What sets this place apart is their deep commitment to sourcing ingredients locally or growing them in-house and you can absolutely taste the difference in every bite.
We started with the Bad Dog Bread, which they share a facility with. Since the flour is milled in-house, the bread has a unique, rustic depth to it and it’s served with a knockout onion butter and tapenade. Such a strong start.
My wife, a vegetarian, ordered the Ricotta Gnocchi, which was light, flavorful, and perfectly balanced comfort food done right. I went with the Fusilli Chicken Alfredo with Spinach, and honestly, it was food-of-the-gods level good. Rich, creamy, but not overwhelming, just beautifully made.
We wrapped up with their Tiramisu, which came with a refreshing lemon zest twist that caught us completely off guard in the best way possible. It was a creative, elegant finish to an already incredible meal.
One thing to note: portion sizes might look modest at first glance, but don’t be fooled they’re incredibly satisfying and filling. It’s a testament to the quality and richness of the ingredients.
Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for Italian done right, with integrity, creativity, and serious flavor. We’ll definitely be back.”

Burrata w/ bread: one basil leaf, a few drops of olive oil, and sourdough toast. Bread was good but seemed like a slightly strange bread pairing. We requested additional olive oil on the side which was very tasty. Wish there was a bit more basil to give the dish some dimension. 6/10
Zuca piselli pasta was cooked nicely, had fresh ingredients, however the sauce lacked flavor and depth. 6.5/10
Finochiona pizza had a great thin crisp crust and ideal ratio of sauce, cheese and toppings—however it got soggy quickly based on the serving plate. 7/10
Tiramisu was good but the lady fingers were a bit dry and the mascarpone cream was dense—probably kept in the fridge too long since prep. 6.5/10
Service
We had to ask for more water a few times, probably a consequence of understaffing. No serving utensils were provided so it made scooping pasta on to our small plates a bit awkward. The table was never wiped nor were fresh plates offered between courses. For $50/person I would definitely expect the table to be wiped before serving deserts.

After 35 min I came back for a time check and the hostess said more 30 min wait. We have a toddler and 1 hour wait would be too much for the toddler. I asked to talk to the manager but the hostess said there was no manager on duty that day. I insisted since that wouldn't make any sense. After begging to talk to the person in charge, finally someone showed up. The manager was even more disrespectful than the hostess - she kept this ironic smile all the time and said that the hostess removed our names from the list by mistake but nothing could be done, not even offer us the top of the wait list and we had to go to the bottom of the list again. She also said they were doing the best they could - I left without saying a word since keep discussing was just pointless - when I walk out the door I just heard "and please don't come back". Just don't come here.”

“We had a beautiful lunch at the Cliffhouse restaurant while visiting the Capilano suspension bridge park. We ordered the Pacific codfish and chips and poke bowl and both were beautifully presented and delicious.
The service was exceptional with the staff very interested in our preferences and restrictions. I ordered a Spanish coffee, which was absolutely delicious and particularly warming on a cold rainy day.
The prices were extremely reasonable considering the quality of food and location. If you are looking for a beautiful sit down meal well visiting the park this is an absolute must stop.”

Burrata w/ bread: one basil leaf, a few drops of olive oil, and sourdough toast. Bread was good but seemed like a slightly strange bread pairing. We requested additional olive oil on the side which was very tasty. Wish there was a bit more basil to give the dish some dimension. 6/10
Zuca piselli pasta was cooked nicely, had fresh ingredients, however the sauce lacked flavor and depth. 6.5/10
Finochiona pizza had a great thin crisp crust and ideal ratio of sauce, cheese and toppings—however it got soggy quickly based on the serving plate. 7/10
Tiramisu was good but the lady fingers were a bit dry and the mascarpone cream was dense—probably kept in the fridge too long since prep. 6.5/10

We had to ask for more water a few times, probably a consequence of understaffing. No serving utensils were provided so it made scooping pasta on to our small plates a bit awkward. The table was never wiped nor were fresh plates offered between courses. For $50/person I would definitely expect the table to be wiped before serving deserts.

We ordered a gluten-free pizza with vegan cheese and I was thoroughly impressed with the flavour and the amount of toppings!
