her best to make sure we had a great time, and I appreciated her service so much that I even asked for her name so I could mention her in this review!

I had heard that they were bringing back burgers and omelets and other favorite lunchtime fares on their new lunch menus. Me and my friend were treated to the best and freshest burger that I have ever eaten in my life. A delicious quarter pound beef patty prepared ground on the spot and prepared fresh for us. I thought I had died and gone to burger heaven. The burger was cooked perfectly with mozzarella cheese, onions, mushrooms, bacon, and lettuce and tomato on a fresh made in restaurant delicious bun. We were the first to be treated to these fantastic burgers and am planning to go back over the weekend and chow down on more burger comfort food. It was out of this world delicious. I had ordered a side of french fries before my meal so when my deluxe burger arrived I chose to have rice on the side. Great choice by me again! ! I just want to thank my friends at Andreas restaurant (North Vancouver) for bringing back burgers to their establishment. It was a bon bon day to have such a delicious lunch at my favorite food place and it was wallet-friendly as well as this big burger meal only cost me CA $15.50. “The vibe is a classic mom-and-pop style. I've never been here before, but I've seen this place for a long time.
Plenty of vegetarian options. I had the mango basil rolls, which are spring rolls filled with vermicelli noodles that come with this peanut sauce. It's a clean dish, even with peanut sauce it didn't feel heavy. I recommend having it with chili oil mixed with the peanutsauce.
And the veggie sub: The veggie sub is a sub-style sandwich with tofu and veggie filling. The tofu was so soft I thought it was cheese.
Also the prices were quite good.
