“The staff is so disrespectful! We arrived at this place around 12:35pm and the hostess said they would have a 35 min wait list. We said ok, got our names in the wait list and left. After 35 min I came back for a time check and the hostess said more 30 min wait. We have a toddler and 1 hour wait would be too much for the toddler. I asked to talk to the manager but the hostess said there was no manager on duty that day. I insisted since that wouldn't make any sense. After begging to talk to the person in charge, finally someone showed up. The manager was even more disrespectful than the hostess - she kept this ironic smile all the time and said that the hostess removed our names from the list by mistake but nothing could be done, not even offer us the top of the wait list and we had to go to the bottom of the list again. She also said they were doing the best they could - I left without saying a word since keep discussing was just pointless - when I walk out the door I just heard "and please don't come back". Just don't come here.”

We ordered fior de latte gelato for dessert and it was a tad too sweet, though still enjoyable. I would reccommend ordering their tiramisu for dessert, though they have a limited number of tiramisus, so order ahead if you're planning to come for dinner.
The service was overall attentive and pleasant. Atmosphere wise, it was a bit too loud for my liking, however the space is really cozy and tastefully decorated, so I'd definitely come back at a less busy time.”

“Today I was so happy to discover this little Korean-style café inNorth Vancouver . The food was absolutely delicious, and the coffee was even organic! Usually when I come to the NV area, I only visit a few of the well-known cafés, but this time I searched on Google and found this five-star hidden gem — and it truly lived up to the rating.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming, always with a smile. The breakfast and brunch menu was really interesting — even the avocado toast came in several creative variations, and the prices were very reasonable. We ordered the Avocado Egg Sourdough Toast and the Bibimbap Bowl for 10.99, with extra mushrooms. Everything was freshly prepared by the chef, so it arrived warm.
Their special sauce was unique — a little spicy, a little tangy — drizzled over the avocado toast, paired with fresh salad greens that really boosted the appetite. The beef was also seasoned perfectly, very flavorful, and the coffee was rich and aromatic.
Definitely a place I highly recommend!”

And when I say hole in the wall, it's the cutest little shop I've seen on the north shore. I glanced at their sandwiches and one of them could tell I was hesitant and suggested I order the cheesesteak. The Japanese woman was super friendly and I could tell this was going to be better than average. Well, the sandwich was delicious. Probably the best melted cheese sandwich I've had in North Vancouver. As for overall sandwiches on the north shore, I'd rank this place just behind Dip Co. in Deep Cove and tied for second with Puccini's on Lonsdale (or slightly ahead of Puccini's if you include quality of service). I'll be going back this week for the chicken pesto sandwich and then eventually try their small selection of Japanese food which I hear is great, too. I'm so glad I stumbled onto this hidden gem.”

“I was in Deep Cove, thinking about grabbing a Subway when I noticed Genji Japanese Restaurant next door and couldn’t resist stepping in. The restaurant is right beside Subway in Parkgate Village Shopping Plaza, with convenient parking right in front — super easy stop.
Even though it was close to closing time, the receptionist welcomed me with a warm smile and patiently helped when I mentioned I’m vegetarian and not very familiar with Japanese food. She suggested a few options, and I went with avocado sushi for take-out.
While waiting, I noticed their private dining booths, which looked great for a more cozy experience, and the main dining area was very clean with a really nice atmosphere.
My order was ready in about five minutes, the price was very reasonable, and the service felt genuinely friendly. The sushi was fresh and delicious — honestly one of the best vegetarian sushi experiences I’ve had.

“you will not find a deal as good as the ayce one here at c-lovers. the fish and chips were actually fried really well — super hot, fresh, crispy, with each bite releasing a torrent of moist, juicy fish — and obviously the quality of the fish is not mind-blowing quality, but the taste is still really good. the fries are also thick, potato-y, and warm, perfect with a sprinkle of salt. the tartar sauce is tangy and has a really strong dill flavour, and it comes in a bottle so you can really splurge. it does get a TAD greasy/oily once you eat a bunch in the end, but their LEGENDARY coleslaw is REALLY creamy and fresh, so it balances well. they also don’t load you up on fries (and you have the option to only get fish/choose how many fish you want when you order again), so it really is a fantastic deal. bottomless pop too. the onion rings are also massive, had really hot, thick batter, and was just so good. C-LOVERS FOR LIFE !”
